Following on from the magnificent success of our previous visit, I’m thrilled to say we’re heading back to Portugal from 10th –17th October 2023 and once again returning to the Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort & Spa Hotel just outside Albufeira. This promises to be another fantastic week of music, fun and relaxation in the beautiful sun-drenched Algarve.

We are thrilled to say Mike Denver & his band AND Michael English & his band will be headlining the week as well as being joined by some of Ireland’s top entertainers including Brendan Shine, Gerry Guthrie, Dominic Kirwan, Big Chief - Kevin Kearney, Shawn Cuddy, Jim Devine, The Conquerors, John McNicholl, John Molloy, Ciarán Rosney, Emma Donohue and more!

The Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort & Spa Hotel, which overlooks the ocean, has excellent facilities throughout and miles of sun-drenched, golden sandy beaches for you to stroll along - it’s truly an amazing holiday paradise.

Once again, you have a choice of deluxe rooms in the hotel or one of the deluxe 1- or 2-bedroom villas on the hotel grounds (with your own kitchen). The furthest villa on the grounds is only a 2-minute walk away from our function room. We also offer a buggy service to and from your villa if required. We wish to advise that there is a room supplement charge on single rooms, sea view rooms, resort view suites and sea view suites in the hotel.

Breakfast is included in the package however evening meals are not. If you wish, you can add on the half-board option at check-in on arrival at the hotel. The half-board option costs €80 per person for the week. A glass of wine, a bottle of beer or a soft drink will be provided at each meal.

Alternatively, if you wish to dine out, there is a wonderful selection of restaurants downtown in Albufeira, just 5 minutes from the hotel. We have organised a courtesy bus to take you to and from the town where there are many fine restaurants to choose from. We will of course have you back in time for the music as the courtesy bus operates every 30 minutes.

There will be dance classes with Pat and Patricia throughout the week also to teach the jive, waltz etc.

As usual there will be some great day time music sessions by the pool side and of course, many of our magic music nights are sure to run into early mornings once again in the Jiggy Jiggy Bar.

The Conquerors have been entertaining audiences in Ireland for many years and are a highly sought after band for weddings & corporate events. The Conquerors have made many appearances on The Late Late Show on RTE, TG4 and Sky Spotlight TV as they are the regular go-to band for many top artists.

The Conquerors have performed concerts, festivals and dances throughout Ireland and beyond, they are the resident band for the annual Gertrude Byrne All-Star Irish Charter Cruise which features international acts such as Sir Cliff Richard, Charley Pride and Englebert Humperdinck.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Zodiac Metro
