TREASURE Announces Dates And Cities For First Asia Tour "HELLO"

TREASURE is coming to Asia in 2023!

On December 28, YG Entertainment revealed that TREASURE will be embarking on their first Asia tour “2023 TREASURE Tour HELLO,” a continuation of their previous concerts that took place at KSPO Dome in Seoul and their Japan arena tour.

The Asia leg of their tour will be coming to seven cities and will consist of a total of eight concerts. The tour will be kicking off in Taipei on March 4, then move on to Kuala Lumpur on March 11. The group will spend two days in Jakarta on March 18 and 19, then go to Bangkok on April 1, followed by Singapore on April 8. Their final two stops will be Manila on April 15 and Macau on April 22.

A pre-sale for tickets will be held for fans who have purchased the TREASURE MAKER membership and have completed the registration for the pre-sale on Weverse. Notices for ticket purchases for each city will be announced later, and details for the performances can be found on the official website.

Fans can anticipate nothing short of excellence from TREASURE through their newest tour, the group already having shown themselves to be stellar performers in their two solo concerts and tour of Japan as well as their diverse stages that have been performed at various year-end awards ceremonies.

In the meantime, TREASURE will be continuing on their tour in Japan, having kicked off their concerts in Hokkaido last month and successfully completed 19 performances in five cities, including Fukui, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Kobe. They are scheduled to perform in Tokyo and Saitama and will perform at Kyocera Dome in Osaka on January 28 and 29.

Will TREASURE be coming to a city near you? Stay tuned for future updates!

Wow. what a night.

Review of Bangkok Night Lights Tuk Tuk Tour Far exceeded our expectations! Unbelievably good value! There were 2 of us and 5 others. Jib was right there at the meeting place and full of fun ready to guide us. Remembering all our names she travelled in one of the 4 Tuk Tuks with us as we navigated traffic in convoy. We stopped at markets and sampled food as Jib gave us a knowledgeable commentary then back into the Tuk Tuk for another exhilarating ride to the many highlights of Bangkok. Our delightful driver dropped us back at our hotel which was a real bonus.

Nomadic Matt: Travel Cheaper, Longer, Better

Visiting Bangkok: My Suggested 3-5 Day Itinerary

Beautiful temple in Bangkok

When people tell me they hate Bangkok and don’t find a lot of things to do there, I totally understand. It’s a love/hate city that most people aren’t a fan of on arrival.

In fact, when I first visited Bangkok in 2006, I despised the city and couldn’t wait to leave.

It wasn’t until I lived in Bangkok that I really fell in love with it .

A decade and a half later, Bangkok is still one of my favorite cities in the world.

It just takes a little time to get to know and love.

Bangkok is not a city that opens itself up easily, and most people spend just a day or two here before leaving to go to the islands or the jungle .

That said, there are a lot of things to do and see in Bangkok . Cheap things, expensive things, unique things, and outdoor things. Bangkok has a bit of everything.

To help you plan your trip and make the most of your visit, below is my suggested itinerary for Bangkok. It will help you tackle this sprawling, hectic city in a way that gets you on and off the beaten track so you can peel back the onion that is Bangkok and discover why I love it so much.

Bangkok Itinerary

Day 1 : Grand Palace, Khao San Road, & more!

Day 2 : Floating Market, Muay Thai Fight, & more!

Day 3 : Chatuchak Weekend Market, Lumpini Park, & more!

Day 4 : Bangkok Art and Culture Center, National Museum, & more!

Bangkok Itinerary: Day One

The stunning exterior of the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand on a bright and sunny day

Afterward, wander down the street to Wat Pho and the famous reclining Buddha (as well as the famous Golden Buddha). It’s the largest reclining Buddha statue in the country at 46 meters (150 feet) long. The Wat Pho complex fills a city block so while seeing the statues doesn’t take long, you could spend a solid hour wandering the maze-like temple grounds.

Next, head across the river to Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn). This is a gorgeous Buddhist temple on the Chao Phraya River opposite the Grand Palace. It has one main spire and four small ones and is so iconic that it’s on Thai money. From the top of the main spire, you get to see sweeping views of the city. It’s my favorite temple in Bangkok.

If you want a deep-dive into the temple and palace, take a guided tour . You’ll learn about the history of each temple and the palace from an expert local guide who can answer all your questions and provide a much more nuanced experience.

