clark international airport travel tax

Frequently Asked Questions

The travel tax is a levy imposed by the Philippine Government on the individuals (citizens of the Philippines, permanent residents aliens, and non-resident aliens who have stayed in the Philippines for more than one year) who are leaving the country irrespective of the place where the air ticket is issued and the form or place of payment, as provided for by Presidential Decree (PD) 1183, as amended:

Passenger Terminal Charge or Terminal Fee is a fee charge to each departing passenger for passing through an airport. It is levied by the airport management corporation and the proceeds are intended for funding the airport facility management and major airport improvements.

CRK Passengers are therefore required to pay separately the terminal fee of Php 600.00 for International Flights and Php 150.00 for Domestic Flights at the Terminal Fee counter.

A Park and Fly facility is available at the CRK which costs Php 90.00 per day.

A Parking Fee of Php 30.00 shall be charged for vehicles that will park at the Clark International Airport (CRK) parking lot.

CLARK AIRPORT GUIDE: How to Get There, What to Do Before Flight

CLARK AIRPORT GUIDE: How to Get There, What to Do Before Flight

By continuing to read this article, you agree to double check with the authorities or other concerned entities for the latest updates.

It’s not always that I fly out of Diosdado Macapagal International Airport , more popularly known as Clark Airport (CRK) . Living in Metro Manila, I still prefer flights that take off and land at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) because it is obviously more convenient to me. The air traffic congestion problem in Manila, however, pushed many airlines (PAL, Cebu Pacific Air, AirAsia, and more) to fly to and from Clark, making this Central Luzon gateway probably the fastest growing airport in the country.

WHAT'S COVERED IN THIS GUIDE?

HOW TO GET TO CLARK AIRPORT

Clark Airport is located two to three hours from Manila, depending on which part of the city you’re coming from. If you’re not very lucky, traffic can make the travel time even longer. Thus, to be on the safe side, I usually leave Manila six hours before my flight schedule — that gives me a four-hour allowance on the road and two hours to get through all the airport processes.

For example, if my flight is scheduled at 12 noon, I am already at the bus terminal at around 6am. I know that may be too much time but you know what they say, better safe than sorry. After all, it gives me ample time to come up with a Plan B should something unfortunate happen like the bus breaking down at the expressway or something.

Here are the timetables. We also added the schedule of P2P buses from BAGUIO, OLONGAPO, and DAGUPAN.

What To Do Before an International Flight at Clark

If you’ve flown to a foreign destination before from NAIA, then you won’t have any problem going through the check-in process at Clark. It’s almost exactly the same. If anything, it’s much easier because the counters lie close to one another.

  • Accomplish your e-Travel form. Don’t forget to save or “screencap” your QR code.
  • Check in ! Present your passport to the check-in agent and drop your bags for check in. The agent will give you your boarding pass.
  • Pay the travel tax and terminal fee. Travel tax is P1,620 per person for economy class. Terminal fee is P600 per person. They will give you a receipt.
  • Proceed to Immigration counters. Line up and clear Immigration check.
  • Final security check.  Remove all gadgets and metal items (including belts and coins) from your body. Remove your shoes, too.

After the final security check, head to the Pre-Departure Area. Check your boarding pass to see what gate you should go to. All you need to do now is wait for the boarding call.

Oh by the way, there is a Foreign Exchange (FOREX) Counter at the Check-in Hall. If you want to exchange currencies before your flight, do so before approaching the Immigration Booth. (There’s no turning back once you made it through. Trust me; I tried. Haha.)

There you have it! Have a safe journey!

Things to Bring

Like I said on this post , I always have a checklist of items I MUST NOT forget when I travel abroad. Here it is:

  • Passport  – Do not ever, ever forget your passport.
  • Printed Flight Itinerary/Tickets  – Make sure you print out the tickets. When I fly domestic, I usually just show the check-in agent the tickets on my phone. They accept it. But for international flights, you will be showing your tickets too many times (check-in counter, travel tax counter, departure fee counter, immigration, etc) that it would be impractical and ridiculously annoying to whip out your phone every step of the way. A printed ticket will make it a lot easier for you and the people who will check it. Besides, a piece of paper does not need to be charged.
  • Valid IDs  – Not really that important because the passport is considered a valid ID. But to be safe, I always bring other IDs, just in case I was invited by Immigration Officers for a short “talk.”
  • DSWD Clearance  – Only when I’m traveling with my nephew or niece and their parents are not joining the trip.
  • Credit card  – Some airlines require a copy of the credit card used when the tickets are booked online. You might also need it as a safety net in case you run short of cash. Some hotels also ask for credit card for deposit.
  • Travel Itinerary  – Make a clear plan of what you want to do and write them down. In case the Immigration Officers pick you for a random check, a printed itinerary will help convince them that you will really go to your destination to tour and nothing else.
  • Hotel address and contact number  – You will need it. If you’re traveling with a kid or someone who doesn’t speak English (or the language spoken in the country you’re visiting), give them the address and contact number of the place you are staying in. In case they get lost, it will be easier for them to find their way to you. You will also need the hotel address when filling out immigration forms.
  • A Pen  – Yes, the humble pen is important. You will be accomplishing forms.

