Teeming with rural villages and vast countryside, Belfast is an explorer’s playground. Cruise to the British Isles and walk through the basalt formations of Giant’s Causeway. Stroll through the Botanic Gardens and observe the park’s Victorian heritage. Or experience true country living in the cottage of a breadmaker, where you can make fresh-baked goods to accompany your afternoon cup of tea.

In a land where fable and fact blend to become folklore, Cork is a beacon of romance among Ireland’s iconic cities. On a British Isles cruise, see the city’s emerald terrains reflected in the lakes of Killarney National Park. Savor an Irish coffee in the 18th-century village of Blarney. Or enjoy a lunch on the hills of Cashel, with the Romanesque architecture of St. Patrick’s Rock as your backdrop.

Experience the best of Irish hospitality on a British Isles cruise to Dublin. Stop by a pub and hear stories of the city from the people who call it home. Tour Trinity College, one of the world’s most famous universities. Or discover the secrets to brewing a stout at the Guinness Storehouse, and sip on a complimentary glass just a few hundred yards from where it’s made.

With centuries of cultural change, Edinburgh is home to a diverse landscape of design. Cruise the British Isles and follow the Royal Mile to the top of Castle Rock, where Edinburgh Castle sits overlooking the city below. Marvel at the expansive collection of artwork in the Royal Yacht Britannia, or shop for souvenirs on Princes Street while admiring the Georgian architecture of New Town.

Once an industrial giant, Glasgow is brimming with treasure. When you cruise the British Isles, wander the halls of Inveraray Castle to see a collection of royal portraits. Watch a kaleidoscopic display in Glasgow Cathedral as the sun pours through the stained-glass windows. Or spend the day admiring armor, weaponry and global gems in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

Orkney is home to some of the oldest Neolithic sites in Europe. On a British Isles cruise, history buffs can hear World War II stories at the Italian Chapel. Or travel along Scapa Flow for an even deeper look into the region’s history of naval travel and trade. For those seeking mysteries, uncover secrets of the Ring of Brodgar, part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In a land that inspires love stories, reconnect with loved ones on a British Isles cruise to France. Dock in Le Havre and enjoy a breakfast crepe at a sidewalk cafe. Or embark on a day-long adventure in one of two directions. Visit Paris, where famous artwork awaits, or head to Normandy and see the D-Day beaches or the tidal island of Mont Saint Michel. From the painted portraits to the real-life scenery, revel in it all with Princess.

Used to build Buckingham Palace and St. Paul’s Cathedral, the stone extracted from Portland’s quarries has changed history. But there’s more to the city than it’s commodities. Cruise the British Isles to investigate the mysteries of Stonehenge, and learn about the grape-to-glass process at Langham Wine Estate. Or see hundreds of baby swans parading through the grounds of the 600-year-old Abbotsbury Swannery.

Why Cruise the British Isles

The British pubs, Parisian artwork and Irish castles invite you to live like royalty.

Storied and splendid

Castles are the emblem of these regions. Between the chandeliers and tapestries, step into luxury when you visit the British Isles. Cruise to Dublin and parade through the 13th-century halls of the city’s fortress. Experience the grandeur of Urquhart Castle, and search for legendary ghosts in Glamis Castle. Or visit Edinburgh Castle, where kings, queens and nobles once lived and medieval secrets continue to linger.

Melodies of memories past

As the birthplace of many music icons, the British Isles invite you to sing, dance and raise a glass to songs played around the globe. Visit Liverpool to walk in the footsteps of a beloved boyband, and head to a local pub to hear the boys at their best. Cruise the British Isles for an evening of Irish song and dance in Dublin, or watch the Edinburgh Military Tattoo assemble bands, bagpipes and drums for a soul-stirring show.

Globally recognized, historically prominent

The British Isles are a mecca of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Cruise from Southampton to Liverpool, and walk along the Royal Albert Dock, the first structure in Britain to be constructed without wood. Shop along Princes Street in Edinburgh’s New Town. Or travel to Brú na Bóinne in Dublin and get up close to Europe’s largest collection of prehistoric megalithic art.

Raise a glass to adventure

In lands famous for their stouts and ales, pubs are the cornerstone of tradition. Cruise the British Isles and step into age-old establishments that are bustling with spirit. In Dublin, get a taste of true pub “craic” — an Irish term that equates to an atmosphere of fun, entertainment and good company. With festive music playing in the background, sip on world-famous beers that originated nearby while sharing a laugh with locals.