Note: When visiting these places, be sure to wear clothes that cover your legs and shoulders; it’s considered disrespectful to wear revealing clothes. That means no short skirts, no tank tops, nothing that shows your stomach, and no ripped pants.

The Grand Palace is located on Na Phra Lan Road; royalgrandpalace.th/en/home. Open daily 8:30am-3:30pm. Admission is 500 THB.

Wat Pho is located on 2 Sanamchai Road, Grand Palace Subdistrict, +66 083-057-7100, watpho.com/en. Open daily from 8am–6:30pm. Admission is 200 THB.

Wat Arun is across the river at 158 Wang Doem Road, +66 2 891 2185. Open daily 8am–6pm. Admission is 200 THB.

Cruise on the river in Bangkok, Thailand with a historic temple across the river in the background

My favorite temples are:

Wat Saket – The Golden Mount has an enormous, 100-meter-high, 500-meter wide chedi (mound-like structure containing Buddhist relics). This is one of my favorite temples in the city because of its beautiful golden temple and wonderful views of the city from its top. At the base of the mountain is an overgrown cemetery for 18th-century plague victims. Open daily 9am-7pm. Admission to the temple is free while the chedi costs 50 THB.

Wat Benchamabophit – This temple is pictured on the back of the 5-baht coin. The white marble used to contrast the building was imported directly from Italy, and there is a unique blend of both Thai and European architecture and design. In the courtyard, there are 53 Buddha images representing every mudra (gesture) and style from Thai history. This makes it a good place to visually see how Buddha has been represented in Thailand over time. Open daily 8:30am-5:30pm. Admission is 20 THB.

Just make sure your tuk-tuk driver doesn’t take you shopping along the way — drivers get kickbacks if they bring customers into certain shops. Ask your hotel/hostel staff for a reputable driver; they will likely know someone.

The lively, bustling, and crowded street of Khao San Road in Bangkok, Thailand at night

Bangkok Itinerary: Day Two

The famous Floating Market in Bangkok, Thailand with lots of small boats selling goods to tourists

I love the chaos, the smells, and the little ladies cooking and selling you various treats as they paddle by you. (You never leave hungry.)

Blurred traffic and bright lights in Chinatown at night in Bangkok, Thailand

Here’s a list of the best malls in the city:

  • Terminal 21 (88 Sukhumvit Road 19, +66 2 108 0888, terminal21.co.th)
  • MBK Center (444 Phayathai Road, mbk-center.co.th)
  • Siam Paragon (991/1 Rama I Road, siamparagon.co.th)
  • Emporium (622 Sukhumvit Road, emporium.co.th)
  • CentralWorld (999/9 Rama I Road, centralworld.co.th)

Muay Thai Fighting

You can also catch fights at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, which seats up to 5,000 people, on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Between the two stadiums, there are fights going on every night of the week.

1 Ratchadamnoen Nok Rd, +66 2 281 4205, rajadamnern.com. Tickets start at 1,500 THB.

Bangkok Itinerary: Day Three

The massive and colorful weekend market in Bangkok, Thailand lit up at night

Kamphaeng Phet 2 Rd, +66 2 272 4813, chatuchakmarket.org. Open Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm.

The wooden exterior of Jim Thompson's House in a quiet area of Bangkok, Thailand

When he returned to private industry after the war, he almost single-handedly revitalized Thailand’s sinking silk industry. He made his home in the traditional Thai style, decorating it with beautiful teak wood and a surrounding garden. The tours feature a lot of history about Jim, the silk industry, and how and why Thais design their homes the way they do.

1 Khwaeng Wang Mai, +66 2 216 7368, jimthompsonhouse.com. Open daily 10am-6pm. Admission is 200 THB.

The green, lush grass and trees of the sprawling Lumpini Park in Bangkok, Thailand

192 Wireless Rd, +66 2 252 7006. Open daily 4:30am-10pm.

Hang with the Hipsters on Soi Nana There are two areas in Bangkok called Soi Nana (one is a sex tourism hub), but the Soi Nana I’m referring to is a hip area for nightlife near the train station in Chinatown. This street is filled with tiny bars, cocktail lounges, and art exhibits in old-style Chinese homes left in their original style.

