Beyoncé 2023 Renaissance tour schedule

The Renaissance World Tour still has 11 concert dates across eight cities, including three shows in Inglewood, California. In addition to one stop in Vancouver, Canada, the remaining shows will be held in the United States. Tickets are the most expensive in Beyoncé's hometown of Houston, Texas. All concert times are listed in local time zones. We've linked to the ticket site with the cheapest deals (at the time of writing) in the 'Prices from' column.

Where to buy tickets for Beyoncé 2023 Renaissance tour

You can purchase original tickets to Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour through Ticketmaster , although only a select number remain for each 2023 date and location. However, the tickets still available on Ticketmaster are typically more expensive than those found on verified resale platforms such as StubHub and Vivid Seats .

The prices for standard tickets to Beyoncé's concerts from StubHub start at approximately $102 on the lower end to nearly $400, depending on the venue. Vivid Seats offers similar price ranges for standard Renaissance World Tour tickets, ranging from about $100 in Las Vegas to $375 in Houston. When considering VIP packages, the cost increases significantly on each purchasing platform.

How much are Beyoncé tickets?

The prices for original Beyoncé concert tickets have risen considerably since the end of the initial Verified Fan Sale through Ticketmaster. Additionally, the cost of an original ticket varies depending on the demand for a particular location and date.

For instance, the cheapest price on Ticketmaster for a standard original ticket to the 2023 Renaissance World Tour is $91.83 for her Las Vegas, Nevada show on August 27. However, there are very few standard original tickets remaining for Beyoncé's concerts, so you may have better luck with verified resales.

Meanwhile, some original VIP packages, such as the Pure/Honey on Stage Risers, cost well over $3,000. At Beyoncé's August 30 performance in Santa Clara, the original VIP package costs $3,601. On the less expensive side, original Beyhive VIP Package prices are $1,401 in Seattle. Here's a breakdown of the various Beyoncé VIP packages from Ticketmaster's website .

Original prices typically come in much higher than resale prices for Beyoncé concerts. Many of the cheaper tickets are verified resales for nearer tour dates, suggesting you might find the best prices when it gets closer to the concert date.

Who is opening for Beyoncé's tour?

Beyoncé's world tour does not include any opening acts from other artists. Once the showtime begins for each concert date, it will be the Queen Bey herself who comes onstage.

There are no traditional opening acts for the 2023 Renaissance World Tour because Beyoncé is technically the opener to her own concerts. The time typically reserved for other artists at the start of the concert instead sees Beyoncé sing R&B ballads from her early discography, beginning with her Destiny's Child-era 2000 song "Dangerously in Love 2."

Approximately four songs are played in Beyoncé's "Opening Act" before moving into her "Renaissance" tracks. The concert is approximately two and a half hours long with 31 songs on the setlist, so Beyoncé's tour has more than enough hit music to fill the night.

Since Beyoncé opened with the international leg of her ninth solo tour, the music sensation will take her final bow of the concert series on October 1 in Kansas City, Missouri. While the remaining concert dates are primarily in the United States, there will be one last international show in Vancouver, Canada, on September 11, 2023.

Tina Knowles praises Beyoncé and Taylor Swift for boosting the economy. See how much their tours have made

Tina Knowles is celebrating two of 2023’s hottest tickets — Beyoncé’s “Renaissance Tour” and Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.”

On Instagram , Knowles shared a screenshot of a Facebook post from New York Times , which linked out to an article that detailed the economic and cultural impact of her daughter Beyoncé’s tour.

In the caption of her post, Knowles wrote, “This is so awesome ! To b able to stimulate the economy is no small feat! @beyonce.”

Knowles also gave a sweet nod to Swift in her caption, adding, “And ! @taylorswift ! Just being young women and being able to say this , is so awesome!!! Proud of them both !”

Beyoncé and Swift’s tours overlapped in the United States during the summer. Both were a pop culture sensation, with social media platforms inundated by various trends coming out of each tour.

For Swift’s “Eras Tour,” friendship bracelets and DIY themed costumes became the norm while Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” world tour birthed the “mute” challenge and had concertgoers following her request for a silver theme in celebration of Virgo season.

With Beyoncé’s tour wrapping up on Oct. 1 and Swift’s on-going tour resuming Nov. 9 in Argentina, both tours have already generated millions of dollars along the way.