Natural Phenomena

Unexplainable yet undeniable

Discern fact versus fiction on a British Isles cruise, where mysteries and mythologies abound. In Portland, learn about the 5,000-year-old stone circle that displays an advanced understanding of arithmetic and astrology. On itineraries that sail to Cork, search the sea for the Bioluminescence beams created by the region’s gleaming plankton. Or hunt for Invergordon’s legendary monster in the waters of Loch Ness.

Museums & Art Galleries

Ancient artifacts and acclaimed artwork

No cruise to the British Isles is complete without a visit to Paris. See “Venus de Milo” and da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” or tour Notre Dame, a work of art in and of itself. Visit the Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin, where interactive galleries invite you to explore. Those departing from London can also stop by the Victoria and Albert Museum which houses over two million artifacts.

British Isles excursions

Our award-winning shore excursions bring you up close to beautiful coasts, monuments and historical wonderlands. On a British Isles cruise, snap photos of Dublin’s iconic sites — like St. Stephen’s Green and Christ Church Cathedral — and taste a world-famous stout at the Guinness Storehouse. Or ride through quaint villages in Belfast on your way to Giant’s Causeway, and revel in the natural structures that surround you.

Local connections

When you cruise the British Isles, meet the diverse personalities that call these lands home. In Dublin, head to a countryside bed and breakfast where a local chef invites you to savor homemade scones and jam. Or set out on a day-long tour in Cork with your loved ones and visit the city’s most iconic sites. Stop by the 18th-century village of Kinsale, and then continue to Blarney Castle, where legends and landmarks await.

More ashore

Enjoy even more history and culture during your British Isles cruise with More Ashore late-night departures and overnight stays. Visit several pubs during an evening tour, and hear stories from locals over a pint of local brew. Savor a traditional Scottish dinner in Edinburgh, and see the Royal Mile illuminated by street lamps and the evening light. Or explore Dublin by night, and indulge in Irish entertainment.

D-Day Anniversary

Reflect on the importance of D-Day, an operation that turned the tide of WWII, as you sail to Britain’s hidden gems. You begin your voyage in Portsmouth, which was the main departure point for military and naval units as they headed towards Sword Beach in 1944. Just like the troops, you will sail towards the Normandy beaches and anchor off them before visiting the pretty fishing town of Honfleur. You will then visit some notable islands, including the Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Anglesey, and the Orkney Isles, as well as Ireland’s Cobh for vibrant Cork.

CRUISE HIGHLIGHTS

Anglesey, UK

Wales’s island of Anglesey is steeped in both ancient history and coastal beauty. It is accessed by the Menai Suspension Bridge, built in 1826 and still used today to connect the mainland to Menai Town. Other highlights include the 18th-century Plas Newydd House and Gardens and the medieval town of Beaumaris which features an enchanting castle and moat.

Cobh for Cork, Ireland

Known as Ireland’s second city, Cork is both a bustling city and a coastal gem. Take a stroll down its colourful streets where traditional Irish music can often be heard, or visit some of the many attractions such as Blarney Castle, Finn Bare’s Cathedral and the English market that sells a variety of local produce.

Normandy beaches, France

The five Normandy beaches, code-named Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword, hold the utmost significance for D-Day. They were the sites of the highly coordinated invasion on 6 June 1944 of almost 133,000 troops from eight allied countries that sought to free France from German occupation in WWII. Anchoring off these sites allows you to reflect on this fateful day exactly 80 years later.

Trusted Customer

Very good ,easy to complete booking

“Good service”

Great service. Just took a while to answ r the phone

“Easy booking”

Didn't want to choose my cabin. Parking prices not available until after booked. Rest ok

elaine spencer

“Bad mistake!!”

My email address was mis spelt by agent although it was spelled out by us so didn't get any information or confirmation. We did get in touch and fortunately put right and information was sent. If we hadn't questioned why we didn't receive conformation. bad mistake!!

