Whangarei home to top Helloworld travel store in New Zealand for 2017

The Helloworld team: Raewyn Going, Miranda Heta, Lianne Powell, Makaia Ingham, Lynne Bennett, Rod Haywood and Shannell Christmas. Absent: Kay Kirwan, Sali Marinkovich and Colleen Fisher.

Helloworld's Whangarei team has nailed the top honour at an in-house annual nationwide awards night held in Christchurch recently.

The Whangarei store is the travel brand's Top Helloworld Store for 2017. Helloworld Whangarei also received The Top Cruise Store Award for achieving the highest value of cruise holiday sales.

Store owner Lynne Bennett said she was "lost for words, but over the moon to be winning the Top Store Award" as she accepted the trophy with her top-selling team on stage with her.

She later said, "The growth that we achieved is a direct reflection of the amazing acceptance of the brand change to Helloworld for our Whangarei store."

The awards were held in the transitional Cardboard Cathedral in Christchurch with more than 250 Helloworld store owners, managers, staff and key preferred suppliers from all over New Zealand attending.
