Jack Black and Kyle Gass, otherwise known as rock music icons Tenacious D, will bring their riff laden rock rollercoaster to The O2 on Friday 16 June 2023.

The acclaimed musical duo returns to London to showcase their rock greatness to their army of loyal fans.  This will be Tenacious D’s first show in the UK since 2019, their live experience is an energetic, rock rollercoaster of fun that will take fans on a journey of their exhilarating catalogue of classic hits.

Tenacious D have had a busy few months, with the release of a medley of songs from the rock musical, Tommy by The Who in support of Everytown For Gun Safety, as well as launching their own fibre bars in the US, Fibre D’Lish and doing what they love best, hitting the road for a string of sold out US dates.

About Tenacious D

Tenacious D had a variety series on HBO that aired in 1999, they went on to release their platinum self-titled album in the fall of 2001.  The duo completed their first feature film together – ‘Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny’ - for New Line Cinema, which was released in November, 2006 to critical acclaim followed by the album ‘Rize of the Fenix’ in 2012, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. In 2013 Black and Gass founded and hosted ‘Festival Supreme’, a music and comedy festival in Los Angeles, CA. In its first four years, ‘Festival Supreme’ boasted acts such as Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman, Flight of the Conchords, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Patton Oswalt, Eric Andre, Amy Poehler, Workaholics, & many more.  In 2014 they won a Grammy in the category of Best Metal Performance for their cover of Ronnie James Dio’s ‘The Last In Line’.  On November 2, 2018, Tenacious D released ‘Tenacious D in Post-Apocalypto’ – an animated film, with each frame hand-drawn by Black and every character voiced by Black and Gass. Alongside the film, the band also dropped the album ‘Post-Apocalypto’.  In September, 2020 - with great excitement - Tenacious D released the final piece to the Post-Apocalypto universe: ‘The Graphic Novel’.

In 2022 and beyond Tenacious D continue their quest to spread the message of rock n roll across the world and firmly retain their title as one of the greatest rock bands in the world.  Ever.

Tenacious D have announced the UK European dates of their 2024 Spicy Meatball Tour.

The Tribute rockers - made up of Jack Black and Kyle Gass - will head to this side of the pond in spring next year, visiting the likes of Dublin's 3Arena, Manchester's AO Arena and Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena.

Tenacious D will be coming to Resorts World Arena in May 2024.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the dynamic duo behind Tenacious D, formed the Greatest Band in the World in the late '90s in Los Angeles. Their journey includes a hit HBO variety series in 1999, a Platinum-certified self-titled album in 2001, and a feature film, "Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny," in 2006. Their 2012 album, "Rize of the Fenix," earned a Grammy nomination. In 2013, they founded the Festival Supreme, a music and comedy festival in LA featuring top acts. Tenacious D also won a Grammy in 2014 for Best Metal Performance. In 2018, they released "Tenacious D in Post-Apocalypto," an animated film with a hand-drawn frame and accompanying soundtrack. A graphic novel completed the Post-Apocalypto universe in 2020.

In 2021-2022, they released cover songs for charity and launched a fiber bars line. They continued their creative streak with "Words + Music | Vol. 29 | Tenacious D’s The Road To Redunktion," an Audible Original featuring archival audio. In 2023, they rocked Las Vegas with sold-out shows, launched "The Spicy Meatball Tour," released a hit song "Video Games" and a viral cover of "Wicked Game." With 1 million Instagram followers, Tenacious D remains the Greatest Band That Ever Played on Planet Earth, selling out shows worldwide.

Our performance times are usually confirmed closer to the show. We’ll post the times as soon as we can get them, so check back about a week before for updates.

Seated: Under 14 year olds MUST be accompanied by an adult aged 18yrs + with a valid ticket, into the venue. (i.e. 14yrs and over can come into the building on their own with a valid ticket).

Standing: Under 14 year olds are not permitted on a standing floor. 14 and 15 year olds are only permitted on a standing floor when accompanied by an adult aged 18yrs +.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass play six shows next year

The self-professed Greatest Band That Ever Played on Planet Earth, Tenacious D , will embark on a six-date UK arena tour next year.

The ‘Tenacious D and the Spicy Meatball Tour’ opens at Resorts World Arena in Birmingham on Tuesday 7th May 2024 and visits Manchester AO Arena, Glasgow OVO Hydro, Leeds First Direct Arena and Nottingham Motorpoint Arena before culminating at Brighton Centre on Monday 13th May 2024.

