Get to Know Cambridge

With the Urbs app there’s no typical itinerary – only a schedule that suits you. Here are some of the sights you can uncover:

On the River

As you’d expect from such a beautiful city, the River Cam takes centre stage. Forget public transportation, River Cam Boat Trips are the only way to see the sights in style! Pack a picnic and a rug, and make the most of it. You’ll pass Cambridge’s colleges and the many bridges of the city – look out for the famous 15-metre Mathematical Bridge, it’s a local talking point. River Cam boat hire is very good value, starting from around £35 for 40 minutes – plus you can make a booking on the day.

Cambridge Culture

For a city as rich as Cambridge, you can expect plenty of culture to soak up. Start with the ADC Theatre – the oldest university playhouse in England, where you can see and hear local talent in abundance. For something entirely different, head over to Fitzwilliam Museum – your audio tour of Cambridge will tell you everything you need to know. Here you can pore over antiques from China, Greece, Italy and ancient Egypt. It’s also the number one attraction on Tripadvisor.

Classic Sights

The beauty of a Cambridge audio tour is that you can take in the sights by foot at your own pace, and there’s plenty to see if you’re on a budget friendly sightseeing tour. Kings Parade is a good option for a starting point. Here you can enjoy great views whilst walking, taking in the gothic architecture in all its glory. Beautiful Cambridge centre is easy to navigate by foot with a little gift shop or two awaiting your visit. Then it’s on to the famous Botanic Garden, a stunning 40-acre stretch of land for those that love walking tours.

There are numerous churches scattered throughout the city, but Great St Mary’s Church (or GSM as the locals say) in central Cambridge is worth a visit. Be sure to climb the tower for some of the best views of the city. Memorial Church guided tours are one of the other attractions that bring in the tourists too.

Campus Cambridge

The University of Cambridge is one of the elite establishments for education in England. The campus is steeped in history and prestige with over 21,000 students currently enrolled. Famous former Cambridge students include: Stephen Hawking, Alan Turing and Charles Darwin, making it a fascinating place to explore. Do expect entrance fees for some of these visits. The campus is vast, however some of Cambridge’s colleges that are most famous include: Magdalene College, Trinity College and of course King’s College.

Culinary Treats

Pub culture is one of the great treats to enjoy if you’re a Cambridge local. The Eagle is one you must visit – with an incredible history dating back to 1953. It’s even considered the ‘birthplace to the secrets of life’ since professors discovered DNA here over a drink! Also, seek out Jack’s Gelato for a wonderful experience. The ice-cream store is famous for unusual flavours that most travellers have never tried – such as marmalade ice-cream and white peach sorbet. The perfect opportunity to pause and indulge in a bit of pop culture.

Cambridge Walk

My self-guided walking tour of Cambridge starts in Cambridge Market Square. It’s centrally located, so it’s easy to get to from the train station, coach and bus stops, and on foot from other parts of the city.

Cambridge Market

If you want to, you can spend a bit of time exploring the market or getting something to eat before you begin.

You can also admire Great St Mary’s, the University Church, Cambridge. It sits right next to the market and has a tower with great views of the city. They’re worth seeing if you’re up for a climb.

View of King's College Chapel, Cambridge

When you’re done browsing the market and taking in the views, start your Cambridge walk by going around the church on St Mary’s Street and Senate House Hill.

From there, head south past King’s College Chapel on King’s Parade. As you go, you’ll see lots of shops and restaurants on your left and the beautiful buildings of King’s College on your right.

Continue along the road when the shops end and King’s Parade becomes Trumpington Street. Here you’ll pass The Corpus Clock, Corpus Christi College, and St Catharine’s College.

When you reach Silver Street, turn right and continue your self-guided walking tour of Cambridge past Queens’ College Chapel as you make your way to the River Cam.

When you reach it, you’ll see the famous Mathematical Bridge on your right and a punting station on your left.

Mathematical Bridge, Cambridge

If you want to, you can take a break from the walk to go punting on the river. If not, continue your Cambridge walk by going straight on Silver Street and across the bridge.

When you’ve passed Queens’ College, turn right onto the pathway between Silver Street and Queens’ Road. It will take you around to The Backs.

These grassy areas along the River Cam are great places to soak up the sun and watch the punts go by. Feel free to stop and sit for a while to take it all in.