Read on to learn more about each tour's economic impact.

How much has the “Renaissance Tour” made?

Beyoncé’s “Renaissance Tour” kicked off May 10 in Sweden and will conclude Oct. 1 in Kansas City. Before the tour kicked off, Forbes estimated that Beyoncé would earn nearly $2.1 billion from her tour.

The “Cuff It” singer’s tour set multiple records over the summer, including back-to-back records for the highest one-month gross in history in both July and August, according to a Sept. report by Billboard .

In July, she grossed $127.6 million and in August, that number increased to $179 million. The outlet also reported the “Renaissance Tour” became the highest grossing tour by a female artist, surpassing Madonna's “Sticky & Sweet Tour” with $461.3 million.

During the “Renaissance Tour,” Beyoncé also gave back $2 million to students and small business through her charity foundation, BeyGOOD. Half of the donations went to entrepreneurs, with luncheons hosted by BeyGOOD the day before each show for a chance to win a $100 thousand grant. The other portion of the $2 million donation was allocated to the Renaissance Scholarship Fund.

Beyoncé’s tour spawned several special moments over the course of its run, including a special tribute to the late Tina Turner , a birthday surprise from Diana Ross , as well as numerous performances alongside her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy.

It was also a hotspot for celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Vanessa Bryant, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, and more.

How much has the “Eras Tour” made?

Swift’s “Eras Tour” originally ran from March 17 through August 9. Throughout the year, Swift added on additional dates including several international dates in 2023 and 2024 as well as additional 2024 dates in the United States and internationally.

While Swift’s tour still has 13 months to go, so far it’s been estimated she's earned $1 billion in sales , with Pollstar estimating the singer will exceed $1.4 billion in the new year .

Swift's economic impact far has exceeded solely ticket sales, too. The tour also increased revenue for hotels across the country, with fans flocking to each city to experience her career-sprawling performances.

It was also reported Swift made several donations with her tour’s earnings, including donating to local food banks at each stop and gifting $100,000 bonus checks to her truck drivers at the end of the U.S. leg of the tour.

The singer’s tour is also set to hit the big screen in the United States, and now internationally. In a press release, AMC said that it took less than 24 hours for the film to “shatter AMC’s U.S. record for the highest ticket-sales revenue during a single day in AMC’s 103-year history.”

Swift’s “Eras Tour” was not without its faults though.

The singer spoke out against Ticketmaster after fans struggled to obtain tickets to the tour due to “historically unprecedented demand” causing the website to crash. The debacle sparked public scrutiny, including questions from senators , and elicited changes from the company before Beyoncé’s “Renaissance Tour” tickets went on sale.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour Reaches All-Time High with Single Month Earning

Tina Benitez-Eves

Updated:

In May 2023, Beyoncé had the top-grossing tour before slipping into the No. 2 spot in June. Now, her Renaissance World Tour has climbed back to No. 1 on the Top Tours chart for the month of July, according to Billboard , after earning $127.6 million for a run of 11 shows between July 8 and 30.

Videos by American Songwriter

The tour earnings mark the largest one-month sum for an artist within the history of the Billboard Boxscore archives. When the Renaissance World Tour kicked off in May 2023, Beyoncé became the  first woman  to top the chart since 2019 when Pink went to No. 1 with her Beautiful Trauma World Tour.

Beyoncé’s recent five-date residency at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England was also the highest-grossing engagement by an American artist, a Black artist, and a woman, with gross earnings of $42.2 million.

Her July record surpasses  Bad Bunny ’s previous top-grossing month in September 2022. Prior to Bad Bunny’s big tour month, no artist reported earnings of $100 million within one month since the charts launched in 2019.

In addition to Beyoncé’s record-breaking earnings, her recent two-night shows at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, July 29-30, also topped the Top Boxscores chart by selling 106,000 tickets and earning $33.1 million. Additionally, her two shows at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois peaked at No, grossing $30.1 million, followed by her two shows at Roger’s Centre in Toronto at $18.3 million (at No. 7), and four other spots on the chart — at Nos. 20, 24, 27, and 30 — which is more than any other artist.

