One of the UK’s most successful bands, Take That, have announced their return with a huge stadium and arena live tour for 2024 alongside news of their ninth studio album This Life, set for release 24th November. To celebrate the news further, Take That have also unleashed their brand-new single Windows which is out NOW!

This Life On Tour will see the trio - Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald – play 29 dates across 15 cities around the UK and Ireland, coming to Utilita Arena Birmingham in May 2024. They will be joined on the tour by very special guest, Olly Murs.

Take That are renowned for their huge productions and incredible live shows, and currently hold the record for the most performances at London’s The O2 with 34 headline shows. 2011’s Progress tour broke box office records by selling over 1 million tickets in less than 24 hours, becoming the biggest tour in the UK and earning them a place on Billboard’s annual ‘Top 25 Tours’ list, placing third worldwide. In 2019, the band celebrated their 30th anniversary with the 38 date sell-out Odyssey tour which saw them play to 29 arenas and 9 stadiums, selling over 650,000 tickets. 

Take That’s brand new single, Windows - sees them reunite for their first original composition in over five years.  Windows, is a beautiful track which tells the story of emerging from the darkness into the light.  As a familiar falsetto rings out across the opening notes of Windows, it signals a new era for one of Britain’s best selling bands, Take That; an era brimming with energy, creativity and a continued desire to challenge and surprise.

Our performance times are usually confirmed closer to the show. We’ll post the times as soon as we can get them, so check back about a week before for updates.

All bags are searched prior to entry; therefore, to help speed things up and ensure your safety, we'd prefer if you didn't bring a bag to our venue.

Seated: Under 14 year olds MUST be accompanied by an adult aged 18yrs + with a valid ticket, into the venue. (i.e. 14yrs and over can come into the building on their own with a valid ticket).

Standing: Under 14 year olds are not permitted on a standing floor. 14 and 15 year olds are only permitted on a standing floor when accompanied by an adult aged 18yrs +.

The musicality of Windows hints at what listeners can expect from This Life , the band’s ninth studio album and their first since 2017’s Wonderland . “It’s been a wonderful experience being back in the studio together making this record. It has that feeling of spreading your wings, letting out the old and bringing in the new” commented the band. Throughout the writing and recording process, the band honed this new sound in some of music’s most hallowed halls, including New York’s Electric Lady Studios and Nashville’s Historic RCA Studio A which between them have hosted David Bowie, Dolly Parton, The Beach Boys, Adele, Taylor Swift, Maggie Rogers and more.

How to find best seats using Birmingham Utilita Arena NIA seating plan with seat and row numbers, UK? (formerly Barclaycard Arena)

In the end-stage fully seated configuration the best seats in the Birmingham Utilita Arena NIA (NIA National Indoor Arena) are the front rows in floor section A, and then B and C. Blocks D, E, F are OK however all floor seating is set on a flat floor so if a tall person is sitting (or standing) in front of you the view may be slightly obstructed/restricted. The floor rows are numbered from A up to X, whereas the seats are numbered from 1 to 18 ascending right to left when looking at the stage. When buying your tickets you can use the seating plan above to find the seat numbers offering optimum central view of the stage. Please note that for some shows the floor seats are removed and the entire floor section is general admission standing. Surrounding the floor are lower and upper tier blocks numbered 1-12. Lower tier seating offers great seats as well. The top seats are close to the stage in blocks 2, 11, and then 3, 10. In fact, these blocks should offer much better experience that floor blocks G, H, J. Blocks 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 offer a full view of the entire stage, however at a considerable distance so you will not probably be able to see the facial expressions of the performer. Row lettering in the lower tier is A-U and in the upper tier AA-PP. Tiered seating is numbered from 1 up to 547 right to left when looking at the stage. The venue has been renovated in 2014 with the financial support from the Barclays Barclaycard Unwind Experience.

Who's performing? Which members? Any special guests?

Take That now consist of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, two men down from the original line-up.

But both the other original members - Robbie Williams and Jason Orange - make appearances on the big screen to accompany some of the songs, and Lulu comes on stage in person to join the boys on their cover of disco classic Relight My Fire.

