On-Campus Tours Our lively campus provides the perfect backdrop for your educational journey. Come, be inspired, and discover the Gryphon pride that lives in our community. We can’t wait to welcome you to our campus!
Campus tours run Monday through Friday (and some Saturdays) at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm Note: There are some exceptions including long weekends, so please make sure you have a reservation.
Your tour will be led by a current U of G student and will be approximately 2 hours in length as we show you all the highlights of campus.
Tours are general in nature, designed to include stops at notable campus landmarks, a lecture hall, athletic facilities, dining halls, the library, student residences and more!
Tours run in all weather conditions so please dress accordingly.
How to book:
- Review the calendar to the left and select an available date for your campus tour.
- Once you’ve selected a date, please choose one of the available tour times and click the link to open the registration form.
- Complete the registration form. If you require any accessibility accommodations, you will be prompted to email [email protected] .
- Once you click submit, you will see a confirmation page. You will also receive an email confirmation shortly after you’ve submitted the form.
Virtual Tour Experience

You and your family can book a visit during the fall and winter semesters (September to April). Regular tours of the Ontario Veterinary College start in September and run until early April. Tours are Saturdays at 10 a.m. and require registration in advance. No tours or appointments are offered without previous registration.
Tours outside regular availability, like evenings, are possible only if a tour guide is available. Tour groups with more than 12 people require extra notice.

- Name of main contact and names of all tour participants
- E-mail and a mobile telephone number
- Date requested (include one or two backup dates)
- University level/program or high school grade level (if applicable)
- Total number of participants
Rules for the tour
- Photography or video recording is not allowed in the teaching hospital and areas where animal patients are present.
- Wear close-toed shoes.
- Children under the age of 12 are not allowed. You can bring children under 12 to OVC and University of Guelph open houses, like College Royal .
Where to go when you get here
Tours begin in the Lifetime Learning Centre , starting at room 1713.
When you register, we’ll provide you with detailed contact information so you can reach us if you’re running late or you get lost.
If you’re using GPS or a wayfinding app to arrive, use 25 McGilvray Street, Guelph, Ontario, to get you to the correct entrance.
Parking is free on the weekend, but visitors should avoid medical or disability parking unless they have the appropriate permit.
Walking from Go Bus stops at the University Centre
From the University Centre bus loop, walk south toward South Ring Road and turn right. Walk to the intersection where the road meets Gordon Street and cross to the westbound side of the street at the crosswalk.
Walk north on Gordon Street and turn left on McGilvray Street. Turn left at the first laneway and follow the sidewalk to the crescent where you’ll find the entrance to the Lifetime Learning Centre.
Busing with Guelph Transit from downtown Guelph
Take the 99 Mainline Westbound from Guelph Central Station (located next to the train station). Get off the bus on Gordon Street just past College Avenue, which drops you in front of the main OVC building. Walk around the south side of the building, following the outdoor path until you reach the doors of the Lifetime Learning Centre.

General Campus & Residence Tour
Our In-Person Campus & Residence Tours are offered at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Monday to Friday – with exception to holiday and event schedules. Fall Tour Program: September 16 - December 4, 2024 Winter Tour Program: January 13 - April 8, 2025

During this 90-minute general campus tour, visitors will be guided through our beautiful campus. Student tour guides will:
- Showcase a variety of buildings including residence, study spaces, lecture halls and dining options
- Provide information on residence and meal plans
- Share their experience and cover student support services available
- Answer your questions about becoming a future Marauder.
- October 14-18, 2024
- February 17-21, 2025
Program-Specific Tours
Our guided tours cover general information about campus. Program-specific tours are offered by the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering .
How To Register :
- Select a tour date and time from the calendar.
- Click on the title to register.
- Tour registrations are limited to four guests per registration (1 prospective student + 3 visitors).
- We ask guests to limit themselves to one registration. In order to ensure we are servicing as may guests as possible, duplicate registrations may be cancelled.
No dates currently available? Be sure to monitor this page for cancellations or additional slots as new tour dates are added monthly. Our Student Recruitment Office ( located in Togo Salmon Hall 111 ) is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (ET). We invite you to drop by and connect with a Recruitment Officer or student staff to address program, admission or student experience questions.