The Backs and the River Cam on a self-guided walking tour of Cambridge

When you resume your self-guided walking tour of Cambridge, continue along The Backs until you reach The Avenue.

Turn right on The Avenue and walk through the Trinity College greens and across Trinity Bridge, continuing through the lawns until you reach the college buildings.

Turn left when you get to them and admire the Wren Library (you can visit and see the stunning 17th-century interior if it’s open). Then retrace your steps and continue straight along the path until you reach Garret Hostel Lane.

Columns at Trinity College, Cambridge

Turn left on Garret Hostel Lane and walk down the narrow street until you reach Trinity Lane. Turn left on Trinity Lane and follow it as it turns right. This is one of the most beautiful streets in Cambridge, so make sure to have your camera ready.

Trinity Lane on a walk in Cambridge

When you reach Trinity Street, turn left and follow it as it becomes St John’s Street. Along the way you’ll pass shops, cafes, and the beautiful buildings of Trinity College and St John’s College.

When you reach Bridge Street, admire the unique 12th-century Round Church on your right before turning left to walk to the river.

While you go, you’ll pass by restaurants and shops on one side and more buildings from St John’s College on the other. Don’t miss pretty Portugal Place on your right, either.

Cambridge Punting by Magdalene Bridge

When you reach Magdalene Bridge, there are more opportunities for punting. You can stop to get out on a boat, or continue your self-guided walking tour of Cambridge by turning around to retrace your steps along Bridge Street.

Continue past The Round Church and Sidney Sussex College as Bridge Street becomes Sidney Street. Then turn right on Green Street. Here you’ll pass by more of Cambridge’s shops and restaurants as you make your way to Trinity Street.

It is located an hour from London and the Cam River is where this city gets its name, (Cam River Bridge.) A Charming Walking Tour of Cambridge UK (with map)

Cambridge visitors punting on Cam River

Cambridge is a beautiful city to visit, especially since it is so easy to come here from London. The historical Cambridge University with its many colleges and traditions form a unique vibe in this college city. Come along with me on a beautiful walking tour of Cambridge UK.

Ever since we lived in Cambridge for an entire month, the city has become our favorite day trip from London . We found spring time in Cambridge to be absolutely gorgeous with all the flowers and trees blooming. So, come along with me on my favorite walking tour of Cambridge UK .

In this article:

Favorite Places on My Walking Tour of Cambridge UK

Is Cambridge UK walkable? Oh yes, very much so. Actually, walking is the best way to experience Cambridge.

  • Cambridge historical colleges form the main attraction of this college town. Walking down King’s Parade is a beautiful experience.
  • Walking along the backs of the colleges  gives you a completely different view of Cambridge’s old center.
  • Going punting along River Cam  is a unique experience.
  • Cambridge old churches  are scattered all over the city’s center and they are beautiful to visit. One of my favorite quaint English churches is in Cambridge.
  • Strolling through beautiful gardens especially during sunny days during the spring is absolutely stunning.

Walking Tour Map of Cambridge UK

With our map in hand and some comfortable walking shoes let’s start our walking tour of Cambridge UK.

1. The Round Church

The Round Church is the best spot for starting any walking tour of Cambridge UK

The first stop on our walking tour of Cambridge UK is the Round Church, also known as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The Round Church was built by crusaders in the 12th century and is one of the oldest landmarks in Cambridge.

One of only four medieval round churches still in use in England, the Round Church is constructed in the Gothic architectural style. The visitor’s center offers exhibits on the history of the city and the church. It is the perfect place to begin our walking tour because of its iconic appearance and central location in the Cambridge city center.

The Round Church is one of the oldest landmarks in Cambridge

Checkout the Round Church website for planning your visit to this most famous Cambridge attraction. From here, we will walk down St. John’s Street, which becomes the famous King’s Parade – the only route in the city that passes by all Cambridge Historical Colleges.

2. Great St Mary’s Church

Great Saint Mary's Church seen from the market square.

Get ready for a climb! At the North end of King’s Parade, we will come across Great St Mary’s Church.

Look up at the imposing stone tower, which houses the bells that have rung out every day for hundreds of years. For a small fee, you can ascend the staircase within the tower and take in sweeping views of the Historical Colleges. We will visit a couple of these later on our walking tour of Cambridge.

