What is altitude sickness.

Altitude sickness is normally known as acute mountain sickness. This can happen when people rapidly climb up to an altitude of more than 3000 meters. We ensure minimal risk by adding rest to our trekking itineraries. Most people will feel some effects of altitude, some shortness of breath and possibly light headache, this is normal enough. Acute mountain sickness patients are quite different and usually have a serious headache, sickness, and lose awareness. In almost all possible cases there are sufficient warning signs to take action properly. Descending to a lower altitude is usually enough to prevent any further problems.

Nepal's climate is primarily temperate, with some tropical and alpine regions. From June until August, the monsoon hits, making it too wet and humid for trekking.

The post-monsoon period from September to November is rice-harvesting season and is characterized by lush vegetation, clean air, and excellent mountain views. Days are warm and sunny, although nights become increasingly cool. This is the start of the trekking season, which runs until May.

Winter (December to February) is dry and clear, with temperatures dropping below freezing at high altitudes, although in Kathmandu, it can still sometimes reach a pleasant 77ºF.

Spring (March to May) is warmer and is a particularly beautiful time to visit as the rhododendrons and the orchids are in flower.

Culture and customs

With more than 30 different ethnic groups and a wide range of religions and language dialects, Nepalese society is rich in diversity. With Indian, Tibetan, Chinese, and Mongolian influences, Nepalese food, clothing, customs, and music vary, depending on what area you're traveling in and what ethnicity people belong to or identify with.

Hinduism is the dominant religion, followed by Buddhism. Standing alongside these religions, there are also small populations of people who follow Islam and Christianity. Simultaneously, animist beliefs and belief in spirits are common throughout Nepal, particularly within rural communities.

Like India, the caste system exists in Nepal, as does the custom of arranged marriage. As one of the least urbanized countries in the world, life differs greatly between the rural and city-dwelling populations, with rural people largely living a very simple, traditional life - slow-paced, village-based, in connection to their family and local community. Nepalese people are generally very friendly and welcoming of travelers.

Eating and drinking

With Tibetan, Chinese, and Indian influences, Nepalese food is flavorsome without being too spicy, filling without being rich, and reasonably priced for travelers on a budget.

Things to try in Nepal

These fried or steamed dumplings are usually filled with meat or cheese. Comparable to Tibetan momos, kothey are flavoursome snacks that can usually be bought cheaply from street stalls or markets.

Popular with vegetarians and vegans, this lentil soup is usually served with rice and found almost everywhere in Nepal. A safe yet tasty choice for everyone.

This spiced meat curry will usually consist of chicken, buffalo, or mutton, as beef hardly features on the menu in Nepal for religious reasons.

History and government

Early history.

Nepal has been inhabited by people for more than 2,500 years, with evidence suggesting tribes of mountain-dwelling people moved to the area from China and other Central Asian regions. Due to a lack of archaeological evidence, little is known about the early periods of history in Nepal, with legend and folklore providing the backdrop to this kingdom of mystery. Ruled early on by the Kirati Dynasty, Nepal continued to be ruled by a succession of dynasties until the Malla Dynasty emerged in the 12th century. During this time, the kingdom expanded rapidly and widely before evolving into small communities with local rule. By the 15th century, many temples and palaces had been built in Nepal, some of which are still in existence either as functioning temples or UNESCO World Heritage sites. The kingdom of Nepal was unified by King Shah in 1768 and went on to sign commercial treaties with Britain in 1792 and 1816 after hostilities with the British East India Company.

Recent history

Nepal held its first elections in 1959, but with the king dissolving parliament and banning political parties soon after, Nepal's monarchy retained power. After decades of pro-democracy movements, Nepal was finally declared a democratic republic in 2008, with Nepal's monarchy being removed from power after ruling for more than 240 years. Nepal celebrated its Year of Tourism in 2011, with arrivals increasing year upon year since 2006 due to increased infrastructure, expansion of air travel, and the enduring popularity of the Himalayas and mighty Mount Everest. Phalgun festivals.

Indra Jatra

Mani Rimdu Festival

All foreign nationals (except Indian passport holders) require a visa to enter Nepal. Visas are obtainable from embassies abroad, land borders (including borders with India & Tibet) and on arrival at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan Airport.

Getting a visa at the airport or land borders can sometimes take time due to long queues. There have been instances when travelers are asked to show proof of exit from the country, i.e., flight tickets. You may also need to provide two passport photos and the following fees in US dollars (subject to change, cash only). Other currencies are also accepted, although rates may differ.

Can I use my cell phone while in Nepal?

Cell phone coverage is generally good in urban areas, but can be patchy and less reliable in rural and mountainous areas. Ensure global roaming is activated on your phone before you arrive.

What are the toilets like in Nepal?

Squat toilets are the most common toilets in Nepal. Always carry your own toilet paper and soap or hand sanitizer, as they aren't usually provided.

Can I drink the water in Nepal?

It's not recommended to drink the tap water in Nepal. Filtered water is a better option, try to use a refillable canteen or water bottle rather than buying bottled water. Remember to avoid ice in drinks and peel fruit before eating.

Are credit cards accepted widely in Nepal?

Credit cards are usually accepted by modern hotels, restaurants and medium-large shops in tourist areas. Smaller shops, cafes, market stalls and places in remote areas probably won’t have facilities that support credit cards, so ensure you have enough cash to cover expenses while in rural areas or when visiting smaller vendors and bazaars.

What is ATM access like in Nepal?

ATMs can be found in Nepal's large cities. Smaller towns and isolated areas will have very few, or none at all, so have enough cash to cover purchases, as ATM access may not be available.

Airports are not yet equipped to international accessibility standards and there are few (if any) adapted vehicles available for hire. Only a few high-end hotels have custom built bathrooms i.e. with safety rails or roll in showers. Getting around can be challenging for travelers with disabilities as pedestrians often share the road with vehicles, cities and towns are crowded and streets winding and chaotic. Rickshaws and taxis can be hired easily in Kathmandu, although traffic congestion can be severe. Porters and assistants are readily available for trekking trips. The country is keen to make headway in the accessibility space, with an annual conference on Accessible Tourism being held since 2014 and a shift towards more positive attitudes in the way people with disabilities are perceived in the region. The first “accessible trekking trail” in the country was opened near Pokhara in 2018. Travel companies have arranged custom treks and adventures in Nepal for travelers with disabilities, including on the popular Everest Base Camp route.  

Is Nepal a LGBTQIA+ friendly destination?

Nepal legalized homosexuality in 2007 and implemented protection by law on the basis of sexual orientation the same year. The new constitution of 2015 also contained a number of provisions for the LGBTQIA+ community, including the right to have a preferred gender on ID cards and allowance of some gender-neutral terms. It is expected that future ratifications of the constitution may include the legalization of same-sex marriage. Nepal recognizes a third gender (meti). Nepal Pride is an annual event held in Kathmandu since 2001 and the Nepal Tourism Board is keen to promote the country as an LGBTQI-friendly destination. Despite the openness of the laws, many LGBTQIA+ Nepalis face discrimination and societal pressure for heterosexual marriage, with harassment and violence, particularly for transgender people, not uncommon. For the LGBTQIA+ visitor to Nepal, it’s unlikely you will experience any difficulties or hostility. Holding hands with your partner is socially acceptable, but public intimacy is generally frowned upon as Nepal is still quite conservative in this regard.

