At the early morning, assemble at Stulang Laut Ferry Terminal.Depart by high speed ferry to Batam. Upon arriving at Batam center International Ferry Terminal, you will be greeted by the tour guide and escorted to an awaiting air-conditioned bus before proceeding for the One Day Batam City & Shopping Tour, en route, you will visit:

Then go to a local restaurant for a Chinese-style dinner. Last stop we will visit the newly established and internet-famous DeepSea Beach Club in Batam (entrance fees included). Paket tour Bintan 3d2n disertai Batam ini dimulai dari penjemputan ke bandara Hang Nadim untuk selanjutnya langsung menuju Pelabuhan Punggur demi destinasi ke Tanjung Pinang. Destinasi dari Pelabuhan Sri Bintan Pura akan langsung berlanjut menuju Palantar 2 untuk tur wisata sejarah Melayu.

Tur tersebut dimulai menyeberangi ke pulau Penyengat menggunakan perahu tradisional pompong. Sampai di Senggarang wisatawan bisa menikmati pemandangan unik kelenteng serta patung-patung dewa. Wisatawan kemudian mendapat layanan makan siang di salah satu restoran halal yang ternama ya.

The air is cool and dry and there are not yet many tourists (compared to the peak season of late December to early January). The period after school holiday from March to April is also a great time to visit as there are many amusing festivals in and around Bintan. 

Bintan is a safe place to be in. Here and there there can be petty crimes such as pick pocketing, so beware of your belongings.

It really depends on how much time you have got. The minimum recommended duration is 3 days while you can stay as long as 1 week to fully enjoy the city. Although Bintan island does not seem to have a lot of things to do at first sight, one will have to dig deeper to know the must-dos. From nightly street food scenes to the hidden shopping alleys, and occasional visit to craft village, specially in Tanjung Pinang. Batam-Bintan is Now Officially Open! Here are The Rules and Regulations as of 31 August 2022

JAKARTA, 31 August 2022 - President Joko Widodo has approved the plan to open the tourist door for Batam and Bintan after various preparations were carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Batam and Bintan entrances are accepting international travelers starting from 24 January 2022 with specific rules and regulations. Starting from 18 May 2022, traveling to Indonesia becomes more convenient with no RT-PCR test results required to be taken prior to departure from the country or region of origin . Be sure to catch all the details below!

Entering with  Visa Exemption Arrangement Facility and Visa On Arrival

According to the Circular Letter of the Directorate General of Immigration No. IMI-0650.GR.01.01 of 2022 concerning the Ease of Immigration to Support Sustainable Tourism during the COVID-19 Pandemic effective from 27 July 2022, the Indonesian government has added countries and special entities whose citizens can enter Riau Islands with Visa Exemption and Visa On Arrival (VOA) for leisure purpose.

The details of the updated rules and regulation can be found on this link and can be summarized as follows according to Circular Letter of the COVID-19 Task Force Number 25 of 2022 concerning Health Protocols for International Travel during the COVID-19 Pandemic:

Visit Visa Exemption or Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose can be issued accordingly with the following requirements:

1. Passport (diplomatic/official/ordinary) that is valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months,

2. A return ticket or a pass to continue the trip to another country,

3. Proof of payment of PNBP Visa on Arrival of 500,000 IDR (in the case of applying for a Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose), and

4. Proof of ownership of health insurance which includes financing for handling COVID-19 and medical evacuation to a referral hospital.

The entry stamp on the granting of a Visit Visa Exemption or Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose will be valid as a Visit Stay Permit with the certain period, as follows:

Visit Visa Exemption: maximum 30 days and cannot be extended.

Visa on Arrival: maximum of 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days at the Immigration Office in the area where the foreign national lives. 

• Visit Visa Exemption or Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose can also be granted for foreign nationals on official visit or government duties to attend international events , for which shall be applied additional requirement: to enclose an invitation letter issued by the Indonesian government to attend the international conferences/trials/meetings.
• The provision of Visit Visa Exemption or Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose as stipulated above applies to holders of diplomatic passports, service passports, or ordinary/general passports.

Entering with E-Visa

According to the Circular Letter of the COVID-19 Task Force Number 25 of 2022 concerning Health Protocols for International Travel during the COVID-19 Pandemic , which came into effect on 31 August 2022, there are also other entries to the Riau Islands, available for e-visa holders.