The church has a close relationship with Cambridge University – in fact, it is still required that undergraduate students live within three miles of the church. Inside, enjoy the quiet atmosphere under wooden beamed ceilings and learn about the church’s two impressive organs.

Cambridge, England - Farmers' Market at Market Hill and panorama of Cambridge seen from Great Saint Mary's Church Tower.

You can find all the details for climbing the Great St Mary’s Church tower on their website. When you’re ready, continue down King’s Parade and Trumpington Street, pass Silver Street, and turn right on Mill Lane.

3. Sheep’s Green

Beautiful view of punting boats moored on River Cam.

At the end of Mill Lane you will find yourself on the banks of the River Cam. If you’re in a seafaring mood, you can take a boat tour of the Historical Colleges along the river. You may also hire a punt, kayak, or canoe to explore independently. Then, stroll diagonally through the picturesque Sheep’s Green. You will pass by many small ponds and bridges in this expansive park, and eventually you will arrive on the opposite bank of the river.

Walk north on Queen’s Road, then turn right on Silver Street to find the next stop on our walking tour of Cambridge UK.

4. Mathematical Bridge

The quirky wooden Mathematical Bridge over River Cam is a popular stop on any walking tour of Cambridge UK.

After walking east on Silver Street, you will find Queen’s College on your left. Near Queen’s College, there is a view of a small wooden bridge. Although its real name is Wooden Bridge, it is known in Cambridge history as Mathematical Bridge because of its fascinating engineering and construction.

There is a popular myth that Isaac Newton built this bridge without using any screws, bolts, or nails. In reality, it was designed and constructed by William Etheredge and James Essex in 1749. It is held together with typical fasteners, but it is famous for its elegant rounded arch shape…even though it is built with only straight planks of wood! You can cross the bridge yourself and explore Queen’s College for £3.50.

When you’re ready to continue our walking tour of Cambridge UK, head back to the west bank of the river.

5. Walk The Backs

Beautiful back view of King's College and its Chapel.

A large portion of the remainder of our walking tour of Cambridge UK will take place along The Backs, a scenic tree-lined path that follows the back sides of the Historical Colleges. The Backs is flanked by the colleges’ huge lawns, which have been well-preserved for centuries as a popular green space.

As you walk, listen for the nearby murmuring of the River Cam. Keep to your right, and cross King’s College Bridge when you reach it. Here, you arrive at the magnificent King’s College, a marvel of Gothic English architecture. Notable alumni include mathematician Alan Turing and author Zadie Smith. Wander the grounds if you like, then continue to our next stop.

6. King’s College Chapel

King's College Chapel and The Old Schools seen from Saint Mary's Church Tower.

King’s College was not built in a day – in fact, it was not even built in seventy years. Construction on the chapel began in 1446, and was still incomplete when King Henry VIII was coronated in 1509. The chapel was finally completed in 1531 with the installation of vivid stained glass windows. Construction of the chapel took place during the Wars of the Roses, which is part of the reason it took so long. Inside, look up at the intricate, lacy ceilings. Walk along the bold black and white marble floor to the altar, where you can view The Adoration of the Magi by well-known Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens.

If you’re planning to come to Cambridge, make sure you checkout the official King’s College website for the best information about visiting this beautiful chapel.

When you’ve had your fill of the chapel’s stunning architecture and history, exit King’s College and head towards Clare College, just to the west on the bank of the river. There are two stops left on our walking tour of Cambridge UK.

7. Fellows’ Garden at Clare College

People punting on River Cam next to Clare College.

Just across the river from Clare College is the sprawling green expanse of the Fellows’ Garden. The garden was designed by Nevill Willmer, a professor of History at Cambridge. Willmer’s interest in color theory paid off in the beautiful flora of the garden.

The walkway to Clare College is lined up with blooming tulips in the spring.

It is a particularly special place to visit in the spring, when bright sunlight illuminates hundreds of colorful flowers. A small admission fee allows you to wander the garden at your leisure and engage in scholarly thought – or just enjoy the scenery.

Return to the King’s Backs walking path and head north to the final stop on our walking tour of Cambridge UK.

8. St John’s College

The covered bridge of sighs at St. John's college seen from a boat

The small admission cost to enter the grounds of St John’s college is an excellent value. With entry, you are free to explore the many buildings (called courts) of the college, which are full of attractions. Start with the Bridge of Sighs, a charming bridge that connects Third Court and New Court.

