How to Game Black Friday Travel Deals During a Pandemic

Look for flexible cancellation and rebooking policies, and trips you can book next summer and beyond, when the coronavirus may be more controlled.

Normally, the 14-room Tierra Magnifica resort in Nosara, Costa Rica, doesn’t participate in Black Friday sales as it never had trouble filling its few rooms. But this year is different. While Christmas and New Year’s bookings are strong, periods before and after are weak, inspiring the 25-percent-off sale on Nov. 27 through Dec. 6, with rooms from $274, and 50 percent off spa services.

“We’re not in it this year to make money,” said Steve Jacobus, the owner of the resort. “We’re in it to increase loyalty. We know the people we bring in at a discount will return and tell friends. We’re keeping the lights on and everyone employed.”

Survival of the busiest is the invisible hand feeding Black Friday travel deals this year, which seem to be growing based on the number of first-time sales, deeper discounts and extra perks, all usually bundled with flexible cancellation policies.

Notably this year, the Black Friday sale window has been expanded, not just to what is known as Cyber Week — the week following Thanksgiving — but to much of November. At nearly 200 of its properties worldwide, Melia Hotels International is offering up to half off its rates throughout the month. At many of its luxury hotels, including the SLS Brickell in Miami, Sbe is offering 20 percent off rooms booked in November and 30 percent off bookings made Nov. 27 through Nov. 30 for stays through November 2021. The online travel agency Expedia is lengthening its sale by five days this year, running through Dec. 1, often highlighting free cancellation policies.

“We know that flexibility is every bit as important as finding a great deal right now,” wrote Christie Hudson, a spokeswoman for Expedia, in an email.

Generous cancellation terms mean there’s little risk in securing a deal. G Adventure’s cyber sale has more than 400 trips in 2021 at 21 percent off with just a $1 deposit.

“If you see a great deal, there’s no risk in taking it,” said Christopher Anderson, a professor of operations management at Cornell University’s hotel school.

While strategizing travel to coincide with the timing of a coronavirus vaccine remains a gamble, the stronger bet, he added, might be booking a trip for the summer or beyond when vaccine availability may be more widespread, unleashing pent-up demand in the travel market.

“If you can get those reservations with full flexibility, that might be a free option you want because I would expect a big uptick in demand,” Mr. Anderson said.

The following are other ways Black Friday travel deals are offering more value this year while accommodating the possibility of pandemic-disrupted plans. As always, caveat emptor: Beware blackout dates and other restrictions in the fine print.

First-time sales

The number of first-time participants in Black Friday sales characterizes the drive in the market to entice nervous travelers.

For the first time in its 26 years in business, the luxury adventure lodge group Explora is offering discounts up to half off its all-inclusive rates at its five properties in Chile (Patagonia, the Atacama Desert and Rapa Nui), Peru (the Sacred Valley) and Argentina ( El Chalten , opening in December). The sale runs Nov. 27 through Dec. 1 for travel until March 2022. Rates, which include all guided excursions, meals, open bar and round-trip airport transfers, normally start at $528 a person at Explora Valle Sagrado.

Another first-timer, the 21 stylish and affordable citizenM hotels, will hold a 30 percent off sale now to Dec. 1 for stays through 2021. Prediscount rates at locations in Seattle and Times Square in New York City normally start at $109 and $119, respectively. Cancellations are free up to 2 p.m. the day of arrival.

If you’re not sure you’ll get your mountain fix this winter because of lingering travel restrictions, Ski Portillo in Chile aims to lure you to the Andes Mountains with its inaugural Black Friday sale, running to Dec. 7 for travel in July and August. A seven-day ski stay normally costs $3,600 a person, including lodging, lift tickets and meals, or $1,543 for a three-day stay; the sale cuts those prices by 25 or 30 percent, depending on the date of stay.

Homes & Villas by Marriott International is new to the sale, too, and is offering 15 percent off last-minute stays within 10 days of booking through Nov. 30, and 10 percent off bookings sitewide through Dec. 2 for stays over the next two years. Prediscount, offerings include a two-bedroom beach condo in the Florida Panhandle (from $156), a midcentury modern ranch in Palm Springs , Calif. (from $2,229), and a 17th-century estate in Scotland (from 5,247 pounds or about $6,968).