Our flight to HK via AirAsia is 7:40AM. Do you know any bus who leaves MNL as early as 2:30AM? Thanks! :)

The Poor Traveler

Aaw, I don’t. Sorry. :(

superemang

Since I live in Northern part of the metro, Clark is becoming very attractive to me. I tried it last month when we went to Malaysia. The lines are shorter, the wait for take-off are shorter, not as crowded — generally less chaotic than NAIA. The only downside is the NLEX toll fees. :p

Haha, yes, shorter queues and waiting time. Most flights are on time, too. But the immigration officers are stricter, i noticed.

Marhammad

Can I ask how many hours does I wait from Clark to Macau? And any idea how to go from Macau Airport to doha Qatar? Pls responds

Flights to Singapore via air asia is usually early morning. since the last bus from pasay philtranco leaves at 8PM. it means we will be staying overnite in DMIA? is that how you do it? or we need to book (Addl cost) in a nearest hotel?

Hi Povillo! I’ve never flown to Singapore from Clark airport but yes, that would be the best option if you have an AirAsia SG flight. But maybe there are new bus schedules from Trinoma…

Aquiz

Hi dee. When do u plan do travel in HK?

Ouija

Hi, this is the first time I will travel Hk from Manila with my kids and my mom, can I pay the travel tax and terminal fe with my credit card? Thanks for your help.

Hi. When do you plan to go HK coz i’ll be travelling there next week or perhaps you already did.

Ate Leon

Hello, I would like to go to Hongkong from Clark Airport because prices are really cheapest on the date I want if I leave from Clark airport than if I leave from Ninoy airport. Therefore I have several questions: 1/ Do you know if it is possible to go to Clark from other cities than Manila (I am volunteering in an NGO, located in Angat, Bulacan; it is at the North of Manila between Metro Manila and Clark on the map, so it could be clever to go directly from there)

2/ How much the bus from Metro Manila costs ? 2/ What is this travel tax and terminal fee ? I went to Bangkok last month and I did not have to pay for a travel tax (it’s 1620php !!)

Thanks for your help!

MaxYuri

Peter Vandever

Just do you know that they have Genesis going from ESDA/Taft to Clark now for P500 If I remember right.

Virgilio

Hi How do we commute to Clark airport from Nueva Ecija or Cabanatuan?

Navigator

What to do before the flight is not at all I expect to read. Wasted my time. Those things you mentioned are the standard protocol prior to check in. I was expecting you’ll guide us to spend time if we have the luxury to spend more time and have fun instead of just sit and wait stuff. But thanks anyway. I appreciate your effort but you can rename that “What to do segment”

Yosh Dimen

Hi Navigator, this post is mainly for those traveling for the first time and flying from Clark.

Do you have any suggestion for the new title of that segment?

JONG CHUA

(PLEASE BEAR WITH MY CAPS LOCK)

I WILL BE GOING TO SANTA CLARA SANTA MARIA BULACAN. MY FLIGHT SCHEDULE IS MAY 30 FROM CEBU TO CLARK. WHAT BUS I WILL RIDE THAT WILL PASS BY SANTA CLARA SANTA MARIA BULACAN? PLEASE HELP. THANKS

Philippine Airports – Terminal Fee, Travel Tax & Flights Guide

Philippine Airports – Terminal Fee, Travel Tax & Flights Guide

Are you traveling in the Philippines or abroad? There are some important things to know before you fly.

This detailed guide answers frequently asked questions about Philippine airports and flights.

Philippine terminal fee + travel tax

Here’s a lowdown on fees that you might have to pay at airports in the Philippines. Followed by helpful tips about individual airports.

What is the terminal fee? Do I need to pay at the airport?

You need not worry about the terminal fee if you are arriving at any airport in the Philippines. The terminal fee should already be included in the flight ticket price upon booking for both domestic and international flights.

The airport terminal fee or “Philippine passenger service charge” (DPSC) is an airport tax/exit fee for passengers departing from airports in the Philippines. Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are exempted from paying the terminal fee. The terminal fee ranges from P50 to P220 per person for domestic flights or P600 to P1,135 per person for international flights.

What is PH Travel Tax?

The Philippine travel tax is a fee for Filipinos traveling abroad. The full travel tax is P1,620 for passengers on economy class plane tickets and P2,700 when flying first class. You need not worry about the travel tax if you’re a foreigner traveling in the Philippines on a short visit or simply transiting as this fee only applies to citizens of the Philippines, permanent resident aliens, and non-immigrant aliens who have stayed in the Philippines for a period of not less than one year. You can check TIEZA’s website for the full details on PH travel tax exemptions and reduced fees.

