2. Who Owns the Newmar Corporation Company?

In 2019, Winnebago bought out the Newmar corporation for a couple hundred million dollars.

Before that, Newmar was founded in 1968 by two men named Marvin, who quit their RV sales jobs to open their own corporation.

They began manufacturing Class A RVs in the 1980s, and by the 90s, the Dutch Star and Moutain Aire Models were born!

In 2012 they decided to leave the fifth-wheel industry and instead focus on their motor coaches in the Class A category.

Now, they are owned beneath the Winnebago Industries umbrella. 

3. What Types and Sizes of RVs Do Newmar Corporation Produce?

The Newmar Corp. models fall under four categories:

Each model type has its own features and facilities.

Most of them fall under the Class A luxury category, though their Super C models are Class C, and they no longer make fifth wheels.

They mostly specialize in luxury motorhomes with large floorplans and lots of natural light.

Sizes can run as small as 35′ in length to as large as 44′ in length.

Newmar King Aire 4533:

One of their luxury models, the Newmar King Aire, is a classic, million-dollar RV that comes with absolutely everything. You might as well live here.

The Newmar King Aire 5433 is approximately 44′ 11″ in exterior length and comes with many luxury features that fit the name “King.”

With leather interiors, a huge bathroom, king bed, chaise lounge, and pull-out sofa, this RV has everything for everyone!

You even have a full kitchen within that is nicer than most apartment kitchens, complete with a full-size fridge and a dishwasher!

Newmar Dutch Star Diesel Motor Coach:

Floor plans for the Newmar Dutch Star start at $400,000 and range between 37′ 11″ and 43′ 09″ exterior length.

Luxurious living in this RV is easy to do when you have a full bathroom, king or queen bed, pull-out sofas for family and friends, as well as a full kitchen to keep you stocked and provided for throughout your whole journey.

Leather exteriors and wooden cabinet finishes align the interior and make you feel like you live in a luxury hotel on wheels.

According to their website, the Canyon Star 3927 “is the only Class A front-engine diesel toy hauler on the market today.”

The Canyon Star Toy Hauler is 39′ 11″ in length and features a great garage for any extra small vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles, or other “toys” that you want to take with you!

It also has plenty of sleeping space and a great cab with natural light.

5. What Are the Smallest RVs from Newmar Corporation?

Newmar Bay Star Sport 2702:

The smallest RV from Newmar Corp. seems to be the Bay Star Sport floor plan 2702!

This RV is 27′ 11″ in length and is supposedly the smallest in their fleet.

No less luxurious, the Bay Star Sport includes leather interiors, wood-finished kitchens, and a full bathroom setup. It also has a tri-fold sofa for extra sleeping space.

This RV feels bigger when you see how large and bright its windows are, which gives you a great view of the rolling countryside as you travel.

6. What Are the Biggest RVs from Newmar Corporation?

The King Aire collections that we mentioned above are the largest RVs from the Newmar brand.

King Aire models are 44′ 11″ in length and the height of Newmar Corp. Luxury.

You probably won’t find a bigger one, and in fact, the Newmar King Aire is considered one of the largest and most luxurious Class A motorhomes on the market today anywhere!

It costs roughly over one million dollars to own, but it is well worth the price for some adventurous souls!

7. How Are Newmar Corporation RVs Made?

Newmar Rv’s are made with care and attention to detail in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.

On their site, Newmar explains that all of their diesel and luxury models are welded to their “Star Foundation” chassis, a Newmar-engineered structure that is meant to hold the incredibly large weight of their RVs.

Their tiling and cabinetry are all custom and handmade to provide quality and keep out moisture, as well as floors that extend to every slideout when in use.

Furthermore, Newmar’s “Masterpiece™” paint finish is meant to be incredibly durable and long-lasting, making those price tags for their RVs as worth it as possible.

Their slideouts are made with power slideout technology that creates a smooth transition once you’ve parked and are ready to make camp.

Finally, according to Newmar’s site, every model is checked and tested more than 1,000 times, and they claim that they do not stop for any shortcuts or quick fixes.

8. What Are The Most Popular RVs by Newmar Corporation?

According to Newmar Corp, their Class A Dutch Star model is the most popular or best-selling RV lineup.

It is categorized as an ultra-luxurious model with features for everyone and everything.

It comes with optional heated floors, a convection microwave, leather interiors, an optional dishwasher, several huge windows with panes for natural light, and a huge bed and extra sleeping space for guests.

This is one of the company’s original luxury models in the 90s and carries with it a great brand, good reviews, and popular demand.

9. Has Newmar Corporation had Any Recalls Over the Years?

Like most major RV corporations, Newmar has had its share of recalls.

