This Iconic Hawaiian Resort on O'ahu Has a New Spa, Luxury Oceanfront Bungalows, and Many Family-Friendly Experiences

The 50-year-old Turtle Bay Resort on O'ahu's North Shore completed an extensive renovation that added some impressive new amenities.

When the sprawling Turtle Bay Resort first opened its doors on the tranquil North Shore of O'ahu in 1972, it boasted 808 oceanfront acres and was larger than the entire Waikiki area in Honolulu. Del Webb, the former owner of the New York Yankees, had developed it, hoping it would become the first casino in Hawai'i, but his dream would never materialize.

Yet, with its iconic Y-shaped design gracing the rugged coastline of Kuilima Point, the resort etched its name in history. Nestled near the Seven Mile Miracle, a renowned stretch of coastline housing some of the world's most famous surf breaks, including the Banzai Pipeline, the resort's narrative intertwined with the rich tapestry of surf culture. It became a haven for the sport's luminaries, hosting events and annual award ceremonies for the World Surfing League.

The property also remains the only full-service resort in this area of O'ahu , attracting families and travelers seeking a relaxing alternative to Honolulu's overdeveloped shoreline.

After a multi-year renovation completed in 2023, the first of this scale since its founding, the resort is ready for its next chapter as a meeting spot for surfers, North Shore visitors, and as a steward of the land it sits on.

Aside from updating its accommodations and public areas, one of the resort's most notable additions is a 469-acre farm that supplies fresh ingredients to its restaurants and the local community.

"Being on an island, especially on the North Shore, we're limited with our resources to offer high-quality, fresh ingredients to our guests. Having the farm on the property allows our chefs to work closely with the farmers and the farm's management team, Pono Pacific, to inspect and hand-pick seasonal ingredients for their dishes," Jon Gersonde, the resort's vice president and managing director, told Travel & Leisure. 

Los Angeles-based designer Dianna Wong and the architects of Honolulu firm WCIT Architecture have completely transformed the property itself. One of the most noticeable changes is the lobby, which is now completely open and greets guests with breathtaking views to the east and west, making it the perfect spot to catch the sunrise and the sunset. 

The space also features a large-scale mosaic floor art piece by Hawai'i-based artist Nick Kuchar, printmaking work by Abigail Romanchak, and a mural by North Shore native Jack Soren. 

The terraced pool deck now includes a chic infinity-edge adults-only pool, a hot tub, and a sun deck overlooking the remodeled family pool area and pool bar, Sunset, that serves a family-friendly menu.

The resort's spa, a sanctuary of relaxation, has been reimagined with 11,000 square feet of amenities. It offers a variety of wellness treatments inspired by the resort's serene setting, providing couples and solo travelers with the perfect opportunity to unwind and recharge at their own pace.

Here's what to expect from your stay at the newly reimagined Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of O'ahu.

Wong led the renovation of the 408 guestrooms and suites, for which she drew inspiration from the area's surfing heritage and the ocean as an everpresent element.

"The property's transformation embraces the natural splendor of Hawai'i by incorporating materials such as local monkeypod, organic fabrics, indigenous plants, and hand-woven artisan carpets," Gersonde explained. The color palette, too, invokes the resort's scenic setting and includes a calming spectrum of blues, greens, and creams, as well as pops of reds and deep oranges reminiscent of the sweet papayas growing on the resort's farm. Dramatic murals behind the beds depict crashing waves and remind guests of the natural power and beauty that makes the North Shore so famous. The interiors include a sitting area, private balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views from every room.

However, if privacy and tranquility are a priority (honeymooners, take notice!), upgrade to one of the resort's brand-new 43 bungalows (nightly rates from $1,999), located steps away from the ocean water, south of the resort's building. The newest addition to Turtle Bay's roster of accommodations offers guests a range of unique amenities that ensure an elevated experience. Guests check in in a separate area and are whisked away to their bungalow by their personal "host." The structures boast high ceilings, sophisticated design, spacious bathrooms with soaking bathtubs and walk-in showers, and a lounge area with a pull-out sofa. 

But my son and I spent most of our time enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean on our private (and fully furnished) lanai.

Bungalow guests also have access to a range of exclusive amenities such as an adults-only pool and cruiser bikes, as well as many complimentary services like tours, priority beach club seating, tennis and pickleball courts, and mountain bike rentals. 