This bridge is modeled after the famous Bridge of Sighs in Venice, and the stone arches and delicate glass windows evoke a romantic Italian atmosphere. Continue our walking tour of Cambridge UK at the College Chapel, where you can view many significant artworks and pieces of history from St John’s. These include statues of notable alumni, such as William Wilberforce, one of a group of influential British slave abolitionists. Other St John’s alumni include Romantic poet William Wordsworth and science fiction author Douglas Adams.

Interior of the beautiful chapel of Saint John's College.

In St John’s college, you will experience some of the most notable historic landmarks in Cambridge. If you are planning to visit, make sure you checkout St John’s visitor information website .

Absolutely! Cambridge has become my favorite day trip from London . With its small historical center and idyllic River Cam location, Cambridge is beautiful to visit especially during spring. Not a bad way to spend the day but there are better more engaging tours available. Read more Written 15 February 2024

It took 6 and a half hours to get to main coach. In total the whole journey to and from St Ives from Sudbury Suffolk took 14 hours. The hotel room was dirty and the carpet had many bald patches and again very dirty. Room backed on to road with continuous traffic. Courier would not open side door on the coach when safe to do so consequently it took ages to get of off the coach, cutting our time for breaks which were fairly short anyway. • barbaraj206 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Port Tours in Guernsey, UK & Portland, UK Our journey on the Island Princess was very enjoyable. Although we were disappointed in the declining quality of food, we found the service, friendliness of the staff, food presentation, & entertainment to be excellent. The itinerary was excellent as well. We did an independent tour with Tours of Guernsey which was outstanding. Our guide was very knowledgable, friendly, & professional. We visited the German Underground Hospital, a WWII museum & the Little Chapel. The Little Chapel was closed when we arrived but our guide was kind enough to check when it would reopen so we were able to return to see it. Those on the Princess tour who arrived when it was locked did not get that opportunity. Unfortunately we learned that Princess no longer plans to include Guernsey on its itinerary. We believe that this is a mistake since the island was both interesting, beautiful and its people exceptionally friendly. We hope Princess reconsiders their decision & keeps Guernsey on its itinerary since we'd love to return their again. In Portland, UK, we booked the Jurassic Coast Adventure with Dorset Tours. This is a relatively new company which goes out of its way to provide an excellent tour of the beautiful coast, Weymouth, & Portland. Spencer was an excellent guide who was friendly, informative, & professional. Don't hesitate to book a tour with Dorset Tours. Read more Written 11 September 2023

We've been coming to n.wales for many years but still haven't seen much of Angelsey and this was a perfect way to conjole 2 competitive teens ( and a competitive mum) into exploring the island and visiting all sorts of fascinating places we wouldn't have otherwise visited! There is a LOT of content for the price and we found that it took us one whole day just to go from Beaumaris up the right coast, so probably about a sixth of the available content. With good planing you could use this to easily keep a family amused and active for a week in all weathers. Highly recommended from all of us!! Read more Written 9 August 2023

As Biden abandons 'Bidenomics,' Harris makes a different case before Black voters

cambridge tour app

ATLANTA — Vice President Kamala Harris is shaking up her approach to the Black community and making the economy the focal point of a multi-state tour that she kicked off on Monday in Georgia.

Harris came to the battleground state to make an urgent case to voters who delivered a surprise victory for President Joe Biden that he'll ease their everyday costs if he wins reelection. It’s part of a concerted effort by the White House to win back disappointed Americans by putting kitchen table issues at the front of the president's agenda.

During much of last year, Biden campaigned on a slogan of "Bidenomics" touting wins such as historic investments in infrastructure, manufacturing and the middle class. But Biden struggled to convince voters they were experiencing a post-pandemic economic revival as the cost of food; housing and other services have remained high – even after inflation has decreased from its peak.

During her visit, the vice president focused on lowering housing costs, decreasing debt and increasing wealth for Black communities.

"Everybody wants a job and President Joe Biden and I are very proud that in our administration, we have brought Black unemployment down to historic lows," Harris said. "But that's a baseline."

Prep for the polls: See who is running for president and compare where they stand on key issues in our Voter Guide

Harris sought to draw attention to actions the Biden administration has taken to increase entrepreneurs' access to capital, lower housing costs, support historically Black Colleges and Universities and lessen college debt during a moderated conversation and a stop at an Atlanta nonprofit.

