The production, directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony Award® winner Warren Carlyle, will begin performances on December 20, 2021, and officially open on February 10, 2022. One of the most universally cherished treasures of the American musical theater, The Music Man was an instant smash hit when it premiered on Broadway on December 19, 1957. It went on to win five Tony Awards®, including the prize for Best Musical, and ran for 1,375 performances. Hugh Jackman is an Academy Award–nominated, Golden Globe and Tony Award–winning performer who has made an impression on audiences of all ages with his multi-hyphenate career persona — as successful onstage as he is on film. From his award-winning turn on Broadway as the 1970s singer/songwriter Peter Allen to his metal-claw-wielding Wolverine in the blockbuster  X-Men  franchise, Mr. Jackman has proven to be one of the most versatile actors of our time. The Australian native made his first major U.S. film appearance as Wolverine in the first installment of the  X-Men  series, a role he reprised in the enormously successful  X2  and  X-Men: The Last Stand . He then starred as the title character in  X-Men Origins: Wolverine , a prequel to the popular series that grossed $85 million domestically in its first weekend of release. Audiences once again saw Jackman in the popular role in the next chapter , The Wolverine , which grossed over $400 million worldwide. In 2014, Mr. Jackman and the X-Men team reunited for  X-Men: Days of Future Past.  He garnered his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance in Tom Hooper’s  Les Misérables  in 2012. Mr. Jackman’s standout performance as Jean Valjean earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical, as well as Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award® nominations (Best Ensemble and Best Male Actor in a Leading Role) and a BAFTA Award nomination. Most recently, he was nominated for a Grammy for his role as P.T. Barnum in  The Greatest Showman . Sales for the film soundtrack have broken records around the world, reaching multi-platinum status in many countries, including the United Kingdom and United States. In 2009, Mr. Jackman hosted the 81st Annual Academy Awards, which earned him an Emmy Award nomination. He also served as host of the Tony Awards three years in a row, from 2003 to 2005, earning an Emmy for the 2004 ceremony and an Emmy nomination for his appearance at the 2005 ceremony. Jackman’s continued dedication to the Broadway community was fêted at the 2012 Tony Awards, where he received a Special Tony Award recognizing his accomplishments as a performer and humanitarian. In 2009, Broadway audiences could see Jackman in the Keith Huff–penned  A Steady Rain,  starring alongside Daniel Craig. For his portrayal of the 1970s singer/songwriter Peter Allen in  The Boy From Oz , Jackman received the 2004 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle, and Theatre World Awards.  His additional theater credits include  Carousel  at Carnegie Hall;  Oklahoma!  at the National Theatre in London, for which he received an Olivier Award nomination;  Sunset Boulevard , for which he garnered Australia’s prestigious Australian Variety Artists’ ‘Mo’ Award; and  Beauty and the Beast , for which he received a ‘Mo’ Award nomination. Mr. Jackman’s career began in Australia in the independent films  Paperback Hero  and  Erskinville Kings . His performance in the latter earned him an Australian Film Critics Circle Best Actor Award and the Australian Film Institute Best Actor nomination. In 1999, he was named Australian Star of the Year at the Australian Movie Convention. Mr. Jackman was most recently seen in the role of former Senator Gary Hart, in the Jason Reitman–directed film  The Front Runner . He has also completed production for the feature film  Bad Education , co-starring Allison Janney and Ray Romano.

