Traveler Reviews

The trip was by FAR the best one we have been on. Walter was VERY knowledgeable and actually asked us why we wanted the tour. History? Art? Restaurants? He tailored our tour based on what we wanted the most! It was fantastic! We had never been to Greenville before and wanted to get an idea of what the town had to offer. We got that and then some. We LOVE the city and will be back every year!! Great job Walter!! See you next year!!

If you have never ridden a Segway, make sure that you learn how to stop before taking off. I observed a lady in a group of people falling off and getting hurt when trying to stop.

Beautiful city and fantastic tour! Very small learning curve and super easy to operate and zip around the city. Walter is the best!

our tour guide (walter) was amazing and personalized the tour to our interests! we had a great time, even though it was raining, and would highly recommend this segway tour!

Really got to know downtown Greenville. Walter was very knowledgeable. Part of the 5 star rating tho, were because A. it was just my wife and I - so it was like a private tour. B. Because the weather that morning couldn't have been adjusted to be more perfect! C. Going early meant there was almost no pedestrian traffic to navigate around. Still, a very good tour

This was a new experience for us. Walter made sure we knew what to do and were comfortable with the segway before heading out. The tour was a great introduction to the city and Walter was an excellent guide.

Got to see a lot of Greenville with a knowledgeable guide. We were able to customize the experience to the things we wanted to see and Walter was a wealth of knowledge. The other guests were very fun and enjoyable. My tour was confirmed for a 6 PM start for training and a 6:30 departure, but apparently, the guide expected a 5:30 training with a 6:00 start. He was extremely aware that my compliance with this schedule was not appreciated. He also made comments throughout the tour to indicate he was not happy with certain other tour guides or city ordinances that were not to his approval. Kind of took the fun out of the experience. Still enjoyable and recommended, just a little more "stiff" than expected...

Walter was an awesome guide for lots of reasons. First he’s really accommodating to the specific needs of your group. We had 3 teenagers who weren’t as into the history of Greenville as they were into just riding the Segways. Me and my wife were interested in the history and restaurant recommendations. Walter customized our tour to make everyone happy. Also, he made sure that we were all comfortable/safe before riding off on the hills of the park

Walter was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The equipment could have been better but he did the best with what he had. It was a good way to see Greenville.

Our guide, Walter, was great! He made sure we could all safely ride the Segways and then we were off to see the beautiful city. He gave us history and ghost stories, and took us to the lovely city parks. I would highly recommend this tour.

He asked what we were most interested in, and then built our tour around that, taking us to the places we were most interested in. Seeing Greenville via Segway is definitely the way to go!! Walter made sure that we were trained on how to safely ride the Segway, and that we were comfortable going forward, backward, turning and how to safely stop. Once we started the tour, as a result of Walter's instructions, we were able to comfortably ride and relax on the tour. I especially enjoyed our ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and riding through Falls Park viewing the waterfall which is so beautiful, and then on to Legacy Park, which is amazing. I highly recommend this tour. They offer several daily and specialty tours that include points of interest like Fort Sumter, the Battery, and the famed Ravenel Bridge. You can book your boat tour by itself, or combine it with land excursions that take you to the haunted jail, Boone Hall Plantation, or other walking tours.

Shelling and Lighthouse Cruise, Georgetown, SC

If you love all things beach, you’ll want to hop aboard the Carolina Rover for the best eco-tour in the state. Your adventure begins with a smooth ride to a barrier island, where you can comb the pristine beach for shells you’d never find anywhere else on the Grand Strand. Chances are you’ll see dolphins, water birds, and other wildlife, along with a Civil War shipwreck and South Carolina’s oldest lighthouse.

Eagle’s Wings Hot Air Balloons, Rock Hill, SC

Waccamaw River Tours, Myrtle Beach, SC

If you’re on the visual hunt for sights not usually found in the city, look no further than the Waccamaw River Tours. South Carolina’s abundance of animal life and untouched nature provide plenty to see as you cruise down the quiet waters of the Waccamaw River. Alligators, egrets, osprey, and turtles have been known to make an appearance for tour groups.

Historic Columbia Tours, Columbia, SC

Located in the Palmetto State’s capital city, there is no shortage of historical and significant locales. And you can see quite a few of them during a walking or driving tour. You’ll see some of the area’s most well-known hot spots, such as the State House, house museums, restored train stations, and the original campus of the University of South Carolina. They offer a variety of tours to suit your interests, each with a unique array of sites to visit.

Myrtle Beach Segway Tours, Myrtle Beach, SC

You’ve got your pick between two locales. The first adventure begins in Little River, where you can roll through nature for some fun in both the shade and sun, perfect for all Segway skill levels. The other covers ground in the Huntington Beach State Park, where tourists can catch glimpses of loggerhead turtles, alligators, and birds. The park is also home to the Atalaya Castle and the former winter home of Archer Huntington and Anna Hyatt.

Greenville History Tours, Greenville, SC

Get to know the real Greenville on a guided tour of some of the city’s best loved places. Depending on which tour you choose, your travels may take you to some of the city’s signature cuisine, or along some recognizable landmarks like the Liberty Bridge or Reedy River Falls.

Oceanfront Helicopters, Myrtle Beach, SC

The Grand Strand offers no shortage of things to see and do, and you can catch a glimpse of it all from your perch in a helicopter. Each tour takes you over the beautiful beaches and oceans, allowing you to see city life and natural beauty from above. You’ll cruise near the Skywheel, around marsh areas and swamps, or even along the tucked-away “Golden Mile” of private mansions.
