Sit back, relax and enjoy our truly eclectic Afternoon Tea Experience. Start the day off with a celebratory glass of fizz, then be guided to your seat where a dainty cake stand awaits. A sumptuous selection of sandwiches, petits fours, cupcakes and warmed, freshly baked scones await. 

As the tour trundles around the streets of Edinburgh, you’ll be able to take in the sights while imbibing lashings of tea and coffee or the wine of your choice, specially chosen for you from our ‘buy on board’ drinks trolley. 

Our tours typically operate at 12 noon and 3.00 p.m, with each tour lasting approximately 90 minutes.

Adult - Afternoon Tea

Ages 10 and older, ages 5-9 years, discover edinburgh with a delicious serving of afternoon tea and fizz.

Edinburgh is a spectacular city, full of picturesque cobbled streets and built upon hills connecting the Old and New Town.  A must see. 

You’re guaranteed a birds eye view of the city’s famous landmarks and pretty terraces from the top deck of our iconic red bus. 

Our friendly team will welcome you aboard and guide you to your table. Slide into your seat and delight upon your Afternoon Tea stand loaded with delicious sweet and savoury treats. 

Enjoy all the classics including home baked scones with fresh whipped cream and jam, sandwiches, mini bread rolls or wraps, mini quiche,  petit fours and mouth watering cakes. All washed down with a glass of fizz and fresh tea or coffee.  

Eat and drink at your pleasure as the vintage red bus takes you on a wonderful journey of discovery through the city.

To keep the original charm of the Routemaster bus the dining tables are fashionably snug, 1960’s style. The table dimensions are: 

26.7 inches x 22.8 inches 

During high season and on busy days you may be required to share a table with other guests.

You can upgrade to your own table with specific seats: Front pair upstairs: £6pp; Guaranteed upstairs: £4pp; Exclusive use of table for four: £10 per unused seat.

Children up to 9 years are welcome. Cost per child is £20. 10 years old and over full adult price.

The Routemaster buses were not built with toilet facilities. There are no toilets on board. The tour will stop for a 15-minute comfort break close to public facilities. A nice opportunity to stretch your legs.