PH Travel Tax Online Payment

Selected airlines including Cebu Pacific offer the option of paying the Philippine Travel Tax online on their website. This is highly recommended if you want to skip lining up at the airport. You can also pay the travel tax online on the  TIEZA Online Travel Tax Payment System (OTTPS) website.

Manila-NAIA International Airport (MNL)

The Manila Airport is the busiest airport and the main international gateway to the Philippines. Commonly referred to as “NAIA” or Ninoy Aquino International Airport, it is located in the cities of Pasay and Parañaque, within the Metro Manila area in Luzon Island (Northern Philippines).

Before you go

How do I know if the terminal fee is included in the airline booking?

Check the breakdown of taxes and fees on your booking receipt or when booking the flight ticket. The terminal fee is usually labeled as PH Passenger Service Charge, Domestic Passenger Service Charge or International Passenger Service Charge. There’s usually also a corresponding Aviation Security Fee (ASF) and separate Value Added Tax for the terminal fee.

Do I still need to pay the terminal fee, even after paying the travel tax?

Yes, the terminal fee and travel tax are separate fees. If you’re not exempted, then you need to pay both.

Do I need to pay the terminal fee and travel tax when I arrive in the Philippines?

The airport terminal fee and Philippine Travel Tax does not apply to arriving passengers.

Don’t leave yet. There’s more!

Hi. I am budy from Indonesia. I would like to ask you related airport tax terminal fee and philippines travel tax. I booked the ticket from Jakarta to Manila (transit). And then Manila to Seoul. I am foreign passport holder. Should I pay airport tax terminal fee and phillipines travel tax? Thanks ☺

May 15, 2016 at 5:53 pm

If you have a single journey ticket, I’m not sure if you have to pay, but if you are changing airlines or if you’re required to check-in for your next flight then you may have to pay the international terminal fee. The Philippine travel tax is mostly for Philippine residents.

May 16, 2016 at 3:37 am

Hello Gloria,

If you are required to pay the PH travel tax, you may have to pay this fee for every departure regardless of the time between your flights. It is charged specifically for every plane ticket. You can read more info about it at http://tieza.gov.ph/travel-tax/ .

' src=

June 4, 2016 at 3:21 pm

June 4, 2016 at 4:38 pm

Those are the only charges you need to pay at the airport if you are departing on an international flight from the Philippines

hi, im an OFW , me and my mom and bb will travel to HK for holiday via CEbupacific airways in the tkts it says passenger service charge and TAXES AND FEES PH Passenger Service Charge – PHP 491.07 – is this the terminal fee? Hong Kong Airport Construction Fee – PHP 577.94 Air Passenger Departure Tax – PHP 770.59 – is this the travel tax? Security Surcharge – PHP 288.97 and i want to ask also , since im OFW am i exempted with this taxes (terminal and travel tax going to HK for holiday?)

February 1, 2017 at 9:52 pm

I’ll breakdown the list so it’s easier to go through them.

PH Passenger Service Charge – PHP 491.07 – is this the terminal fee?

This I believe is the PH airport terminal fee. There should be another item called the “PH PSC Value Added Tax: 58.93,” which usually amounts to P58.93. So, the total is the P550 terminal fee.

This terminal fee should be refundable for OFWs with OEC.

Air Passenger Departure Tax – PHP 770.59 – is this the travel tax?

This is a HK$120 fee charged in Hong Kong, not in the Philippines.

Hi i am traveling to singapore next week. First time ko.. Magkanu babayaran kong travel tax, and do i need to pay terminal fees?. Mejo nervous kc aq as a first timer eh,, sana matulungan m ko.. Saka do i need to fill up embarkation card and where to get it ba… Your reply is going to be a good help.,

February 23, 2017 at 5:27 pm

P1,620 po yung travel tax per person for economy class tickets. Sa airport po yan binabayaran. Kung galing ka Manila Airport, hindi na kelangan mag bayad ng terminal fee sa airport kase nabayaran na po yan sa ticket.

Yung embarkation card before arriving in Singapore, usually dini-distribute po yan during the flight. Sakali wala sa flight mo, naka lagay lang yan sa immigration checkpoint sa Singapore.

Safe trip Lovelie!

April 23, 2017 at 8:56 am

You don’t need to pay the terminal fee when you arrive in the Philippines. If you’re flying out of Davao, you need to pay the terminal fee at the airport. If you’re flying from Manila, no need to pay. The fee is already included in the ticket price. See the list of terminal fee prices above.

Hello Riza,

I’m not sure if he is required to pay. Best to contact TIEZA to be sure.