Namaste!  Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal ! Upon your arrival at the airport in Nepal, the tour guide and driver will meet you at the exit and then escort you to the hotel in downtown Kathmandu. You can have a good rest in your hotel and get ready to explore Kathmandu Valley  with your guide the next day.

Kathmandu is the largest city in Nepal , located in the Kathmandu Valley, which is surrounded by the majestic Himalayan mountain range. The city boasts a rich cultural and historical heritage, with numerous ancient temples, palaces, and monuments. Its architecture beautifully blends traditional Newari style  with modern designs. Kathmandu is renowned for its vibrant street life and bustling markets, such as the Asan Bazaar  and the Thamel district  (street), offering a wide range of goods and services. The city's rich festival culture, stunning architecture, and friendly people make it a popular destination for travelers from around the world.

Arrival Ideas:

Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport  (KTM) serves as the main gateway to the city, accommodating both domestic and international flights. You can fly directly to Kathmandu  from major cities such as Hong Kong (5.5 hours), Chengdu (2.5 to 3.5 hours), Beijing (3.5 to 4.5 hours), Shanghai (4 to 5 hours), Guangzhou (5 hours 15 minutes), and Lhasa (1.5-2 hours) in China. Other cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore in India, as well as Bangkok (Thailand), Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (South Korea), London (UK), Paris (France), Frankfurt (Germany), Istanbul, New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto also offer flights to Kathmandu. The availability of direct flights to Kathmandu can also vary depending on the season and airline. So, checking with flight booking websites or our travel consultants for the latest information and options is always a good idea.

Today, you will explore  4 World Heritage Sites  in the Kathmandu Valley. Begin by visiting  Kathmandu Durbar Square  (World Heritage), one of three  royal palace squares  in the Kathmandu Valley. You won't miss the  Hanuman Dhoka , an iconic red palace adorned with intricate wooden carvings, which served as the residence of  Malla Kings  for centuries. Most of our guests arm to visit  Kumari Ghar  (House of the Living Goddess) and  Taleju Temple  (closely linked to the tradition of the Kumari). Through the Kumari Chowk, you may have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the  Kumari  (a young girl worshiped as the  living goddess Durga ), who is revered by both Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal. The Kumari is selected from a Buddhist family through traditional tests and is believed to be the incarnation of the  Goddess Taleju  (Durga) until she reaches menstruation age.  Dashain Festival  (October; a 15-day festival) and  Tihar Festival  (November; Festival of Lights) offer the best chances of seeing the Kumari in public processions. The  Bhairav Statue  is also one of the best spots to experience Hindu culture, where you can witness local people worshipping the fearsome  god Bhairav , the protector of the city.

Then, you will visit the  Pashupatinath Temple  (World Heritage) - a stunning pagoda-style Hindu temple dedicated to  Lord Shiva.  As the oldest Hindu temple in Nepal, dating back to around 400 B.C., the main temple complex located at the  Bagmati River  is only open to Hindus. However, non-Hindus can observe the temple from the terraces on the east side of the river. Pashupatinath is often regarded as the  Nepal equivalent of Varanasi  in India. Originating in the Himalayan Mountains, the Bagmati River is believed to possess purifying qualities for the soul and holds immense sacred significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Along the banks, there are platforms dedicated to  cremation rites . For generations, families have brought the bodies of their loved ones who have passed away to the river, washing their feet and sprinkling drops of water on their faces. It is believed that the river  washes away a person's sins  and facilitates their journey to heaven. The bodies are then cremated along the riverbanks, and the ashes are scattered into the water. This is the most profound scene at Pashupatinath, evoking endless contemplation on life and death. From across the river, you will notice numerous hermit caves  to the north of the cremation platforms. For centuries, hermits and ascetics have been meditating in these caves, and this practice continues to this day.

Next, move on to  Swayambhunath Temple  (Stupa), also known as the  Monkey Temple  due to the swarms of monkeys that inhabit the area. Located on a hilltop on the western edge of Kathmandu,  Swayambhunath Stupa  (World Heritage) is visible from a distance. You can climb the steep stairs to reach the top of the hill, where you can enjoy  panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley  and even  the Himalayas  on clear days. As a must-visit destination in Kathmandu, the stupa is believed to have been built over 2,500 years ago, making it one of the oldest Buddhist sites in the world. The base of the stupa is surrounded by colorful  prayer flags  fluttering in the wind, carrying prayers and blessings to the heavens. It is a sacred pilgrimage site for both  Hindus and Buddhists , signifying the coexistence of diverse beliefs in Nepal while showcasing  Newari artistic heritage . Take your time to indulge in the temple's serene and spiritual ambiance, basking in its captivating architecture and embracing its natural beauty.

Lastly, you will head to  Bodhnath  which is a focal point for Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal and home to Boudhanath Stupa (one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world). You can join the Tibetan pilgrims, and walk around the  Boudhanath Stupa  (World Heritage) clockwise, turning the prayer wheels under the protective gaze of  Buddha's eyes . This is a way to show respect for the Buddha and to accumulate merit. The Boudhanath Stupa is 36 meters tall and  108  meters in diameter, designed as a mandala  to represent the Buddhist cosmos. The structure is dominated by a massive dome, at the top of which sits a square tower adorned with the omnipresent  eyes of Buddha , gazing serenely in the four cardinal directions. These eyes symbolize the omniscience of Buddha, offering protection and wisdom to all who seek refuge. Surrounding the stupa, prayer flags flutter in the wind, carrying mantras and prayers for peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom far and wide. In the evening, thousands of butter lamps illuminate the plaza surrounding the stupa. Equally fascinating are the surrounding streets, lined with Tibetan monasteries and shops selling religious art, Tibetan handicrafts, and traditional Nepali items.

Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

After having breakfast, it's time to leave Kathmandu and head towards Pokhara , which is about 201 kilometers away from the capital. The drive usually takes around 5-7 hours. ( Transfer Option: To save time and avoid a long drive, you can take a direct flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, which lasts for about 20-30 minutes.)

Pokhara,  located in the northwest of Kathmandu, is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. Nestled in a picturesque valley, it offers panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range, including the magnificent peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Pokhara is a hub for adventure enthusiasts, providing numerous opportunities for trekking in the nearby Annapurna region. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced trekker, there are a variety of trekking routes to choose from. Additionally, Pokhara offers thrilling activities such as paragliding, zip-lining, and white-water rafting, allowing you to experience the awe-inspiring landscapes in an adventurous way.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will check into your hotel and take a short rest. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a boating experience on Phewa Lake , which typically lasts for about 1-2 hours. Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal, is a magnificent freshwater lake surrounded by verdant hills and the awe-inspiring Annapurna mountain range. The tranquil waters of the lake beautifully reflect the majestic peaks, creating a picturesque setting that is perfect for boating. As you paddle or sail across the calm waters, you can immerse yourself in the serenity of the surroundings, providing a chance to relax, unwind, and appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you.

While navigating the lake, keep an eye out for various colorful bird species, including kingfishers, cormorants, egrets, and herons. These beautiful creatures gracefully soar and dive around the lake, adding to the enchanting ambiance. At the center of Phewa Lake, you'll find a small island that is home to the Tal Barahi Temple , dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. This temple is a popular pilgrimage site, and from your boat, you can admire its pagoda-style architecture and gain a unique perspective of this religious landmark. As the sun begins to set , the atmosphere becomes even more charming, offering a beautiful and memorable moment to cherish.