Deals with pandemic safety nets

Some deals take on that giant hurdle to travel — Covid-19 — with safety net provisions.

For bookings made in November, the Moorings , a charter yacht company operating in the Caribbean and French Polynesia, will include travel insurance for up to two guests. The policy, valued from $171 a person, would cover trip interruption and medical expenses up to $10,000 if a traveler is diagnosed with Covid-19 during the sailing. Charters booked before Dec. 31 for travel until Nov. 1, 2021, will fall under the company’s flexible booking policy , which gives travelers the option to reschedule without a penalty fee or receive a credit to rebook within 12 months of the original departure date. Weeklong charters in the British Virgin Islands start around $4,700.

Provenance Hotels , a collection of 13 boutique hotels across the country, is offering up to 50 percent off prepaid rates Nov. 25 to 30, with no fees or rate adjustments for booking changes throughout 2021. Discounted rates start at $59 a night at the Hotel Preston in Nashville, $70 a night at the Revolution Hotel in Boston and $239 a night at the Villa Royale in Palm Springs, Calif.

As full-scale cruising begins the long voyage to resuming service sometime in 2021, many cruise lines are extending their flexible booking policies, including Hurtigruten . Through Dec. 2, the expedition line is offering select itineraries at up to 50 percent off and requiring a $500 deposit rather than the normal 20 percent of the trip cost. Bookings made through December qualify for the line’s flexible cancellation policy, which provides a refund, including the deposit, within 90 days of departure for sailings through Sept. 2021, and 180 days for trips October through December 2022. Deals include 2022 sailings that circumnavigate Iceland , starting at roughly $3,880 a person, after the discount.

The luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent is meeting the social-distancing moment by putting its Private Escapes on sale during cyber week, Nov. 30 to Dec. 4. These are private itineraries that often include airport greetings and transfers, private guides and sightseeing excursions, hotels and some meals. With the deal, a seven-day trip in Croatia in 2021 that is normally $3,395 is $1,995 a person, and a nine-day journey in Egypt is 50 percent off, at $3,195. Changes for Covid-19-related reasons are allowed up to 15 days before departure.

Deals plus perks

Many travel companies are sweetening their deals with extra perks.

Near Florence, Italy, the seasonal Renaissance-villa-turned-hotel Il Salviatino never opened in 2020. But it’s planning to operate May 13 to Nov. 27, 2021, and will kick off bookings with a weeklong sale through Nov. 30, at 40 percent off, with rates starting at 273 euros (or about $325), including breakfast, high tea and shuttles to Florence (nonrefundable prepayment required, though travelers may change their dates without penalty through March 31).

On St. Lucia, the all-inclusive Windjammer Landing resort is offering villas at 50 percent off, starting at $141 through Dec. 4, and throwing in a $150 spa credit for stays of three nights or longer until Dec. 18, 2021. Kimpton Hotel & Restaurants may appeal to your inner altruist with a 25-percent-off room deal and a $5 a night donation to the charity No Kid Hungry on bookings at more than 70 hotels worldwide, made Nov. 27 to Dec. 2 on stays through Sept. 7, 2021 (cancel up to three days before arrival with no penalty).

Acre resort in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, is marking its rooms down one-third (to as low as $183) on three-night stays through Oct. 2021, including daily breakfast and morning yoga, arrival cocktails, a mezcal tasting and round-trip airport transportation (email [email protected] by Dec. 1 and reference AcreBlackFriday2020 to book).

More bang for your buck

In many cases, the discounts are bigger this year.

At Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys, Sheldon Suga, the vice president managing director, said management weighed the possible tourism revival in 2021 against the fact that many families were suffering financially.

“We decided to do the right thing and extend our discount and the booking window,” he said of the weeklong deal, through Nov. 30, that offers 40 percent off versus 30 percent off last year for travel through Oct. 31 (rates start at $191, postdiscount).

Last year, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts offered its rooms at up to 35 percent off during the seasonal sale. This year, the deal runs to 40 percent off, meaning an available $1,000 room at the Rosewood Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands would be $600. The deal runs Nov. 27 through Dec. 1, with a penalty-free cancellation window of 24 hours prearrival, through June 30, 2021.