The Newmar King Aire 2017 model manufactured in 2016 was recalled after release for issues pertaining to exterior lighting and the electrical system in December of 2017.

The 2017 Newmar Dutch Star and 2017 Newmar Ventana were both recalled for steering issues in the December of 2017.

More recently, 2020 saw a few recalls for the 2019 model Newmar Dutch Star for the engine, exterior lighting, and other visibility and structure issues with that particular RV.

10. Are Newmar Corporation RVs For All Four Seasons?

It is important to note that most RVs fall under the category of not being specified as a “four-season” option. Instead, they are basically homes on wheels and can be heated or cooled down accordingly.

This means that Newmar doesn’t list any of their models as a particularly four-season style RV; however, they have mentioned in their blog that there are ways to store and winterize their RVs.

While this lack of distinction doesn’t bode well for RV owners who want to live in their RV year-round, but each model does come with temperature control – both heating and cooling – and some even have fireplaces.

Therefore you absolutely could drive your Newmar RV in the winter and camp year-round, but make sure that you have a model with great temperature control.

There are also ways to insulate your RVs by covering up windows and protecting yourself from air leaks and cold slipping in.

However, if you are looking for an RV or campervan that is technically listed as a “four-season,” then you might want to look into other brands.

Summer camping season is approaching fast, and when Newmar  announced its 2023 product line last month, RV enthusiasts everywhere tuned in. Newmar is known for quality and luxury across the industry. What’s new in 2023 Newmar RVs?

Newmar has cleaned up their product line for 2023. Customers across the country offered feedback on cockpit displays, headlights, and layouts, and Newmar listened. The 2023 Newmar lineup has a variety of floorplan options across models.

Several brand-wide changes have been announced in the Newmar 2023 lineup, including new exterior designs, bonded panoramic windows, push-button storage, and more. 

Here are three models that are hitting the Transwest lots, that you need to see.

The 2023 Essex is creating all the buzz. The interior is unique for Newmar, with contemporary flooring and all-new kitchen cabinet and interior furniture designs. This model boasts a newly redesigned dash and new front and end caps. The elegant luxury of the Newmar Essex spans all five floorplans, two of which are unique to Newmar’s 2023 product launch.

The new floorplans for the 2023 Newmar Essex include the 2023 Newmar Essex 4521 and the 2023 Newmar Essex 4595.

Hitting the road doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice comfort and luxury. The Essex works to deliver all of the creature comforts that you enjoy from home, helping you feel your best, no matter where the road takes you. 

The Newmar Dutch Star currently ranks as America's No.1 selling class A coach, and in 2023, this model is getting an aesthetic overhaul. This diesel coach has an all-new look, inside and out. The new dash has a nine-inch display, new headlights, exterior graphics, flooring, and more. 

Newmar is offering the 2023 Newmar Dutch Star in three new floorplans, including the 2023 Dutch Star 4071, 2023 Dutch Star 4325, and 2023 Dutch Star 4370.

All of the new floorplans have new storage door seals, so you will never find yourself slamming the door shut again. Another notable feature, the 2023 Newmar Dutch Star is equipped with an all-electric lithium package. This addition has two 320 amp-hour battery packs and a surge guard switch.

The Newmar Bay Star offers three new floorplans in the 2023 Bay Star, the gas coach in Newmar’s 2023 product launch. This year, Newmar unveiled the three new floorplans and eight floorplans carried over from previous years.

The new floorplans include the 2023 Bay Star 3020, 2023 Bay Star 3225, and 2023 Bay Star 3629.

Y ou will be stunned by the new stylish exterior design, the flooring, modern displays, and slideout fascia. If you feel like there is more headroom, you're right! The interior ceiling is 84 inches high, compared to 80 inches as seen in previous models. 

The radio has a ten-inch display that is CarPlay ready, and the cockpit area is redesigned for comfort and ease of travel. Many customers are excited about the Silver Stream high beam headlight bulbs added to the Bay Star this year which has been a long-time consumer request.

#1 – The 2021 Newmar King Aire

The 2021 Newmar King Aire starts at $1,321,680 and comes in three different floorplans. This model is considered the crown jewel of the Newmar luxury lineup, and it certainly has a price tag to match!

Top Features

Each King Aire floorplan is 45 feet in length and has three slide outs to maximize floor space. In addition, the furniture is made from Italian full-grain leather, and each floorplan comes with optional accent-lit theatre seating with heat and massage. 

This model features top-tier residential appliances such as a stainless steel refrigerator, a dishwasher, and an induction cooktop. 

2021 Model Highlights

Each 2021 King Aire has brand new luxury features such as a new marble backsplash in the kitchen area, an optional Power Comfort Lounge sofa, and a farmhouse sink. 

