You have a right to cancel up to 14 days from the date you receive the policy document at the start of your insurance provided that you have not travelled (or in the case of Single Trip policies cover has not already commenced) and no claims have been made, or intend to be made. How to make a claim

If you have not travelled yet, or have returned from your trip and need to make a claim, you must contact the relevant Claims Service below. You can contact them by phone or email, using the relevant contact details below.

You can also access Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) relevant to your claim and the process in general. The Claims Service is available between 9am and 5pm GMT Monday to Friday (excluding Public holidays) .

You must follow the correct Claims Instructions for the Insurance you have purchased. It could delay your Claims if you don’t.

Please note, Claims related to a Positive Covid-19 test result can only be considered when certified by an independent authority. Examples of this are: a private Covid testing provider’s official certificate, or the medical report of a Doctor’s administered Covid-19 test result. The written confirmation must include the name of the person for whom the test relates to, the date of the test and the test result. The insurer will not accept photographs of a Lateral Flow test taken at home unless it has been independently verified.

Avoid like the plague

As others state, fine until you make a claim and then they don’t want to know. Had to wait 30 minutes on the phone to speak with someone who was beyond hopeless. I paid a fortune for my insurance as didn’t want to take any risks but of course the wriggle out of any claim. Fortunately it was a small claim I was making but I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

Globelink uses the services of the claims handler appointed by the insurer of your policy, however, we are disappointed to hear you feel this fell below the high levels we expect from their claims team, we take your feedback seriously, could you please email us back the details based on your comments on submitting a claim to - [email protected] for us to ensure it is passed back to the Underwriters and claim handlers for their immediate attention.

AVOID. They employ Rightpath

I initially found dealing with Globelink a pleasant experience and had several policies with them. Unfortunately when you wish to make a genuine claim you get passed onto a company called Rightpath. Rightpath are basically employed to harass, frustrate and upset you and do anything they can to get you to abandon your claim. They tell you that you failed for various reasons and when you point out their error they try to find another reason for turning down your perfectly honest and reasonable claim. So due to Globelink employing Rightpath, I would certainly not recommend this company and would suggest you avoid.

They operate within strict, FCA codes of service practice and are only able to pay claims that are covered by the terms of the policy. Evidence is required to substantiate all claims. We do however, appreciate its disappointing when a claim isn’t covered. Globelink have recently changed Insurer and Claims Handler, so we hope to welcome you back again as a customer soon.

Terrible Company

A terrible company who are only interested in taking your money. I have had to go through an Ombudsman to get my money back from them. I definitely would not recommend them and would take this opportunity to warn any potential customers that the service they offer is very poor. The company are only interested in getting your money with a poor after service.

I can't download the policy certificate- "Server Error" each time. Two days later - I have now succeeded.

About as bad as it can be!

Well, “Globelink” answered the phone quickly and were very responsive. Unfortunately, Globelink is only the front end, which only exists to sell policies. The web site will tell you that since 2020, all claims handling has been outsourced to Collinson Group. However, that's not true. It changed again 6 months ago to Healthlink, but they haven´t updated their web site. Contacting Collinson is just another delay in the process of making a claim. Now, if Globelink deign to answer this review, they're going to make some vacuos comment "like send us your details and we'll investigate." So, to review the claims process, check web site, contact Collinson and provide all details, then contact Healthline and provide all details, then write a review on Trustpilot and wait for a new email from Globelink that you can send all details to again. I don't know what happens next - maybe I'm still sleeping on an airport couch somewhere waiting for my insurance company to get me home!

We are sorry to see your feedback on Collinson Claims who were employed by the Insurers to handle claims for policies purchased prior to October 2022, since October 2022 the Insurers have updated the Claims Handler for EU residents to Healthwatch.gr. but your particular claims handler contact details, depending on when you purchased your policy, can be found on your certificate of insurance, the policy wording and via the Make A Claim page on the website. They operate within strict FCA codes of service practice and are only able to pay claims that are covered by the terms of the policy. We do appreciate it’s disappointing when a claim hasn’t been assessed so again we ask if you could supply some details of the potential claim to us at Globelink we can pass this back to the Insurers to have these details reviewed as soon as possible for you.

Nothing went wrong but an insurance company should be judged on claims handling, not ease of accepting premia IMO. I´ll award 5 stars if I ever make a claim which is well handled.

Holiday insurance claim ignored for months

Since I made a claim for a cancelled holiday back in April (it is now July 20) I have heard nothing from the company apart from a standard email from their unmonitored email box. This is very poor customer service.

A pity that they weren't so efficient since the beginning

UPDATE: Long story Short: my claim was initially Managed by the UK assistance. After 4 months they were still asking for the same documents I already sent twice, then they completely stopped responding. In January I filed a complain and after that the Italian branch took over the claim, which was closed and refunded in 10 Days. The way the Italian branch dealt with the complain would deserve a clear 5, but it cannot completely cancel the initial inefficiency. OLD REVIEW: In late August, I had to curtail the trip because of the death of my father. I immediately sent all the receipts and detailed all the costs that I had. They asked them again a few weeks after , and I sent them. I've been asked for them again in December (sent again). Every time it takes 3 weeks (at least) to get an answer from them. It just seems that they are trying not to pay.

Cheap for a reason

The third party claims team sucks. The policy sucks. They won't cover cancelled flights or the new purchased flights. Their forms take forever to fill out and they ask for so much information (more than any other insurance company has). They take forever to get back to you and overall just been a waste of money. Cheap for a reason. Won't make that mistake again

REPLY IS A COVER UP FOR THEIR FIRM

With reference to the reply about their company.I advised that HWA falsified documents. As for one review who advised Mrs ?? at Globelink was helpful. This is the person who slammed the phone down on me.Advised that the medical form was incorrect with Collinsons name on. That it was the TEC dept had made a mistake. Twice she advised that IT WAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GLOBELINK. The Person who helped was Melissa at Collinsons Collinsons advised that HWA were totally in the wrong how they had treated us. HWA advised that the letter from the Doctor dated 29 September was not an emergency appointment. It was the date of the letter, HWA twice wrote that my husband had chronic diabetes with leg ulcers. which he had not. In fact the doctor in the letters advised that he had had the last three weeks 3 times weekly clinic appointments and that he should carry on for a further 3 weeks. That is what I meant by falsifying documents. Also the woman Elena kept advising I had not sent the recovery form. I in turn advised I had not recieved it, After weeks of this. She replied she had forgotten to send it? Also everything was downloaded and photocopied and sent by courier to Greece. I had a signature to say it had been delivered. They kept advising it had not. Eventually they advised they had received it. The CEO answered a few emails only and wished me all the best with the claim. I also asked him why had it gone to Greece, and why was it taking so long? Never received a reply. Their response to my first review is purely a cover up from Globelink for their lack of help. HWA for their dishonesty. But Collinsons were very helpful and after 4 months advised HWA to return our money which they did, not correctly at first- I take the remark by Alex that it was slander is totally incorrect. Why then did he repeatedly advise he hoped I was succesful with my claim. THis is from the CEO of Globelink. So I would ask why are they not able to help as the Mrs??? repeatedly told me. If they want dispute my review they can contact me as I have kept all their emails. GLOBELINK, THE MRS. THE CEO ALEX, HWA ELENA, THE TWO FALSIFIED LETTERS. EMAILS FROM ELENA WHICH WE CONSIDER THREATENING. All are kept, Including the lovely helpful ones from Melissa at Collinsons.