[RELATED: Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour Is Highest Grossing of Any R&B Artist]

The Renaissance World Tour has grossed $295.8 million total through Aug. 1, and marks Beyoncé’s highest-grossing tour of all time. Renaissance has already surpassed her The Formation World Tour in 2016, which earned $256 million, and her On the Run II Tour joint headlining tour with husband Jay-Z, in 2018, which brought in $253 million.

Her current tour is estimated to break the half-billion mark by the end of its run on October 1 in Kansas City, Missouri.

How much did Beyoncé make on the Renaissance Tour? See her growing empire

Call her Queen Bey, Mrs. Carter or Sasha Fierce, one thing is clear: Beyoncé Knowles runs the world.

Since she hit the scene as a child rapper in the kids group Girls Tyme in 1990, Beyoncé has built a half-a-billion-dollar empire that spans music, entertainment, fashion and a flurry of lucrative investments and endorsement deals. This year, her record-breaking 56-stop Renaissance tour — a dazzling mix of robotic arms, pyrotechnics and a flying holographic horse — helped power the U.S. economy.

See how much money Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour actually made

As the Renaissance tour heads this weekend to the silver screen, here’s a look at how the diva herself got some respect on her check.

Smart enough to make these millions

Beyoncé is a lot of things: Performer, entrepreneur, fashion icon. And they all have contributed to her fast-growing fortune.

Her net worth has soared 20 percent in the last year to $540 million, according to Forbes. That’s nearly enough to buy every person in her hometown of Houston a bottle of her $160 perfume, plus a couple of official Renaissance T-shirts.

The bulk of Beyoncé’s wealth comes from her 20-year solo career. The “Flawless” singer has sold more than 200 million albums, won a record 32 Grammy Awards and become the most-awarded artist at the MTV Video Music Awards, BET Awards and NAACP Image Awards.

She’s also started multiple companies — including Parkwood Entertainment, the production firm behind the 2008 musical biopic “Cadillac Records” — and signed lucrative endorsement deals with such global brands as PepsiCo, Samsung, L’Oreal and American Express.

Stacking money everywhere she goes

She works for the money and she ain’t sorry.

With 56 shows over five months, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour cemented the performer as one of the most successful touring artists of all time. Billboard Boxscore lists Renaissance as the seventh highest-grossing tour in history, behind Elton John, U2 and Coldplay. Beyoncé is the only woman and the only Black artist to crack the Top 10.

The Renaissance tour drew more than 2.7 million fans to stadiums around the world, according to Live Nation, boosting tourism in Beyoncé’s tour cities. In Stockholm, the traveling “Beyhive” was even blamed for driving Sweden’s May inflation higher than expected.

Seeing Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ film? Here is our list of do’s and don’ts.

Over the years, Beyoncé’s tours have grown in scale and earnings. Her first solo tour featured shows in Europe and the United Kingdom. Her next tour, the Beyoncé Experience, was a global production that earned nearly $25 million — or about $35 million in today’s dollars — an impressive showing that amounts to just 6 percent of Queen Bey’s Renaissance haul.

A Mastermind in haute couture

Beyoncé’s expanding business empire includes investment in multiple companies, including flavored water company Lemon Perfect and Parisian fashion brand Destree, according to PitchBook Data.

Her own companies have included the fashion line House of Deréon and production company Parkwood Entertainment, which produced her 2019 concert film “Homecoming,” according to Billboard. Parkwood is also the parent company for athleisure clothing line Ivy Park, which recently ended its partnership with Adidas. Ivy Park posted on Instagram in November that “a new era awaits.”

In addition, she served as a global brand ambassador for Pepsi — a $50 million campaign, the New York Times estimated — and also collaborates with her husband on the music-streaming service Tidal, which sold a majority stake to the payment company Block for roughly $237 million.

Beyoncé knows better than to be reckless in a Givenchy dress and uses the stage to lift her businesses. She and her dancers frequently wear outfits from Ivy Park; the all-black outfit from the final show of the Renaissance tour in October is now sold out.

A Texas baby

Beyoncé often sings about her fondness for Houston. And her hometown loves her back. In September, Harris County (where Houston is located) officially renamed itself “Bey County” during the star’s two-night Renaissance tour stop.

Ticket sales for the Renaissance Tour’s Houston shows alone totaled $31.3 million. Meanwhile, visitors spent $18.2 million at Houston-area hotels — up 45 percent from the same weekend in 2022, according to Houston First Corporation.