#2 – Newmar RV Dutch Star 2021

Starting at $404,971, the Dutch Star is certainly one of the best-selling diesel coaches in the Newmar lineup. This is their top-level diesel coach that isn’t part of the luxury lineup. Moreover, the Dutch Star comes in 13 available floorplans from 37’ to 43’ in length. 

Top features include a variety of floor plans to fit every lifestyle. The Dutch Star has luxury features such as a retractable 50” 4k LED TV, a Bose soundbar, and optional floor tile radiant heat. There’s also a wheelchair-accessible floor plan. This is surely the most versatile model in the entire Newmar lineup!

The 2021 Dutch Star comes with four different exterior full-paint design options. The 2021 model has new protective features such as Comfort Drive steering technology, OnGuard collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. Safety is certainly the top priority with the 2021 model. 

#3 – Best Newmar Super C RV: 2021 Super Star

Newmar doesn’t stop at Class A motorcoaches! The 2021 Super Star is a Super C , and this model starts at $355,612. The Super Star comes in four floor plan choices from 37’ to 40’ long. 

Each Super Star floorplan comes with a full-wall super slide, plush carpeting, and hardwood fascia. In addition, the Super Star comes with a king-sized bed, a kitchen fit for a chef, and the latest and best in tech and entertainment. All the Super Star’s floor plans have a master bedroom and plenty of seating in the living space to accommodate family and friends. On the other hand, each floor plan has unique offerings. For example, the 4051 floor plan has a full bath and a half.

This is the second year for the Super Star model, and it was an immediate favorite when introduced in 2020. The 2021 model is even better, though, with a full air ride cab and an increased wheelbase for improved ride quality. 

#4 – Affordable Luxury: Newmar RV 2021 Bay Star Sport

Starting at $135,702, the Bay Star Sport is the lowest-priced motorcoach in the Newmar lineup. It’s a gas coach with eight different floor plans from 27’ to 33’ long. 

The Bay Star Sport comes in eight different floor plans to suit various lifestyles and has tons of storage inside and outside. This model also has roomy cabinets and an optional pantry for all the kitchen storage you could ever need. In addition, you can choose between a mid or rear bath, a king or queen bed, and a dinette or buffet with this model.

The 2021 Bay Star Sport is now built exclusively on a next-generation Ford F-Series Class A Motorhome chassis. This new platform for 2021 is 20% smaller and 30 pounds lighter than the previous year’s model, but it certainly packs a punch!

#5 – Brand New Model: Front Engine Diesel Canyon Star

The 2021 Canyon Star is a brand new model in the Newmar lineup and is a front-engine diesel motorcoach starting at $238,434. This model is available in eight floor plans, including a toy hauler that is the only Class A front-engine diesel toy hauler on the market today. 

Top features of the Canyon Star include a toy hauler floorplan and a wheelchair-accessible option. In addition, this model is built on a Freightliner chassis with a Cummins diesel engine for all the torque and towing power you could dream of! The Canyon Star has beautiful interior appointments, luxury tile, residential appliances, and so much more. 

This is an all-new model for 2021. The front-engine diesel is great for uphill acceleration and towing. The toy hauler model is a fantastic choice for bringing your toys anywhere you go, with enough room to store them and the power to haul them with ease.

All About Newmar RVs

Marvin Miller and Marvin Newcomer left their jobs at an established RV manufacturer in 1968 to create their own brand of RVs named Newmar . They made it a priority to build motorhomes and towable RVs that customers were asking for.

Newmar grew throughout the 70s and first entered the Class A segment in the 80s. They are known for their innovation and were the first company to offer slideouts on motorhomes three years before their competitors. Founder Mahlon Miller says, “If you don’t stay on the front edge, you don’t last.”

In 2012, Newmar decided that they were no longer competitive in the towable industry and decided to focus only on motorhomes. Their new focus led them to create innovative new technology for motorhomes including Comfort Drive steering system, a self-straightening steering wheel, the STAR foundation, steel superstructure designed to improve chassis strength, and even wheelchair accessible motorhomes.

The Newmar Bay Star comes in 11 different floorplans so customers can find exactly what they are looking for. The exterior has full painted graphics with a clear coat finish and a dura shield protection on the front cap to keep the exterior looking brand new for several years. There are lit exterior storage compartments to make storing and finding you gear a breeze, day or night. The entrance door features an automatic step to easily move in and out of the camper. The roof is a BriteTEK roof with a walkable deck for easy repairs and regular upkeep.