"We know that home ownership is probably the most effective way to build intergenerational wealth," Harris declared during an on-stage discussion with the leaders of a Black entrepreneur network.

Biden's support from Black voters is experiencing significant attrition in particular. Much of it coming from Black men.

He trails presumptive GOP nominee and former President Donald Trump in a handful of battleground states, including Georgia. An April survey taken by Morning Consult showed him eight points down in the swing state that he beat Trump in nearly four years ago. Georgia voters say the economy is their top concern in the 2024 presidential election, and just 29% say the economy is on the right track.

Harris' job approval rating is also upside down with voters. She had a 52% disapproval rating nationally in a USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll in March. A bare majority of Black voters, 51%, approved in the same poll.

Her overall support from voters was similar in Georgia in the Morning Consult survey taken in April, when 38% of the state's voters said they had a favorable view of her and 53% said they did not.

Her visit to Atlanta included a stop at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs, where she spoke with Black small business owners about increasing wealth and ways, they are working to support one another. She toured the facility with Georgia's senators, Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, and Rep. Nikema Williams, who also acts as the state party chair.

The vice president also sat down with Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings of the business and finance podcast Earn Your Leisure.

In the discussion Harris raised the issue of highways that cut through Black communities, which she said the administration says its working to reconnect. One such project in Atlanta is receiving $158 million from the Biden administration.

She also slapped back at conservatives' attacks on diversity equity and inclusion initiatives, telling the audience, "We understand that you can’t truly invest in the strength of our nation, if you do not pay attention to diversity, equity and inclusion."

Harris has done events on the economy in underserved communities in the past. Georgia marks the start of an economic opportunity tour that will take her to Michigan next week. A previous tour that Harris embarked on in battleground states aimed to increase support for reproductive rights.

“Hit Me Hard and Soft” is set for a May 17 release. The new album was written by Eilish and Finneas, her brother and long-time collaborator who also produced the album. It is available to preorder, add or save at billieeilish.lnk.to/hitmehardandsoft .

American Express card members can purchase tickets before the general public from noon Arizona time on Tuesday, April 30, until 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, with additional presales running through the week. Any remaining tickets will be available during the general on-sale starting at noon on Friday, May 3, at  billieeilish.com .

What to know about Billie Eilish resale tickets

The goal is to give fans, not scalpers, the best chance to buy tickets at face value. To make this possible, Eilish has chosen to use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange. If fans purchase tickets for a show in the U.S. or Canada and can't attend, they'll have the option to resell them to other fans at the original price paid.

To help protect the Exchange, the tour has requested all tickets be mobile only and restricted from transfer. This applies to all shows except those in Colorado, Illinois and New York, where Face Value Exchange cannot be mandated. A valid bank account or debit card within the country of your event is required to sell on the Face Value Exchange. More information on how the Ticketmaster Exchange works is available at ticketmaster.com.

Concert review: A Billie Eilish concert feels like witnessing a new pop legend in the making. Here's why

Is 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' sustainable?

The album will be available on all digital platforms and — in a continued effort to minimize waste and combat climate change — across all physical formats in limited variants on the same day, with the same track listing and using 100% recyclable materials. For more information on all sustainable practices for this album release, visit store.billieeilish.com/pages/sustainability .

What to know about Billie Eilish's tour sustainability efforts

Eilish will continue her long-standing partnership with environmental nonprofit Reverb on this tour, building on the success of previous efforts, which resulted in more than $1 million donated to environmental, greenhouse gas reduction, and climate justice projects, more than 150,000 fan actions and more. Sustainability efforts on this tour will include reducing greenhouse gas pollution, decreasing single-use plastic waste, supporting climate action and updating concession offerings to promote and encourage plant-based food options with Support+Feed.

In keeping with her commitment to making a difference in the environmental impact of her music and touring, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales in North America will go to Reverb and its ongoing effort to help support organizations across the country addressing the impacts of food insecurity and the climate crisis.

The Billie Eilish Reverb Eco-Villages will be set up at two locations in the main concourse of each show, where fans can take part in the tour’s sustainability efforts, connect with nonprofits and take meaningful action for people and the planet.

