The Osmonds: See them then and now

The Osmond family made a splash in the music world more than 60 years ago, making their debut on an episode of "Disneyland After Dark" in 1962.

From there, they were discovered by Andy Williams' father, whose son then featured them as regulars on his show for the rest of the decade. By the early '70s, they were household names thanks to their bubblegum pop music, and a few of the siblings went on to launch solo careers and continue to keep the Osmond family name going in Hollywood.

In honor of youngest brother Jimmy's 61st birthday on April 16, 2024, we're checking in with the iconic sibling set...

Donny teamed up with sister Marie Osmond again in the late '90s for their "Donny & Marie" syndicated talk show and in 2019, they closed out an 11-year joint residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas. Donny returned to Sin City in 2021 to launch a solo residency at Harrah's Las Vegas and the same year, he released his 65th album, "Start Again." His residency is still running today, and he's set to head out on tour beginning in the summer of 2023. </p><p>Over the last two decades, he's also done a bit of hosting on the game show "Pyramid" from 2002 to 2004 (which earned him a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for outstanding game show host) and on the Miss USA Pageant alongside Marie in 2008. 💛Day 16 My Day to Day Diary of “THE OSMONDS FAN CLUB WONDERTOUR TO USA 1977” Day 16

Day 16 Monday 12th September 1977

Today we were to leave for LA International Airport again. We checked in ok & waited to board the plane at 3pm & left USA at 345pm (boo hoo), arriving UK at 945pm (hopefully). Goodnight everybody !

💋 BLOG set up in 2013….’So this is where my Diary ends…. I decided I would love to share so set up my Blogs…..so I hope you’ve enjoyed reading them……it made me laugh at all the ‘EXACT DETAILS’ I wrote about but being Age 17 at the time it was a ‘Very Special’ trip & meant the ‘World’ to me, I have left out some details on Day 5 Blog as I wrote pages & pages & pages on this special day, BUT I’m pleased I wrote the Diary as it’s been great fun blogging it. Would I do the trip all over again ? Definitely a BIG BIG YES x ‘ 💋
