Award Winning Tour
Giant's Causeway Tour
Daily Tours to Giant's Causeway
2022 TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award Winner!
Tour departs daily at 8.30am (returns at approx 6pm)
McComb's Travel offers visitors to Northern Ireland the longest established tour to what is commonly called "The eighth wonder of the world". Travel in one of our award winning coaches along the Causeway Coastal Route for a fun filled day!
Why choose us?
- Ours is THE most comprehensive tour from Belfast, with the most stops
- We have the most modern & comfortble coaches, meaning you enjoy the tour in both safety and comfort
- We're the original Giant's Causeway Tour Company - we created this tour almost 30 years ago!
- Our driver/guides are the most experienced there are - some in our driving seat for more than 20 years!
Enjoy the first stop of the day at Carrickfergus Castle , before travelling onward along the Causeway Coastal Route , stopping off at lovely places like Carnlough and the Caves at Cushendun . We'll move along what has been voted one of the "Top 5 Scenic Drives in the World", where you'll also see towns and villages like Glenarm, Ballygally, Balllycastle, the Glens of Antrim, Cushendall & much more.
We'll stop off at Portaneevy View Point to get some Instagram worthy photos of the iconic Carrick-a-rede Ropebridge - we hope you've a head for heights!
You'll be ready for a rest by now at our lunch venue - The Fullerton Arms in Ballintoy, where there's a tastly pub grub style lunch on offer (payable locally).
The highlight of the tour is definately a visit to Giant’s Causeway , Irelands only World Heritage Site. Spend some time climbing over the ancient stones, snapping some photos, and enjoying the myths and legends that surround this world famous attraction.
We then re-board our luxury coach, and make our way to along the coast, for a short stop at the breathtaking ancient ruins of Dunluce Castle .
For the Whiskey lovers onboard, we will visit Ireland's Oldest Licenced Whiskey Distillery - Old Bushmills ! There will be time to visit their gift shop, which offers Whiskey only available to buy at Bushmills, or have a tipple or two in the Whiskey Bar.
Our final stop of the day is at the iconic Dark Hedges . Made famous by it's appearance as The Kings Road in Game of Thrones, this picture perfect location ends the tour on a high!
All that then remains to be done is to sit back and relax on the comfortable journey back to Belfast (arrives back at around 6pm depending on the time of year) in one of our award winning luxury coaches.
This really is a must take tour, and with the combination of our luxury coaches, experienced and friendly tour guides, and wonderful attractions, you'd be mad to miss it!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: There is some walking on what are sometimes uneven surfaces during this tour, and it therefore requires moderate fitness levels. Please come dressed appropriately for not only the season, but also for the activity. While it is always our intention to visit all of the locations listed, if there is an unforeseeing event which means it is not possible to stop at them we may have to adjust the itinerary accordingly. Your driver will always give priority to your safety, and access for the coach without causeing any loss or damage.
Please Also Note: Unfortunately we cannot currently pre-book entry tickets for the visitor centre at Giant's Causeway. You will be able to visit the Giant's Causeway stones Free of Charge (we think that's the best part anyway)!! The National Trust have also made the decision to no longer allow any coaches to visit Carrick-a-rede Ropebridge, therefore we will instead have a Photo Stop at the Portaneevy Viewing Point.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
The tour guide was particularly good. He had a good clear voice and was very informative. Will recommend the tour to any visitors we may have in the future.
First class tour , tour guide gave an unforgettable, hugely informative commentary from start to finish. Extremely funny and very witty it was a shame it had to finish.
Paul the live guide was fantastic! He was a scream! Really informative, very funny and an excellent singer/entertainer! We all really enjoyed it! Well worth it.
The driver was very knowledgeable and made the tour really light hearted. The only way to see a city before you pick what you'd like to go back and see in more.
I can’t remember the name of our tour guide but he was indeed the greatest tour guide ever. Knowledgeable, hilarious, not shy, entertaining and educational.
Very interesting and very informative, every different tour guides insight and information. We truly enjoyed the hop on hop off bus and the employees were very kind.

Best tour company in Belfast
This is the best tour company you could find in Belfast. Professional, transparent, friendly and top in customer service. Steven was our driver . He was very professional and so knowledgeable about everything. We had other tours along the other destinations but Belfast was the highlight because of you guys., if I could be able to put more stars I will definitely do it. Thank you for making our trip memorable.
Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. This far exceeded any possible expectations. We learned so much and would love to attend another tour provided by our guide.
I had a group of 35 for this shore excursion and everything was just perfect. Martin was our guide and he was wonderful. Giants Causeway is breathtaking. I would recommend them to everyone.
Jim was a great driver and guide, and the half size coach was comfortable as promised. We had the right amount of time at each stop. A very enjoyable day. My only disappointment was not being able to go across the rope bridge. It was frustrating to see it from above but not to be able to visit it.
Thank you for your review Delighted to hear you enjoyed your tour with us. The rope bridge is not on our itinerary as the National Trust does not permit tour buses on to the site. We state this on our website. Thank you
Went with my wife on the 8th September, weather was fantastic, 25 degrees but coach was comfortable due to the AC. Paul the driver was great throughout, explaining the sites along the way and striking up a good rapport with the tour group. Carnlough and the harbour was well worth a visit. The stop for views over the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge was fantastic would have liked to walk over it but they don't allow coach tours down to the start point. They also charge £15 to cross it which is a bit of a rip off Highlight of the tour was the Giant's Causeway, plenty of time to explore the basalt columns and have a drink and bite to eat at the onsite Restaurants. The view down to Dunluce castle was Ok but would have liked more time to explore the ruins The visit to the Dark Hedges was interesting, especially for Gane of Thrones fans as this as this was the film site for the Kings Road in the series The visit to the Bushmills distillery was a non event for me as there wasn't enough time for a tour only a visit to the bar and gift shop, I would rather have spent time in the village of Bushmills instead Overall the tour exceeded my expectations, with the smaller 24 seater bus preferred to the larger coach tours. Definitely recommend this tour with Odyssey
Great tour, nice to be on a smaller bus with more spacious seats. Saw everything we wanted to on the trip

Things to do in belfast.
Modern Belfast is a vibrant cultural hub and a party town to boot. Belfast is also a city that makes the most of its heritage: restoring Victorian architecture and adding incredible new attractions like Titanic Belfast, which help tell Belfast’s story in inventive and compelling ways.
Titanic Belfast
Even the monumental and distinctive building of Titanic Belfast looks like the massive Whitestar Liner that famously sunk in 1912. The museum makes full use of the senses as a combination of images, animated projections and soundtracks chart how the miraculous ship was built in the then-revolutionary shipyards of Belfast.
There’s a clever blend of technologies too: from actual reconstructions of passenger accommodation through to 3D computer modelling of the Titanic from top to bottom. While you’re there, check out the massive slipway that was used to launch the unsinkable ship and don’t miss boarding the SS Nomadic, the sole surviving Whitestar Line ship.
Crumlin Road Gaol
Perhaps one of the world’s few jails that people queue to get into, Crumlin Road Gaol is an atmospheric, eerie experience well worth a visit. Although opened in 1846, ‘The Crum’ was still used as an active prison until 1996.
The cramped cells of this Victorian prison have hosted celebrity cellmates including later Irish leader Eamon de Valera and suffragette Dorothy Evans. Join a tour to get a fascinating account of local history from a knowledgeable guide, before swinging by the gallows.
Check before going and you might have the opportunity to catch a concert or get on their Paranormal tour.
Ulster Museum
The size and variety of exhibits at Ulster Museum make a proper visit difficult to squeeze into just one day. The collection ranges from items retrieved from the wreck of a 16th-century Spanish galleon to a 2,500 year old Egyptian mummy.
There are also Bronze Age Celtic artefacts and Neolithic axe heads found in the local area. The Nature Zone on the second floor includes a section of a 2 million-year-old fossilised seabed, while art lovers should head to the top floors for an impressive gallery featuring Irish and European paintings.
Crown Liquor Saloon
If you fancy an authentic pint of Guinness or even just a coffee in historic settings, there are few better spots in Belfast than the famous Crown Liquor Saloon. The pub is decked out in high Victoriana fashion, with cosy snugs, fine marble and Italian tiles.
You’ll also find interesting features and fittings, including gunmetal plates that were actually brought back as loot from The Crimean War. Hungry visitors won’t be disappointed, as their menu includes Irish stew as well as a dizzying array of sausages and lamb chops.