To drum up excitement, city officials threw a homecoming bash for Queen Bey — complete with fireworks, a drone light show and cover bands playing her biggest hits. Some 5,000 people attended the free downtown celebration.

“It turned out even bigger than we could’ve imagined,” said Michael Heckman, chief executive of Houston First, which organized the event at the urging of Mayor Sylvester Turner. “When you have a hometown hero like Beyoncé coming back for a major concert, we just had to do something big that would be befitting of the star she is.”

She’s building her own foundation

She may be stingy with her love, but Beyoncé is making sure when she leaves this world she’ll have no regrets. For the last 10 years, she has focused on providing economic opportunities to people in underprivileged and marginalized communities through the BeyGood Foundation .

During the Renaissance tour, for example, she gave $2 million to entrepreneurs and college students, doling out $10,000 scholarships and $100,000 small-business grants in cities along the way. The Black Parade Route, created in 2020, brings together Black business owners around the world for networking luncheons and awards grants, funding hundreds of Black entrepreneurs.

The nonprofit has supported families dealing with disasters, including hurricanes in Houston and Orlando, and a lack of clean drinking water in Flint, Mich. Beyoncé has also given millions to Knowles-Temenos Place, a housing complex in Houston that helps the homeless.

World Wide Woman

If there’s one thing Beyoncé knows how to do, it’s make the most of every opportunity. And the Renaissance tour is no exception. Beyoncé is bringing the Renaissance World Tour to movie theaters around the world starting Nov. 30 — a shining new addition to the larger B universe.

Beyonce’s ‘renaissance world tour’ is officially the biggest billboard boxscore earner for 2023.

It’s Beyoncé’s world, and we’re just living in it!

According to Billboard, the “Dangerously In Love” crooner has officially become the biggest Boxscore earner for 2023 thanks to her “Renaissance World Tour.”

Per the report, Beyoncé drew in roughly $579.8 million, selling 2.8 million tickets to the highly anticipated event, which kicked off on May 10 and concluded on Oct. 1.

The entire tour has been filled with milestones for the Houston, TX, native.

Now that it has fully come to a close, and the numbers are in, the sentiment is still the same.

As previously reported by AFROTECH, her “Renaissance World Tour” was the highest-grossing one of her career, which first began in 1998 when she and her friends and fellow Texans, LaToya Luckett, Latavia Roberson, and Kelly Rowland debuted as Destiny’s Child.

Moreover, when she announced “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” which takes viewers through the creative process behind the aforementioned world tour, it caused shares at AMC Entertainment Holdings to spike by 1.5%.

Additionally, when the European leg of her tour closed with a total of $154.4 million in earnings, it made Beyoncé the first woman to be No. 1 on the Top Tours chart in nearly four years.

In true Beyoncé nature, she didn’t rake in all of that money without paying it forward. In fact, her BeyGOOD Foundation, established in 2013, spearheaded several initiatives during her tour stops within the states.

From donating $100,000 in scholarship funding to Detroit students to helping a Chicago wedding and event agency that was facing hardship through a $10,000 gift, Beyoncé’s “Renaissance World Tour” was the gift that kept giving… until the very end.

What’s more, the continued success of the “Break My Soul” singer can serve as a testament to what happens when one simply bets on oneself.

“I started my company [Parkwood Entertainment] and my father taught me so, so much,” Beyoncé said in a speech during the release of her 2013 self-titled album. “When I decided to manage myself, it was important that I didn’t go to some big management company. I felt like I wanted to follow in the footsteps of Madonna and be my own powerhouse and have my own empire and show other women when you get to this point in your career, you don’t have to sign with someone else and share your money and your success.”

These wins are proof that the risk may have totally been worth the reward in the end!

Break my soul, break these records: Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour by the numbers

Meanwhile, it's been 15 months since Renaissance dropped and we're still listening to it. No skips.

The Renaissance World Tour has come to a close, leaving a trail of snatched wigs, discarded silver lamé, and depleted checkbooks in its wake.

All in all, Beyoncé 's ninth concert tour pulled in $579 million, making it the highest-grossing tour by a female artist in history, and the seventh-highest-grossing tour overall.

But if you look at it based on number of shows, Queen Bey maintains her crown. The Renaissance Tour had 56 shows that ran the course of the summer versus, say, the No. 6 highest-grossing tour, Guns N' Roses three-year, 158-show Never In This Lifetime... Tour.