In Orlando, the SeaWorld-owned marine park Discovery Cove said this year’s sale is its biggest ever. Through Nov. 30, discounts range from 20 to 50 percent off; a regular dolphin swim package at $204 down will be as little as $102 on visits throughout 2021. The park also offers free rebooking up to 48 hours of arrival and full refunds more than 30 days out.

Rates still start at $599 a person at Miraval Resorts , three destination spas in Tucson, Ariz., Austin, Texas, and Lenox, Mass., during its sale from Nov. 30 to Dec. 7, but include a $275 nightly credit to spend on spa services and activities throughout 2021, up from the normal $175 credit.

Big-ticket items slashed

The starting rate for a Zephyria Yachting charter in the popular Mediterranean port of Bodrum, Turkey, for a weeklong trip on a traditional wooden sailing boat known as a gulet is $15,750 for a party of four, including food and nonalcoholic beverages. During its first-ever Cyber Monday deal, Nov. 30, the price drops 20 percent on select boats during the season that runs from April through October.

Finally, consider investing in a decade of diversions at the upcoming LEGOLAND New York Resort , the new theme park expected to open in the Hudson Valley in 2021. It’s selling its 10-year pass at $1,999, or 60 percent off its $5,000 retail price, Nov. 26 to Dec. 1.

Black Friday 2022 is HERE and I am going to give you all the best TRAVEL DEALS Black Friday can offer this year. This article is a very no-frills, quick and informational list of all the best deals I already know of, could find, am already an affiliate of, or I thought you might like. These are all travel-related in some way, from travel itself to travel content creation to travel insurance.

G Adventures- 30% Off Group Tours

G Adventures is another one of the industry-leading and most trustworthy companies for group tours all over the world. This year they are offering a whopping 30% discount on tons of their highly rated trips in EVERY destination BEFORE April 30! LastMinute.com Price-Based Discounts on Flights and Hotels

LastMinute.com is a great UK-based hub for last minute flight and hotel travel. This is a great chance to book your holiday on a female-founded platform.

Travel Content Creation Black Friday Deals

Here are deals on cameras, courses, and software to make your travel content look its best – or teach you how to make it look its best!

25% Off Adobe Lightroom + Creative Cloud

For travel creators out there or those who want to edit their travel photos like a pro, Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Lightroom are having 25% OFF sales on subscriptions for Black Friday 2022! Spirit is offering one-way fares from $20.21, including taxes and fees, for Cyber Monday. Book by 11:50 p.m. ET on Dec. 1. Travel from January 6, 2021–March 4, 2021.

Snag 99% off fares with Frontier's Cyber Monday Savings sale. Use promo code: CYBER. It's valid on flights Monday–Thursday and Saturdays. Buy your flights by Dec. 1 and fly by March 4, 2021.

Southwest's Cyber Monday Sale is offering one-way fares as low as $39 or 2,300 Rapid Rewards points (plus taxes and fees from $5.60) for travel between Jan. 5 and March 17, 2021. Book by Dec. 3. There are some blackout dates and not all markets are on sale.

Air Canada is running a few different Black Friday promotions, with most of them running through Cyber Monday, Nov. 30, 2020.

For those looking to purchase travel, the airline is offering an up to 20% discount on select economy, premium economy and business class base fares for travel through June 30, 2021.

Or, you can purchase points to use at a future time with a 50% bonus.

AirCanada's third promotion is the opportunity to earn up to 5,000 bonus Aeroplan points. Complete two offers, earn 500 bonus points; completing three offers will earn you 1,000 bonus points and going all in and completing four offers will earn you the full 5,000 bonus points.

Lufthansa is kicking off its Cyber Monday promotion early where you can receive $100 off your next flight for trips through Oct. 31, 2021. Just book by midnight on Nov. 30, 2020.

Virgin Atlantic

If you are in the market for an international flight, Virgin Atlantic's Black Friday promotion is one you will not want to miss.

For flights booked between Nov. 23 and Nov. 30, 2020, you can get 50% off all reward seats on the Virgin Atlantic network. Best of all, you can travel all the way through Oct. 20, 2021. If you don't have enough Virgin Points in your account at the moment, keep in mind that you can earn them fairly easily. For example, you can transfer American Express Membership Rewards points at a 1:1 rate. Alternatively, as part of its Black Friday sale, Virgin is offering 50% bonus points when you buy 5,000 Virgin Points or more. You can buy up to 100,000 Virgin Points per year.

