Fall Out Boy + Bring Me the Horizon Announce 2023 North American Tour

Fall Out Boy are hitting the road with Bring Me the Horizon  this year. The two just announced a set of 2023 North American tour dates together. Alkaline Trio will join them for three of the shows. The package includes several concerts at major stadiums.

Plus, additional bands New Found Glory, Four Year Strong, The Academy Is…, Royal & The Serpent, Games We Play, Daisy Grenade and Carr will provide further support on select dates on the trek.

See the tour dates near the bottom of this post.

Last week, Fall Out Boy  teased the tour with a video showing venues displaying the newly adopted Fall Out Boy proverb,  "If you build it, they will come."  They later  shared an image resembling BMTH's  That's the Spirit album artwork with the caption, "Things are looking overcast on the horizon. Check back tomorrow [Jan. 31] to see if weather conditions improve."

Last month, Fall Out Boy announced So Much (for) Stardust , their forthcoming eighth studio album. It features " Love From the Other Side " and " Heartbreak Feels So Good ," both released in January. Fall Out Boy heavily  teased the album earlier this year.

Two weeks ago, founding Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman revealed that he was taking a break from the band for mental health reasons. Fall Out Boy singer-guitarist Patrick Stump , bassist Pete Wentz and drummer Andy Hurley supported his decision.

"It pains me to make this decision, especially when we are releasing a new album that fills me with great pride," Trohman said  in a statement on Jan. 18.

Meanwhile, Bring Me the Horizon's latest full length,  POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR came out in 2020 and has been succeeded by a number of singles, the most recent being "STraNgeRs."

FALL OUT BOY Announces Summer 2023 U.S. Tour With BRING ME THE HORIZON

Grammy Award -nominated and multi-platinum selling rock band FALL OUT BOY is set to hit the road this summer with their 2023 headline tour "So Much For (Tour) Dust" . The 25-plus-date North American trek will kick off with a show of epic proportions at Chicago's famed Wrigley Field on June 21 before continuing through cities like St. Louis, Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Toronto, and concluding in Camden, New Jersey on August 6.

In addition to Wrigley Field, "So Much For (Tour) Dust" includes three more stadium stops: BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, Forest Hills Stadium in New York and Fenway Park in Boston. Complete routing is available below.

FALL OUT BOY will be joined by BRING ME THE HORIZON on most dates, as well as ALKALINE TRIO , NEW FOUND GLORY , FOUR YEARS STRONG , THE ACADEMY IS… , ROYAL & THE SERPENT , GAMES WE PLAY , DAISY GRENADE and CARR on select shows throughout the tour's run.

Ticket presales for "So Much For (Tour) Dust" go on sale Thursday, February 2 beginning 10 a.m. local time. General tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, February 3 at 10 a.m. local time.

"So Much For (Tour) Dust" , presented by Live Nation , is in support of FALL OUT BOY 's forthcoming new album "So Much (For) Stardust" , which arrives March 24, 2023 on Fueled By Ramen / Elektra / DCD2 Records . The record was produced by Neal Avron .

Last Wednesday, FALL OUT BOY returned to their roots for a surprise homecoming show at Chicago's legendary 1,000-capacity Metro — announced only two days prior, the show immediately sold out. Just down the street from Wrigley Field, the band first played the venue in September 2002, a pivotal gig that FALL OUT BOY 's Patrick Stump jokingly called back to for the packed crowd two decades later: "Twenty years ago, I told my mom I was going to take a semester off [college] because we were headlining Metro and I wanted to see how that would work out." FALL OUT BOY 's Pete Wentz expressed the band's enduring relationship with the venue: "Walking up those stairs is the closest thing this band will have to church."

Variety hailed the night as a "triumphant hometown show," noting that "there are concerts, and there are events, and a hometown show in Chicago from [ FALL OUT BOY ] is definitely in the latter category." Over the course of the night, the band ripped through a mix of their biggest hits and deepest cuts, with Illinois Entertainer praising the set as "taking full advantage of both the intimate venue and the loyal hometown crowd to deliver a once-in-a-decade event."

The show also featured the live public debut of both "Love From The Other Side" and "Heartbreak Feels So Good" , two tracks from the new album and the latter of which was released the morning of the show. The Chicago Sun-Times lauded the two tracks, noting the new material "takes all they've learned and accomplished the past 20 years and combines it with their unflinching roots for an ultimate glow-up."

Prior to the show, the city was enveloped with teasing signage across city buildings and stations along the "L." Foreshadowing the impending tour announcement, the marquees at Metro and Wrigley both featured curiously complimentary nods to the 1989 film "Field Of Dreams" .

FALL OUT BOY first hit the stage in 2023 with a dynamic set at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO in Los Angeles, California on January 14, just days after officially revealing the release date for "Love From The Other Side" .