The property's new and renovated food and beverage venues highlight Hawai'i's natural bounty by offering guests various cuisines and dining settings.

"By eating at resort outlets, our patrons are helping to sustain the Ahupuaʻa land resource management we practice here as 80 to 90 percent of the items on our resort menus are sourced from our resort farm or community farmers [so they are ] not shipped, flown, or imported to the islands," said Ted Suter, the director of learning and development, referring to the ancient Hawaiian subdivision of land that starts at the top of a mountain and ends at the ocean.

The resort's most noteworthy addition is its Ocean Club Lounge, a bright and airy space with indoor and outdoor seating, where guests enjoy chef-prepared breakfast, lunch, and dinner appetizers in a buffet-style presentation and various drinks. Access to the Ocean Club Lounge can be arranged as an add-on to any room booking.

The resort's signature eatery, Alai'a, takes patrons on a culinary tour of the islands with a menu that celebrates seasonal produce and fresh seafood, such as Kona Kampachi Sashimi and Furikake Crusted Ahi. But meat lovers won't leave disappointed, either — various prime cuts and free-range chicken sourced from local vendors are also available.

Sundowners are best enjoyed in Off the Lip, a 25-seat lobby bar fronted by an infinity edge feature that amplifies those fiery sunsets.

The resort holds its popular Paniolo Lūʻau dinners every Wednesday near the stables, celebrating Hawaii's ranching tradition. The event starts with cowboy games, weaving lessons, and cocktails by the ocean and continues with a delicious dinner that includes a roasted pig slow-cooked in an imu (don't worry, there are also plenty of vegetarian and seafood options). The evening culminates with a Paniolo and hula show and a fire knife performance.

The list of experiences at Turtle Bay Resort is so long that you'll probably need to stay weeks, if not months, to participate in every single one of them, so narrowing it down to a few to keep you and your family occupied while you're there might be the most challenging task.

I booked a kayak sea turtle tour for my son and me, which took place in the stunning Kawela Bay, a short golf cart away from the resort. Not only did we thoroughly enjoy the company of at least a dozen turtles for the duration of the tour, but the tour guides went above and beyond by planning a treasure hunt for my son along the coastline after we got out of the water.

Of course, the North Shore is synonymous with world-class surfing. After the renovation was completed, Turtle Bay Resort was the first property to launch the Jamie O'Brien Surf Experience, a surf school in collaboration with one of the most popular surfers in the sport.

"Jamie is a North Shore native and a surf champion who has an infectious positive energy and who actually learned to swim in our pools when he was a kid. It was the perfect fit and place for him to start his school," Gersonade said. The school also offers adaptive surf lessons.

But even if you prefer land activities, you won't be bored. Golfing, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, immersive farm tours, and mountain biking are just some of the ever-expanding list of activities. 

Guests also should take the chance to try their hand at some traditional Hawaiian activities, of which there are so many throughout the week, like wood carving, lei making, hula, ukulele, and canoe paddling.

"One day every month, we facilitate a Talk Story session in which a local cultural practitioner, artist, or athlete shares their knowledge with guests and community members," Suter added. He also noted that guests can volunteer on the second Saturday of each month to help reforest Kahuku Point, a stretch of beautiful coastline that's part of the resort grounds.

The natural theme continues in the property's reimagined Nalu Spa ( nalu means waves in Hawaiian) and fitness center. The treatment menu, which encompasses facials, skin therapies, and massages, incorporates local ingredients and techniques but also doesn't forgo modern result-driven advancements through partnerships with brands like 111Skin, founded by the plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Yannis Alexandrides, and incorporating non-invasive hydrafacial technology.

The outdoor treatment rooms, especially the seaside Nalu Hale, are ideal for a relaxing massage while listening to the soothing sound of the nearby crashing waves. Even the gym features floor-to-ceiling windows with front-row views of swaying palms and the coastline, making working out while on vacation more enjoyable.

Turtle Bay Resort perfectly balances the fine line between being a relaxing sanctuary and delivering fun, family-friendly amenities . While the resort's pools are excellent, the true advantage of staying in this part of O'ahu is enjoying the quaint beaches, seven within walking distance from the property. 