Inside the Bay Star, there is a Flexsteel Ultralux leather sofa and front seats and a Villa Comfort Fit convertible booth dinette. The kitchen has a recessed three-burner range with an oven and a solid surface cover for extra prep space when needed. The kitchen also offers an over-the-range stainless-steel microwave and a Norcold 10-cubic-foot refrigerator. This motorhome has a ton of different ways to stay entertained by offering a Samsung LED TV in the living and bedroom areas along with two Sony Blu-ray disc players.

Newmar Canyon Star

The Canyon Star is a luxury Class A motorhome that is up to 36’11” in length and offers nine different floorplans. It comes with Convex exterior mirrors with defrost and remote control. It also has a rear hitch for towing a car and an assist handle at the entrance door to easily get in and out of the RV after a long day of exploring. The Canyon Star exterior also features stainless steel exterior trim pieces on the front cap and grill area and the roof is a one-piece molded fiberglass roof. This RV comes with a tilt steering wheel, aluminum wheels and an anti-locking brake system.

The Newmar Canyon Star comes standard with calypso glazed maple mitered designer cabinet doors with a matte finish. The cabinets have concealed hinges on the doors, soft close drawers and the drawers come with full extension guides so you can get the most out of your drawer storage space. There are additional drawers underneath the booth dinette as well. For added entertainment, there are two-bedroom radio speakers, a Bluetooth microphone for Sony dash radio and a satellite dish prep on the roof.

Newmar Dutch Star

The Newmar Dutch Star Class A motorhome was built for a luxury camping experience. It comes with a Bose solo soundbar system, Wingard Rayzar automatic digital TV antenna and TV jack, and a 110-volt receptor in the door side exterior storage compartment. The Dutch Star also features decorative wall art throughout the RV and tile floor in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living areas, adding a luxury feel. In the kitchen, there is a stainless-steel convection microwave with a three-burner recessed gas cooktop as well as a Whirlpool 19.7-cubic-foot brushed aluminum fridge making this kitchen the perfect place to whip up your favorite camping recipes.

The exterior of the Dutch Star features a diamond shield protection on the front cap, mud flaps, chrome exterior baggage door handles and even a keyless entrance door with a touchpad and doorbell. This is the perfect RV for those who love exploring the outdoors but also want to retreat to a luxurious home at the end of every day.

Newmar Kountry Star

Take in the natural beauty of the outdoors in the Newmar Kountry Star Class A motorhome. Everything about the Kountry Star is built for luxury. It comes with smart level hydraulic leveling jacks with a Bluetooth compatible touchpad which makes leveling your RV at campsites quick and simple. It also has a rear ladder to make routine maintenance a breeze with this RV. The Kountry Star is constructed with gel-coated fiberglass exterior sidewalls and front and rear caps, aluminum-frame sidewalls and roof construction as well as 5/8” foam insulation laminated in the sidewalls and ceiling to keep your motorhome cool and those hot days.

Throughout the RV there are frameless double-pane tinted safety glass windows, wall-mounted sensors for heating and air conditioning and a propane gas furnace with ducted heat. The Kountry Star has grouted vinyl tile floor in the kitchen, bathroom and living area as well as carpeting in the bedroom and on the slideout floors. Newmar New Aire

The Newmar New Aire is a 35’10” long Class A motorhome that is constructed with a fiberglass roof and integrated gutter rail and has automatic lock arms on non-hydraulic slide-out rooms. The kitchen comes with Bermuda glazed maple hardwood cabinets with mitered raised panel doors with a matte finish and a three-door stainless steel residential fridge with an icemaker. There is a prep space for a washer/dryer so you can easily clean your clothes from the comfort of your RV. The bedroom has a cathedral ceiling and features a safe in the wardrobe to hold your most valuable possessions.

The New Aire is filled with modern electronics. There is a navigation system, rearview colored monitor system with audio and even an exterior entertainment center. The bedroom includes a Samsung 43” 4K LED TV and a Blu-ray disc player. The New Aire is the perfect motorhome for those who love to travel but always want to have the comforts of home with them.

Newmar Ventana

If you’re looking for a classic luxury motorhome then the Ventana might be the perfect RV for you. It has a designer feature ceiling, quilted bedspread with a matching accent pillow and a plush pillow top mattress. The cab area features Flexsteel Ultrafabric seats to keep you comfortable on those long road trips. There is a backup alarm to make backing in or out of tight spaces easier and safer. There is plenty of light in the Ventana with the LED lights in the ceiling and underneath the overhead cabinets to provide a soft warm glow for those early mornings or late nights.

Outside the RV, there is an exterior shower to rinse off all your dirty gear before packing it away for storage. The Ventana can come up to 43’10 in length and has enough space to have all the storage and space you need.