Later, we will transfer you to the old part of Pokhara , where you can immerse yourself in the authentic local life of the city. Take a leisurely stroll through the bustling streets, lined with a variety of shops showcasing the rich influences of Buddhism and Hinduism. You'll also come across traditional Newari houses, adding to the cultural charm of the area. Along your walk, you'll encounter the sacred Bhimsen Temple and the revered Shree Bindhyabasini Temple, offering you a glimpse into the spiritual heritage of Pokhara.

After breakfast, you will explore the International Mountain Museum . Here, you can expand your knowledge about Nepal's majestic mountain peaks and discover the tools utilized by the pioneering Himalayan mountaineers. Additionally, the museum offers engaging exhibitions and presentations that delve into the rich history, vibrant culture, geographical features, and diverse flora and fauna of the Himalayan region.

Later, you will visit Devi's Fall , also known as Patale Chhango. It's not only the cascading water that attracts visitors, but also the unique underground tunnel it carves, providing an adventurous glimpse into the "underworld." The waterfall originates from the Mardi River and plunges down a 167-foot (51-meter) cliff, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. The water continues to carve a tunnel that stretches approximately 500 feet (150 meters) in length and descends 100 feet (30 meters) underground. This offers a captivating opportunity to capture stunning photos of the waterfall, the surrounding landscape, and the vibrant flora. Next to Devi's Fall is Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave , where there is a giant stalagmite considered to be the symbol of Lord Shiva.

Next, you will enjoy a trip to the White Peace Pagoda , also known as Shanti Stupa, a magnificent Buddhist monument situated atop Ananda Hill in Pokhara, Nepal. Constructed in 1999 by Japanese monk Morioka Sonin, this pagoda stands as a symbol of global peace and unity. On the second tier of the pagoda, you will find four statues of the Buddha, graciously gifted by different countries. Each statue represents significant events in the life of the Buddha. Start your day with an early morning drive to Sarangkot . After a 15-minute walk up the stairs, you will reach a fantastic viewpoint to witness the breathtaking sunrise . On clear days, you'll be able to see the awe-inspiring peaks of Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters), Machapuchhre (6,997 meters), Annapurna I (8,091 meters), Annapurna II (7,937 meters), Annapurna III (7,219 meters), and Manaslu (8,163 meters), along with a panoramic view of the Pokhara Valley. As the sun emerges from behind the mountains, the sky transforms into a mesmerizing blend of pink and orange hues, casting a golden glow upon the peaks. You'll have plenty of time to capture stunning photos and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. After the sunrise experience, drive back to your hotel, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast.

After breakfast, take a scenic drive to Chitwan , which is about 170 kilometers away from Pokhara. The drive usually takes around 5-6 hours. ( Transfer Option: To save time and avoid a long drive, you can take a direct flight from Pokhara to Chitwan, which lasts for about 30 minutes.)

Take a full day inside Chitwan National Park, immerse yourself in nature, enjoy the jungle activities for a memorable experience. As the largest wild animal park in Nepal and one of the biggest forest parks of Asia, the  Royal Chitwan National Park  is the best place to enjoy bird watching, jungle walking, jeep safari, and canoeing.

During your adventure in the park, you may spot the superstar of the park - the endangered greater  one-horned rhinoceros . You can  explore the jungle in an open jeep  (jeep safari). This is more exciting because you will have more chances to see more wild animals than riding an elephant. In Nepal's Chitwan National Park, the most commonly encountered animals are spotted deer, crocodiles, peacocks, and various bird species. The next in line are the Asian one-horned rhinoceros, turtles, and monkeys. The most elusive animals to encounter are Bengal tigers, bears, and leopards. The journey takes about 4-5 hours, and if you can, go in the morning when the animals are more active.

Canoeing  (1hour; Optional ) along the Rapti River is a very popular way. Sitting on the boat with local guide to watch waterfowls, crocodiles, deer and even the Gangetic dolphin, is quite relaxing and memorable. Stay overnight in Chitwan.

Jungle Activities Time Table for Reference:

1. 6:30 AM: Jeep Safari in the jungle: (Duration:4-5 Hours)

Proceed for the Jeep Safari crossing the Rapti River by Patela Boat to start with from Bhimle army check post. There are two choices of routes available, which our naturalists pick upon their experience on current sightings and animal movement.

Route 1: Bhimle post - Sukhibhar post towards Kasara (park headquarter)

Route 2: Bhimle post - Reu River- Surung Khola

Route 3: Bhimle Post - Reu River- towards Khoria Muhan Post

2. 3:00 PM: Walking Safari: (Duration:2-3 Hours)

A walk inside the National park accompanied by an experienced naturalist and nature guide to explore the wildlife, flora & fauna and birding.

( Please note  that the activities will be subject to change based on the weather situation and the time.)

1.Sunset:  If the weather is good, you must go to the riverside to watch the sunset! Enjoy the priceless sunset on the "East Rapti River" with the locals.

2. Dress code:  Long sleeves, long pants, sneakers, and a sun hat. First, it's for sun protection, and second, to avoid scratches while trekking through the jungle. Avoid wearing bright-colored clothes to prevent disturbing the wildlife. There can be a significant temperature difference between morning and evening, so remember to stay warm and bring insect repellent.

3. Equipment:  Bring a camera with a telephoto lens and binoculars (useful for capturing and observing distant animals).

4. Elephant rides:  Riding an elephant can be quite bumpy, and it doesn't allow you to venture as deep into the wilderness or see as many animals as a jeep safari.

5. Jeep Safari  is prohibited during monsoon season by the park authorities from Jun. -Sept. and in some season it can prolong till Oct. Although  jungle exploration  in Chitwan is well-established, exercise caution and be careful once you enter the forest. Avoid speaking loudly and follow the instructions of your guide to prevent any trouble.

6. Chitwan has a tropical monsoon climate , with the rainy season occurring from June to September. While you can visit during other seasons, the best time to travel is from October to March.

7. Bird watching:  Nepal is home to 9% of the world's bird species, and Chitwan is one of the best birdwatching destinations in Nepal. You can allocate an additional day (at your own expense) to hire a bird watchingguide and enjoy observing and photographing birds.

8. Boat trips  are also subject to water levels and local conditions on the Rapti River.

After breakfast, it's time to leave Chitwan and head back to Kathmandu , which is about 182 kilometers away. The drive usually takes around 6-7 hours.

If time and energy permit, you can make a stop at Patan Durbar Square  (a World Heritage site) which is located 5km away from Kathmandu. Located in Patan (Lalitpur) , this square is renowned for its ancient architectural masterpieces, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, pagodas, stone, and wood carvings. Like Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square served as the Royal Palace of the Malla Kings  before Prithivi Narayan Shah conquered the Three Malla Kingdoms  of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur in 1769 and consolidated them to found the modern state of Nepal. He also established the capital of Nepal in Kathmandu. Patan is believed to have been established around 2,300 years ago and is the oldest of the three cities that make up the Kathmandu valley. It is a dazzling display of Newari architecture  such as Krishna Mandir  (21 golden spires and exquisite stonework), Golden Gate  (ornate golden doorway), Sundari Chowk  (enchanting courtyard).

