A day at the ‘Meadow of Gold’

Post a sumptuous breakfast, and we start our day 2 with a drive towards Sonamarg. On the way to Sonamarg valley, you can enjoy watching the picturesque countryside - the snow-clad mountains, the green forests, the rolling hills, crystal clear streams of water and the vast rice fields. You will drive past the Kangan town which is the local market for the residents, and Marmar which is known for its trout field. We will descend from our vehicles at Gagangir, a favorite tourist spot that is wrapped with snow-capped mountains from all the sides. We take a 3-hour walk or cab/horseback ride in Sonamarg to the Thajiwas glacier, a significant attraction in Sonamarg for its beautiful meadows. On returning, we visit the local market for some snacks and for exploring the way local people spend their life there. We drive back to Srinagar for overnight stay and dinner.

You will begin your day 3 with a morning breakfast followed by checkout formalities at the hotel and head towards Gulmarg - the ‘Meadow of Flowers'. This drive will take you past the growing rice fields and vibrant villages of the Kashmir Valley. We arrive at Tangmarg, a colourful market town and then proceed towards Gulmarg. We can opt for Gondola cable car (at your cost) wherein the 8-minute ropeway will offer you stunning views of the mountain ranges nearby on its way from the Shepherd huntsmen to the lower ridge of the Afarwat peak. Return to the Gulmarg hotel for a night stay.

A drive to Pahalgam

Post morning breakfast, you start your journey towards Pahalgam. The drive will take you through Pampore where you can visit the famous saffron fields. We drive past the Awantipora and the Bijbehara village known as the breadbasket of Kashmir. We switch from the National Highway 1A at Khanabal to proceed towards Pahalgam through the second largest city Anantnag. Pahalgam is mainly known for the fantastic landscape, the beautiful scenery of green forests, clear water streams and pretty mountains. You will have a night stay in Pahalgam.

After having a morning breakfast, you can visit the famous Betaab valley gives heavenly pleasure girdled with mountain ranges and pine and deodar forests. Chandanwari is the starting point for Amarnath yatra and is a popular hiking destination. You can also enjoy a horse ride to Baisaran meadows. A Day at the Gardens and a Night in Houseboat

We begin our day with morning breakfast and then return to Srinagar for local sightseeing. You will proceed towards the world famous Mughal gardens, Cheshma Shahi (Royal Spring) and Shalimar that the Mughals build in the 16th century close to the banks of Lake Dal amidst the Srinagar city and Shankaracharya temple situated on a hillock offering sight to a magnificent portrait of the whole city. Hotels given at Srinagar (Hotel Bruj),Pahalgam (Shabnam resort) and house boat stay are not upto expected maintenance and felt like not worth stay at my package. Coz out of my 6 night stay I got only 1 night stay excellent at Gulmarg (Apple tree resort) all other stays are not satisfied. I suggest people when you get these hotels mentioned please ask for change of hotel. Travel agent after knowing that am solo female travelling still gave me such hotels which are not recommended. Overall I can suggest this app when someone is traveling solo and can't find things around and group of PPL who cannot put much affort on ground work to have the information collected can go with this app but make sure you ask and check everything very clearly before booking. Once you pay the amount don't expect any attention from travel agent or the travel traingle assigned advisor. In my case advisor did not even tried to reach me before booking or after booking... when I called him he told a story saying tried to reach me out but I didn't pick the call but I did not understand why not a massage to me saying the same. But one thing...as I was solo female I had lot of fear of safety.....I am happy that it was safe all around. Anyways thanks to the travel agent (Heena) atleast she arranged good cab and driver.

The reason for 3stars across the fields is because of lack of transparency which led lot of extra expenses from my end. About One World travel: * Muneeb was the travel executive who handled my trip, very professional and resourceful. Recommend One world travel and specifically Muneeb. * Every travel has issues and I had a share of mine. Muneeb promptly took ownership and resolved these, especially with a very rude and hostile driver, who happened to be assigned to me initially (should not have been though it was resolved amicably by replacing the vehicle and driver, though i had to compromise on the quality of the vehicle vs dealing with a hostile driver). * Got some good tips from Muneeb as well, for the trip and reasonable flexibility too. * Overall, good experience with One World travel thanks to Muneeb. Came to Travel triangle a reasonable aggregation portal for multiple travel quotes for the trip you are planning and pick the one that works. However, my experience was, though at least 3-4 tour operators provided quotes, finally except one none provided further support when i wanted to finalize the deal and book. This beats the whole purpose of Travel Triangle as a portal for a customer to compare quotes and pick the one that works best -- not a good experience. Provided this feedback to my TT coordinator, though i had to go with the quote I received from the most responsive of the tour operators - One World Travel due to lack of time.

Day 1 Srinagar

Warm greetings to your Kashmir tour. Arrive Srinagar airport (till 14:00) meet our representative & proceed to your houseboat (Lunch will be provided till 14:30) on arrival check/in. Enjoy Shikara ride at Dal Lake (at our cost) Night halt at Srinagar Houseboat.

Day 2 Srinagar – Pahalgam: (Distance:- 90 kms / Duration:- 03-04 hrs approx)

After breakfast local sightseeing tour covering Shalimar Baug & Nishat Baug. After lunch proceed to Pahalgam, situated at 7,200 feet above sea level on the banks of Lidder River, which is also known as the most scenic hill station of India. Arrive and transfer to Hotel. Evening enjoy the natural beauty. Night halt at Pahalgam.

Day 3 Pahalgam

After breakfast enjoy natural beauty at Chandanwadi (at our cost) the famous shooting point of Kashmir Valley and Betaab Valley. Enjoy horse riding at Baisaran Valley the beautiful place (at your own cost). Evening is free for shopping / rest. Night halt at Pahalgam.

Day 4 Pahalgam - Srinagar: (Distance:- 90 kms / Duration:- 03-04 hrs approx)

After breakfast proceed back to Srinagar. On arrival sightseeing tour covering Shalimar Baug & Nishat Baug. Night halt at Srinagar.

Day 5 Srinagar – Gulmarg - Srinagar: (Distance:- 138 kms / Duration:- 3 hrs approx one way)

After breakfast proceed for day excursion trip to Gulmarg. It is situated at 8825 feet above Sea level. Enjoy Gondola cable car (at your own cost). Enjoy snow at this beautiful snow point. Night halt at Gulmarg.

Day 6 Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar (Distance:- 80 kms / Duration:- 03 hrs approx one way)

After breakfast full day trip to Sonmarg (If road is open OR till vehicle can reach / Subject to Military Permission), which is located at 81 kms from Srinagar at 2740 mtrs. above Sea level. Sonmarg means “meadow of gold” Sonmarg is the home of many beautiful & serene lakes. Enjoy sledge car ride in this beautiful snow point (at your own cost).Evening return back to Srinagar. Night halt at Srinagar.

Day 7 Srinagar Drop

After breakfast proceed to Srinagar airport to board your flight. (Flights to be booked after 13:00) Tour ends with sweet memories conducted by Heena Tour & Travels