Alternatively, if you are looking to pay for your flight, the airline is also offering discounted fares.

Iberia is encouraging travelers to start flying again with their Black Friday offers. These discounted fares are available through Dec. 1, 2020, and allow passengers to change the date of travel free of charge or to get a refund in the form of a voucher if you are affected by a list of circumstances.

Hawaiian Airlines

If a trip to Hawaii is in your future, Hawaiian Airlines just launched a Cyber Monday sale for select routes between the U.S. mainland and international.

Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific's Cyber Monday sale is here giving you the opportunity to save up to 50% off flights throughout Asia through Nov. 30, 2020.

Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is offering 10% off flights booked with promo code BLACKFRIDAY. Just book by Dec. 2, 2020, for travel through Sept. 30, 2021, for the extra savings. Keep in mind though that the discount will only apply to the base fare, and will not apply to carrier surcharges, taxes, or other fees.

TAP Air Portugal

Book any TAP Air Portugal long-haul flight departing the USA from now through the end of 2021 and get a 20% discount using the promo code: CYBER. The discount is valid on any eligible flight purchased from November 28–30. Note that all tickets issued during the promotion for travel by May 31, 2021, also include a free change.

• Save up to 30% off your next stay: Stay one night for 20% off, stay two nights for 25% off and stay three nights for 30% off. Must book between Nov. 16 and Dec. 30, 2020.
• Purchase at least 3,000 Choice Privileges points and receive up to a 40% bonus. Offer expires Dec. 1, 2020.
• Plan a Carnival cruise vacation and enjoy free prepaid gratuities. Just book your balcony stateroom by Nov. 25, 2020, and travel between March and Dec. 2021.

Radisson Hotels

Through Dec. 2, 2020, Radisson Rewards is rewarding its guests with a 100% bonus when you purchase points. You must purchase at least 5,000 points, with a maximum amount of 120,000 points per calendar year (prior to the bonus kicking in). This means you can ultimately purchase 240,000 points through this promotion — which will cost you $840. This brings the price down to 0.35 cents per point.

Additionally, for paid reservations made through Dec. 2, 2021, you can receive up to 25% off your stay of 2 or more nights . This is for travel between Dec. 14, 2020, and Dec. 31, 2021.

IHG Hotels & Resorts

Vail Resorts

Vail Resorts Hospitality properties are offering discounted lodging deals at the slopes this winter with rates starting at $195 per night. I personally searched through many lodging options and was able to find some great deals. Just make sure to book by Dec. 1, 2020.

Gaylord Hotels

While part of Marriott so you can use your Bonvoy points at its properties, the Gaylord Hotels chain is offering some compelling sales for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with up to 30% off stays in Denver, Nashville, Dallas and Orlando on select dates. Use promo code: 16C. You can also save up to 50% on holiday tickets to events like the I Love Christmas Movies interactive experience. Use code: CYBER20. You must book by Dec. 2 and stay by Jan. 3, 2021.

Westgate Resorts

For a limited time, you can book any Westgate Resorts property for 50% off. Through Dec. 1, Priceline will offer more than $5 million in travel deal email alerts and flash sales. To unlock special discounts and deals, travelers can sign up to become a Priceline VIP member . Becoming a member gives you access to special rotating deals, plus 1,000 lucky VIPs will receive a coupon for up to 99% off hotel Express Deals.

The following deals will be offered to VIPs +and Email Insiders:

• Starting on Monday, Nov. 23 at 5 a.m. ET through Nov. 27 at 4:59 a.m. ET, Priceline will offer new rotating deals for VIPS every six hours, plus 1,000 VIP email insiders will receive a coupon for up to 99% off hotel Express Deals.
• Starting on Friday, Nov. 27 at 5 p.m. ET, Priceline will offer new rotating deals for VIPs every six hours.
• Extended Black Friday will start on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 5 a.m. ET and Priceline will offer more rotating deals for VIPs every six hours.