Sutton Foster is a two-time Tony award winning actress and singer who was most recently seen on stage in her highly anticipated Broadway run as Marian Paroo in the acclaimed revival of The Music Man at The Winter Garden Theatre. Her performance earned her seventh Tony award nomination as well as the coveted 2022 Drama League Distinguished Performance Award. Foster will next be seen leading the forthcoming New York City Center Encores! adaptation of Once Upon a Mattress as Princess Winnifred in January of 2024. In the summer of 2021, she reprised one of her most notable roles as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes at the Barbican Theatre in London in which she earned an Oliver Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. Her original performance in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre earned her a 2011 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. On television, Sutton led the critically acclaimed Darren Star and TV Land series, Younger for seven seasons, making it the longest running original series in TV Land history. Previously, Foster has also appeared on Broadway in Violet, Anything Goes (Tony Award), Shrek, Young Frankenstein, The Drowsy Chaperone, Little Women, Thoroughly Modern Millie (Tony Award), Les Misérables, Annie, The Scarlet Pimpernel , and Grease . Marie Mullen is a multi-award-winning actress who has worked on all four corners of the globe, in many of the world’s most reputable theatres. A founding member of the internationally renowned Druid Theatre Company, she has played a panoply of roles for the company over the past 40 years. Most notably Marie received a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the role of Maureen in the Druid production of  The Beauty Queen of Leenane . Other work includes the world premiere of Colm Toibin's monologue  Testament  for Landmark Productions, Queen Margaret in  Richard III , Mommo in  Bailegangaire  and multiple roles in the  DruidSynge, DruidMurphy,  and  DruidShakespeare  cycles all of which received high praise while touring internationally. She has just completed playing the role of Morkan in Druid's production of  Epiphany  by Brian Watkins and will reprise her role in  Richard III  at the Lincoln Center White Light Festival later this year.  Marie has worked with highly respected directors in tv and film and theatre, notably Charlie Kaufman, Neil Jordan and Garry Hynes.

Gino Cosculluela began dancing at the age of 5 and trained in Miami, Florida, under the instruction of John Culbertson and Cookie Ramos of Dance Attack Miami. He had the honor of making the final three of So You Think You Can Dance  season 16 on Fox TV, as well as being a part of its nationwide tour afterward. Most recently, Gino wrapped on Marvel’s Hawkeye , as well as a new Netflix film,  Senior Year , starring Rebel Wilson. In addition, he has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show . Gino is extremely excited to be making his Broadway debut in  The Music Man !

Emma Crow started dancing at age 2 at Christine Taylor’s North Jersey School of Dance Arts (NJSDA) in Hackettstown, NJ, where she was trained primarily by Ballet Mistress Luba Gulyaeva. In 2016, Emma was the overall gold medalist at The World Ballet Competition (WBC) and was chosen to perform at the All-Star Galas in 2016 and 2018. Emma has been attending the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School (JKO) since 2018 where she is currently training with Cynthia Harvey, Robert La Fosse, Petrusjka Broholm, and Ethan Stiefel. In recent years, she has performed with the ABT Company at the Metropolitan Opera House as a supernumerary, she also performed at The Joyce Theater and The Morgan Library in NYC. Emma is beyond excited to be making her Broadway debut in  The Music Man .

Emily Jewel Hoder is SO excited to be making her Broadway debut at 10 years old in  The Music Man ! She was last seen as Little Cosette/Young Eponine on the Broadway National Tour of  Les Misérables . Her first regional production at the age of 6 was  Annie  (Molly) starring Sally Struthers at The Wick Theatre. Phillip performed as Booker T. Washington in the Anniversary Concert of  Ragtime  at Lincoln Center. He also made his Carnegie Hall debut in  Broadway Classics . Film:  Freedom   starring Cuba Gooding Jr.;  Top Five  starring Chris Rock; Caiaphas in  Easter Mysteries . He was featured as the cover story in  Classical   Singer Magazine . He’s a graduate of the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music in CT, he also studied Jazz and Vocal Performance at SC State University, Howard University and the NC School of the Arts. Phillip has toured throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, Russia, Poland and North America. Mr. Boykin is the Founder, Director and Manager of "The New York Gospel Brothers."