And then there's the average gross per show: Bey made $10.3 million per show, compared to the highest-grossing tour of all-time, Elton John 's Farewell Yellow Brick Road, which averaged $2.8 million per show (it ran for five years and 330 shows, grossing $939.1 million).

The Renaissance Tour also broke Billboard's record for biggest one-month gross with $127.6 million.

All that money helped boost the American economy, with The New York Times estimating that the Bey bump generated about $4.5 billion, comparable to what the 2008 Olympics did for Beijing.

Across 10 countries and 39 cities, the Renaissance Tour machine employed 304 people, as Beyoncé gagged 2.7 million fans in 148 different looks from over 35 fashion houses, while singing 34 songs per night.

And for those who missed out on the live o-p-u-l-e-n-c-e, there's a Renaissance concert film coming to theaters Dec. 1, fulfilling the promise of those long-awaited visuals.

And we only had to wait 490 days. But who's counting?

‘Taylornomics’ and Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour: what are the most lucrative music tours ever?

beyonce world tour earnings

It’s a good year for pop music fans, as two of the world’s biggest acts are currently on tour: over the last several months both Beyoncé and Taylor Swift have been travelling the world playing to sold out stadiums.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour began in May and saw the artist play five consecutive nights at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in June. Swift’s Eras tour launched in March; she is currently in the US and will play in London next summer.

The tours of both artists have already raked in approximately $300 million each. This places Taylor Swift at the fifth spot and Beyoncé at the sixth spot on the list of the highest-grossing tours of the decade.

But the success of the sold-out shows doesn’t stop there: Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour has broken Beyoncé’s own record, becoming the highest-grossing tour by any Black artist ever, having already made $295 million and with another 20 shows yet to go ahead. Beyoncé has easily surpassed the takings of both her 2016 The Formation World Tour, which earned $256 million, and her 2013-2014 The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which made $229 million.

And without adjusting for inflation, Beyoncé has also far exceeded the takings of both Michael Jackson’s 1987-1989 Bad World Tour (which earned $125 million) and Tina Turner’s 1987-88 Break Every Rule tour (which earned $60 million).

Similarly, Taylor Swift’s Eras tour has already made over $300 million, which has surpassed the takings of her 2015 The 1989 World Tour, which earned $250 million. Her 2018 Reputation Stadium Tour made $345 million dollars, and given that Swift is still yet to complete nearly half of her tour, its extremely likely that she will smash her own personal best soon too.

In December, Billboard predicted that Swift would make as much as $590 million when the Eras concerts are completed, and back then the American pop star had only planned 52 stops. Swift has been adding dates to her tour ever since, and she is now set to stage a whopping 146 performances. If Swift continues to make money in line with Billboard’s projections, the artist could make as much as $1 billion by the end of the worldwide tour.

Even if she doesn’t reach that mind-blowing figure, Swift is on track to smash the record for the top female solo artist on the tour money rankings. Madonna currently sits at the top spot: her 2008-2009 Sticky & Sweet Tour made $411 million (which is around $560 million when adjusted for inflation).

Swift is also reportedly having a major financial impact on the cities she visits: “It’s simple Taylornomics: When Taylor Swift comes to town, Swifties go on a spending spree,” said the Wall Street Journal. In July, The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia said that Swift’s concerts had helped to increase tourism in the region – a pattern that is emerging across the country.

So who tops the charts?

Elton John is the artist who has earnt the most from a single tour, raking in a whopping $939 million for his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which came to a close in June.

The 76-year Rocket Man singer said goodbye at this year’s Glastonbury, playing to a crowd of approximately 100,000 people – the performance was described by The Standard’s Dylan Jones as “ primal gratification on a massive scale ”.

Ed Sheeran is second on the money list, with his Divide Tour (2017-19) having made $776 million, while U2 sits at third place, with their 360° Tour (2009-2011) having made $736 million.

However, when these figures are adjusted for inflation, it’s reportedly U2 who actually sit at the top of the highest-earners list.

The list of top 20 highest-earning tours of all time includes a number of bands: Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Metallica and The Police; major pop stars: Harry Styles, Madonna, Bruno Mars and Pink; country singers: Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood; and standout rock act Roger Waters.