We spent most of our time at Kuilima Cove, right next to the resort and perfect for snorkeling and swimming. The property's beach club is also here, adding comforts and conveniences to any beach day, including day beds, cabanas, sunloungers, umbrellas, beach gear, and all-day access to drinks and light bites.

The resort doesn't have a kids' club, but there are several activities that kids can enjoy on their own with members of the hotel's activities staff, such as hands-on horsemanship experience at the resort's stables or a surfing class.

Most of the property's cultural programming is also kid-friendly. My son and I took a lei-making class together in the lobby, followed by hula dancing and ukulele lessons.

The resort's sustainability efforts go beyond reducing plastic waste (there are reusable water bottles in each room) or its carbon footprint. The resort fosters a deeper connection with its guests by allowing guests to be active participants in preserving the land and the ocean. It also facilitates the implementation of mālama ʻāina, or caring for the land, an ancient concept at the heart of Hawaiian culture that extends the residents' responsibility to protect the islands to visitors.

"The recurring cultural message we strive to share with everyone here at the resort is that Hawaiian culture is alive and well — it is not a relic of the past, and that many of the land use practices and life perspectives we have embraced for centuries can make the world a better place today," Suter explained. "Being Hawaiian is not necessarily an ethnicity. It is a mindset that is about embracing and nurturing the land and community."

The addition of Kuilima Farm, and opening it to tours three times a week, the placement of informational signs across the property's grounds to educate guests on the historical significance of specific places, the preservation of endemic wildlife, and the beautiful cultural center that presents in a visually compelling way aspects of Hawaiian history and traditions allow guests to leave the island with a better understanding and appreciation of Hawai'i.

Turtle Bay Resort is located on the North Shore of O’ahu, about an hour's drive from the island’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (although, depending on traffic around Honolulu, it might take longer during certain times of the day). Many resort guests rent a car from the airport to explore the island, while some prefer to book an airport transfer (the hotel can arrange that for you) and stay on the property for the duration of their vacation.

Remember that rideshare services like Uber or Lyft are limited in this part of the island. However, a convenient bus stop is located in the resort’s parking lot. You can download the app ( TheBus ) and access schedules and bus stop information on the go.

1.5 billion more passengers flew last year than in 2022. These are the 10 busiest airports in the world.

• New data on the world's busiest airports in 2023 reveals the latest trends in global travel. 
• 8.5 billion passengers traveled by plane last year, almost marking a return to pre-pandemic levels.   
• Airports in Asia and the Middle East became busier, but the US has once again clinched the top spot. 

International travel is almost back to pre-pandemic levels, according to the just-released list of the world's busiest airports in 2023.

8.5 billion passengers traveled globally by plane last year — up from 7 billion passengers in 2022 .

The rise in air travel marks a recovery to 93.8% of levels in 2019 before the world shut down, according to preliminary data published by the Airports Council International (ACI), a trade association that includes 2,600 airports worldwide.

Increasing travel to airports in Asia and the Middle East was one of the key trends to emerge from the data, with Dubai International Airport jumping from the fifth to the second busiest airport in the world.

Airports in India, Japan, and Turkey also made it into the top 10 and were some of the biggest movers in terms of annual gains in passenger numbers.

As the world's largest domestic market for flights , US airports still make up five of the busiest airports in the world, with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport retaining its No. 1 position.

Despite tough global economic conditions, there was "a growing inclination towards travel," Luis Felipe de Oliveira, the ACI's world director general, said in a press release.

"Airports continue to demonstrate their resilience and adaptability amidst the challenges posed by the ever-evolving landscape of global travel," said Oliveira.

Here's a closer look at the top 10 busiest airports in the world.

10. Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, India

Passengers: 72.2 million

2022 ranking: 9th

Delhi's main airport, Indira Gandhi International Airport, saw a 21.4% increase in year-on-year traffic. While it has dropped a place this year, Delhi has grown significantly as a transport hub since 2019, when it sat at number 19 in the rankings.

9. Chicago O’Hare International Airport, USA

Passengers: 73.9 million

2022 ranking: 4th

Travel through Chicago O'Hare jumped by 8.1% throughout 2023. O'Hare is a hub airport for domestic travel, particularly for United and American Airlines flights. It is also a focus city for low-cost rivals Spirit Airlines and Frontier Airlines.