The sextet of dates follows Jack Black and Kyle Gass’ rapturously received one-off UK show at London’s The O2 back in June.

Tickets to Tenacious D’s UK tour will be extremely high in demand when they go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 6th October.

Tenacious D announce 2023 European tour including London date

Tenacious D will close out their 2023 European summer tour with a headline date at The O2 in London.

After a year of being busy voicing Bowser for the new Super Mario Bros. film and just generally being wholesome , Jack Black will be returning to the UK and Europe next year alongside Kyle Gass for a Tenacious D tour.

The pair will cross the pond in summer 2023 to headline massive venues in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands, before wrapping up with a huge date at London’s The O2 on June 16. Of course, that final show is The D’s first UK show since their 2019 tour, which included a two-night stint at Wembley.

Tenacious D reveal support acts for ‘Spicy Meatball’ 2024 UK and European tour

Jack Black and Kyle Gass will be hitting the road next spring

Tenacious D have announced the acts who will be joining them as support for their upcoming UK and European tour.

Comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the duo shared news of an upcoming 2024 tour across the UK and Europe at the start of the month – dubbed the ‘Spicy Meatball Tour’.

Now, the band have announced the two special guests who will be joining them for the upcoming dates next spring – namely Crusade and Dave Hill.

“Please welcome our friends, Mr Dave Hill and Crusade, on the Spicy Meatball tour as we roll through Europe and the UK this spring!” the rock duo said in a new update .

Crusade – a progressive metal band from Tennessee – will be joining Black and Gass during their run of European shows, which will start at the end of April. Comedian and musician Dave Hill will open for the band for their run of UK shows the following month.

The 2024 tour launches with a stop in Stockholm on April 29, before continuing with dates in Oslo (30), Copenhagen (May 1) and Luxembourg (3).

From there, the duo will play a show in Dublin on May 5, before making stops at six UK cities including Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham and Brighton.

The ‘Spicy Meatball Tour’ will wrap up with a slot at the Accor Arena in Paris on May 15. Tickets are available now and you can find any remaining ones here .

Tenacious D played a show at The O2 in London this summer as part of their ongoing ‘Spicy Meatball Tour’, and have since performed gigs in North America.

Comedy rock duo Tenacious D have announced a batch of European and UK dates for summer 2023. As well as two dates in Germany via Hamburg and Berlin, Jack Black and Kyle Gass will play shows in Austria, Italy, Switzlerand, Belgium and The Netherlands, before finishing up with a show in the UK at the O2 Arena in London.

A statement given alongside the tour announcement reads: "In 2022 and beyond Tenacious D continue their quest to spread the message of rock n roll across the world and firmly retain their title as one of the greatest rock bands in the world.  Ever."

Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the dynamic duo behind Tenacious D, formed in the late '90s in Los Angeles. Their journey includes a hit HBO variety series in 1999, a Platinum-certified self-titled album in 2001, and a feature film, "Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny," in 2006. Their 2012 album, "Rize of the Fenix," earned a Grammy nomination. In 2013, they founded the Festival Supreme, a music and comedy festival in LA featuring top acts. Tenacious D also won a Grammy in 2014 for Best Metal Performance. In 2018, they released "Tenacious D in Post-Apocalypto," an animated film with a hand-drawn frame and accompanying soundtrack. A graphic novel completed the Post-Apocalypto universe in 2020.

In 2021-2022, they released cover songs for charity and launched a fibre bars line. They continued their creative streak with "Words + Music | Vol. 29 | Tenacious D’s The Road To Redunktion," an Audible Original featuring archival audio. In 2023, they rocked Las Vegas with sold-out shows, launched "The Spicy Meatball Tour," released a hit song "Video Games" and a viral cover of "Wicked Game."

Tenacious D announce European tour for June 2023

Jack Black and Kyle Gass, otherwise known as rock music icons  Tenacious D,  return to Europe this Summer for a run of shows that will include a stop at London’s The O2 on Friday, June 16 th , 2023.

The acclaimed musical duo returns to London to showcase their rock greatness to their army of loyal fans. This will be Tenacious D’s first show in the UK since 2019 when they played a run of sold-out shows that included two nights at Wembley Arena.

Their live experience is an energetic, riff-laden rock rollercoaster of fun that will take fans on a journey of their exhilarating catalogue of classic hits on this upcoming tour.  Tickets go on general sale Friday 4 th November at 10am via metropolismusic.com .