There seems to be a bit of a confusion (mix up) here … Under “Airport terminal fee” you wrote: “You do not have to pay the terminal fee if you are on a flight from Manila, Caticlan (Boracay), or a domestic flight from Cebu.” and again under “Popular Philippine Airports” you wrote: Cebu-Mactan (CEB) Domestic – Included in flight ticket. International – P750. But … under “Mactan–Cebu International Airport (CEB)” you wrote: “The Cebu Airport passenger terminal fee is P750 per person for domestic flights. If you are on an international flight, you do not have to pay the terminal fee since it should already be paid for / included in the plane ticket price, at the time of booking.” This is the total opposite of the first two. So which is correct? Also if you go international but is required to change plane, like Cebu to Manila, then Manila to Bangkok, do you have to first pay Domestic then International terminal fees or do you pay the International terminal fee twice? Once in Cebu (750) and again (as included in ticket) in Manila?

May 14, 2017 at 5:17 pm

The first one is correct. Thanks for pointing out the error Luigi.

Just did a mock online booking for a Cebu-Manila-Bangkok flight, only the P750 PH international terminal fee shows up on the receipt. So, you might have to pay the terminal fee (for international flights) ONLY ONCE & it’s already included in the total price, upon purchase. This assumes that the whole journey is on a single plane ticket, and not two separate tickets.

If you booked a Cebu – Manila flight ticket, and another Manila – Bangkok flight ticket … You might have to pay the domestic terminal fee in Cebu, and international terminal fee in Manila. Both should already be included in the total price, upon purchase. So, you don’t need to pay at the airport. If both flights are on the same airline, on the same day, best to ask the airport/airline staff if you can get a refund for your Cebu-Manila terminal fee… If they are on different airlines & on different dates, you will need to pay both.

You only pay the international terminal fee once.

Sa airport binabayad yung travel tax & terminal fee for international flights, at Cebu Airport.

Do I need to pay all these fees when booking Philippine Airlines? Passenger service charge usd 11, airport construction fee usd 12, airport passenger security chare usd 6, Air passenger departure tax usd 16, is this what they called travel tax and do we need to pay coz we’re on European passports? Many thanks if someone can answer our queries.

September 22, 2017 at 9:00 am

The “travel tax” commonly mentioned on this page is the Philippine Travel Tax . It mostly applies to Philippine citizens traveling abroad and foreigners on long-term PH visa.

If you are visiting the PH for a short time, you shouldn’t need to worry about it. It is paid at the airport not when you book your flight online anyways.

Those fees you mentioned are probably mandatory airport/gov’t fees. So yes, you may need to pay all of them.

You only need to pay the terminal fee is it’s not already included in the ticket fare (on purchase). All airlines have started to include terminal fee in the price of the ticket recently.

I haven’t taken it yet but news sites report that they are initially charging promo rates. Regular rates are:

Very expensive travel tax and terminal fee but you cannot see any progress here in Philippines. Everywhere you go, there is fee! Unlike in other countries they are not collecting any terminal fee fee from customer.

July 15, 2018 at 6:02 pm

Hi Trisha, all airports around the world charge terminal fees and taxes, you just don’t notice it because it’s already included in the airfare. As for the travel tax for international Pinoy travelers, PH Gov’t should really make an exception for ASEAN flights, which will encourage more intra-regional tourism activities/spending.

Details are posted there on exemptions. Here is what i found:

—– Who may be exempted from paying the Travel Tax? The following Filipino citizens are exempted from the payment of travel tax pursuant to Sec. 2 of PD 1183, as amended:

Overseas Filipino workers Filipino permanent residents abroad whose stay in the Philippines is less than one year Infants (2 years and below) —–

November 9, 2019 at 7:21 pm

All airports charge a terminal fee. Most airports in the world charge way more than any airport in the Philippines. They just include the terminal fee in your ticket price so you don’t see it. In any case, for international flights from Mactan Cebu, purchased since 1st September this year, they have the terminal fee included in the ticket price now.

clark international airport travel tax

Beginning January 1, 2021, both domestic and international passenger terminal fees at Clark International Airport will be integrated into the cost of airline tickets

clark international airport travel tax

Beginning January 1, 2021, both domestic and international passenger terminal fees at Clark International Airport (CRK) will be integrated into the cost of airline tickets.

“The integration of the terminal fee has been one of our priority projects CRK,” Bi Yong Chungunco, chief executive officer of CRK operator Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), said in a statement.

Chungunco said this will make passengers’ journey “as hassle-free and seamless as possible.”

A total of 17 airlines signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) with LIPAD to begin the transition to terminal fee integration, the operator said.

All passengers who will purchase their tickets beginning January 1, 2021 will no longer have to pay for their terminal fee at the airport.

Passengers who bought their tickets prior to the effectivity date may proceed to the payment counters located inside the terminal.

Terminal fee exemptions will still apply to select individuals, particularly infants below two years old for both domestic and international flights and overseas Filipino workers for international flights.