All International travelers, both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals can enter Indonesia through the entry points assigned, which are:

a. Airports

• Hang Nadim International Airport, Batam Island;
• Raja Haji Fisabilillah International Airport, Bintan Island;

All international seaports in Indonesia are now opened as entry points for international travel through the consideration of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation.

Health Protocols

International travelers must comply with health protocols detailed in this link according to the Circular Letter of the COVID-19 Task Force Number 22 of 2022 concerning Health Protocol for International Travel during the COVID-19 Pandemic . These protocols can be summarized as follows:

1. All foreign travelers (foreign nationals) who will enter the territory of the Republic of Indonesia shall adjust the general travel requirements to be allowed to enter the territory of Indonesia, which includes the use of PeduliLindungi app as well as showing a card/certificate (physical or digital) proving that you have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered at least 14 days before departure.

2. Foreign travelers are not required to show a negative RT-PCR test result in which samples were taken in the country or region of origin.

3. Upon arrival at the entry points, foreign travelers must undergo a COVID-19 symptom check, including a body temperature check, with the following conditions :

If there is no symptom of COVID-19 and body temperature is below 37.5 degrees Celsius: no need to undergo RT-PCR examination upon arrival

If there is any symptom of COVID-19 or body temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius: must undergo RT-PCR examination upon arrival.

4. As a requirement for domestic travel or departure abroad from Indonesia, international travelers with the status of Indonesian citizens aged 18 years and above must present a card/certificate (physical or digital) of receiving the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine (booster) displayed through the PeduliLindungi application. 5. The provision regarding the period of isolation (quarantine) no longer applies. All foreign travelers without symptoms related to COVID-19 and whose body temperature is below 37.5 degrees Celsius are able to continue their journey. However, it is highly recommended to monitor their health independently.

6. The provision for showing COVID-19 vaccination certificate (physical or digital) is excluded for all foreign travelers with the following categories:

Foreign nationals who hold diplomatic or official visas related to official/state visits of their foreign officials at the ministerial level and above and foreign nationals who enter Indonesia under the Travel Corridor Arrangement scheme, according to the principle of reciprocity;

Foreign nationals who intend to travel domestically in order to go outside the territory of Indonesia, as long as they do not leave the airport area during the transit process, provided that they (i) have been authorized by the Port Health Office and (ii) show the flight ticket schedule for direct transit from the city of departure to the international airport in Indonesia;

Under 18 years of age;

Currently undergo post-COVID recovery and have been declared clear from COVID-19, as evidenced by a COVID-19 recovery certificate from a public hospital or Ministry of Health in the country/region of origin of departure; or

Have a special health condition or comorbid disease that prevents the foreign travelers from receiving the COVID-19 vaccination, as evidenced by a doctor's certificate from a public hospital of the country/region of origin of departure.

7. The above policies are temporary and will be readjusted according to global health developments.

Substitutions within a team are allowed during the registration period within the following conditions:

• The replacing riders must be of the same team and same category.
• The team must have at least 8 riders registered.
• The team is allowed to substitute 2 riders only
• New rider must meet the minimum age requirement.
• Disclaimer must be read and agreed to by all replacement riders
• MetaSport holds the right to refuse substitutions
• Strictly no changes once registration has officially closed. Any requests after this date are no longer honored.

Yes, bag deposit is provided for all participants near the bike depot.

Only conventional road bikes are allowed in the Gran Fondo Classic and Century.

For the Gran Fondo Challenge and Discovery, conventional road bikes, mountain bikes and hybrid bikes are allowed.

Tandems, recumbent bicycles or hand cycles are also allowed in the Gran Fondo Challenge and Discovery, but they must start at the rear of the peloton

Triathlon handlebars, aerobars, bar extensions and bull horns are not allowed.

Handlebar ends have to be solidly plugged.

Participants must at least be 18 years old to take part in the Individual Time Trial, Gran Fondo Classic and Gran Fondo Century events, and 19 years old to qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in the Individual Time Trial and Gran Fondo Classic.

Participants must be at least 16 years old to take part in the Gran Fondo Challenge and Gran Fondo Discovery events.

7.   Support on the Road FAQs

Yes, a team of mechanics will provide mechanic services at the race venue and on the road.

Cyclists are advised to bring their bikes in good condition to Batam (and with basic spares). The mechanic services provided at the Tour de Batam are meant to be for emergencies only.

Neutral wheels:

The neutral wheels provided have Shimano 10-speed or 11-speed cassettes.

