Shopping across the bank holiday will depend on the individual  opening hours  of each  supermarket .

Some individual stores may have different opening and closing hours, so do check before heading out.

Homebase early May bank holiday opening times

Homebase  stores are open today, but business hours vary from store to store.

Many are open from 8am on weekdays and Saturdays and from 10am or 11am on Sundays.

You’ll still be able to post a letter at one of the 100,000 post boxes across the country though.

Are banks open on the early May bank holiday?

Many banks and building societies tend to close their doors on bank holidays, including Monday May 6, 2024.

Banks that have confirmed they'll be closing their doors include: Barclays, Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland, Nationwide Building Society, Santander and HSBC.

You can still bank online with any of the banks even when a branch is closed. But there may be less availability with customer support if you need to speak to someone.