Eddie Korbich has appeared on Broadway in  Breakfast at Tiffany’s, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, A Christmas Story, The Little Mermaid, The Drowsy Chaperone  (Drama Desk nomination),  After the Night and the Music, Wicked, Seussical, Carousel ,  Singin’ in the Rain , and  Sweeney Todd . His Off-Broadway credits include the Original  Assassins, Godspell, The Gifts of the Magi, FLORA, the Red Menace, A Little Night Music,  and  Eating Raoul . He appeared regionally in  The Gamester  (St. Louis Rep),  Dracula  (North Shore),  3hree  (Ahmanson),  George M , and  Man of La Mancha . He toured nationally as Frank in  Showboat  (dir. Harold Prince). His film and television credits include Pose; The Good Fight;  The Deuce, Law & Order, New York Undercover, Out of the Box, Deadbeat, Elementary, Mysteries of Laura ,  Jennifer 8,   and  Quiz Show.   Saturday morning cartoon fans may recognize his voice as a regular on Nickelodeon’s Doug  and PB & J Otter . He received the 2000 Obie Award for  Taking a Chance   on   Love  (York Theatre).  

Daniel Torres was last on Broadway in   Beautiful  and enjoyed its almost six year run, eventually assuming the role of Barry Mann. Other Broadway credits include  The Pirate Queen, The Woman in White,  and the revival of  Evita , alternate Che to Ricky Martin. Other credits include  Altar   Boyz  (Juan) at New World Stages,  Evita  at New York City Center, the national tour of  Wicked , and the final two seasons of  A Christmas Carol  at Madison Square Garden playing young Ebenezer Scrooge. A Proud Puerto Rico native, Daniel dedicates his performance to his kids, Teigen and Isla.

Nicholas Ward  is honored to be featured in his 5th Broadway production. Past credits include:   The Lion King  (Mufasa),  Frozen , (OBC-King Agnarr),  In Transit   (OBC-Chris),   On   The   Town  (Workman, Miss Turnstile’s Announcer). Nicholas has also had the great pleasure of performing in 8 New York City Center Encores! productions including:  Brigadoon  with Kelli O’Hara,  Cabin In The Sky  with Chuck Cooper,  Pipe Dream  with Leslie Uggams,  The Golden Apple ,  1776 ,  Zorba  with Marin Mazzie,  Paint Your Wagon , and  Annie Get Your Gun . Lincoln Center Productions include  Camelot , and Andrew Lippa’s   I am Harvey Milk . Touring productions include: Showboat  and  Porgy & Bess . Film & TV credits include:   Schmigadoon, Frozen 2, Ricky and the Flash ,  The Tony Awards ,  The Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon ,  GMA , O ne Night Only   The   Best of Broadway ,  The Disney Holiday Sing Along ,  Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting . Regionally he had been featured in many productions including,  Ragtime ,  Man of La Mancha ,  Smokey Joe's Cafe , and  Jesus Christ Superstar . Original Broadway Cast Recordings include:  Frozen, In Transi t. Love to mom, friends and family. Nicholas is grateful to have had such a wonderful career traveling and doing what he loves.

Tony Award®-winning actress and singer Sutton Foster returns to The Parker with  SUTTON FOSTER: Christmas Time Is Here ! This show will feature Foster singing a collection of songs that includes a mixture of holiday classics and her own personal holiday favorites. Foster is one of her generation's most celebrated Broadway actresses, having won two Tony Awards® for her performances in  Anything Goes  and  Thoroughly Modern Millie . She has starred in numerous other Broadway productions, including  Violet ,  Young Frankenstein ,  Shrek the Musical , and most recently concluded a lauded run in  The Music Man . Other notable stage performances include  Into the Woods ,  Sweet Charity , and  The Wild Party . In addition to her work on stage, Foster is known for her performances on television, including the hit series  Younger ,  Bunheads ,  The Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life  and  The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel .

Sutton Foster stars in  The Music Man   at the  Winter Garden Theatre  on Broadway.