Other airports such as Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and Mactan-Cebu International Airport have already integrated the terminal fees for domestic flights into the airline tickets since 2013. Terminal fees for international flights at NAIA were included into the airline ticket in 2017.

Your Ultimate Guide To Clark Airport Travel: 5 Things You Need To Know

The Clark Airport (CRK) is a great alternative to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s (NAIA) busy terminals and congested runways.

The CRK is fast gaining more popularity among wise travelers primarily because of its cheaper airfares compared to airports in Manila. And it’s not even as far as you might think from the metro.

clark international airport travel tax

Flights from destinations such as Batanes and Siargao, which are usually at over P10,000 roundtrip, can be at half the price when you book via Clark. There are also international flights you can get on the cheap when you fly out from CRK.

But before you get too excited about discounted flights, here are some things to expect when flying from Clark Airport.

1. Clark has less airport facilities

Everyone who’s been at the Clark Airport always talks about how it’s not as busy compared to NAIA. Unlike these Manila airports though, passengers are not allowed to sleep or even stay inside the terminal.

There is, however, a small area outside the lobby with seats, stores, and a coffee machine where people can stay and kill time. If you have some extra budget, you can also book hotels near CRK.

Note that Clark airport charges P150 domestic terminal fee and a P600 international terminal fee. It’s not like NAIA where some airlines already charge the terminal fee upon booking.

If you need last-minute currency exchange, there’s a Forex Counter inside the airport, by the Check-in area.

2. Clark also has international travel tax

If you happened to book with an airline that did not include the Travel Tax Fees, take note of these rates you might need to prepare and pay for at CRK:

3. Clark has parking areas that you need to pay for

Parking fees are at P30 per hour, and Park and Fly is at P90 per day.

4. There are various ways to commute to Clark

Getting to the Clark Airport (CRK) also known as Diosdado Macapagal International Airport is now easier, with all the available transport buses and P2P. Those who live outside of the Metro also have P2P buses in major routes.

A Metro Manila to Clark, Pampanga commute usually takes two (2) hours.

Always allot around five to six hours of travel time and preparations before your CRK flight. And of course, complete your online check in to avoid the hassle of long queues once you get to CRK. The online check-in also favors those who do not have check-in bags. So, travel light whenever you can.

Tip: While you can take normal buses and get dropped off at Clark city proper, you will need to shell out an additional will force you to shell out P500 for a taxi fare to CRK. There is no public transportation from the city proper to Clark Airport.

Have your passport, boarding pass, and travel documents ready for inspection upon entering the Departure Area. There will be airport security personnel to check these requirements.

2. Payment of Travel Tax

International departing passengers shall pay the travel tax amounting to P1,620 . Don’t forget to keep the receipt as proof of payment. Those who are traveling locally don't have to take this step.

3. Check-in

Line up at your designated check-in counter where you will be asked to present your passport, travel tax receipt, and plane ticket. Check-in your baggage at the counter and get your boarding pass from the officer.

4. Payment of Terminal Fee

After checking-in your baggage and getting your boarding pass, go to the immigration counter. Make sure that you have completely filled out the departure card as this is a requirement. The immigration officer may ask you questions related to your travel. Answer honestly and politely.

6. Final security check

You, along with your hand-carry luggage, will be inspected again for the last time. Once cleared, collect your things and head towards the gate listed on your boarding pass.

7. Boarding

Patiently wait for your boarding time. Clark International Airport announces boardings, change of gates, and delays, so it's best to be attentive all the time. Once you're up for boarding, prepare your pass and passport and present them to the attendant.

Before landing in Clark International Airport, the crew of the airplane will hand you a disembarkation card. All foreign passport holders and local passport holders with a foreign immigrant visa are required to fill this out.

1. Immigration

Queue in front of the designated counter and wait for your turn. This is where you will present your passport and the disembarkation card.

2. Baggage Carousel

Proceed to the baggage claim area and wait for your bag to come out.

After collecting your bag, walk towards the Customs area. Line up in the red lane if you will declare items, and in the green lane if not.

Miscellaneous

  • You can NOT enter the terminal without a valid plane ticket.
  • If you do not arrive at least 1 hour BEFORE your flight, you may not be allowed to enter the terminal.
  • It is possible that you could be kept waiting outside a terminal for a delayed plane. Outside but under cover that is. Airport officials sometimes do not allow anyone in the terminal until 2 hours before departure.
  • Although NAIA Terminal 1 is often referred to as the “International Terminal” … BOTH NAIA Terminals 1 and 2 have many international flights each day.  If you have an international flight, be certain to know which terminal you’re departing from.
  • Always check your reservation to determine which terminal your flight is departing from.
  • You should consider dressing as light as possible as they may make you remove any belts, shoes, hats and pass them through the x-ray machine.
  • Beware of scams and thieves.  Keep your bags and valuables close to you at all times while traveling through the airport, on the plane, and in the transport from the airport to your destination. READ MORE: How to Avoid Scams & Thieves in the Philippines
  • Don’t wait until the last minute to go to the airport.  It can take time to catch a taxi (30+ minutes). There are often long lines to get into this airport, at the check-in counters, security, and customs. Expect the worst and arrive several hours BEFORE your departure time to avoid missing your flight.
  • Always have at least 1,000 pesos handy to pay the terminal fee should you have to.  Not all airports accept credit cards or the credit card machines are often not working.