8. Los Angeles International Airport, USA

Passengers: 75.1 million

2022 ranking: 6th

Travel through LAX was up 13.8% in 2023, however, compared to pre-pandemic levels in 2019, passengers at the West Coast airport decreased by 14.8% — the largest decrease of any airport in the top ten rankings. LAX is a hub for a number of carriers, including Alaska Airlines, United, American, and Delta. But domestic travel at the airport shrunk dramatically as airlines cut the number of flights following a series of meltdowns in 2022.

7. Istanbul Airport, Turkey

Passengers: 76 million

2022 ranking: 7th

Passenger numbers at Turkey's Istanbul airport have increased by 18.3%, making it the only transit hub to keep level with its previous ranking in the top 10. Notably, traffic through the airport has jumped by 45.7% since 2019.

6. Denver International Airport, USA

Passengers: 77.8 million

2022 ranking: 3rd

Denver Airport has dropped down several places on the list but still shows strong signs of growth in terms of passengers. In the last year traffic through the Colorado airport was up 12.3%, and it has also grown 12.8% from pre-pandemic levels.

5. Tokyo Haneda International Airport, Japan

Passengers: 78.7 million

2022 ranking: 16th

Japan's Tokyo Haneda Airport saw the largest increase in traffic by far, with passenger numbers surging by 55.1%. Some of that jump can be explained by a lag in tourism as Japan only reopened its borders in late 2022. Despite the jump, Tokyo Haneda is still 7.9% under its 2019 level of traffic. This January the airport made headlines after a fatal collision involving a Japan Airlines plane and a coastguard vehicle killed five people.

4. London Heathrow, UK

Passengers: 79.2 million

2022 ranking: 8th

Travel through the UK's largest airport shot up by 218% in 2022 and has once again made strong gains throughout 2023, jumping by a slightly more modest 28.5%. The airport has credited travel from the Asia-Pacific region as a major factor in its increased passenger numbers. It hopes to supersede its pre-pandemic level of traffic in 2024 and hit a record 81.4 million passengers, the airport said in a report published in December.

3. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, USA

Passengers: 81.8 million

2022 ranking: 2nd

Dallas/Fort Worth airport , known as DFW, is American Airlines' busiest hub and the departure city for many of the airline's international flights. Last year traffic through the airport jumped by 11.4%.

2. Dubai International Airport, UAE

Passengers: 87 million

2022 ranking: 5th

Dubai took the number 2 ranking in the list for the first time, thanks to a significant 31.7% increase in passenger numbers. Dubai's new position reflects the heavy investment that has gone into the aviation industry and boosting tourism in the region.

1. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, USA

Passengers: 104.7 million

2022 ranking: 1st

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport comes in at No. 1 as the busiest airport in the world, a position it has held for more than two decades. In 2023, the Atlanta airport saw an 11.7% increase in passenger numbers.

U.S. issues travel warning for Israel with Iran attack believed to be imminent and fear Gaza war could spread

Tel Aviv  — Israel is bracing for a worst-case scenario that U.S. officials believe could materialize within just hours — the possibility of a direct attack on Israeli soil by Iran in retaliation for a strike almost two weeks ago that killed seven Iranian military officers. Iran has vowed to take revenge for Israel killing its commanders, who were hit by an April 1 strike on the Iranian embassy in Syria's capital.

Two U.S. officials told CBS News that a major Iranian attack against Israel was expected as soon as Friday, possibly to include more than 100 drones and dozens of missiles aimed at military targets inside the country. Sources have told CBS News the retaliation could include attacks carried out both by Iranian forces, and proxy groups around the region that it has been funneling additional arms to for weeks.  

The officials said it would be challenging for the Israelis to defend against an attack of that magnitude, and while they held out the possibility that the Iranians could opt for a smaller-scale attack to avoid a dramatic escalation, their retaliation was believed to be imminent. 

Asked Friday how imminent he believes an attack is, President Biden responded, "I don't want to get into secure information, but my expectation is sooner than later." The president urged Iran not to move forward, saying his message to Tehran was: "Don't."

Tehran has not indicated publicly how or when it will return fire, so it's unclear how far Iran's leaders will go. If they decide to carry out a direct attack on Israel, there's fear it could blow Israel's ongoing war against Iranian ally Hamas up into a much wider regional conflict.