Robbie Williams is set to be on the big screen singing 1993 hit Everything Changes in new footage, which moved some fans to tears at earlier shows.

And then Jason Orange is seen playing the guitar on the screen to the lyrics.

Lulu was the featured female vocalist on Take That's Relight My Fire when it hit the UK top spot in 1993, one of the band's 12 No 1 singles. The song is a cover of a 1979 American disco anthem by Dan Hartman which featured Loleatta Holloway performing the vocal bridge we now associate with Lulu.

Tickets for the Birmingham shows are on sale from the  Ticket Factory official bookings page

Prices start at £61.75 plus a £2.55 fulfillment fee.

How to get to Arena Birmingham

For any rail services connecting to Birmingham New Street, it's a 15-minute walk from the station to Arena Birmingham.

The arena is 20 minutes on foot from Birmingham Snow Hill station and 25 minutes from Birmingham Moor Street station.

Where to park

Arena Birmingham has on-site public car park spaces in its North, South and West car parks.

West car park, with 744 spaces, is for pre-booked and Hospitality customers only. It's fully booked for Sunday.

The North car park has 550 spaces and the South car park has 862. They are just minutes away from the arena itself. The cost is £9 for six hours and £15 for nine hours.

The arena advises booking parking in advance for specific events, but you can pay at any time before exiting the car park via the payment kiosks, which take both cash and card, or via mobile. You can book a space via  Park Jockey .

Automatic Number Plate Recognition reads the registration plates of vehicles entering and exiting the car parks.

Peter Kay at Utilita Arena Birmingham - start and end time, tickets, bag policy and parking

P eter Kay is back in Brum tonight (Friday April 19). Following a 12 year hiatus, the funnyman returned to stand-up comedy with a massive UK tour. It all kicked off in Manchester in 2022 and he has been touring ever since.

He's at Utilita Arena Birmingham tonight and has a further nine shows between now and December 2025 as part of his Better Late Than Never tour. Peter Kay pledged to keep his ticket prices low when he first announced his come-back plan.

He told fans: "It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now. And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35 . The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010."

His 2010 tour still officially ranks with the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest selling comedy tour of all time.

• 6:30pm - Doors open. A selection of bars and caterers will be serving food and drink
• 8pm: The show begins
• 8.45pm: Interval
• 9.10pm: Second half of the Peter Kay show
• 10.15pm: Show ends
• 11pm: Curfew
• Timings are approximate and subject to change.

Bags policy

Utilita Arena says it is 'best for everyone if you don't bring a bag at all'. Should you choose to take a bag, you can only take one and it has to be no larger than an A4 sheet of paper, according to new criteria. That is 21cm by 30cm by 19cm, and it must only have a maximum of two compartments.

Rucksacks are not allowed. If you have no other option than to bring a large bag, there is a bag store costing £12 per person.

The postcode you need for your satnav to get to the Utilita Arena is B1 2AA. This falls within Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone so you may need to pay. You can check if your car is compliant with the Clean Air Zone here

Parking at the Utilita Arena

Utilita Arena has multiple car parks, visitors can park in the North and South car park and hospitality and pre-booked customers can park in the West. There is accessible parking on level nine, near entrance G. Pre-book parking online

Can I get the bus or train to the Utilita Arena?

The Utilita Arena is right in the city centre, so just a short walk from Birmingham New Street , Moor Street, Snow Hill and Five Ways train stations. Buses run past the arena all day everyday, you can find the best bus for you online

Alternatively, if you have got a coach into the city, Digbeth coach station is a 30 minute walk away or a short taxi ride.

What items are banned from the Utilita Arena?

According to the Utilita Arena website, you cannot take in the following items: hot food, alcohol, glass bottles, cans, flasks, cool boxes, hampers, large flags/banners, helium balloons, studded belts, dog collars, trouser chains, selfie sticks, sharp/large rings, smoke grenades, flares and fireworks.

Items will be confiscated and returned to you after the event, which may delay your access into and out of the Arena.