Neutral wheels rules:

Neutral wheels must be returned to the bike mechanic immediately after each stage.

(It is highly recommended that cyclists who choose to ride tubular tyres, bring a spare pair of wheels, in case there is not enough time for the glue of a new tyre to harden between stages.)

The event organiser and contractors will take good care of the wheels, but are not liable for any damage to wheels once exchanged for a neutral wheel.

Mechanic cars

Cars with mechanics will follow the cyclists on the rides. They will focus on small repairs/quick fixes to enable them to stay with the peloton and provide their services to as many cyclists as possible.

SAG wagon:  

There will be vehicles to transfer cyclists back to the start and finish area. Cyclists that cannot or do not wish to continue are advised to proceed to the nearest feed zone to be transferred back to the start and finish area.

Cyclists collected by the SAG wagon are handed over to the ‘repatriation’ vehicles whenever the SAG wagon passes a feed zone.

Note that there will be waiting time for the SAG wagon transfers.

Important – Please respect our service staff

Any form of verbal/physical abuse to our service staff will result in immediate disqualification.

While a mechanic issue may ruin your race, that’s part of cycling. With more than 1,000 cyclists on the road, although the mechanics will give you the best assistance possible, they may not be able to assist everyone.

You are advised to not fully rely on the neutral wheels and mechanics and bring spare tubes and a repair kit to fix punctures.

Feed zones consist of a bottle handout area and a recovery tent.

Team or personal support vehicles are not allowed.

Each start wave is followed by one ambulance on the route.

The ambulance follows the main group/peloton of a start wave, passing cyclists who are not able to stay with the main group / peloton.

Minor injuries are treated on the spot. Serious injuries are evacuated to the medical post at the start and finish area.

General Safety reminders:

In order for everyone to have a safe and memorable ride, we would like you to take note of the following:

•   Roads are Not Closed

The police will attempt a rolling road closure and stop traffic as the peloton of each age group category passes. However, normal road rules still apply. Riders are to keep as close as safely practical to the left hand side of the road, whether in a peloton or not.  The Police have the right to stop the race as they see fit due to any safety concerns that may arise. 

•   Point Out Hazards

The local government makes a tremendous effort to provide good road conditions for the tour. However there may still be some areas with hazards. Warn riders behind you of any immediate danger: potholes, humps, rough road, sharp corners, etc.

•   Feed Zone safety

Slow down for feed zones and allow yourself and other cyclists to collect a bottle area of the feed zones. Attacking just before, at or closely after a feed zone is not only unsportsmanlike, but also puts you and your fellow riders at risk of heat injuries.

Please be aware at feed zones that some cyclists who are dropped by their peloton will be stopping to collect their drinks. If you want to collect drinks on the move, please cycle slowly through this area exercising caution to avoid clashes with other bikes.

•   Drinking on the Move

Don’t forget to drink amidst all the excitement. Once you start to feel thirsty, the chance that you are dehydrated is high. That is likely to affect your ride and may potentially result in a heat injury.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Update prakiraan cuaca Kepri dari Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) kelas 1 Hang Nadim Batam pada Jumat 3 Mei 2024.

Cuaca di wilayah Kepulauan Riau secara umum berawan dan berpotensi hujan.

Hal tersebut dikarenakan adanya daerah konvergensi (pertemuan massa udara) dan didukung dengan labilitas lokal yang kuat di sekitar wilayah Kepulaun Riau mendukung pertumbuhan awan-awan hujan. 

“Secara umum kondisi cuaca esok hari diprakirakan berawan dan berpotensi terjadi hujan dengan intensitas ringan hingga sedang pada pagi, siang, serta dini hari yang dapat disertai dengan petir/kilat,” ujar forecaster BMKG kelas 1 Hang Nadim, Debora Truly, Jumat (3/5).

Disamping itu, BMKG mengeluarkan peringatan akan waspada hujan lebat disertai petir. 

“Waspada potensi hujan dengan intensitas sedang hingga lebat yang dapat disertai petir pada pagi dan siang hari,” katanya. 

Adapun wilayah yang berpotensi diguyur hujan lebat pada pagi dan siang hari diantaranya, di wilayah Kota Batam, Tanjung Pinang-Bintan, Kabupaten Karimun dan Kabupaten Lingga.

Ia pun menghimbau agar masyarakat mengurangi aktivitas diluar ruangan. Selain itu bagi pengendara agar menyiapkan jas hujan saat berkendara. (*)
