About Carnival Paradise
The popular 70,367-ton, 2,052-guest Carnival Paradise was aptly named because that is what you will find on this Fantasy Class ship. She offers something for all age groups, making her a perfect choice for a fabulous multigenerational cruise vacation.
Greatly enhanced with a multi-million-dollar upgrade in 2015, she now features a variety of new dining, bar and entertainment options. You now can enjoy a Mexican eatery with delicious just-made burritos, tacos and tortillas, a full-service sushi restaurant with Asian-inspired favorites and a poolside venue with a California vibe for melt-in-your-mouth handcrafted burgers and fries.
A variety of bars with diverse themes include one with a Mexican theme serving frozen drinks, as well as beers, another with mixologists preparing unique cocktails and delicious Caribbean rums served at a different choice. Have a sweet at the onboard candy store that was also added to the ship.
The ship’s stunning centerpiece is a seven-deck-high atrium with a nautical décor. Stroll along the promenade and enjoy the many amenities offered, including two pools and whirlpools. Exhilarating turns will thrill you at the 214-foot twister waterslide — the fastest and steepest at sea — where you will also get sprayed. Carnival Paradise boasts 12 chic bars and lounges, a casino, disco, Internet café, library and a game room. Serenity awaits you at a peaceful adults-only retreat. The large spa offers an array of treatments that will make you feel like a million bucks. Take a yoga or Pilates class and work-out at the state-of-the-art fitness center. Shop for duty-free items and have a treat at the coffee bar. Play mini-golf and shoot some hoops at the large sports park. Be as active or inactive as you like — this is paradise after all.
Kids will love the summer camp feel at supervised youth activities that were designed according to age. Tweens and teens also have their own area where they can hang-out with friends, listen to music, dance and eat pizza. A video arcade is another popular place to go.
Take your tastebuds on an exciting culinary journey at a myriad of fabulous eateries offering plenty of dining options . Mouthwatering continental cuisine is served at the two main dining rooms, as well as healthy spa fare and delicious vegetarian dishes. A kids menu offers all their favorites, from spaghetti and meatballs to mac and cheese. A special multi-course dinner is a favorite experience for foodies and also includes a special galley tour.
Casual eateries include a buffet with food from all around the world, a venue for wok specialties, a rotisserie, a 24-hour pizzeria with delicious piping hot pizza, a rotisserie, a cafeteria-style café, coffee bar, a grill, a sushi bar and a New York-style deli. Complimentary room service is also available 24/7.
A range of accommodations include a high percentage of oceanview staterooms and those with private balconies. Some also boast floor-to-ceiling windows, providing incredible views. Feel like you are sleeping on a cloud on Carnival’s exclusive comfortable bed system. Relax and watch first-run movies on the flat-screen TV — You will never want to go home.
Entertainment includes Vegas-like productions at the two-story theater, as well as magicians, comedians, talent shows and more. Take part in a game show, try your luck at the casino, join in a sing-along at the piano bar, and dance the night away at the disco and chill-out at the relaxing jazz club.
Whether a first-time cruiser or just looking for a delightful fun ship, Carnival Paradise is for you.

Even more convenience and comfort come standard, like a huge balcony made for stretching out, a tub that’s great for doing the same, a convenient walk-in dressing area, plus VIP check-in.

Tossing dough is an age-old art passed down the generations. Lucky for you, someone passed us the secret to the perfect pie. While aboard, this is the place that will shiver your timbers and warm you to the bone, 24 hours a day, with a Margherita, Funghi, Prosciutto, Pepperoni or Quatttro Formaggi pizza served with a delicious Caesar salad. Savvy? Then it’s the pirates’ life for you!

Blue Iguana Cantina
Nobody knows Mexican dining like a blue iguana. Well, our blue iguana, at least. That’s why it should come as no surprise that the BlueIguana Cantina features freshly made tacos and burritos stuffed specially for your enjoyment. Throw our homemade tortillas and salsa into the mix, and you have a casual dining experience that will make you say “mmmm” (which is actually Iguanese for “more, please”).
Guy's Joint Burger
We went looking for someone to help us grill up the best burgers at sea, and we found just the guy. Carnival has teamed up with best-selling author, restaurateur and Food Network personality Guy Fieri to bring all the authentic appeal of a roadside burger shack to Guy’s Burger Joint, the cool poolside spot for hot burgers and hand-cut fries. Try a fresh-off-the-grill burger Guy’s way, or take it off-road to our toppings bar and truly make it your own.

Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... plus one cactus, a treasure chest... and wait, is that a windmill in the way? Just who designed this course anyway? Whoever it was, they had one thing in mind — maximum fun for mini-golfers, big and small! That's precisely why you'll find a course on every Carnival ship, where you can hit the holes and take in everything you’d expect, like the sights and the sounds... plus the seagulls.

What does the “C” in Circle “C” stand for? Well, “chill,” “connect” and “cool,” just to name a few. It’s where young teens ages 12 to 14 go to hang out, meet new friends, and enjoy some pretty awesome activities like dance parties, games, outdoor movies and more, in the special Circle “C” area or around the ship. It’s all supervised by friendly and fun-loving counselors who want your young teens to have the best vacation ever.
Your parents deserve a nice vacation… but then again, so do you. So let’s let them go do their thing while you do yours. Where to? Club O2. Hang out and do stuff like watch movies, listen to music from this decade, play sports and video games, join karaoke jam sessions… maybe even have a pool party or two, all with other high schoolers ages of 15 to 17.

Beauty Salon
A trip to the salon is an opportunity to relax, to chat with others, to focus on yourself. It’s about more than just getting your hair or nails done… but it’s definitely about getting your hair or nails done! Even though you’re on vacation, you won’t have to settle for anything less than the salon style you’re used to back on land. And these good looks go beyond the usual — we even offer services like teeth whitening… great for taking those ‘I’m on vacation and I’m looking great!’ smiles to the next level.
Fitness Center
We have some bad news for you — your ship has a gym. In other words, there’s no excuse for leaving your fitness routine back on land. That’s great news, however, for your body, which will definitely benefit from all the extra energy that vacationing pumps directly into you. And let’s not forget the extra time you’ll have, since you won’t be waking up and spending most of the day at the office or anything like that. If those were some of your go-to excuses, we’re sorry, but we all know this is important. Why not treat yourself to some of our fitness classes — you might even have a little fun while you do something great for yourself!
Massage Rooms
Cruising always feels good, but it doesn’t usually — ooh, right there. Right where? Sorry, we’re at the onboard spa, where they do these amazing massages by hand. But they don’t just stop there — they’ve got tools to enhance the benefits too. Select from different hands-on experiences featuring seaweed for detox, herbal poultice for energy, bamboo for deep tissue penetration and hot stones for — ahhh — for perfection. We know you’re all about feeling good, and so are these massages.
Relaxation Room
Relaxation Room.
Spa Carnival
When it comes to complete relaxation from the inside out, nothing beats a trip to the spa. From the minute you step inside, the soothing ambiance begins to work its magic. Renew yourself with premium beauty and wellness therapies, like hot stone massages, aromatherapy or full-body wraps. This is your time to be spoiled, indulged and even beautified. Lie back, close your eyes, and feel the stress sail away as your body and mind experience total tranquility. (Oh yeah, and this feel-good stuff isn’t just for the ladies — dudes, there are plenty of treatments on our menu for you too.)
The little ones can enjoy the best parts of summer camp, year-round aboard their Carnival cruise. At Camp Ocean kids will have a blast in supervised, age-based groups and give each a cool marine-life label: Penguins (2 to 5 years), Stingrays (6 to 8 years) and Sharks (9 to 11 years). Together with their group they’ll enjoy tons of fun-filled, age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, songs, games, toys, dancing, movies and video games.

Blue Iguana Tequila Bar
BlueIguana Tequila Bar is the onboard spot to chill and enjoy a slushy tequila drink or an ice-cold Mexican cerveza. The menu offers up Mexican favorites, including several brands of tequila and a slew of Mexican brews. There’s a lineup of frozen concoctions, cocktails and margaritas served by the glass or by the pitcher, and even a special Mexican beer cocktail (yes, really). Where can you find this little slice of Mexican paradise? Next to the pool, of course. So stay cool and take in the bar’s vacation vibe while you kick back on your cruise – that’s what official bar mascot Blue the Iguana would tell you.

Get to Know Carnival Paradise
We broke the mold after we made this one. The final Fantasy class cruise ship ever created, Carnival Paradise is proof that there's plenty of fun to be found long before you reach your dream destination. This ship remains classic Carnival — fun-packed from bow to stern — but on the other hand, we've never stopped adding fresh new features. So now you can grab something cold, or sweet… or maybe even hot, at JavaBlue ™ Café. Meet the new Cloud 9 Spa ™ , featuring a full menu of, ahhh, spa treatments. We also added a Bonsai Sushi Express ™ , so you can take your fresh sushi, sashimi, rolls and more, to go, someplace fun. By the way, on Carnival Paradise you'll find great times in and near the H2O courtesy of pools, hot tubs and even a Carnival WaterWorks ™ waterpark featuring a huge spiraling slide, plus a pair of racing slides. At Seuss at Sea ™ the characters always make a splash with an interactive storytime and parade, plus this ship features three age-perfect youth programs. Great live entertainment, like The Punchliner Comedy Club ™ , Playlist Productions ™ and piano bar, happens up on stage… bravo! If you're talking tasty classics, you're going to find two of our top casual spots: Guy's Burger Joint ™ , featuring the goods from Guy Fieri, and BlueIguana Cantina ™ , with authentic south-of-the-border taco/burrito goodness. Refreshments — and good times — abound with RedFrog Rum Bar ® and BlueIguana Tequila Bar ™ . And a little closer to home (well, your vacation home), Carnival Paradise features even more balcony staterooms than before. Feel that breeze! Spend a vacation aboard Carnival Paradise, and you'll find a little slice of cruise paradise at sea.