You have not stated your nationality

Terminal fees are in addition with different rates for domestic and international flights but are included in flights from NAIA. I think you will have to pay these at DMIA Clark

clark international airport travel tax

Only some locals pay travel tax. You can see the terminal fees in the attached, but don't know if it is included in your ticket because we used to pay the terminal fee when we depart each airport but this is changing and sometimes it is now included in the ticket

http://www.clark-airport.com/

Only some locals pay travel tax.

https://tieza.gov.ph/travel-tax/full-travel-tax/table-2/

For the OP, no airline knows whether you have to pay the travel tax or not so will not automatically include it.

Last I heard, you still had to pay terminal fee of P600 on departure from Clark. I see this site, updated in march, agrees with me

https://www.detourista.com/guide/philippine-airports-cheatsheet/

' class=

Now my girlfriend (local) will depart from Clark to Doha and if understand it well, she will pay 1620 + 600 :-/ Does anybody has some experience about his? Thank you.

Sometimes the terminal fee is included in the ticket price, but the travel tax for Filipinos has to be paid online or at the airport. It is 1620 pesos. Certain people are exempt from this charge. The 600 is the international terminal fee so check to see if it has been included in your ticket price.

The red letters say it is not included..

http://crk.clarkairport.com/faqs.php?fbclid=IwAR1AXLOe9IM3FJcbyR-F3_xd7_GUHItngOAsickZuUpwUOMap9OAGu4JlbU

It is crazy country, each airport other rules :D

The terminal of P600 has to be paid at the airport.

By the way, immigration is very strict on single Filipinas departing Clark. They are very strict at checking that a single woman is not being trafficked.

If you paid for the ticket and you have never met, she should not even waste her time travelling to the airport as they will not let her leave.

If you paid for the ticket and you have an ongoing relationship, she will need to provide proof of this relationship before she is allowed to depart.

I hope it will work because everything what we do is legal ..

Thanks for any info anyway..

aha, maybe this it the problem, grrr, nobody told me..

https://www.cfo.gov.ph/gcp.html#online

why should not they let her go here?

-----------------------------------\

As I already said, trafficking in women. Immigration want to make sure she is not being trafficked. She will have to provide proof as i already said.

You did not say she is departing permanently though. It is my opinion that she only needs the CFO in her passport if it is a permanent departure. So is she departing permanently or only having a holiday?

Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport welcomes race fans on busiest day

Louisville’s airport was slammed Thursday welcoming race fans for Kentucky Derby 150.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville’s airport was slammed Thursday welcoming race fans for Kentucky Derby 150.

It’s the busiest time of the year for Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. During Derby Week, SDF typically sees more than 34,000 people come through.

There will also be an increase in private jets lining up on the runway.

Airlines have even added new flights around Derby.

Vanessa Marcos was one such traveler made the trip to Derby City for the first time as a surprise trip with some friends.

“We had no idea that we will be coming for the 150th anniversary,” she said. “We’re actually meeting three more friends and one of them, this was on their bucket list and was a gift for her 60th birthday. So we plan on taking it all in.”

People will still be flying in Friday ahead of the races. The airport is expecting to see more than 10,000 people fly in from all over the world.

Indy Gaming: International flights on the rise in Las Vegas

Howard Stutz

I spent the last two weeks in South America — Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Iguazu Falls on the Brazil-Argentina border and Machu Picchu in Peru. I will simply say it was an amazing trip.

Restoring direct international travel to and from Las Vegas following the pandemic was a top concern for the tourism industry. Given the numbers from March and recent trends, global visitation is returning.

Please click here to sign up for Indy Gaming .

Passenger volume at Harry Reid International Airport surpassed the 5 million mark during March — just the third time that lofty figure was reached and a sign that international visitation to Las Vegas may be fully rebounding from the pandemic.

The total included 314,577 international travelers, just the second time the airport has seen a number that high after the pandemic shut down international travel to the U.S. for nearly two years. In 2019, Reid Airport drew a record 3.8 million international passengers, an average of 317,186 travelers per month. In 2020, the overall international figure fell to just 781,280 passengers.

While the March 2024 figure still trails pre-pandemic numbers, the upward trend is a positive sign according to gaming, tourism and airport representatives.

“This year so far appears to be where we may fully recover from our peak,” said Brendan Bussmann, managing partner of Las Vegas-based B Global, adding that international guests “tend to stay longer either on business or leisure. This will further boost additional revenue and commerce.”