“An efficient booking system”

It was almost too easy to book our cruise. Everything was perfect and now we cannot wait to join the cruise

“Very welcome surprise”

Excellent just received complimentary upgrade to a suite unlike other cruise lines who offer upgrades at cost , done same cruise with Fred Olsen last year and was charged £500 to up grade Hopefully this is a sign of things to come on the actual cruise

Francis Gray

“Customer service”

I'm a fan of Ambassador, so regret what follows. When I went to My Cruise Booking to establish what I owed and when, I was confronted with last year's round the UK trip. What's the point in that? Why wasn't the forthcoming booking up there? Totally baffling. I'm told by a friend that she was then informed by a member of staff that she had to watch some Youtube instruction as to how to access the current booking. Why on earth should passengers be expected to navigate this rather than the company? Extremely poor customer service. Same goes for ringing and being told unless you happen to be sailing within the next four weeks Ambassador is unable to answer your call Not enough staff it would appear. Once again, poor customer service. Since the demographic of passengers tends to be on the senior side and perhaps not so swift when it comes to technology, I would urge an otherwise good company urgently to review some of its practices.

Internet booking

Stuart McBride

“Great cruising.”

Good, straightforward to book, this will be my fourth cruise with Ambassador.

EDWARD GLOVER

“Greatest Hits Cruise”

i have sailed with them before and been very satisfied with them and also I listen to Greatest Hits Radio so it will kill twi birds with one stone

“Great service”

Easy and quick

Very simply booking process.

“Book with ease”

I can only comment on the booking process as the cruise is still to happen, but if the online booking system is anything to go by I look forward to an excellent experience.

“Joy in booking”

On Friday I was very disappointed with ambassador, unit today when I read an email from them. I tried to rebook the same cruise around the British islands. I was very surprised that cabins had become available. I booked straight away, I am so looking forward to this 12 nighter. Thanks ambassador team for all your efforts. Paul McIntyre

Paul McIntyre

“Easy, straightforward and clear online, but guest phone service very busy”

This is our first ever cruise. Info was clear and the online booking process straightforward. Everything was there to allow us to arrange travel insurance. The only comment I have is that, having booked car parking at Tilbury, I changed my mind and booked coach transport instead online. This could only be done by paying more money as I could not unbook the parking online and therefore had to email guest services to get the cruise invoice adjusted as I was unable to get through by phone (busy). The flexibility of the online booking system could be improved to accommodate small changes like this

“Hoping for a pleasant tiour.”

Very slow, while waiting for a phone line subjected to the most appalling music I have ever been forced to endure. I wondered if the type of music you offer is consistent with the type of tours you offer! Once through it was not too bad except I was put on hold while the operator disappeared for a few minutes for a while.

Barbara Davis

“Xmas market cruise”

Excellent. This will be the second trip with Ambassador. We loved our first trip so much. Going again

Karen Woodward

“First cruise with Ambassador”

Easy to book online. Kept informed throughout the whole booking process. Had an occasion to talk to customer services who were very friendly and informative.

Pamela Hall

“Not areview”

I am sick of these stupid feedback rubbish, GO AWAY

Seattle sits on the slip of land between Puget Sound and Lake Washington, with the Olympic and Cascade Mountains serving as a dramatic backdrop for this oh-so cosmopolitan city. Soar up the futuristic Space Needle and experience the views atop this stunning landmark created for the 1962 World's Fair.

/sites/default/files/Ports-SIT-MI.jpg

Sitka is a charming island community surrounded with stunning mountain and seaside panoramic views. The vast and rich wildlife boasts sightings of whales, brown bears, deers, sea otters, and various birds flock here. This destination offers superb fishing, and plentiful historical attractions.

/sites/default/files/MI.NB-Juneau-lighthouse.jpg

Juneau has been called “ Alaska's peak experience,” certainly due in part to its unparalleled glacier viewing from such places as Tracy Arm Fjord, the Juneau Icefields and Glacier Bay National Park. Kayak up one of the area's many protected waterways, go flightseeing, tour historic downtown or try your hand at panning for gold. The majestic Mendenhall Glacier lies nearly 12 miles outside Juneau, a treck worthwhile.