When the list is narrowed down to the top earners of this decade, it shifts to include international acts such as Bad Bunny, Blackpink, and Daddy Yankee, showing the diversification of music over recent years.

The 2022 World’s Hottest Tour from Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, who was crowned Spotify’s most-streamed artist last year after clocking 18.5 billion streams, earned $314 million, placing him at fourth place on the list. Meanwhile the K-pop girl group come in at eighth on the list with their ongoing Born Pink World Tour. It has made $220 million so far. The 83-date La Última Vuelta World Tour from Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee, made $198 million last year, placing him at ninth on the list.

Coldplay, who have made $617 million and counting from their ongoing Music of the Spheres World Tour, sit at the top of the list.

Taylor Swift is set to play in London on June 21, 22 and 23 and August 15, 16 and 17 2024

Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance World Tour’ Is Officially The Biggest Billboard Boxscore Earner For 2023

Superstar Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has made millions from her illustrious, decades-long career as an artist. Beyoncé's latest Renaissance World Tour, which wrapped in October 2023, made a total of $579 million across Europe and the U.S., making it the highest-grossing tour by a Black artist, a record Beyoncé set herself with the Formation World Tour.

In August, Beyoncé had the highest one-month gross in history with $179.3 million in ticket sales, surpassing her own record she set in July, per Touring Data.

Beyoncé's shows at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium were the highest-grossing concerts by a female artist in history, earning more than $16.5 million on July 29 and 30, according to Chart Data.

The superstar also released a concert film of the tour in December, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, which topped the box office and earned $21 million on its opening weekend. The film was written, directed, and produced by Beyoncé.

Key Takeaways

  • Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has a net worth of $540 million as of June 2023.
  • Beyonce's Renaissance World Tour earned $579 million across Europe and the U.S.
  • The Renaissance Tour became the highest-grossing tour by a Black artist, a record Beyoncé previously set with her Formation World Tour.
  • Beyoncé is also an entrepreneur and has made millions from businesses including a production company and clothing line.

In addition to her successful career as a singer spanning multiple decades and genres, the multi-hyphenate artist has launched various businesses and entered lucrative brand partnerships over the years as she continues to build her empire alongside billionaire husband Jay-Z .

Beyoncé has a net worth of $540 million as of June 2023. Here's how she made her millions.

Album Sales and Concerts

Beyoncé's successful career has spanned more than 20 years, in which time she has released eight studio albums (14 if you include the deluxe versions of her albums and live albums), and 82 singles.

Earlier this year, the Alien Superstar singer made history at the Grammys by becoming the most-nominated female artist in Grammy history, with a total of 88 nominations. She is tied with Jay-Z, who also holds the most-nominated title with 88 nominations.

The pop star has been known to use unconventional ways to market her albums. Beyoncé's eponymous album, which she released in December 2013 with no announcement, had more than 800,000 downloads on iTunes in the first three days of its release and was the fastest-selling album on iTunes at the time.

Her visual album Lemonade , known as Beyoncé's most raw and edgy album to date, was the world's best-selling album in 2016, and won a Peabody Award the same year.

Her latest album, Renaissance sold more than 1 million total units in the U.S. in 2022.

While Renaissance is her highest-grossing tour yet, Beyoncé has earned millions from her other concert tours, too. Her 2016 Formation World Tour earned a total of $256.1 million, while her 2018 On the Run II Tour she did with Jay-Z earned $253.5 million.

Private Performances

Beyoncé has also earned millions from some private performances.

In January 2023, Beyoncé was paid about $24 million when she performed at the launch of the Atlantis the Royal hotel in Dubai. The gig topped a Forbes' list of the 10 most expensive private performances.

Beyoncé appears twice on the list—she performed at Isha Ambani's pre-wedding events in India in 2018, and earned an estimated $4 million, according to the Hindustan Times. Isha Ambani is the daughter of Indian billionaire, Mukesh Ambani , who is one of the richest people in the world.

Among her many talents, Beyoncé is also an actress. Her film credits include Dreamgirls, Austin Powers in Goldmember, Obsessed, Cadillac Records, and most recently, The Lion King (2019). Beyoncé was paid an estimated $15 million for her role playing the voice of Nala in The Lion King as well as for lending her vocals for the film's soundtrack, according to StyleCaster.