FALL OUT BOY most recently co-headlined "The Hella Mega Tour" in July 2021 alongside GREEN DAY and WEEZER , playing live in front of over one million fans on a sold-out global stadium tour. The U.S. leg included numerous sold-out stadium gigs — including renowned venues like Wrigley Field, Boston's Fenway Park and Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium. Critical and fan acclaim poured in, with USA Today hailing it "the most stacked line-up of any rock tour in 2021," Billboard noting that each night was "serving up a buffet of hits in front of one of the largest concert crowds," and Rolling Stone calling it "wildly entertaining." The tour was nominated for both "Major Tour Of The Year" and "Best Rock Tour" at the Pollstar Awards in 2021. The international leg of the tour took place throughout the summer of 2022.

"So Much (For) Stardust" is FALL OUT BOY 's eighth studio album and first since 2018's "Mania" , which garnered a Grammy nomination for "Best Rock Album" and marked their third consecutive and fourth overall No. 1 album.

Speaking to NME earlier this month about their forthcoming new album , ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ – Out March 24 – Fall Out Boy compared it to the spirit of their divisive 2009 album ‘Folie à Deux’, though said it’s “it’s not a throwback record”.

“I didn’t want to go back to a specific style, but I wanted to imagine what would it have sounded like if we had made a record right after ‘Folie à Deux’ [Fall Out Boy’s divisive 2009 album] instead of taking a break for a few years,” frontman Patrick Stump said. “It was like exploring the multiverse. It was an experiment in seeing what we would have done.”

Fall Out Boy announce tour with Bring Me The Horizon and more

Well… they certainly did a good job of teasing it, and now it’s actually happening: Fall Out Boy are going on a 25-plus-date tour with Bring Me The Horizon !

The Chicago pop-punks had previously sent future tourmate Oli Sykes one of their pink seashells, before hinting at a U.S. stadium run and then posting a wonky umbrella referencing Bring Me’s That’s The Spirit album. And now one of the coolest bills of the year is official.

FOB will be hitting the road with Horizon and Royal & The Serpent, plus at select shows they’ll also be joined by Alkaline Trio , New Found Glory , Four Year Strong , The Academy Is… , Games We Play, Daisy Grenade and CARR.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, February 3.

Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon, Royal and The Serpent & Daisy Grenade at Fiddlers Green Amphitheatre

Fall Out Boy's new album, "So Much (for) Stardust", is scheduled for its big release this coming March 24th. The new record will feature their new singles "Love From the Other Side" and "Heartbreak Feels So Good". In support of their upcoming album, Fall Out Boy just announced a brand new tour with a lineup of special guests who will be joining the band at certain show stops. The tour's stop at Fiddlers Green Amphitheatre will have Bring Me The Horizon, Royal and The Serpent, and Daisy Grenade as their opening acts.

Two singles in, fans have been itching to get their hands on the band's new record. So Much (for) Stardust follows the band's 2018 #1 album "Mania" which featured its hit single "The Last of the Real Ones".

"We wanted to make a record that was really lovingly crafted and deliberate and patiently guided," lead vocalist Patrick Stump shared in a statement. "Like someone cooked you a delicate meal. I’m not a very proud guy, but I’m pretty proud of this record."

Rockin' the stage for over twenty years, Fall Out Boy soared great heights since their 2005 breakout hit "Sugar, We're Goin Down". Having amassed a dedicated fanbase for their pop-punk and pop-rock treats, the band produced a slew of hit singles through the next decade including "Dance, Dance", "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race", "Thnks fr th Mmrs", "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)", "Centuries", and "The Last of the Real Ones".

2018's "Mania" marked the band's fourth #1 and sixth consecutive top-10 record. In the same year, Fall Out Boy received their second Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Album.

With So Much (for) Stardust coming out real soon, big surprises await fans as Fall Out Boy enters a new decade of rock surprises. Don't miss out on So Much for (Tour) Dust by booking your tickets now!

Rock legends Fall Out Boy brought their headline tour, “So Much For (Tour) Dust,” to NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium on Wednesday evening. The tour is in support of their latest album, So Much (For) Stardust (their first new album in five years), and they brought along fellow rockers Bring Me The Horizon for the ride.

With golden hour upon us, British rock band Bring Me The Horizon took the stage. The five-piece from Sheffield played for an hour with their setlist spanning multiple albums. Drummer Matt Nicholls , keyboardist Jordan Fish , and bassist Matt Kean stood atop a massive riser, looming over guitarist Lee Malia , touring guitarist John Jones , and frontman Oliver Sykes .