With the Iranian retaliation expected at any time, the U.S. State Department on Thursday warned Americans in Israel not to travel outside major cities, which are better protected from incoming rocket fire by the country's Iron Dome missile defense system. The latest guidance noted that travel by U.S. government employees in Israel could be further restricted with little notice as things develop in the tinderbox region.

"Whoever harms us, we will harm them," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed Thursday as he visited troops at an Israel Defense Forces airbase. "We are prepared … both defensively and offensively."

On Saturday, all U.S. embassies in the Middle East were put on high alert and required to hold emergency action committee meetings. Diplomats in Lebanon and Israel were specifically told not to travel to certain areas within those countries.

Sima Shine, a security expert and former official with Israel's national intelligence agency Mossad, told CBS News it was a dangerous moment for the region, and the "most worried" she has been. She said anxiety over an all-out war was likely just as high "on both sides, in Israel and in Iran."

If Iran does choose to strike Israel directly, it could involve a complex missile and drone attack similar to the one Iranian forces launched against a Saudi oil facility in 2019 .

"They will try to do it on the military or some military asset," Shine predicted. "But the question will be the damage. If there would be many injured people, killed or injured … I think it has the potential for a huge escalation."

Shine stressed, however, that she still believes neither side actually wants a regional conflict.

U.S. "really trying to avoid war"

The U.S. sent a senior general to Israel this week to coordinate with the close American ally on any response it might make to an Iranian attack. Speaking Friday on "CBS Mornings," America's top military officer said, "we're really trying to avoid war."

"This is part of the dialogue that I have with my counterparts within the region, to include the Israeli chief of defense, who I talked to yesterday," said Joint Chiefs chairman Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Jr., adding that the U.S. military was "doing things not only to prevent a war, but at the same time, one of my primary things is to make sure all the forces in the region are protected."

"My role, as the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, is to plan and prepare," Brown said. "That's one thing we do very well."

Brown's Israeli counterpart, Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, "completed a comprehensive situational assessment on the readiness of the IDF for all scenarios," Israel's military said Friday. 

"The IDF is very strongly prepared, both offensively and defensively, against any threat," Halevi was quoted as saying in the statement. "The IDF continues to monitor closely what is happening in Iran and different arenas, constantly preparing to deal with existing and potential threats in coordination with the United States Armed Forces." 

The IDF said the visiting U.S. general, Central Command chief Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, was taking part in the IDF's situational assessment.

The dilemma for Iran, said Israeli expert Shine, is to figure out how to deliver its promised response to Israel's attack in Syria, but in a way that does not lead to further escalation. Likewise, Shine said Israel could choose to show restraint when it responds to whatever Iran eventually does.

If either side gets the balance wrong, the consequences for the region, and even the world, could be dire.

It's far too easy to accumulate junk in the trunk - literally. The cargo area of every car is there for a reason: to trek suitcases, groceries, and other bulky items to and fro. The problem arises when items linger there because they technically don't need to be removed quite yet (clothing donations, old shoes, tennis rackets long abandoned). 

The first step to organizing a runk is removing anything unnecessary, stocking up on key supplies - an emergency kit , for example - and then getting a trunk organizer. The old-school method was to jury-rig a milk crate or something similar to keep trunk items secure, but today there are many trunk organizers available in a wide array of price points, ranging from basic to detailed.

Joyce Ann Gutierrez, automotive expert at 4WheelOnline.com , has some tips to keep in mind when it's time to transition from the spare laundry basket and upgrade to a good trunk organizer.

"Consider the size of your vehicle's trunk and how much stuff you typically carry," she says. "Choose a trunk organizer with the correct dimensions and enough compartments to accommodate your belongings without taking up too much space." Eating up all the trunk space with an organizer defeats the purpose of it, so consolidate just the essentials and find an organizer that fits. 

Trunk organizers also take quite a beating keeping items wrangled despite constant movement. "Look for a trunk organizer made from sturdy materials that withstand heavy items and constant use. Opt for organizers with reinforced stitching, robust handles, and durable fabric or materials," says Gutierrez. "To prevent items from shifting or spilling while driving, opt for a trunk organizer with specific fastening mechanisms, such as Velcro straps, buckles, or non-slip bottoms that keep it in place."