Beyoncé is also a savvy entrepreneur, and has made millions from launching lucrative businesses such as a production company, clothing line, and even an upcoming fragrance and line of hair products.

The Grammy-winning singer supports small businesses too. Beyoncé's BeyGood foundation surprised 12 Atlanta-based Black-owned small business owners with $10,000 grants during her stop in the city for the Renaissance Tour.

Parkwood Entertainment

In 2010, Beyoncé founded her own production, management, and entertainment company, Parkwood Entertainment, which she uses to produce movies, music, and clothing. Projects produced through the company include two of Beyoncé's films, Cadillac Records and Obsessed, Beyoncé's documentary, Life Is But a Dream, and Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.

Parkwood Entertainment also launched Beyoncé's streetwear and athleisure line with Adidas, Ivy Park. Ivy Park brought in $93 million in revenue in 2021, and $40 million in 2022, before Beyoncé and Adidas parted ways in 2023.

Beyoncé has ventured into beauty, too. In November 2023, Beyoncé launched a perfume, Cé Noir, which retails for $160 per bottle.

The 'Crazy in Love' singer also teased a hair care line on her Instagram in May 2023, but further information is yet to be released.

Brand Partnerships

Adding to her list of accolades and titles, Beyoncé is also a model and brand ambassador who has had many lucrative partnerships with brands over the years. In 2012, Beyoncé signed a $50 million deal with PepsiCo ( PEP ).

In 2019, Beyoncé signed a $60 million contract with Netflix ( NFLX ) for a three-project deal, according to Variety. The first special Homecoming, a behind-the-scenes look at her 2018 Coachella performance, is already on Netflix.

In March 2023, Beyoncé created a couture collection in collaboration with Swatch Group ( SWGAY ) owned-French fashion house, Balmain. The collection features 16 couture outfits inspired by the songs on Beyoncé's Renaissance album.

In July 2023, the singer announced a partnership with LVMH-owned ( LVMUY ) Tiffany & Co., called The Return to Tiffany x Beyoncé Collection. All of the profits from the sales of the collection will go to the About Love scholarship program, which is part of Beyoncé's BeyGood foundation.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour: How Much Money Could It Make?

The superstar's first solo tour in seven years may finish as her highest-grossing trek ever.

By Eric Frankenberg

Eric Frankenberg

Beyoncé released Renaissance , her seventh solo studio album, in July 2022 to rapturous acclaim and No. 1 status on the Billboard 200 and, for lead single “Break My Soul,” No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 . But unlike 2016’s Lemonade and 2013’s Beyoncé , there were no concerts and no televised performances — not even a music video.

Lee Youngji

Lee Youngji Wants to Spotlight Her 'Musician Mode' & Get Drunk With Fans on First U.S. Tour

A Beyoncé tour used to be a given every couple of years, but the Renaissance world tour will launch seven years after her last solo outing, 2016’s The Formation world tour. That was her first solo trek in stadiums, though neither the show’s stellar reviews nor fans’ insatiable demand hinted at her rookie status. The tour earned $256.1 million and sold 2.2 million tickets, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, finishing atop Billboard ’s year-end Top Tours chart.

In the years since, Beyoncé mounted On the Run II, her second stadium tour alongside Jay-Z following 2014’s On the Run. The stadium trek came close to Beyoncé’s solo high mark but finished with $253.5 million and 2.2 million tickets — coming within 1% of Formation’s gross and 3% of its attendance despite the doubled-up star-power. The strength of Beyoncé’s solo tour among her entire live history perhaps speaks to her unique draw as one of the century’s most singular live entertainers.

The Formation world tour marked a 21% improvement upon the $212 million take of 2013-14’s The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which spanned 126 dates in arenas.

This summer’s Renaissance world tour was announced with 15 shows in Europe in May and June, followed by 26 shows in the U.S. and Canada.

That 41-show sum is slightly shorter than The Formation World Tour’s 49 and On the Run II Tour’s 48. But while Renaissance could trail her previous outings in cumulative gross because of a more compact schedule, that scenario is unlikely, considering the industry’s plumped-up ticketing.

In efforts to redirect second-and-third-party ticket sales to the artist, dynamic pricing, platinum ticketing and fan-to-fan re-sale have sent grosses soaring in the post-pandemic era. Beyoncé’s 2016 and 2018 tours averaged $114 and $116 per ticket, but that number will likely be far closer to, if not more than, $200 in 2023.