The band opened with the new track “AmEN!” followed by “Teardrops” from 2020’s POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR , followed by “Happy Song” from 2015’s That’s The Spirit . On the floor of the 13,000-capacity venue – I was overjoyed to see how many fans came early to scream along with Oli. And despite the glaring sun overhead, the crowd’s energy did not let up as the band moved into “DiE4u,” “MANTRA,” “Shadow Moses,” and “sTraNgeRs” before playing “Drown” while Oli snaked his way through the crowd during the performance.

While I and the fans around me did not want their set to end, BMTH’s set did have to come to a close as they ended with “LoST,” “Can You Feel My Heart,” and “Throne.”

As sunset began to fall, the stage began to take shape for Fall Out Boy’s performance, as a menacing tree, clownish moon, and a clock took over the left of the stage; as well as a giant orb at the top. Originally hailing from Chicago, the four-piece of Patrick Stump on vocals/guitar, Pete Wentz on bass, Joe Trohman on guitar, and Andy Hurley on drums began their show with the drawback of a red velvet curtain, fireworks (yes, fireworks on the stage) and the song “Love From the Other Side” from So Much (For) Stardust . Things got hot as the second track, “The Phoenix,” was all about fire – from fire exploding from the back of the stage to fire erupting from the end of Pete Wentz’s bass. Things slowed down again when the curtain closed for fan-favorite “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” before they launched into “Uma Thurman” and “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More ‘Touch Me.’”

The band’s 24-song setlist spanned their eight studio albums – from their debut album, Take This to Your Grave , with “Chicago Is So Two Years Ago” and “Grand Theft Autumn / Where Is Your Boy” to their fourth album Folie à Deux with “Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes” and “Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet.” 2013’s Save Rock and Roll also got some love with “Just One Yesterday” and “Save Rock and Roll,” while their sophomore album From Under The Cork Tree also got some love with “7 Minutes in Heaven (Atavan Halen)” and “Dance, Dance.”

Gym Class Heroes vocalist Travie McCoy made a special guest appearance, as Fall Out Boy covered Gym Class Heroes tracks “Stereo Hearts” and “Cupid’s Chokehold,” which got the crowd singing along with both Patrick and Travie.

Toward the end of the show, Pete had a talk with a Magic 8 Ball in the sky (the aforementioned orb at the top of the stage) to determine what songs the band played next – prompting them to launch into “I Am My Own Muse” and “27” before telling the crowd “this is normally when we leave and then come back for an encore.” The four-piece skipped the walking off stage part entirely, and instead launched into their four-song encore of “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up),” “Thnks fr th Mmrs,” Centuries,” and “Saturday” during which streamers erupted, and confetti fell over the crowd.

Bring Me The Horizon Drops Hints About Upcoming Album: 'It's Time for a New Era'

Bring Me The Horizon is finally getting ready to drop their new album POST HUMAN: NeX GEn .

The band confirmed that the record will come out sometime this year in a cryptic social media post on Wednesday, April 10.

"It’s time for a new era. Initialising NeX GEn," says a promotional video featuring an unsettling digital character.

"You cling to your virtual identity as if it were your very soul. Pathetic. I’m here to wipe away the detritus of your existence. All these thoughts, these memories, they are but a fleeting echo in an endless void. And just like that, you cease to exist in a digital realm. A mere blip erased from the annals of cyberspace. Farewell insignificant content."

At the end of the clip there's a small paragraph with another message: "THE CHURCH OF GENXSIS welcomes you to a night at YOUTOPIA via NeX GEn. There is a home beyond our bones. P.H. II ??/??/2024."

Frontman Oli Sykes first announced the upcoming album during the band's set at Download Festival in June.

The following month, the band revealed that the rollout would be delayed due to "unforeseen circumstances."

This will be Bring Me The Horizon's first full-length studio album since 2020's Post Human: Survival Horror . That record made it to No. 1 on the albums chart in the U.K., where it was also certified gold.

Bring Me The Horizon is currently in the midst of a brief Australian tour. The band revealed that guitarist Lee Malia will miss several upcoming concerts as he and his wife welcome their new baby.

"He will be back for future dates, but is taking some time out with the new addition to his family for this run," they said in a social media post on Wednesday.

The upcoming album will be Bring Me The Horizon's first release in more than a decade without longtime keyboardist and composer Jordan Fish , who produced the new Architects track " Curse ."

He first appeared on the 2013 LP Sempiternal , which made it to No. 3 on the albums chart in the U.K.

Fish played a key creative role as Bring Me The Horizon shifted toward pop rock with their 2015 record That's The Spirit . The band has been a household name in the U.K. and Australia ever since.

"We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future," Bring Me The Horizon said when Fish departed in December.

The keyboardist released his own statement about the matter, as well.

"I’m really grateful for my 11 years with the band, and extremely proud of all that we have achieved together," he said. "I look forward to hearing what they do next, and wish them every success in the future. I’m excited to start this next chapter in my career."