CheapCaribbean.com is offering up to 75% off, with rates starting at $299, between Nov. 10 and Dec. 1, 2020. During the Black Friday and Cyber Monday timeframe (Nov. 27 through Dec. 1), you can receive up to an additional $250 off:

Caesars Entertainment

If Las Vegas, Atlantic City or Tahoe are in your future, Caesars Entertainment is offering a ton of deals on hotel rooms, attractions and even entertainment. With offers such as 45% off hotel rates, plus a $50 dining credit with three or more nights, $10 off attractions and 30% off shows, this is an offer you'll want to pay attention to. You can check out all of the deals here . Just keep in mind that some are available over the next week, while others are limited to just Cyber Monday or Travel Tuesday.

Car rental deals

On Cyber Monday, Hertz will launch its biggest sale of the year where customers can save up to 40% off the base rate when they reserve a vehicle and prepay on Hertz.com. This will be a 48-hour promotion for rentals picked up through Jan. 31, 2021.

Customers can save 25% off the base rate when they book a future rental on Nov. 30 through Dec. 1, 2020, on Dollar.com . This offer is valid on rentals picked up through Feb. 15, 2021.

Customers can save 20% off the base rate when they book a future rental on Nov. 30 through Dec. 1, 2020, on Thrifty.com . The offer is valid on rentals picked up through Feb. 15, 2021.

Cruise deals

Seabourn's "Black Friday Sale" will feature value-added benefits on select voyages from summer 2021 through winter/spring 2022 on every ship in the fleet, including the line's first ultra-luxury purpose-built expedition ship, Seabourn Venture. Guests can choose from many destination choices, including the Mediterranean, Alaska/British Columbia, Northern Europe, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Caribbean, South America, Antarctica, and more.

The Black Friday offer is available on all departures, all itineraries and all published voyage dates from 2021 through the newly released 2023 itineraries.

LEGOLAND New York had to postpone its summer 2020 grand opening due to COVID-19 but will be fully ready for opening day in 2021. To celebrate, it's offering a limited number of lifetime passes for sale. This will give you unlimited access (for 10 years) to the park, access to LEGOLAND parks in Florida and California, front of the line access to rides and attractions and more. Passes can be purchased between Nov. 26 and Dec. 1, 2020.

Priority Pass

If you are looking to purchase a Priority Pass membership , you can do so with up to a 40% discount. With that being said, many credit cards offer a Priority Pass membership as part of their benefits, so that might be a better option for you.

Bottom line

Put the turkey aside and make sure to pay attention to these pop-up travel deals. Some offers will be available during the entire week, while some might be for just the day or even limited to a few hours. Many of these flash-sales might also be limited deals and could sell out quickly, so you'll want to act fast. Some of these deals will be a great way to plan future travel at a big discount.

I asked experts how to save money on travel this holiday, and they had 3 warnings for anyone looking for a deal

• Prepackaged travel deals might seem like a good way to save, but they're not always cheaper.
• Just because a deal is good doesn't mean it's the best deal — be sure to comparison shop.
• Saving money isn't always worthwhile if your trip will be inconvenient or difficult to cancel.

Whenever I start planning a vacation for myself, I usually press the pause button once I see how much it's going to cost. The flight might seem reasonable but the costs for things like hotels, rental cars, excursions, and travel insurance start to add up.

My excitement toward booking a solo trip fades once I see how much of a dent it'll put in my travel credit card . The holiday season is a good time to score deals, and I like to explore what discounts I can get for 2024 trips on Black Friday — and Travel Tuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving when travel deals are often available.

I spoke with two travel experts so I could learn how to spot a good deal and avoid a bad one during the holiday season. Here were their best tips.

1. Look closely at travel package deals

One of the most popular travel deals that often pop up around the holiday season are full travel packages. These might include an overall discounted rate if you buy the flight, hotel, and rental car as part of a prepackaged offer. But Lindsay Myers , a travel expert, says that you might end up losing on big savings if you blindly buy one of these packages.

"Just because a package travel deal is advertised as the best deal offered, it might not be true," she says. "The price might be good, but do your research. There's a chance you can save even more if you book the car, hotel, and flight separately."

She recommends doing some investigation before buying a travel package. Look at the price of one-way flights and see if it is less money than buying a roundtrip fare. Plus, she says that during Black Friday sales, hotels often offer free nights if you book a longer stay (buy three nights and get the fourth free, for example).