Tenacious D have had a busy few months with the release of a medley of songs from the rock musical, Tommy by The Who in support of Everytown For Gun Safety, as well as launching their own fibre bars in the US, Fibre D’Lish and doing what they love best, hitting the road for a string of sold-out US dates.

About Tenacious D

Tenacious D had a variety series on HBO that aired in 1999, they went on to release their platinum self-titled album in the fall of 2001.  The duo completed their first feature film together – ‘Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny’ – for New Line Cinema, which was released in November 2006 to critical acclaim followed by the album ‘Rize of the Fenix’ in 2012, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. In 2013 Black and Gass founded and hosted ‘Festival Supreme’, a music and comedy festival in Los Angeles, CA. In its first four years, ‘Festival Supreme’ boasted acts such as Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman, Flight of the Conchords, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Patton Oswalt, Eric Andre, Amy Poehler, Workaholics, & many more.  In 2014 they won a Grammy in the category of Best Metal Performance for their cover of Ronnie James Dio’s ‘The Last In Line’.  On November 2, 2018, Tenacious D released ‘Tenacious D in Post-Apocalypto’ – an animated film, with each frame hand-drawn by Black and every character voiced by Black and Gass. Alongside the film, the band also dropped the album ‘Post-Apocalypto’.  In September 2020 – with great excitement – Tenacious D released the final piece to the Post-Apocalypto universe: ‘The Graphic Novel’.

Cult comedy duo from Los Angeles, Tenacious D became one of the biggest stars of the 90s and 00s, spawning a television show, several albums and a Hollywood blockbuster.

Jack Black (born August 28th, 1969) and Kyle Gass (born July 40th 1960) are certainly an unlikely pair for rock stardom. But with their inspired songwriting, witty humor and boundless energetic charisma, the pair have forged their way into rock history. Their rock-parodies, with Black's absurd comedic vocals alongside Gass' acoustic guitar talents have made them into a household name, with their debut album achieving Platinum certification.

Having met at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, both travelling with LA's theatre troupe, 'The Actors' Gang,' they decided to form a band, initially performing covers of Bobby McFerrin songs. Having worked on a collection of songs, they recorded a demo, which managed to secure a TV show with HBO in 1997. The project was short-lived but it helped gain further attention.

In May 2000, the duo signed to Epic Records, releasing their self-titled debut album in 2001, which peaked at number 33 on the Billboard 200. The band used the drumming talents of Nirvana's Dave Grohl on the record and all recordings thereafter. The album has slowly built in its success, becoming a cult hit, with the song "Tribute" and its accompanying video becoming a massive hit.

Having completed the screenplay in 2003, Tenacious D went on to release their film, "The Pick Of Destiny" in 2006, with its accompanying soundtrack. Whilst the film flopped, the soundtrack reached number eight on the Billboard Charts in the US and number 10 in the UK charts.

After several tours and successful mainstay performance at 2008's Reading and Leeds Festival, Tenacious D returned to the studio and recorded "Rize of the Fenix," released in 2012 to positive critical acclaim.

Live reviews

Tenacious D - the kings of gross-out comedy rock - are a strange proposition, on paper at least. Jack Black, of course, has now long been established as a Hollywood star, but this musical project, which dates back to the nineties, is clearly a labour of love for him and his partner, Kyle Gass. Their 2011 comeback record, Rise of the Fenix, provided a clear indication of two things - one, that Black’s enthusiasm for the D hasn’t been diminished by his time rubbing shoulders with A-listers, and two, that he hadn’t forgotten what his audience want either.

Take their live show, for instance; the full band setup means there’s no shortage of genuinely impressive musicianship - especially now that the unplayably complex ‘Master Exploder’, previously mimed, has been dropped from the set - but the duo are also clearly aware that the crowd are coming to laugh as well as listen. They’ve been accompanied on their most recent tour by an inflatable Fenix mascot - which looks suspiciously like something else - and set highlights include a re-enactment of the ‘Beelzeboss’ final showdown from The Pick of Destiny, as well as a rendition of the wonderfully self-aware ‘The Ballad of Hollywood Jack and Rage Kage’. And to close proceedings, they’ve got one of the greatest singalongs in recent rock history up their sleeves - ‘Tribute’.