Some of the best bars are Pijiu (Chinese beer bar), Teens of Thailand (first gin bar in Thailand), Ba Hao (four-floor Chinese-inspired bar), El Chiringuito (Spanish tapas), and 23 Bar & gallery (bar in an art space). It’s incredibly popular with young Thais and one of the coolest new areas of Bangkok. Don’t miss it.

Bangkok Itinerary: Day Four

The exterior of the small National Museum in Bangkok, Thailand

Na Phra That Alley, +66 2 224 1333, virtualmuseum.finearts.go.th/bangkoknationalmuseums/index.php/th. Open Wednesday-Sunday 9am-4pm. Admission is 200 THB.

Delicious Thai food in Bangkok

And for cooking classes, a half-day cooking class (including a market visit) costs around 1,345 THB. They’re a fun way to learn about the cuisine while learning new skills and recipes you can try when you get home.

Enjoy an event at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center This contemporary arts center highlights and hosts art, music, theater, film, design, and cultural events in its exhibition and performance spaces. Opened in 2007, the BACC hosts cultural events in its exhibition and performance spaces. There is also an art library, cafe, gallery, craft shop, and book store here too. In a city that lacks a real art scene, this is an enriching place to see some local art. Check the website to see what’s going on during your visit.

939 Rama I Road, +66 2 214 6630-8, en.bacc.or.th. Open Tuesday-Sunday 10am-9pm. Admission is free though events cost money. See the website for pricing and tickets.

Other Things to See and Do in Bangkok

The famous and historic temples of Ayutthaya near Bangkok, Thailand

Museum of Siam This museum uses a variety of media to explore the origins of the Thais and their culture. Opened in 2007, there are displays, movies, and multimedia that cover culture, history, Buddhism, war, and the making of modern Thailand. It’s an interactive and educational little museum housed in an old 19th-century European-style building that not a lot of tourists visit.

4 Maha Rat Rd, +66 2 225 2777. Open Tuesday-Sunday 10am-6pm. Admission is 100 THB.

Wakeboard at Lake Taco If you want to get out of the city and have some adventure, head to the outskirts of Bangkok for some wakeboarding (riding on a short board while being pulled by a motorboat). This is a popular thing to do with expats and though I never did it, my friends always said it was a fun time. The lake is just 40 minutes away so it’s an easy activity to do whenever you need a break from the city.

thaiwakepark.com. A two-hour ticket at Lam Luk Ka starts at 850 THB.

Calypso Ladyboy Show This ladyboy show is actually a good cabaret show that attracts a variety of visitors. It’s Bangkok’s version of Moulin Rouge. There’s glitz, glamour, and spectacle — everything you’d expect from a cabaret show in Bangkok. Calypso Cabaret, founded in 1988, is the best place to see a show in the city. Playhouse Cabaret and Golden Dome Cabaret are two other reputable venues that host fun performances as well.

2194 Charoenkrung 72-76 Road, Warehouse #3, +66 2 688 1415-7, calypsocabaret.com. Performances are at 7:45pm and 9:30pm and tickets start at 900 THB.

Day Trip to Ayutthaya Ayutthaya (pronounced ah-you-tah-ya) was founded around 1350 and was the second capital of Thailand (it was the capital before it relocated to Bangkok). Unfortunately, the city was destroyed in 1767 by a Burmese attack and there are only ruins and a few temples and palaces still left standing.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s home to the summer palace and tons of breathtaking and unique temples. Since it’s so close to Bangkok, it’s a very popular day-trip destination for tours.

While lots of companies offer trips, it’s so easy to get to that you should simply go on your own by train. Train tickets cost 90-130 THB round-trip, with the journey taking 1.5 hours each way.

To really learn more, take a guided tour . They’re just 1,300 THB and are a great way to learn about this UNESCO site.

Contrary to popular belief, there’s more to see and do in Bangkok than just temples, shopping, and traffic. It’s a city whose charm emerges slowly once you get off the beaten path.

While you can see the highlights in a couple of days, with four or five days you can start to peel back the layers of this chaotic city and start to see why Bangkok really is one of the best destinations in the world.

Best Tours of Bangkok

Mercado flotante en Bangkok|© Frida Aguilar Estrada

Thailand has been the most popular destination in recent years for young tourists. Bangkok, the capital of this country , has become the most visited city thanks to the variety of destinations and activities it offers. Its official name is Krung Thep Mahanakhon.