In 2019, Reid had nonstop service to and from 11 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, South Korea, China and Israel. By 2021, a blanket travel ban instituted by the White House due to the pandemic had reduced international airline service to Las Vegas to one country — Mexico. European Union countries were opening borders to vaccinated airline passengers. Several Canadian air carriers had retained their routes to Las Vegas, but halted service when the pandemic surged north of the border.

That same year, Clark County Director of Aviation Rosemary Vassiliadis told a U.S. Senate subcommittee that the government needed to create a roadmap that returned international travel routes. In November 2021, the airport welcomed its first flight from the United Kingdom in 20 months.

As of March, Reid Airport is offering nonstop service to and from nine countries.

Reid Airport is coming off two straight record-breaking years — 52.6 million passengers in 2022 and 57.6 million in 2023. Through three months, airport passenger volume is 1.7 percent ahead of a year ago.

As for international passengers, the facility drew more than 2.5 million in 2022 and more than 3.2 million in 2023. Through March, the airport is more than 26 percent ahead of 2023’s figure.

Nevada gaming revenue dip, poor Boyd Q1 results concern analysts

The timing for Boyd Gaming’s first-quarter earnings release wasn’t ideal.

Last Thursday afternoon, the casino operator reported an overall revenue decline (gaming and non-gaming) of 6 percent from its Las Vegas locals properties and a decrease of more than 5 percent from its downtown casinos for the first three months of 2024.

That morning, it was also revealed Nevada's March gaming revenue was down year over year, the first time in eight months the state’s casino industry reported a decline.

The investment community lumped together the two reports. As a result, Boyd’s stock price declined more than 15 percent on the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, losing $9.71 a share.

“There is no way to sugarcoat Boyd’s first-quarter earnings miss. It was broad-based and very surprising,” J.P. Morgan gaming analyst Joe Greff wrote in a research note, expressing concern “about the state of the low-end gaming consumer.”

He suggested Boyd’s locals' market was immune from any customer migration toward the new Durango Casino Resort in southwest Las Vegas, which opened in December.

Boyd CEO Keith Smith said during a conference call with analysts that the company’s Nevada casinos “faced market softness” in the year’s first two months. Still, he cited the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority monthly report showing visitation grew less than 1 percent in March and is up 4.2 percent for the first three months of 2024 as evidence of a positive long-term outlook.

As for downtown Las Vegas, Smith said high-priced airline tickets kept the company’s Hawaiian business island-bound much of the quarter.

“We continue to have long-term confidence in the Southern Nevada market,” Smith said.

Revenue increases from Boyd’s online gaming operations in other states, and management fees from its Northern California tribal casino, kept Boyd’s overall quarterly revenue at a less than 1 percent decline.

But Nevada’s overall gaming results in March, particularly the neighborhood casino markets in Las Vegas, drew attention from analysts.

The Gaming Control Board said statewide gaming revenue fell more than 1.6 percent to $1.29 billion in March, and the Strip was off 1.2 percent to $715.8 million.

However, Boyd’s primary customer markets in Las Vegas saw significant declines. According to the state, downtown casino revenue dipped 12.9 percent, Boulder Strip (which includes Henderson) fell 9.3 percent and North Las Vegas was off 4.2 percent. However, the balance of Clark County was up 6.6 percent due to the December opening of Durango.

The control board said the combined gaming revenue for the Boulder Strip, North Las Vegas and the balance of Clark County were up 0.4 percent for March and up 2.9 percent for the first quarter. Downtown is off 3.4 percent.

Gaming and Leisure eyes other Vegas casino opportunities

Gaming and Leisure Properties, which owns the site of the now-closed Tropicana Las Vegas, has its eye on other Las Vegas investments.

Outside of the 35-acre Strip location that is planned for a $1.5 billion stadium to house Major League Baseball’s relocated Oakland Athletics, the real estate investment trust owns the land associated with M Resort in Henderson and two casinos in the Northern Nevada community of Jackpot — all operated by Penn Entertainment — and Tropicana Laughlin, which is operated by Caesars Entertainment.

“We continue to have an interest in not only Las Vegas but in downtown and in the locals market,” Gaming and Leisure Chief Development Officer Steven Ladany said on the company’s first-quarter earnings conference call last week. “It's an area where we don't have as much exposure.”

Gaming and Leisure is providing $175 million toward the demolition of the Tropicana, which closed April 2. Company officials said this month Bally’s Corp., which operated the Rat Pack-era resort, is still paying $10.5 million in annual lease payments for the site.

Bally’s officials say the company plans to build a new project in conjunction with the stadium. Truist Securities gaming analyst Barry Jonas suggested in a research note that Gaming and Leisure is evaluating other Bally’s casino locations as potential acquisition opportunities, but “needs more time and information before making any firm commitments.”