And like with Billboard ’s early projections for Taylor Swift and Madonna , Beyoncé’s initial routing announcement may just be the singer playing coy. Per the first announced round of shows, London is the only market with more than one show, while previous Beyoncé tours also doubled up in New York, Chicago, Paris, Houston and more. More dates could be announced in some of the routing’s open spaces due to expectedly high demand. As the routing stands at press time, there are often four or five days between shows, with long stretches between May 30 (London) and June 8 (Barcelona), and Sept. 2 and 11 (Inglewood, Calif., and Vancouver).

The continental splits for Formation and OTR2 were similar to that of Renaissance , with slightly over one-third of the entire tour in Europe and the other 60-65% in North America. Grosses and attendance lined up, too — $86.9 million and 867,000 tickets in Europe on Formation and $87 million and 871,000 tickets on OTR2, versus $169.1 million and 1.4 million tickets in North America on Formation and $166.5 million and 1.3 million on OTR2.

Given her consistent sell-out stadium business and an expected 30%-plus lift on ticket prices, the Renaissance world tour could be earning $6.8 million-$7.5 million per show. At the low end of that projection, with no additional shows, total gross would be heading for a personal-best $275 million. With just a few extra shows, at the top of that range, she’d notch her first $300 million tour.

Across her career, Beyoncé has grossed $767.3 million and sold 8.9 million tickets across 375 shows, including those with Jay-Z and the Verizon Ladies First Tour, a co-headline run with Missy Elliott and Alicia Keys in 2004. That means that the Renaissance world tour is setting her up to be one of three women to potentially cross the billion-dollar mark this year. Swift’s Eras Tour is sure to push her over the edge, while P!nk ’s Summer Carnival Tour could do the trick as well.

Renaissance was Beyoncé’s seventh No. 1 album, while “Break My Soul” marked Beyoncé’s eighth No. 1 song. When album cut “Cuff It” shot to No. 10 on the Hot 100 in January, it became the 21st top 10 Hot 100 song of her solo career. The Renaissance world tour is scheduled to kick off May 10 at Stockholm’s Friends Arena and wrap Sept. 27 at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome.

Beyoncé's 'Renaissance World Tour' Rakes In $579M In Revenue

There is only one competitor for Beyoncé, and that is herself.

Variety reports her masterful “Renaissance World Tour,” produced by Parkwood Entertainment, generated over $579 million in revenue. These numbers are supported by 2.7 million fans who were adorned in silver outfits and jewelry across 56 dates in 39 cities.

The Renaissance world tour is the most revolutionary tour of the century. Lasers, dancing with robots, color-changing clothing, a telescoping stage with optical illusions. Beyoncé has set, once again, the standard for the performances of the future. pic.twitter.com/4nnC1kQw4i — virgo’s grooviest (@virgosgrooviest) July 25, 2023

The “Renaissance World Tour” will be remembered as a significant moment in entertainment. Fans have cemented in their memories distinct moments that cannot be duplicated, whether it’s Beyoncé’s dance segment featuring robot arms during “Cuff It,” the “mute challenge” during “Energy,” or the surprise birthday appearance by Diana Ross, one of her inspirations.

What’s more, the tour also marks a pivotal shift for the Houston, TX-born artist as it has allowed her to break away from the notions of trying to be perfect.

“This show is about enjoying life,” Beyoncé  expressed d uring her stop at  MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, per Billboard.

Her ability to encourage fans of all walks of life to partake in joy is what has vastly contributed to the tour’s monumental success, according to Billboard.

Per the outlet’s Boxscore, Beyoncé had broken the record for the highest grossing one-month tour in July 2023. The feat was later broken one month later by none other than herself, as the tour pocketed an impressive $179.3 million from 14 shows.

It is clear, Beyoncé dedication to her artistic journey continues to impress at the box office.

Although the tour has now reached its end, Beyoncé will have a chance to break barriers in a new arena.

As AFROTECH just told you, “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” will be out in a theater near you starting Dec. 1. The concert film will be released through AMC Entertainment Holdings. Fans can also watch the epic show at Cinemark, Regal, Cineplex, and Cinepolis.

The excitement has already spurred shares of AMC Entertainment Holdings to spike by 1.5% during premarket trading Oct. 2.