"Head directly to the airline or hotel's website, or check other travel sites, and calculate how much the trip would cost without doing the package," she says. "You might save even more."

2. Don't settle for the first deal you find

When I'm in post-Thanksgiving shopping mode, I'm usually quick to scoop up deals, without looking around for better prices. If I see a low price on a hotel or flight, I instantly hit the buy now button.

Myers cautions me against that habit, because I might not end up with a good travel deal.

"Don't take the first price you see," she says. "Always cross reference. I go to my favorite travel search website, then always check on at least two more. You need to see what the going rate is and who has the best deals and options."

To set myself up for success, I bookmarked Trivago and Kayak as tools to help me make sure I'm getting the lowest price on travel packages, flights, rental cars, and hotel stays.

"Start looking now," Myers says. "This gives you the time and flexibility to compare deals as the weeks go on."

3. Inconvenient deals aren't good deals

I often make the travel mistake of booking deals that are extra cheap but not smart for my itinerary. For example, I'll book a hotel 15 miles away from where I will be spending the majority of my time because it's 30% off.

Travel expert Nadia Podrabinek emphasizes the importance of making sure a travel deal offers value for the money and not just a reduced price tag.

"Consider factors like accommodation location, included amenities, and cancellation policies," she says. "For instance, a deal may seem cheap, but if it's miles away from the city center and transportation costs are high, it might not be so economical after all."

How to budget for your dream trip this year

• IHG Hotels & Resorts : With 19 hotel brands across the world, including Holiday Inn and InterContinental, IHG is offering a 20 percent discount on bookings reserved through the IHG One Rewards app as part of its Cyber Sale. The promotion is valid until Nov. 28 for stays through March, April or August (depending on the location), according to the chain’s website .
• Priceline : Through Nov. 27, the online travel agency will feature varying discounts across several hotels around the world, including 40 percent off or more on Las Vegas hotels, 20 percent off or more on ski hotels and 35 percent or more on participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels when you bundle hotels with flights. Savings apply to bookings made by Nov. 24 or 27 — depending on the deal — on stays that apply through May or June, according to the website .
• Booking.com : The travel site will offer Black Friday deals through Nov. 28 on stays lasting until the end of next year. Discounts start at 30 percent off across various hotels and accommodations around the world. There’s also a 25 percent discount on rental cars and various attractions.
• Hopper : Through Travel Deal Tuesday discounts, the booking app will offer up to 50 percent off across more than 10,000 hotel properties around the world, with the biggest discounts for hotels in Bali and Madrid. Deals are available on Nov. 28. There are also discounts of up to 35 percent off across several cities and countries, including Paris, Miami and Rome, according to the site .
• Frontier Airlines : The budget airline is offering its 2024-25 GoWild! all-you-can-fly pass at their lowest established price of $499 as part of their Black Friday sale through Nov. 28.

Guided tours

• Exodus Adventure Travels : This company, which has been offering international travel experiences for the last 45 years, will take 20 percent off any guided group trip for its Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. The deals are good until Nov. 30 for departures between Dec. 1 and Sept. 30. This can apply to hiking, wildlife and biking adventures, according to the site .
• Holland America Line : The cruise line will discount up to 30 percent off their cruise-only launch fares on voyages departing after Dec. 1 for Black Friday deals. This excludes Grand Voyages, as well as bookings shorter than five days, and applies to select fares jetting through 2025. This deal ends Nov. 26.
• Norwegian Cruise Line : Until Nov. 26, Norwegian is offering half-price cruises. For a limited time, customers can also add five “Free at Sea” benefits , including unlimited open bars, specialty dining, shore excursions, WiFi and adding a third and fourth guest at a $99 rate on select sailings. .
• Samsonite : The luggage retailer is offering holiday discounts starting at 30 percent off across many of their suitcase, backpack and bundle sets, while supplies last. You could try utility backpacks that can safely fit your laptop and other valuable items or a three-piece luggage set that you can share with friends and family.

Rental cars

• Fox Rent a Car: Discounts of up to 55 percent off are available on all vehicle classes picked up between Jan. 1 and September of next year. This offer is available until Nov. 23.