After the tour, drive to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Altitude: 2700 meters | Distance: 137 km, about 7 hours’ drive

In the morning, you'll be accompanied by a local guide and driver as they pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu. From there, you'll head towards Syabrubesi, situated near the border on the Nepalese side. As you travel along the winding mountain road, you'll be treated to primitive views of cascading waterfalls, flowing rivers, majestic gorges, and lush forests. You have a chance to view LuangTang National Park .

In this evening, you will stay overnight at a charming local guesthouse in Syabrubesi.

Altitude: 2800 meters | Distance: 40km, about 4-5 hours’ drive

After breakfast, you will be transported to the border for entry into China, where you will be greeted by your local guide and driver on the Chinese side. Upon passing through the Gyirong Border , you will be escorted to Gyirong Town  (about 1 hour’s driving), which sits at an altitude of 2800 meters and serves as a vital entry and exit point for travelers moving between China and Nepal, being located on the border between the two countries.

In this afternoon, you have the opportunity to explore the Paba Monastery , established in 637 AD. According to legend, when Nepalese Princess Bhrikuti married Songtsen Gampo and entered Tibet, she brought along three statues of Shakyamuni Buddha, one of which was the statue of Wadisambhava. This statue was placed in Gyirong Town, and the Paba Monastery was erected to house it. After your visit to the monastery, take some time to explore the surrounding area of Gyirong.

Stay overnight in Gyirong Town.

Travel Note：

The  Friendship Highway  is an 800-kilometre scenic route that connects Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, to the Chinese/Nepalese border at the Sino-Nepal Friendship Bridge between Zhangmu and Kodari. ( Note: Currently, the Zhangmu Port  is primarily used for freight, while Gyirong Port is used for tourism.)

Altitude: 5200 meters | Distance: 480 km, about 10-11 hours’ drive

On this day, you will be transferred from Gyirong Town to Tingri. Along the way, you will pass by the breathtaking Pelkhu-tso Lake , a stunning cobalt blue lake and the largest in Shigatse, with an elevation of 4590 meters. Mount Shishabangma, regarded as a lucky holy mountain, stands nearby, while Pelkhu-tso Lake is the holy lake, shimmering like a diamond and complementing the mountain's beauty. From Pelkhu-tso, you'll be able to take in the awe-inspiring and majestic view of Mount Shishapangma. It is about 120km from Mount Everest and stands at an elevation of 8,027 meters, making it the 14th highest mountain in the world and the only 8,000-meter peak that lies entirely within Tibet.

Then, continue your drive to Mount Everest Base Camp , the highlight of today's trip. On the way, you will enjoy the beautiful and unique scenery of the pass, including incredibly snow-capped mountain ranges, blue skies, floating high clouds, and endless grasslands. You will finally arrive at  Rongbuk Monastery  for the first good view of Mt. Everest. At an altitude of 5,154m, Rongbuk Monastery is the world's highest monastery and a must-visit for spiritual travelers. It is also photo-worthy. It used to be an area of meditation huts, and you can find hermitage meditation caves with a history of over 400 years, dotting the cliff walls all around the monastery and the valley. Along with brilliant Mt. Everest views, at Rongbuk Monastery, you will be touched by the breathtaking scenery, such as large white chortens, piles of mani stones, colorful prayer flags, and devout pilgrims passing by. After visiting EBC, make a stop at Gyawula Pass  (5200m) where you can marvel at Mount Everest and other high peaks in the distance. You'll be amazed by the winding road that seems to go on forever.

In this evening, you will accommodate in Tingri.

Altitude: 4000 meters | Distance: 280 km, about 7 hours’ drive

After breakfast, you will be transferred from Tingri to Shigatse. During the journey, you will visit the 5000m G318 National Highway Milestone in Lhatse. Upon your early afternoon arrival in Shigatse, you will pay a visit to Tashilhunpo Monastery . Founded by His Holiness the 1st  Dalai Lama , Gyalwa Gedun Drup in 1447, Tashilunpo Monastery is the largest monastery in Tsang Area of Tibet. In  Tashilhunpo Monastery , you can visit the traditional seat of successive  Panchen Lama s, Tibet's second-highest incarnation. Pay a visit to the ancient tombs of the fourth and tenth Panchen Lama, as well as the chortens, which hold the bones and remains of the sacred Tibetan lamas. Learn more from your guide about Panchen Lamas and Dalai Lamas while appreciating the brilliant religious painting on Tibetan architecture, listening to the Tibetan Buddhism chanting by local monks, and even participating in the kora like locals. Don’t forget to hike up to the top of the monastery for a stunning bird’s eye view of the monastery itself and  Shigatse City .

Stay overnight in Shigatse.

In this morning, you will be taken from your hotel in Shigatse to Gyantse to first visit Pelkor Chode Monastery  and  Gyantse Kumbum.

Pelkor Monastery (Palcho Monastery) is an important site for Tibetan Buddhism, as it houses different sects including the Gelug, Sakyapa, and Kadampa. Pelkor Monastery, with a history over 600 years, is also renowned for its impressive architecture, which blends Tibetan, Nepalese, and Han Chinese styles. One of the main attractions of Pelkor Monastery is the Kumbum Stupa  (Gyangtse Kumpum), which is a nine-story tower adorned with thousands of images of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. It is said to be the largest such structure in Tibet. Visitors can enjoy their time by witnessing the daily rituals and prayers of the monks, and have a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape from the top of the Kumbum Stupa (100-Thousand-Buddha Pagoda). You can also catch the far view of Gyantse Fortress ( Gyantse Dzong).

In the afternoon, you’ll be driven 280km to Lhasa, and you will pass over the Karo la Pass (5010m) and Kambala Pass (4794m). While driving, you will see the beautiful  Karola Glacier , Yamdrok Lake  and Brahmaputra River and finally reach Lhasa.

Visit one of the most beautiful glaciers in Tibet -  Karola Glacier , the filming location of the movie "Red Valley" (Hong He Gu). As one of Tibet's three major continental glaciers, backed by the southern slope of Naiqin Kangsang Peak (7,191 meters), one of the four highest peaks in Tibet, this white glacier is also the source of the eastern part of the Nianchu River. The Karola Glacier (5,012m) is only 300 meters away from the highway connecting Lhasa to  Gyantse town , and you can view it right from your vehicle. You can also easily walk to the foot of the charming glacier, which has a shape like a frozen waterfall right above the road and you. Besides the fantastic hike to the Karola Glacier, on the opposite side of the road, you can appreciate the beautiful snow-capped mountain of Mt Kalurong.

After that, you'll have a breathtaking view of Yamdrok Lake, a freshwater lake down below, as well as spectacular views of the holy  Mt. Nyenchen Khangsar  in the distance. It is one of the four largest sacred lakes in Tibet, along with Lhamo Latso Lake, Manasarovar Lake, and Namtso Lake.  Yamdrok Lake  offers stunning views of the Tibetan plateau and is said to be able to help Tibetans find the reincarnated soul of the Dalai Lama.

After the tour, drive back to Lhasa and accommodate here.

Altitude: 3650m

Today you will explore Lhasa for its brilliant architectures, culture, and history, then stroll through the famous Barkhor Street with locals and experience the daily kora life of Tibetans.