Las Vegas sees big convention decline, visitation up slightly

The number of passengers using Harry Reid International Airport in March was the third highest in the airport’s history, with international travel fueling that growth.

Travelers walk into Harry Reid International Airport on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, in Las Vegas. (K ...

Visitor volume in Las Vegas increased slightly in March despite a huge decline in convention attendance for the month, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported Thursday.

Meanwhile, hotel occupancy and average daily room rates fell despite near-record traffic at Harry Reid International Airport and a slight uptick in vehicle traffic on major highways to Las Vegas.

Visitation was up 0.4 percent to 3.67 million, but convention attendance fell by 37.2 percent compared with a year ago — a statistic more reflective of a tough comparison with March 2023 when the ConExpo-Con/Ag construction equipment trade show was in Las Vegas than a poor showing this year.

Hotel occupancy fell 3 percentage points to 85.3 percent in March and the average daily room rate dropped 16.4 percent to $178.26 a night.

For the first quarter of 2024, visitation is up 4.2 percent from last year to 10.43 million, while convention visitation is off 7.2 percent to 1.8 million for the first three months of the year.

Kevin Bagger, who heads LVCVA research, said the tough comparison against March 2023 included the room occupancy and room rate categories, which posted records a year ago.

RevPAR, or revenue per room, a profitability metric, was also down from a year ago by 19.2 percent to $152.06.

Also Thursday, the Clark County Department of Aviation reported near-record passenger counts at Harry Reid International Airport in March as more than 5 million passengers passed through the airport’s gates for only the third time ever.

In March, 5.043 million passengers arrived or departed from Reid International. The record of 5.47 million was set in October, and there were 5.18 million in October 2022.

A high volume of international traffic contributed to the busy month with 314,577 arrivals and departures — a 22.8 percent increase from March 2023. That’s the second highest post-pandemic total, trailing the 315,147 recorded in October.

Domestically, passenger counts were up 1.3 percent to 4.652 million, with market leader Southwest Airlines recording its second-highest passenger total at the Las Vegas airport. The Dallas-based airline reported 1.948 million passengers, a 14.2 percent increase from a year earlier and just below the 1.966 in October.

Southwest is offering the highest number of flights to and from Las Vegas in its history — 241 a day — and is using larger-capacity planes on many of its routes.

Internationally, Canadian discounter Westjet carried the most passengers to Reid, with 74,839 for the month, followed by Air Canada with 60,246. The top overseas carrier was British Airways, with 20,025 passengers.

Reid passenger numbers were up from a year earlier, despite a 17.3 percent decline in passengers using the westside and helicopter terminal, which reported 76,660 passengers.

For the first quarter of 2024, Reid passenger counts are up 1.7 percent from a year earlier, with 13.7 million. If that level can be maintained, Reid would surpass 2023’s record of 57.6 million passengers.

Kelvin encourages travelers to utilize Google Flights and other free price-tracking tools to compare fare prices and snag the best deal.

He also suggests using both the calendar and map features within Google Flights to see which airports, dates and destinations how the lowest fare.

From the Google Flights homepage on a computer, click "explore destinations" and select a departure city without adding a destination. Then zoom out on the map to see the best prices for destinations all over the world.

Get the most out of free travel loyalty programs

Travelers should be earning points for anything and everything that they are buying or booking from airline and hotels to car rentals, Kelvin said.

In addition to the points that can can help travelers earn free flights and hotel stays, Kelvin said to look for extra perks just for joining.

Hyatt rewards, for example, offers all guests free breakfast.

For Thrifty Car Rental and Dollar Car Rental, he said you can add your spouse or domestic partner as an additional driver for free.

Loyalty programs are great for airlines too. JetBlue, for example, allows enrolled customers -- even if they don't have enough points for a flight -- to use points for discounts. Plus, with any airline, as you accumulate points to earn status, you can get free seating upgrades.

Travel credit cards with cash back perks

Along with earning points, travel credit cards give you protection for your trip like insurance to help with lost or damaged baggage and trip cancellation protection

As for credit cards, The Points Guy team suggests the Capital One Venture Rewards credit card as an all-around pick -- you get 75,000 miles after meeting your minimum spend in the first three months. Which Kelvin said is a value of over $1,300.

If you're looking to earn the most miles, he said look to the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card.

"You'll earn the most points on all your purchases with this one," he said.

Finally, if you want a credit card with no fee, Kelvin suggested the Bilt Mastercard, which he said is particularly great for renters because you can earn points on what's likely someone's biggest expense.

Save money on international phone plans for summer trips

If someone's trip is taking them out of the country, using a cell phone internationally can cost $10 to 15 per day. For a family of four, that's more than $400 for a week.

If your phones support eSIM, Kelvin suggested purchasing a data plan for your destination through an app such as Airalo, Truphone or GigSky.

For example, one of Airalo's global SIM plans costs $9 for one week, which could save a family close to $350 dollars, depending on their existing international coverage.
