"Nosso Lar" este un film ce ne prezintă în mod accesibil și simbolic o realitate suprafizică, pe care, posibil, o vom întâlni după moarte. Este unul dintre puținele pelicule ce descriu întâmplările unui suflet plecat în lumea de apoi, strădaniile sale de a se purifica de gunoiul mental acumulat în viața de om, munca sa continuă de a deveni folositor Universului.Filmul ne prezintă, simplu și clar, fundamentele mesajului spiritist și ne aduce în inimi un mesaj de optimism și speranță.

Poate mai puțin înțeleasă în film este zona inferioară numită Umbral, zonă destinată pentru epuizarea energiei reziduurilor mentale. Sunt multe suflete ezitante și ignorante, nu destul de pervertite pentru a fi trimise în colonii de corecție mai cumplite, dar nici destul de nobile ca să fie conduse către planurile elevate." Umbral poate fi înțeles și ca starea psihică în care spiritele nu reușesc să se debaraseze de propriile proiecții mentale nefaste sau idei fixe.

Astral City: A Spiritual Journey is a 2010 Brazilian drama film directed by Wagner de Assis. It is based on the book Nosso Lar by the Brazilian spiritualist and medium Chico Xavier.