In the morning, you can walk up to the  Potala Palace  to explore. Not only is it the  landmark of Tibet , but it is also the traditional residence and winter palace of the Dalai Lama (1649-1959). After climbing 365 steps from the gate of the Potala Palace to reach the  Red Palace , you will arrive at the highest palace in the world at an altitude of 3,700m, where you can enjoy an excellent  panoramic view of Lhasa city . As you explore the principal halls, chapels, and shrines of past  Dalai Lamas  in the Red Palace, you will be amazed and moved by its remarkable paintings, gorgeous jeweled works, skilled carving, colorful ornamentation, and the mystery stories behind the treasures. Inside the Potala Palace, you will meet many Tibetan pilgrims who come from afar to pray at this sacred site, making it a lifetime destination for them. You can also ask your guide to provide more stories about  Songtsen Gampo , the 33rd king of Tibet, who first built the Potala Palace in the 7th century for his marriage to  Princess Wencheng  of the Tang Dynasty.

Please note  that the visit order may be adjusted based on the visiting time specified on your Potala Palace ticket. All visitors are required to visit the palace with a tour group and remain inside for one hour. Please be advised that photography is prohibited inside the palace.

After exploring the Potala Palace Museum, move to the 1300-year-old  Jokhang Temple , the spiritual center of Tibet and a world cultural heritage site. It is said that the Jokhang Monastery is built for King Songtsen Gampo 's two brides: Chinese Princess Wencheng and Nepal Princess Bhrikuti. "Jokhang" means "House of Buddha", it houses the statue of the life-size 12-year-old Sakyamuni which is the treasure of the Buddhism world. That is why Buddhist pilgrims take it as the holiest destination. The time seems to stand still when you watch them pray in front of the temple during the day and night.

Afterward, take a walk on busy  Barkhor Street  near the Jokhang Monastery, which was a place for Buddhists to do a kora (pilgrim circuit) in ancient times. Nowadays, it has become a thriving local market where you can drink a pot of yak butter tea, dress in Tibetan clothes for photos, and pick up some local Tibetan, Nepalese, and Indian handicrafts and souvenirs.

Today you will enjoy the culture tour of Lhasa via a visit to two of the "great three" Gelug university monasteries of Tibet, the  Drepung Monastery and  Sera Monastery .

In the morning, drive about 35min (12km) to visit  Drepung Monastery  which was the largest Tibetan monastery (Gelug Sect, Yellow Hat) in Lhasa. It used to be Dalai Lama’s palace before he moved to the Potala Palace in the 17th century. Now it is famous for Drepung Shoton Festival held each August, people come to offer yogurt to the monks who finished the 100 days’ meditation while enjoying the grandest Buddha (thangka) unfolding ceremony. Besides the unique architecture and amazing buildings, you can watch monks debating in Tibetan Buddhism vibrant and active with expansive gestures, clapping, and stamping. After Drepung Temple, you will have about a 2-hour Tibetan culture tour, which includes an introduction, Tibetan incense making, and block printing.

In the afternoon, drive another 40min (14km) to visit  Sera Monastery . Step on one of the most beautiful monastery compounds, and its white stone roads and walkways makes you feel almost Mediterranean. The highlight of Sera Monastery is watch the monks’ debate at around 15:00 - 17:00 (except Sundays). It is an interesting form of debate, you can see one monk, the questioner, standing while the answerer or group of answerers, sitting. The standing monk will ask question and slap his palms and stomp, each action has its special meaning, such as activating wisdom, and are not meant to be aggressive.

After that, be escorted back to your hotel in Lhasa.

It is time to end your 15-day Nepal Tibet overland tour. You will have some free time in Lhasa and explore more on your own till your guide escorts you to the airport/train station for your flight or train to your next destination.

Life enriching first visit to Nepal

Once arrival in Kathmandu Nebula Travels and Tours representative meet and transfer to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel, we will do a briefing about the package. Day 02: Sightseeing in Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Nagarkot.

Sightseeing in Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Nagarkot. After breakfast, our city guide will take you to the monuments and places that come underneath the class of the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu. We will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you can see "Kumari," the Living Goddess, as well as visit with pagoda-style temples. Day 2 Experiencing Kathmandu

After a comfortable night at your hotel, start by exploring  Thamel , a popular tourist spot in Kathmandu. It’s a commercial hub and the centre of the tourist industry in Kathmandu, a kaleidoscope of crowded space, narrow lanes, hotels, travel agents and shops selling artifacts. Thamel, in fact, is one of the most picturesque places in Kathmandu and has been the center of interest right since the Hippie days of early 70’s.

For lunch you can try out local cuisine. There were many restaurants here that serve traditional as well as Continental cuisine. Traditional Daal-Bhaat-Tarkari thali is highly recommended.

After lunch, you can drive to  Kathmandu Durbar Square , also known as  Basantapur  or even walk down from Thamel as it is quite close to it. This way you see more of Thamel and the narrow lanes bustling with shops.  

Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of three Durbars in the Kathmandu Valley and is also known as the Hanuman Dhoka Palace Complex because of the kneeling statue of the Hindu god, Hanuman. It is located in front of the old royal palace of the Nepal Monarchy. The palace itself has beautiful architecture, and houses the King Tribhuwan Museum and the Mahendra Museum.

The Durbar Square is actually made up of two sub-areas. The outer complex has some interesting temples, such as the Kumari Ghar – the home of Nepal’s Living Goddess. It also holds the Kasthamandap, Shiv-Parbati Temple, and the Jagannath Temple. Dont miss the massive statue of Kal Bhairav, representing Lord Shiva in his destructive manifestation, in an open temple.

Day 3- Continue exploring Kathmandu

Today explore a selection of temples including Swayambhunath, Boudhnath Stupa and Pashupatinath – a sacred Hindu temple.

Start with the Buddhist centres in town, and the  Swayambhunath Temple  is normally the first stop. You got to do some early morning workout as you climb 365 steps to visit the Swayambhu Temple, an ancient Buddhist Stupa situated on a hilltop. The architecture is quite breath-taking, and the massive Vajra (thunder bolt scepter) is stunning. The eyes of the Buddha are painted on all four sides of the stupa as if Lord Buddha is keeping a watchful eye on every devotee. The view of Kathmandu city is stunning from the top.

The Great  Boudha Stupa  is next. It is the most sacred Stupa for the Tibetan Buddhists and also a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Stupa reportedly entombs the remains of Kassapa Buddha. The soothing chants of “Om Mane Padme Hum” are mesmerizing. There are about 50 monasteries to house the monks and Tibetan refugees in the complex.

If you are feeling tired and hungry, there are rooftop restaurants here with a panoramic view of the 100-foot dome of the Boudha Stupa and try out the Nepali snacks set, Khaja, a perfect snack item.

In the afternoon or early evening hours, go and visit the almighty god, Lord Shiva’s temple, the  Pashupati Nath Temple  to attend the evening aarti and offer prayers. Pashupati Nath temple is a famous and sacred Hindu temple complex on the banks of the Bagmati River. There’s also a crematorium on the banks of the river. Only Hindus, Buddhists of Indian or Tibetan descent are allowed into the main Pashupatinath Temple.

Day 4 The Durbars

Next morning, it’s time now to explore the other two Durbars, which are near Kathmandu. You can head to  Patan Durbar Square  first, which is situated at the centre of the city of Lalitpur, just 7 kms from Kathmandu. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Patan is one of the oldest Buddhist cities and is also known as Lalitpur (city of fine arts). It is a centre of both Hinduism and Buddhism with 136 bahals or courtyards and 55 major temples. The three main courtyards in the palace are Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk. Krishna temple made of stone, five storied Kumbheshwar temple and the Golden Temple are some of the main highlights of Patan. The figures and carving made out of wood amazes the visitor and leaves one awestruck.