Among so many options to enjoy the best things Bangkok has to offer , I recommend tours. You will find a variety of options that will help you get around the city and not miss anything. You can also enjoy the good Thai food .

1. Private guide in Bangkok and surroundings: personalized tour

If you are a well-informed tourist, you probably have several destinations in mind that you want to explore. If so, I recommend you to hire a private guide and show him your places of interest. This way this professional will take you directly to the sites you want . This type of tours usually have an average cost of 60 € and a duration of approximately eight hours.

Among the sites that are usually included in these tours include the Grand Palace and the floating market . You can even visit Bangkok's lively neighborhoods and sample the local food. Please note that everything you consume during the tour is at your own expense. In addition, it is common that the tourist also offers food to his guide.

On the other hand you can visit the best temples of the city among which are Wat Po and Wat Arun . Other sites you can include are the Jim Thompson House, Khaosan Road and more. Entrance to museums and temples should be at your own expense, as well as transportation.

You should also consider that this type of tour does not include private transportation , but that your guide will tell you which public transportation to take. Also, you will have to walk especially if the sites you will visit are close to each other.

Details of interest

  • Price : about 60 €.
  • Duration : about 8 h.
  • Means of transport : you will take public transport and walk around the city.
  • Advantages of this option : you will be able to walk around the city visiting the sites you prefer and your guide will accompany you at all times.
  • Disadvantages of this option : it is better to do a little more research before hiring this service, so you will know which sites you should visit. However, you can ask your guide to point out the best options.

2. Bangkok by night: temples, markets and food in a tuk tuk

Among the best things to do at night in Bangkok is a tour in a tuk tuk . This type of tour has an average cost of 75 € and lasts approximately four hours. To start you must meet your guide at the station that he/she indicates. Usually it is the Krung Thonburi, at the exit of the Green Line.

The first thing you will do on a night with this type of tour is to get on a tuk-tuk . This is a motorized tricycle very popular in different Asian countries. On board this vehicle you will be able to see the city, its temples and skyscrapers illuminated.

With this means of transportation, you will visit different destinations such as markets, palaces and even the hectic streets of Chinatown . There you can find places to eat authentic Thai fast food and even enjoy a delicious dessert. At all times your guide will tell you important details and facts about all the places you visit.

Please note that this tour does not include entrance to the different temples , but they are on your own. At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to the starting point or to the nearest public transportation station to the hotel where you are staying.

  • Price : about 75 €.
  • Duration : about 4 h.
  • Means of transport : tuk tuk.
  • Advantages of this option : you will be able to experience Bangkok at night and one of its most popular transports.
  • Disadvantages of this option : the entrance fee to the visited sites is not included.

3. Market tour with cooking class plus lunch or dinner

Do you like Thai food? If your answer was yes, you should sign up for this tour with cooking class in Bangkok . There is no better way to learn about a culture than through its cuisine . These types of experiences usually have an average cost of 40 € and an approximate duration of four hours.

Food tours in Bangkok are the order of the day. However, to make them more interesting, cooking classes are included. To start this tour, the first thing you will do is meet your guide and your group at a specific location in the city. From there you can head to the nearest market .

There your guide and chef will tell you what ingredients to buy. You will be fascinated to see all the stores and ingredients you can choose from. Then it will be time to go to the kitchen where the magic will happen. You can choose from a list of 20 dishes the five that catch your attention. These include pineapple fried rice, green curry and sweet and sour chicken, among others.

Once you choose what you are going to prepare, the chef will give you the instructions you need. When you are finished you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner , depending on the time of day you take this tour. This will be a great moment to share with other tourists before returning to your hotel or continuing to enjoy the city.

  • Price : around 40 €.
  • Means of transport : walking tour.

4. Floating and railway market, coconut and salt workshop in Bangkok

Have you ever seen a floating market, well in Bangkok you will! Your guide will take you to see them and you will also learn how some of the coconut and salt workshops in this city work . This whole experience has an average cost of 40 € and lasts approximately seven hours.

A tour of the floating markets of Bangkok is a must on your visit to this city. To tour them you must meet your guide at a pre-arranged point. This person will tell you which transport to take to get to the place where you should get on a boat that will take you to the Damnoen Saduak floating market .