/sites/default/files/881x400-dawes-glacier-alaska.jpg

This is why visitors come to Alaska-to see glaciers as magnificent as Dawes-and getting there is half the excitement. From Stephens Passage, your ship will turn into the glacially carved fjord of Endicott Arm, the southern sister fjord to Tracy. However, Endicott is special. It's the fjord less travelled, and at its head, Dawes Glacier. But first, the 31-mile fjord. Sheer granite walls. Plunging waterfalls. Spruce and hemlock trees clinging to the steep sides. It is the definition of pristine. Look for "bergy bits," floating chunks of glacial ice, some looking more like sculptures, some with resting seals on top. Keep an eye open for bears, mountain goats and whales, too. As we approach the glacier, listen for thunderous cracks and have your camera ready. Dawes is an active tidewater glacier that recedes daily causing calving, where huge hunks of ice plunge into the sea. At 600 feet tall and a half-mile wide, this blue-hued, powerful glacier may be the highlight of your Alaska cruise.

/sites/default/files/881x400_Icy_Strait_Point_0.jpg

Venture “where the north wind doesn’t blow.” Known for this famous saying, Icy Strait Point is the ideal landing spot for adventurers seeking a new experience. Breathtaking and exciting, Icy Strait Point truly takes you where the wild things are. It’s one of the few places in the world where wildlife outnumbers the human population. A trip here certainly satisfies your taste for adventure. Take a cruise from Icy Strait Point and enjoy Alaska's awe-inspiring scenery and the many excursion options that Norwegian Cruise Line has to offer.

/sites/default/files/MI.NB-Ketchikan-trees.jpg

Thanks to its abundant rainfall, Ketchikan is surrounded by some of the world's most lush wilderness. Its Tlingit Indian name, Kach Khanna, means "spread wings of the eagle." Chances are you'll see one of these magnificent birds perched atop a Sitka tree during your Alaska cruise to Ketchikan (Ward Cove).

/sites/default/files/MI.NB-Victoria-Canada-garden.jpg

Roam the spacious lawns of stunning Butchart Gardens with its exotic flora, unusual topiary and exquisite fountains. Explore historic Bastion Square, the treasures of Chinatown and the many sights and sounds to be found along the boardwalk of the Inner Harbour.

  • Check your specific sailing for exact departure and arrival times. All times are local to the port.
  • Itineraries are subject to change at any time without notice.
  • View a list of tender ports .
  • Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing on Day 1 of cruise.
  • Disembarkation usually begins 2 hours after docking on final day of cruise.

This is how it's done, Katie! Boulter's boyfriend Alex de Minaur cruises into Wimbledon third round with straight sets win over Jaume Munar... but can only watch on as Britain star loses to Harriet Dart

  • Alex de Minaur advanced to Wimbledon third round
  • He raced to support girlfriend Katie Boulter
  • But British star suffered defeat by Harriet Dart

It was a strong start to the day for tennis' golden couple as Alex de Minaur cruised into the third round of Wimbledon , but girlfriend Katie Boulter could not progress in the women's competition.

The Australian, 25, proved too good for Spanish underdog Jaume Munar on Court Three on Thursday morning, taking the second round match 6-2, 6-2, 7-5 to advance to the next stage of the men's singles tournament.

De Minaur, who has been dating British star Boulter since March 2022, was on course to win his match before his girlfriend took to Court One at 1pm against Harriet Dart.

But he failed to convert three match points and was broken by Munar, meaning he didn't finish until 1.10pm.

'It would've been better if I didn't get broken in the third set,' he said post-match. 'I'll do my best, have a shower, cool down and get over to Court One to support Katie.

'I am very happy to get the win today. It is never easy playing in these conditions and closing the match out, [but] I played some great tennis. I am very happy to be in the third round and very happy the sun is out here in London.'

De Minaur was spotted taking his seat at Court One just 45 minutes after his match ended.

Journalist Stuart Ballard tweeted: 'Alex De Minaur arrives at Court One to watch his girlfriend Katie Boulter just 45 minutes after he won his second-round match

'First chant from the Aussie: ‘Come on Katie!’'

But Boulter lost out in a thrilling contest, with Dart prevailing in the decisive tie-breaker, after first fearing that a four-point deficit was too big a gap to overhaul, reducing her to tears.

Yet she turned it around to win the tie-breaker 10-8 and dump the No 32 seed out of the tournament.

De Minaur enters Wimbledon in good form, having won a warm up competition in the Netherlands last month. He says he has aspirations to go far this year.

'This is always a surface I've enjoyed,' he said. 'It's a fun part of the season for me.

'It's special playing here at Wimbledon so I'll do my best and hope to go deep.'