You can now head to the next destination,  Bhaktapur Durbar Square , which is about 20 kms from Kathmandu. Bhaktapur has the best-preserved palace courtyards and is the oldest city centre in Nepal, listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Bhaktapur literally means place of devotees. It was also known as Bhadgaon or by the Newari name Khwopa.

This is the most beautiful, open museum type Durbar, holding exciting and the finest examples of medieval excellence with different palaces, courtyards, royal bath, sculptures, pagodas, Shikhara style temples and Buddhist monastery displaying rich culture and wood, metal and stone artworks.

Do try  JU JU  while in Bhaktapur, or Nepal. Don’t miss tasting this special type of curd, sold in earthen pots. It is a special type of curd called “Ju Ju(king) dhau. Its truly “Divine.”

Day 5 Flight to Pokhara

Take a short flight to Pokhara to enjoy at the second largest city in Nepal. The gateway to the Himalayas, Pokhara is full of lakes with views of the snowcapped peaks.  

Utilise your free day at Pokhara to explore the delightful old town and enjoy spectacular views of acres of farmland, typical Nepalese houses, domesticated animals like buffaloes, cows, goats and chickens, and clear blue skies. Visit the 200-year-old Bhimsen Temple, known for its erotic carvings, and also the ancient Bindhya Basini Temple in the historic old town.  

Day 6 Explore Pokhara

Enjoy the heavenly sight of the entire Annapurna range from your hotel room early in the morning. After breakfast at hotel, today visit the Gupteshwar Mahadev Gupha near Devi’s falls. The water from the falls flows into a 500 feet long tunnel into the subterranean cave where a Shiva Lingam was once discovered and enjoy the artistically painted pathways and the limestone formations inside the cold and damp cave.  

The vibrant city of Pokhara has a lot to offer. You can

In the afternoon, spend time boating on the misty Phewa Lake and visit the Tal Barahi temple in the lake and offer prayers to goddess Barahi. The lake is often blanketed by lavender water hyacinths and has a faint emerald hue due to the surrounding lush-green fields and forests.

Continuing to the southern fringe of the lake, take a trek to the World Peace Pagoda, a beautiful dome shaped Pagoda shining atop a hill and has four images of the Buddha facing the four directions.

Enjoy your evening and experience the night life at Pokhara, a hippie haven of the past.

Day 7, 8, 9, 10 Poon Hill Trek

In the morning, visit Sarangkot to see the sunrise over the Annapurna and Fishtail mountains, and then move to Nayapul, near Pokhara to indulge in a short duration easy trek in the Himalayas. Today, you start trekking to  Ghorepani Poonhill/Annapurna View Trek .

This is a walking adventure in the Himalayan foothills of the Annapurna region. You trek in the lower mountain zones and because of the low elevations, you don’t feel the strain. The panorama of the high mountains on the vista leaves you amazed and the spectacular shining view of the Annapurna range will certainly cast a hypnotic spell. The panoramic views of the mountain peaks in the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range are simply stunning.

The hike to Poon Hill from Pokhara takes 2–3 days to see the beautiful Himalayan Range. The sunrise from Poon Hill is particularly mesmerizing. During the trek you will stay in friendly teahouses. Annapurna South, Barasikha, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchru (also known as Fishtail mountain), the Dhaulagiri mountain range and Tukuche Peak are all on show on this short trek to Poon Hill into this beautiful region.

On the 10 the evening you come back to Pokhara.

Day 11 Bandipur

Travel to the ancient Newari town of Bandipur located between Kathmandu and Pokhara (3 hours drive form Pokhara) to experience a well-preserved town with many fine examples of 18th century architecture, as well as small cafes, shops and temples.

This is a very picturesque sight, and an example of the living and breathing abode of Newari culture in the Gandaki Zone at 1030 metres above the Marsyangdi River. Bandipur is a perfect weekend retreat from Kathmandu or Pokhara. The town has more of a relaxing vibe, with the laid-back ambience of a small European neighbourhood.

Since the opening of air-field at Pokhara, and also the construction of Kathmandu-Pokhara highway, Bandipur lost its place on the tourist map. But if you are interested in ancient culture and amazingly preserved Newari architecture, a visit ot Bandipur, also known as the “Little European Village” of Nepal is a must.

Places to Visit in Bandipur

In spite of not housing many sightseeing attractions, there are some places worth seeing in Bandipur.

Siddha Gufa : is 1.5 hours trek away from the town.

Bindebasini Temple : is an old and ornate shrine at the northeast end of Dumre bazaar, which is the main shopping lane. The shrine is dedicated to goddess Durga.

Tundikhel : is a large, green table-top ground open for the public to enjoy and relax. Tundikhel offers a spectacular view of the Himalayan range behind the houses and buildings.

Silkworm Farm : Visiting the silkworm farm, after a 2.5 km downhill hiking from the Heritage Guest House, is a unique experience.

Padma Library : near Bindebasini Temple is worth a visit because of its impressive 18th-century architecture with carved windows and beams.  

Thani Mai Temple : is a small white temple at the top of Gurungche Hill, dedicated to the mother goddess. Sunrises and sunsets are exceptionally beautifully from here.

Kharga Devi Temple : is a temple for the sword of Mukunda Sen, the 16th-century Palpa King.

You can also spend the time enjoying walks along the many small streets and alleys, shop from local stores, and enjoy the native cuisine.

Wo (Baara)-Newari-Lentil-Pancakes made with ground lentil paste, Kwati (a bean soup), Choila (spiced and grilled water buffalo meat), Sanya khuna (fish soup), and Thwon (rice beer).

Day 12 Chitwan National Park

Travel from Bandipur to Chitwan National Park. On arrival check in to a wildlife lodge and have the evening to relax.

A trip to Chitwan National Park, Nepal for rendezvous with wildlife especially Rhinos can turn out to be a box full of surprises.

• Close encounters with the big animals as you get inside the jungles during the jeep safari.

• And then it can be the walking safari which is available at Chitwan only in the Indian subcontinent.
• And finally it will be a date with the local tribe here, the Tharus. The Tharu people, ‘the people of Forest’ are an ethnic group indigenous to the southern foothills of the Himalayas, the Terai area of Nepal and are recognised as an official nationality by the Government of Nepal.

Day 13 Chitwan National Park

Today you will have a full day exploring the park. Indulge in jungle walks, river safaris and jeep safaris. In the evening enjoy a walk in the Tharu village and then enjoy Folk Dance and music by Tharu artists at the resort.

Day 14 Return to Kathmandu

Day 15 kathmandu airport for return flight.

Transfer to the airport for your return flights home.

Bad weather conditions are the major reason for Lukla flight delay and cancellation. Other reasons can include congested air traffic at the Kathmandu Airport, staffing shortages, and other difficulties cause flight delays/cancellations.

Is there a possibility of flying to Kathmandu from Lukla by plane directly after the trek?

The flight to Kathmandu from Lukla depends on the trekking season. Direct flight may not be possible during peak trekking season (March, April, May, October, and November) due to heavy air traffic in Kathmandu. Therefore, the flight arrives at the Manthali airport, Ramechhap.