What to know about Support+Feed

Support+Feed will be launching a 360 campaign throughout the tour, offering an expanded version of the Support+Feed Pledge inspiring fans to eat one plant-based meal a day for 30 days with digital elements and community activations. Fans can also participate in plant-based food drives in select cities to raise awareness and gather food to distribute to local communities.

Why Billie Eilish wants fans to take public transportation

Fans are encouraged to join the effort to make the “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour more sustainable by taking public transportation, where possible, and carpooling to and from the shows to help reduce greenhouse gas pollution. Fans will receive information via email about public transportation options before the show.

Venue partners are also helping to lessen the environmental footprint of the tour. In addition to efforts to decrease waste through reducing or eliminating single-use plastics and diverting landfill waste with compost and recycling, venues will be offering plant-based food options at all shows.

What to know about RockNRefill bottles

Fans are encouraged to bring an empty reusable water bottle or donate for a custom RockNRefill Nalgene bottle to fill up at the free water refill stations located at each venue. The RockNRefill bottles and refill stations are located at the Eco-Villages in the main concourse at all shows.

What to wear to Billie Eilish's concert

Fans are also encouraged to fight fast fashion by opting for thrifted, upcycled or borrowed clothes instead of buying new clothing to wear to shows.

Tommy Fleetwood’s longtime caddie, Ian Finnis, is one of the most recognizable loopers on TOUR because of both his height and the length of his partnership with Fleetwood. The 6-foot-7 caddie has stood alongside the 5-foot-8 Fleetwood since 2016, a span that includes three Ryder Cup appearances and seven top-five finishes in majors.

That’s why it was immediately obvious when Finnis was not at Fleetwood’s side at the Valero Texas Open and the Masters Tournament. Fleetwood said at the time that Finnis had been dealing with a prolonged infection. On Tuesday, Finnis revealed on his Instagram story that he had undergone open-heart surgery.

“Open heart surgery done!!” Finnis wrote in a post to his Instagram story along with a photo of him laying in a hospital bed with a large scar down his chest. “Massive thanks to all at the NHS staff. Unreal service and people! The road to recovery has started. Thanks for all the love.”

Fleetwood told PGATOUR.COM that Finnis had been feeling ill since before Christmas while dealing with “some sort of infection.”

The two competed in THE PLAYERS Championship together, but Fleetwood said they decided after their tie for 35th that Finnis would skip the Valero to rest up for the Masters Tournament.

“He’s definitely moving in the right direction,” Fleetwood said in San Antonio, where he had Adrian Rietveld, a senior manager at TaylorMade, on the bag. Fleetwood used a local caddie, Gray Moore, en route to a third-place finish.

Justin timberlake's rotating floating stage impresses concertgoers, justin timberlake defies gravity on floating tour stage how's he not falling off.

Justin Timberlake kicked off his new tour this week -- and his stage is already the talk of the town ... 'cause it defies the laws of physics Newton worked so hard to confirm!

JT debuted an awesome set design Monday for the first show of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour -- which officially got under at the inaugural stop in Vancouver, BC ... wowing the crowd at Rogers Arena with a massive floating stage for his performance of "Mirrors."

Check it out ... Justin is strapped into a safety harness as the elevated platform rocks back and forth -- letting concertgoers take it all in at various angles and vantage points.

The end of this particular number was equally impressive ... as the singer was filmed walking backwards as the stage folded into an upright position. Clearly, JT ain't afraid of heights!!!

The elevated set was used on more than one occasion during the show ... as Justin's face was projected onto the platform during his performance of "SexyBack," setting a futuristic tone for the tour.

The singer certainly pulled out all the stops for this world tour ... and yes, if you feel like you've seen something like this before in a musical setting -- your eyes aren't deceiving you.

Of course, the one artist that came to mind for this floating stage was none other than Kanye West -- who famously implemented a similar design years ago while he was touring.

Granted, Justin's stage is slightly more impressive ... because it moves and turns a helluva lot more -- something that certainly dazzled the audience who got to see it for the first time ever.

As you know ... Justin is now touring after releasing his latest album, and this will run through the end of the year. We've heard there's a lot of interest from promoters to get an *NSYNC tour together ... but that's probably not gonna happen until JT can wrap up this current thing.

Based on how cool his show looks on his own -- you can only imagine what they would possibly do with all the other guys ... if anything this only wetting people's boy band appetite.

Anyway ... we'll see how JT does on tour -- so far so good, and the place looked packed!