Tenacious D, the brain child of Jack Black and Kyle Gass began as something of a crude in-joke between friends that appears to have rapidly span out of control much to the delight of their global fan base. A strange combination of comedy and rock which only Black and Gass could really pull off, their albums have been slowly rising up the charts and as a result the stages have been ever-increasing in size.

The crowd waits in hushed anticipation chattering about the show they are about to witness, for those who have not seen the duo before there is heated discussion about the balance between comedy and rock. The band definitely seems intent on making the crowd laugh as opposed to mosh during the likes of 'Dude (I Totally Miss You)' and crass opener 'Kickapoo'.

They have the added benefit of the confidence that comes with being comedians when performing as they are totally at home onstage and have no issue baying the audience, or indeed victimising certain members with their humour. By the finale of 'Double Team' the audiences hands are sore from clapping and their cheeks sore from laughing thunderously.

I love Tenacious D and have seen them before and had a great time. This performance was entirely different . It was basically a series of animations shown on big screens, which took up most of the show, with brief interludes where The D performed

We left early as it was so disappointing, but I saw no interaction with the crowd, and it felt like JB and KG didnt even want to be there.

Very fun and entertaining show! Don't bring children, saw a few people that did and I definitely questioned their parenting abilities.

Sit or stand where you can see the entire screen covering the stage. The first third or half of the show was an animated movie based on their newest album with them playing songs, interspersed throughout, from behind the projector screen. We made the mistake of only being able to see the front area of the stage and missed seeing most that first part. Sounded good though!

Tenacious D was as energetic and ridiculous as expected. Jables and Rage Kage are very talented musicians, sounded amazing live, and we thoroughly enjoyed the show!

This band is amazing, this venue is amazing, the night was perfect. I can wish for drinks to be cheaper, to not have to drop $40 to feel buzzed, but that's how concerts are... We got some merch before the show, the line kept moving. Nice that it wasn't as big a venue as last time I saw Tenacious D at CalJam. The opening act was ok, I get that their founding member is part of Tenacious D so they want to support him, but it really wasn't everyone's jam. I was surprised Tenacious D played almost the entirety of Apocalypto straight through. Then, of course, their greatest hits afterward. The projection storytelling was awesome.

This being the second time my wife and I saw The D on this tour, they did not disappoint at all!!! Jables and Kage always put on a hell of a show, keeping the audience constantly entertained and hyped up. I will forever remember this show: from watching the opening band Wynchester to The D's encore song of "F.H.G"!!! I will see them each and every time they come near. Even if I have to travel to the Red Rock's again or the Bomb Factory, I will do it. If you are questioning whether or not to see this band live, don't hesitate, just buy the ticket and be prepared to have your face melted to sh*t.

T'was sweaty, fat and beardy. Amazing voice on JB. Great time had by all...except that guy that OD'd in the crowd during the opening Wynchester set. Think he was alright eventually but scared the bejesus out of a lot of ppl. Think the paramedics could have gotten to him quicker then they did. Venue not very organized (took over 10 minutes to attend to him laying out cold on the floor). Come on guys.

Once the whole Apocalypto thing was over it was a fine concert. I felt very ripped off that they played so much of that video, you can see the whole thing online so I don't want to see it live. Really took away a lot of the magic of the experience for me. Once they finished that though, it was a great show.

Truly the BEST BAND IN THE WORLD.

They recently completed the first leg of the Spicy Meatball tour, selling out venues like the O2 in a matter of hours across 24 cities. EXCLUSIVE : UTA has signed popular comedy band Wolves of Glendale for representation in all areas.

Founded in 2022, and boasting a sizable following on social media, the band consists of Ethan Edenburg on guitar, Eric Jackowitz on drums and Tom McGovern on keys. They got their start when McGovern moved west, after a long stint playing piano bars in New York, and linked up with Edenburg and Jackowitz, who were searching for the missing piece in their trio. The first day they sat down together, they knew they had something special, as they wrote their hit song, “Vapin’ in Vegas.”

Previously, The Wolves have also opened for David Cross and pop band Jukebox the Ghost. After playing Netflix Is a Joke Fest in 2022, they’re set to return this year, performing to a sold-out audience at The Hollywood Improv on May 8th at 9:45 PM. This summer, they’ll also be performing at top festivals Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.

Recently wrapping their first sold-out national tour, The Wolves’ debut, self-titled album was produced by John Spiker of Tenacious D, as well as Doja Cat collaborator Rian Lewis. Future tour dates to be announced at the end of next month.

The Wolves of Glendale will continue to be managed by Levity Talent.