What is the Internet availability in the Everest region?

For internet usage, the Everest region has a network “Everest Link” which can be bought for around NPR 600-800(USD 5-7) for 6GB that can be used at one destination, or you can pay NPR 2500(USD 21) for 10GB data that can be used in the regions that have access to Everest link.

The purchase is valid for one device only. Some teahouses will have internet access and offer Wi-Fi hotspots for a charge. These are usually unreliable and not all teahouses will have connections, so it is recommended you purchase Everest Link or a 3G/4G SIM card to use for the duration of your trek.

Is the food in the mountains prepared to international standards in terms of safety?

Indeed, the guesthouses follow international guidelines while setting up the food and serve you clean, protected, and warm meals .

Is it possible to obtain a visa for Nepal upon arrival at the airport?

Yes, you can obtain a Nepal visa upon your arrival at the airport. There are kiosks in the arrival hall that you use to complete the necessary forms.  The cost is USD 30 for a 15-day tourist visa, including numerous entries, or USD 50 and USD 125 for a 30-day or 90-day tourist visa including numerous entries respectively. You should carry cash (USD) with you to pay your visa fees quickly and easily, as digital payments are frequently unavailable.

What kind of physical training is necessary for trek preparation?

For trekking, you must prepare your body to walk over uneven, hilly landscapes while carrying a backpack. Walking at an incline, jogging, cycling, and going for long-distance hikes are all good ways to exercise. You should work out for at least one hour four to five times a week for at least two months before trekking.

What is your cancellation policy?

Notice should be provided 20 days before the trip start date in case of cancellation. The trip can be canceled for justifiable reasons. Once the trip is canceled, a fee of 30% of the trip cost is retained for administrative costs.

However, the trip amount is entirely non-refundable if the cancellation is not made before the 20 days as per our terms and conditions. For submitting a claim to your insurance company after the cancellation, we can assist with documentation such as a receipt of monies paid. Refund will not be provided for unused accommodation in case of trip cancellation caused by personal reasons/sickness/weather.

Kathmandu arrival, pashupatinath visit..

Your Arrival Time (?) Our office representative will meet and greet you at Kathmandu Airport and transfer you to your hotel.

At. 04:30 PM: In the evening, you will visit Pashupatinath Temple for the evening aarti. You will witness the priest performing the aarti, taking oil lamps and moving them in circular motions, and devotees creating blissful surroundings. If you are arriving late, then you will visit Pashupatinath on the fourth day to see the aarti. 

Pashupatinath Temple is the largest and holiest shrine for Hindus, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple, situated on the bank of the Bagmati River, was built in the 5th century. It is represented by a four faced shiva-lingam housed in the main temple. There are around 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva), and 12 Jyotirlingas (phallic shrines) to explore. Although only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed on the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river. A centre for Hindu pilgrimage, this temple hosts different major festivals such as Maha Shivaratri and pujas such as Rudra Abhishek and evening Aarti. Additionally, no entrance fee is charged for Indian nationals to enter the temple

Fly to Pokhara, Pokhara Sightseeing.

At. 09:00 AM: After breakfast, our transportation service will pick you up from the hotel and drop you off at Kathmandu airport for the flight to Pokhara, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Pokhara Airport , our local representative will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel.

At. 11:00 AM: Check in, refresh yourself, and get ready for your sightseeing tour of Pokhara. Today's half day schedule will take you to the most natural and culturally significant landmarks in Pokhara. Your tour begins with a visit to Davis Falls , locally known as Patale Chhango . Witness the powerful force of the fall while soaking yourself in its beauty. Next, you’ll explore the mystical Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave , which is a short walk from Davis Falls. You will see the artistic formation of the cave as the beautiful waterfall cascades down and cuts through the cave. Your tour continues with a visit to the Bindhyabasini Temple , a sacred temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Durga. Witness the religious significance as you see the locals as well as Hindu devotees involved in different rituals. 

As for the last stop today, you’ll be taken to the Taal Barahi Temple , located in the middle of the Phewa Lake. To reach the temple, you will have to take a boat. Here, you can see the different rituals and pujas done by the devotees around the temple. If you’re on time, you can also witness the evening aarti session of the Barahi Temple. After your sightseeing, you will be escorted back to your hotel. In the evening, you can explore the city on your own, relax in the lakeside vibe, and have a delicious dinner accompanied by the night view of the lake. 

Davis Falls , also known as Patale Chhango , is an amazing waterfall in Pokhara Valley that is nearly 500 feet long and runs 100 feet below ground level. According to local old people, on July 31, 1961, a Swiss couple named Davi went swimming, but the woman drowned in a pit. From that day on, the place was known as Davis Falls.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave , one of the longest caves in Nepal, is nearly 3 km long. There are some walls dripping water inside the cave, and about 40 metres in, you can see the statue of Lord Shiva. At the end of the cave, you will be mesmerised by the Davis Falls cutting through the cave. 

Bindhyabasini Temple is situated on a hilltop, 3000m above sea level. This religious place for Hindus living in the Pokhara region is devoted to the goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Durga. Goddess Durga, also known as Kali Mata, is the symbol of a bloodthirsty goddess. Many people come here to worship and sacrifice animals.

Phewa Lake is the second-largest lake in Nepal. It covers an area of about 4.43 sq km with an average depth of about 8.6 metres and a maximum water depth of 19 metres. The reflection of Mount Annapurna can be seen on Phewa Lake. Another attraction of this lake is Taal Barahi Temple , a pagoda-style temple on an island in the middle of Phewa Lake.

Sarangkot Sunrise, Pokhara Sightseeing.

At. 05:00 AM: Early in the morning, you will drive to Sarangkot viewpoint for a mesmerising sunrise view over the towering mountain peaks. The rays of sunrise painted over the sky while the mountain ranges stand golden will leave your jaw dropping. Enjoy the serene view of the mountain rains, as well as the most breathtaking sunrise over Pokhara City. Take some shots of the gorgeous Himalayas and sunrise, then return to your hotel for breakfast.

At. 10:00 AM: After breakfast, you will visit two religious sites, such as the World Peace Pagoda and the Pumdikot Shiva Statue . Your tour begins with a visit to the World Peace Pagoda, which is about 8 km from your hotel. There, you will enjoy the serene atmosphere with the stunning views of the Phewa Lake, the Annapurna Mountain Ranges, and the Pokhara Valley. Next, on the other hill, is the Pumdikot Shiva statue. You can enjoy the scenic Himalayan backdrop while gaining spiritual significance. 

The World Peace Pagoda , also known as Shanti Stupa , is a stunning monument located on Anadu Hill at an elevation of approximately 1100 metres. The white washed monument is a classic example of traditional pagoda style architecture, which serves as a symbol of peace and harmony. The Peace Stupa offers breathtaking panoramic views of Phewa Lake, the Annapurna Range, and Pokhara city.

The Pumdikot Shiva Statue is a colossal monument dedicated to Lord Shiva situated on Pumdikot Hill. It stands tall at 51 feet and is the second tallest statue of Shiva in Nepal. The total area includes 108 Shiva lingas, 108 stairs to reach the statue, and a vantage point to enjoy the surrounding environment, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas and hills around. 