Being able to store the organizer between uses is also a nice feature, as well as portability and easy maintenance, according to Gutierrez. "Select an organizer that is easy to clean and maintain. Water-resistant materials make cleaning spills or messes hassle-free, ensuring your trunk stays tidy."

This won't pop up when searching online strictly for a trunk organizer, but Nate MacLellan, a professional auto detailer from Plymouth, Michigan, says the CQUARTZ Maintenance Kit is a great hack for keeping vehicles organized and clean. Pay for the cleaning products, and keep the insulated zippered bag as a go-to trunk organizer.

"This is not advertised as a trunk organizer, but it's one I've been using for a long time," he says. "It comes with a variety of Carpro cleaning products, as well as a couple of towels. You can put it right in your car with the provided products, or take them out and put your favorite products inside as well."

One of Gutierrez's favorites is this durable polyester storage container that's only $12 on Amazon. At 25 inches long by 13 inches wide by 13.25 inches deep, its capacity far outperforms its modest price.

"One of the key highlights of this storage chest is its easy-to-fold capability, making it convenient to store away when not in use," she says. "The side mesh pockets provide additional space for keeping smaller items within reach, while the two compartments enable efficient organization of belongings."

Being able to keep items organized in the trunk and ready to be taken on the go at your destination is a great feature for a professional detailer like MacLellan, but also for anybody on an outing like a picnic, barbecue, or BYO party. This organizer has enough capacity to hold sixteen 16-ounce bottles of Adam's cleaning products, which translates into generous space for anything. 

"I personally love the original Adam's trunk organizer and have been using it for years now, and the V2 has only improved on the original design," MacLellan says. The V2 version is made of tough nylon fabric and has an ultra-secure top which is held closed by a zipper and Velcro. The three interior dividers are adjustable, a big plus to keep things from shifting.

True, even foldable trunk organizers can take up more space than you want. Many minivans come standard with mesh net trunk organizers, but they're also inexpensive and easy to find - Gutierrez likes the VaygWay 3-Pocket Cargo Net Trunk Bed Organizer - and they're ideal for many pickup truck beds - just make sure your vehicle has the built-in hooks for the organizer to attach to. Also consider this – with more and more grocery stores either charging for or eliminating bags altogether, an expandable mesh cargo net is an ideal way to transport goods home from the store.

How Do I Know the Trunk Organizer Itself Isn't Going to Slide Around in My Vehicle?

Some trunk organizers come with built-in hooks that can attach to the various cargo hooks most vehicles have, but the more secure solution is also the more common one - Velcro. Look for a trunk organizer with Velcro built into its bottom, and it will cling like crazy to the fuzzy upholstery in the trunk or cargo area. It does make moving or removing the organizer a little bit of a hassle, but it's well worth it to secure cargo.

7-Eleven’s BYO Cup Day Is Back and Guests Can Fill Practically Any Container with Slurpees for Just $2

Fans can fill up (almost) any cup-like vessel with Slurpees for $1.99 at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores on Saturday, April 13

If you’ve ever dreamt of sipping a Slurpee out of a cowboy hat, watering can or popcorn bucket, 7-Eleven has just the deal for you.

On Saturday, April 13, fans can fill up (almost) any cup-like container with Slurpees for $1.99 at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores.

There are very few rules when it comes to Bring Your Own Cup Day . All containers must fit in an in-store display with a 10-inch-diameter, which ensures that the “cup” can go under the Slurpee dispenser. There is a limit to just one quirky vessel per customer, but the regular cups are still available for people who didn’t get their fill.

Otherwise, the convenience store just suggests making sure the container is clean and watertight.

There are classic flavors to try including cherry, Coca-Cola, blue raspberry and peach. Plus, 7-Eleven has two limited-time flavors to sip on: Vitamin Water XXX Zero Sugar and Mtn Dew Pitch Black.

While the weather heats up, other chains are rolling out frozen treats. Carvel just reintroduced the orange dreamy creamy flavor   — one of their most beloved flavors from the 1970s — in several iterations.

As of April 1, Orange Dreamy Creamy soft serve, Scooped, shake, Flying Saucer, ice cream pop and Sundae Dasher are all available in celebration of the ice cream chain's 90th anniversary.