Sutton Lenore Foster was born on March 18, 1975 in Statesboro, Georgia. She is a two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway actor, also known for her television role as Liza Miller on TV Land’s Younger .

Raised in Troy, Michigan, Foster attended Troy High School but left before graduating to join the National Tour of The Will Rogers Follies  under the direction of Tommy Tune. She would also go on to study at Carnegie Mellon University for one year before departing to pursue a full-time career on the stage.

Foster’s most notable early stage credits include the leading role of Sandy Dumbrowski in the National Tour of Grease in 1995, which led to her Broadway debut, assuming the role at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre in 1996. She would also appear in the 1997 Broadway revival of Annie and 1997 Broadway premiere of The Scarlet Pimpernel . In 1999, she took over the coveted role of Éponine in the national tour of Les Misérables , later transferring to the musical’s Broadway production in 2000.

Her big break came later in 2000 after finally landing the starring role of Millie Dilmount in the La Jolla Playhouse production of Thoroughly Modern Millie . Following her turns in regional productions of The Three Musketeers in San Jose and South Pacific in Pittsburgh in 2001, Thoroughly Modern Millie would ultimately premiere on Broadway in 2002 to great acclaim, earning Foster her first Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

Thanks to her new leading lady status, she became a regular on the Broadway stage and starred as Jo in Little Women (2005 Tony nomination), as Janet Van De Graaff in The Drowsy Chaperone (2006 Tony nomination), as Inga in Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein (2007-08), and as Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical (2009 Tony nomination). She won her second Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her turn as Reno Sweeney in the 2011 Broadway revival of Anything Goes,  which also led to her first Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Theater Album in 2012. She earned yet another Tony nomination in 2014 for her portrayal of the titular character in the Broadway premiere of Violet .

Foster’s Off-Broadway credits include the 2010 Second Stage Theater production of Trust and a Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk Award-nominated performance as Charity Hope Valentine in The New Group’s 2016 revival of Sweet Charity . She has also performed in a plethora of benefit concert productions on Broadway as well as Encores! productions at New York City Center. She also starred as The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods at The Hollywood Bowl in 2019.

On television, she is best known for her starring role as Liza Miller on Younger , which aired from 2015 to 2021 on TV Land. Her earlier screen credits include the leading role of Michelle Simms on  Bunheads  (2012-13) and guest roles on the likes of Instinct ,  The Good Wife ,  Elementary ,  Psych ,  Royal Pains ,  Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , and Flight of the Conchords , among others.

As a recording artist, Foster has also released two studio albums: Wish  in 2009 and Take Me to the World  in 2018, along with one live album, 2011’s An Evening with Sutton Foster: Live at the Café Carlyle .

ABOUT THE CONCERT

Brian stokes mitchell.

Dubbed “the last leading man” by The New York Times, two-time Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell has enjoyed a career that spans Broadway, television, film, and concert appearances with the country’s finest conductors and orchestras.

He received Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle awards for his star turn in Kiss Me, Kate . He also gave Tony-nominated performances in Man of La Mancha , August Wilson’s King Hedley II  and Ragtime . Other notable Broadway shows include Kiss of the Spider Woman , Jelly’s Last Jam , Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and Shuffle Along . In 2016 he was awarded his second Tony Award, the prestigious Isabelle Stevenson Tony for his Charitable work with The Actors Fund. That same year Stokes was inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame.

SUTTON FOSTER

Sutton Foster is a Tony Award winning American actress, singer, and dancer who was most recently seen on the Broadway stage starring in an acclaimed turn as Marian Paroo in the Broadway revival of The Music Man , opposite Hugh Jackman at The Winter Garden Theatre. Her performance earned her seventh Tony award nomination as well as the coveted 2022 Drama League Distinguished Performance Award.

Last fall, Sutton released her memoir Hooked: How Crafting Saved My Life . The page turner is comprised of funny and intimate stories and reflections about how crafting has kept her sane while navigating the highs and lows of family, love, and show business.

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