Later, you will have leisure time to experience various optional adventure activities in Pokhara. You can participate in different adventure activities such as paragliding, ultralight flights, and zip flying . After that, you can have a free evening on your own, enjoy the lakeside scenery, and have a delicious dinner there.

Fly to Kathmandu, Kathmandu Sightseeing.

At. 10:00 AM:  Have your breakfast in the morning, and you will fly back to Kathmandu. Once you reach Kathmandu, you will go for your sightseeing tour right away from the airport. Your vehicle for the whole day of sightseeing will arrive at the Kathmandu airport. During your tour today, you will explore some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley.

At 11:00 AM: Firstly, proceed to Chandragiri Hills , which is approximately 17.3 km from the airport to the base station of the hill. You will reach the top of the hill by a 9 minute cable car ride. You will feel the religious significance amidst the serene atmosphere as the hill features a Hindu temple, the Bhaleshwor temple , at the top. It will be around lunch time after your exploration up there. You can also have your lunch at the nearest (1 KM from Bhaleshwor Temple) resort, Chandragiri Hills Resort, while you enjoy the panoramic view. Then, stop by Swayambhunath Stupa , famously known as the Monkey Temple , a religious site with Hindu and Buddhist harmony. You must climb certain steps to reach the top of the hill, where the stupa is located. After that, your next exploration will be at Kathmandu Durbar Square , one of the three Durbar squares, where you will travel through the historical lane. Lastly, today's final one is Boudhanath , one of the largest stupas in the world and the centre of Tibetan Buddhism. As you witness the people circumambulating the stupa, you can feel its significance and serenity. There are various cosy cafes and restaurants around the area of Boudhanath that serve different continental cuisines. You can enjoy the pleasant evening vibe there. 

At 05:00 PM: Once you finish your sightseeing, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can use your evening time for shopping and self exploring around Thamel , a major tourist hub where you can find diverse local shops, restaurants, and cafes. Enjoy a delicious dinner around the area and return to the hotel. 

Chandragiri Hills is a popular hill station located in the Kathmandu valley at an altitude of 2551 metres, offering stunning mountain and valley views. To reach the top, one needs to take a cable car ride for about 9 minutes. The cable car runs over lush green forests, giving an adrenaline rush. Mountains from Annapurna to Everest can be seen from here. At the top is Bhaleshwar Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This site also features cafes, restaurants, local shops, and a kind of playing section. 

Believed to be the oldest Buddhist shrine in Nepal, the history of the Swayambhunath Stupa dates back 2500 years. Also known as a Monkey temple , it is a hilltop pilgrimage site surrounded by smaller temples, stupas, and monasteries. This site shows the perfect harmony of Hindu and Buddhist religions with the combination of Buddhist stupas and Hindu shrines. 

Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world, attracting visitors for its religious and spiritual significance. Around the base of the stupa, you’ll find 108 small niches housing statues of the Dhyani Buddha Amitabha, representing the different stages of enlightenment. It is a sacred place for both Tibetan Buddhists and locals.

Kathmandu Durbar Square , the ancient site that was once the royal palace of the Malla kings, showcases the city’s rich cultural and architectural heritage. It is surrounded by palaces, temples, courtyards, and statues, with the centerpiece, Hanuman Dhoka, displaying Newari architecture and craftsmanship. Besides that, other heritage sites such as Kumari Ghar (Living Goddess), Kasthamandap, Jagannath Temple, and Taleju Temple make the square attractive. It is also the centre for different festivals celebrated throughout the year, such as Indra Jatra , Ghode Jatra , and Dashain .

1st: Get a quote upon your requirements, confirm your itinerary and the hotels with us and let us provide your travel date along with arriving flight details. 

2nd: We will reserve your hotels and update you with an invoice of yours to make the advance payment.

3rd: We require an advance payment of INR 10,000 Per Person to proceed the booking, after receiving your advance payment, we will confirm the reserved hotels and other needful arrangements of yours.

4th: Later we will share with you the hotel booking vouchers, required flight tickets and the revised invoice.

Payment Note: The remaining payment should have been paid on the 1st day of your arrival, we won't be responsible for any service disturbance due to the partial payment from your end.

Important Trip Note: Further, the clients or agent will be responsible for the unavailability of hotels and flights due to the late confirmation and advance booking payment.

We (our office representative) will be at the airport (opposite of the main exit gate) with your printed name. After reaching Kathmandu airport you can connect the available free wifi and text us once you collect your baggage, which will help us to be ready outside.

Indian nationals don't require a visa to visit Nepal.

As a travel document, for an adult above 18, a passport or voter's ID (original) will be sufficient to travel via flight. Similarly, for a child below 18 years, a birth certificate is a valid travel document.

Day 5 : Jaipur - Agra

After finishing the breakfast, drive towards Agra . Enroute you will visit Fatehpur Sikri . Upon the arrival we make you check into the hotel. In the afternoon hours, you will be taken to the beautiful Taj Mahal and Agra Fort . Evening is kept free for you to indulge in shopping that is coupled with leisure activities. Overnight stay at Agra.

Day 6 : Agra - Khajuraho By Train

As finish your breakfast, move towards Railway station / Airport (as per the plan) in order to reach Khajuraho . Upon the arrival you are transferred to the hotel. Check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Khajuraho.

Day 7 : Khajuraho - Varanasi By Flight

After finishing your breakfast, you will be taken to visit Khajuraho Temples . It is listed as World Heritage Site. Later move towards the airport to board a flight to Varanasi . Upon the arrival, you will be transfer to pre-booked hotel. In the evening, you can visit to local bazaars and ghats . Also witness the grand ceremony of Ganga Aarti . Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8 : Varanasi - Kathmandu By Flight

In the early morning, opt for boat ride at the River Ganges . After breakfast you will visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Dashashwamedh Temple and many more. Later you will board a flight to Kathmandu. Upon the arrival, transfer to a pre-booked hotel where you take a comfortable stay. Overnight stay at Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 9 : Kathmandu Sightseeing

After finishing breakfast, you will be taken to visit the city of Bhaktapur to explore famous places such as Pashupatinath Temple and Bodhanath Stupa . In the afternoon, you take leisure time that renders shopping activities. Overnight stay at Kathmandu is planned.

Day 10 : Exploring Kathmandu

Day 11 : Kathmandu - Pokhara

As you finish your breakfast, drive towards Pokhra city . On the route, you can enjoy river rafting at Trisuli River (Optional Activity). Upon the arrival, check into the hotel for a comfortable stay. You will be taken to Phewa Lake to enjoy the boat ride . Overnight stay at Pokhara.

Day 12 : Pokhara Sightseeing

This day is dedicated to witness the gorgeous Pokhara city . Start early in the morning and enjoy the sunrise view at Sarangkot . After breakfast, you will be taken to visit attractions like Mahendra Cave, eti Gorge, Davi’s Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, Bindabasini temple, Pokhara Old palace and others.

Day 13 : Pokhara - Chitwan

As we finish our breakfast, Drive / fly to Chitwan National Park . Upon the arrival, check into the hotel. In the evening you can enjoy cultural performance by tharu people . Overnight stay at Chitwan.

Day 14 : Chitwan National Park

In the morning and evening hours, opt for Jungle Safari at Chitwan to see the wild animals. Also enjoy elephant safari, jungle walks etc. Overnight stay at Pokhara.

Day 15 : Chitwan - Kathmandu (Departure)