Tampa, FL: The Tampa Bay cruise port, also known as the Port of Tampa, is a major cruise terminal located in the city of Tampa, Florida. It is one of the busiest and most popular cruise ports in the world, serving as a departure point for a variety of Caribbean and other international cruise itineraries.
The Port of Tampa features several modern and well-equipped terminals, offering a range of amenities and services for passengers, including check-in and baggage handling, duty-free shopping, dining options, and transportation to and from the port. In addition to its cruise facilities, the port is also a hub for cargo and trade, with a large container terminal and a variety of other shipping and logistics services.
The city of Tampa itself is a vibrant and diverse destination, offering a range of attractions and activities for visitors. From the historic Ybor City neighborhood and the cultural offerings of the Tampa Museum of Art and the Florida Aquarium to the natural beauty of the nearby beaches and parks, there is something for everyone in and around the Port of Tampa.
Cozumel, Mexico: Cozumel is a Caribbean island in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, located off the northeastern coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is the largest island in the Mexican Caribbean and is a popular destination for tourists, particularly for scuba diving and snorkeling.
The island has a rich history and was once a center of Mayan civilization. Today, it is known for its beautiful beaches, clear turquoise waters, and diverse marine life, including colorful tropical fish and vibrant coral reefs.
In addition to its natural beauty, Cozumel also offers a variety of activities and attractions, including shopping, dining, and nightlife in its bustling main town of San Miguel. Visitors can also take part in outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and kayaking, or explore the island’s cultural heritage at sites like the San Gervasio Mayan Ruins.
The island has a warm, tropical climate year-round, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to the mid-80s Fahrenheit.
Carnival Paradise Accommodations:
For this cruise, I was in Stateroom E19 an Oceanview Stateroom . An oceanview stateroom on the Carnival Paradise is a comfortable and well-appointed accommodation option. Located on the middle or upper decks of the ship, these staterooms offer breathtaking views of the ocean and the surrounding coastline.
The oceanview staterooms feature a large picture window or porthole, providing plenty of natural light and panoramic views of the sea. The staterooms themselves are cozy and inviting, with a comfortable bed, a sitting area, a TV, and a private bathroom with a shower.
In terms of size, the oceanview staterooms on the Carnival Paradise are compact but efficient, offering a comfortable and convenient place to sleep and relax during your cruise. They are also located in convenient areas of the ship, close to popular amenities and attractions, such as pools, dining venues, and entertainment options.
Personal Day-By-Day Carnival Paradise Cruise Review:
Photo tour of the carnival paradise:.
No vacation would be complete without a ton of photos, right? For this particular cruise, I took a bunch of photos of the ship’s interior, pool areas, the stateroom itself, and more. Photos can be found by in the Carnival Paradise Photo Tour as well as in the day-by-day review of the cruise at the links above.

Carnival cruise ship rescues nearly 30 people from adrift vessel
A Carnival Cruise Line ship rescued nearly 30 people who were stuck at sea on Sunday.
The crew on Carnival Paradise saved 28 Cuban nationals who were signaling for help on a vessel that was adrift around 2:30 p.m. The cruise ship was headed from Tampa, Florida, to Roatan in Honduras at the time.
“The bridge team onboard spotted the vessel and turned the ship around to rescue them,” Carnival said in a news release . “All were taken aboard, given food and were seen by the medical team.” The cruise line also notified the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West and officials in Roatan.
The Coast Guard did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment.
The ship was set to visit Roatan on Monday. Carnival Paradise is on a five-day Caribbean cruise that departed from Tampa on Saturday, according to CruiseMapper .
The news comes after Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Apex ship rescued seven people in a small vessel adrift between Cuba and Mexico earlier this month. Another Carnival ship, Carnival Jubilee, also rescued two people stuck in a kayak off the coast of Mexico’s Isla Mujeres in January.