You can take a boat ride and then walk around this market . Then it will be time to visit the railway market. Visiting these sites will allow you to learn about the local culture and see how the locals conduct themselves. You can also take home a souvenir for when you return home.

The last stops are usually the small workshops where coconut sugar and salt are made. You can have a tasting and learn about all the work these people do. At the end, your guide will take you back to the starting point or drop you off at the closest point to your hotel or your next destination.

  • Price : about 40 €.
  • Duration : approximately 7 h.
  • Means of transportation : boat and walking tour.
  • Advantages of this option : you will be able to see sites that are not found in other parts of the world.
  • Disadvantages of this option : if you feel dizzy traveling by boat, this may not be the best option for you.

5. Dinner cruise on Bangkok's Chao Phraya River

A Bangkok river cruise tour is a unique experience you must have in this city. This tour takes place on the Chao Phraya River and to get there you must meet your guide at a pre-arranged place. The average cost of this cruise is 50 € and has an average duration of three hours.

From the meeting point, your guide will take you to the pier where you will board a luxurious boat. You can sit in the comfortable seats or stroll along the deck and admire the city as the sun sets. As the ride progresses, your guide will point out the sites that can be seen from there. Highlights include the Temple of Dawn and the Grand Palace .

At one point during the tour you can enjoy the large Thai buffet included in this tour. You will be able to eat delicious dishes and even desserts at this amazing dinner. You will even have the chance to listen to the melodious music of a live band or local guest artists.

On this tour you will also pass under the Royal Barges National Museum Bridge , as well as The Riverfront Asiatique Museum and Phra Sumen Wat Rakang Kositaram Fort, among other sites. At the end, you will return to the pier so you can return to your hotel or continue to enjoy the night in Bangkok, with other vibrant plans.

  • Price : about 50 €.
  • Duration : about 3 h.
  • Means of transport : boat.
  • Advantages of this option : you will enjoy a delicious Thai buffet and the night view of the city.
  • Disadvantages of this option : if you usually get seasick during boat rides, this may not be your best option to get to know Bangkok.

6. Bamboo bike tour at twilight to see the fireflies dancing

Would you like to see a natural spectacle composed of thousands of fireflies? In Bangkok you can see it thanks to a bicycle tour at twilight . This experience has an average cost of 60 € and lasts approximately five hours. Just meet your guide at a specific point, take your bike and start the tour.

Bicycle tours in Bangkok are very popular and in demand. On this one you will have the opportunity to ride a bicycle made of bamboo , have you ever seen one, you will love it! They are safe and eco-friendly vehicles that will help you get to know the city.

If you want to see the fireflies popular in the city, then you should do this tour during the night. The tour usually takes you through the back streets of the capital until you reach a restaurant near the Chao Phraya River . There you can enjoy a dinner included in the final price of the tour. After dinner you can continue the tour to where your guide tells you to go.

Please note that you can only see the fireflies if you travel between May and December to Bangkok . In other season you can do the same tour, but you will not be able to see this spectacle. A bottle of water and a safety helmet are included in the tour.

What to bring for a tour in Bangkok?

When traveling to Bangkok you should keep in mind that the climate throughout the year is hot and the humidity is usually high . This is because the city is crossed by the Chao Phraya River. If you want to feel less heat during your stay, the best time of the year to visit Bangkok would be January.

However, I recommend doing a little more research to find out if any activities or festivals are held in a different month. No matter what time of year you travel you should keep in mind that the clothes you wear should be light and cool . This way you will be able to walk calmly and not overheat too much.

In case you travel in rainy months, do not forget to bring an umbrella. On the other hand, do not forget to bring sunscreen and always have a bottle of water at hand. It is also good to have cash on hand in local currency , so you can tip or pay for services more easily.

Tips for a tour in Bangkok

Among the facts you should know about Bangkok is that it is considered disrespectful to buy Buddha souvenirs. You will even see billboards explaining this. If you want to take a souvenir home, it would be best to bring a handicraft or something similar .

On the other hand, it is good to do some research on the sites you want to see in Bangkok . Many tours can be customized to your liking so it will be a great opportunity for you to plan an itinerary that meets your expectations. This way you will be able to enjoy much more of this Asian paradise in Thailand .
