Total Drama World Tour is the third season of the Total Drama franchise that began with Total Drama Island and Total Drama Action . The series extension was commissioned by Teletoon from the producers, Fresh TV, Inc. In this series, fifteen returning contestants and three new contestants are taken on a trip around the world, and compete in cultural themed challenges of countries they visit. An added twist in this season is that they are required to break spontaneously into song, or else be immediately eliminated. The original cast from this and past seasons do not compete in the next season, Total Drama: Revenge of the Island , as there is a new cast. However, nine of these original contestants each have a cameo in the next season, while seven of them return to compete again in the fifth season, Total Drama All-Stars . This series is rated TV-PG-D in the United States and Australia.

Unlike the previous two seasons, there are three teams in this season: Team Victory, Team Amazon, and Team Chris is Really Really Really Really Hot. Here are the members of each team:

• Team Amazon: Cody, Courtney, Gwen, Heather, and Sierra.
• Team Chris is Really Really Really Really Hot: Alejandro, Izzy, Noah, Owen, Tyler, and (later on) Duncan.
• Team Victory: Bridgette, DJ, Ezekiel, Harold, Leshawna, and Lindsay.

Note that at the beginning of this season, Izzy was on Team Amazon and Sierra was on Team Chris but they later switched teams in the second episode so Sierra could be with Cody in the same team while Izzy could be with Owen. In the episode "Niagara Brawls", Blaineley was added to the cast of the show due to accidentally answering the last question right in the previous Aftermath episode. Her debut was in the same episode as the merge of the teams, so she never officially joined a team and was the only competitor of Total Drama World Tour not to be on an official team.

A map of all locations to be visited in Total Drama World Tour . The four locations shown on the map are Egypt, The Alps, Amazon, and Tokyo, Japan, a few of the locations before the season's merge. People who visited the page got a chance to vote on which location they thought the cast were going to first. There was also a "starting point" location shown. However. it doesn't necessarily reveal where it was. However, it appeared to be in Canada, since that is generally where two seasons of the Total Drama series takes place. To further prove this, various clips of the airport in the very first episode, including in the theme song, has been seen to have the CN Tower in the background, essentially confirming that it's located in Toronto. Each day after a new episode aired, the map was updated, as was the sidebar. The sidebar included the location visited, the challenge (or challenges), the reward (if any), the elimination, a downloadable GIF and song, and a picture from the episode at the top.

When a contestant was eliminated, they received a Drop of Shame video, which is a montage of their time on the show. Also, their character picture on the main page got an orange blind pulled down over it that partially blocks out their face, leaving only an orange overlay. Also, Heather had a winning image instead of being blinded, since she won.

• Chris and Chef's bobbleheads can be seen in the cockpit of the Total Drama Jumbo Jet throughout the season.
• The video background image for Jamaica Me Sweat is a reference to the first season .
• On the Greece's Pieces shot, the caption "Greece is the Word" is a reference to a song in the musical and movie Grease .

• The "coming soon" image for Walk Like An Egyptian - Part 2 remained on its spot on the map, even after the episode aired, when it should have changed to the episode's rollover image. Also, the rollover image was different from the "Coming soon" image.
• In the downloadable versions of the songs, there wasn't any autotune, making some of the voices sound off-key.
• The name of The Am-AH-Zon Race song, Gypsy Rap , is incorrectly titled as "Bridgette Raps" on the episode sidebar, despite Bridgette being already eliminated at that point in the competition. It was then changed to just "Rap."
• The episode sidebar for The Am-AH-Zon Race says the reward is "all the bananas you can eat"; however, this was the reward for the first part of the challenge only.
• Cody's profile picture is from the deleted scene in Broadway, Baby! , which is not shown in the Cartoon Network edit of the episode.
• Niagara Brawls didn't have a coming soon image. Instead, the episode rollover appeared.
• In the background for African Lying Safari , it says "See more from Tazania," instead of "Tanzania."
• Despite competing, Blaineley was never added to the list of contestants. She was also never "blinded," nor does she receive a "Drop of Shame" video.
• In the background for Rapa Phooey! , a rock carving of Gwen's head can be seen, even though it was never shown in the actual episode.
• In A Chinese Lesson 's download, the first part of the song is cut out.
• In Blainerific 's download, half of the song is cut out.
• In the "Best of Alejandro" video, Alejandro's name was misspelled as "Alajandro." This was later fixed.
• On the map, if one looks at the USA, they can see that the state of Florida is missing, and if one looks at Europe, the Black Sea is missing.
• In the background for Hawaiian Punch , Courtney is seen cheering for Heather. However, when Heather wins, Courtney is shown to be angry.
• Additionally, the reward for Greece's Pieces was a phone call to your loved ones and not "keep(ing) your gold medals".

Total Drama is a Canadian animated series produced by Fresh TV , the creators of 6teen , and debuted on Teletoon in Canada on July 8, 2007. On June 5, 2008, it came to Cartoon Network in the United States. The show, which ascribes to New Season, New Name , is about teenagers who sign up to star on a reality show similar to Survivor called Total Drama , where they are divided into teams that compete against each other in challenges. Whenever a team loses a challenge, they have to vote one of their members off the show. After enough contestants are eliminated, the teams merge, and the remaining contestants compete as individuals and engage in a free-for-all where it's every person for themselves. The last contestant standing wins a huge sum of cash; C$100,000 initially, then C$1,000,000 starting with the first season's special.

The first season, Total Drama Island , takes place at Camp Wawanakwa, a rundown summer campsite located on an island in an unspecified area in Muskoka, Ontario. 22 contestants are introduced in this season, as are the series' hosts, Chris McLean and Chef Hatchet.

The second season, Total Drama Action , made its world debut on January 11, 2009 in Canada on Teletoon. While the season recycles contestants from the first season, it lowers the contestant count to 15 and changes the location from Camp Wawanakwa to an abandoned film lot somewhere in Toronto. New to the series are the Aftermath episodes, which take place in a studio and feature all the non-competitors and eliminated competitors. Timeline-wise, Action takes place two days after Island .

The third season, Total Drama World Tour , has 15 of the old contestants, as well as 3 brand-new ones, traveling to different locations all around the world in the Total Drama Jumbo Jet. This season premiered on June 10, 2010, once again in Canada. The Aftermath episodes are back, now with a plotline, and a new rule requires all the contestants to sing once per episode, turning the season into a musical.

The fourth season, Total Drama: Revenge of the Island , features an all-new cast of 13 contestants and once more takes place at Camp Wawanakwa, only now it's covered in radioactive waste and infested with mutants big and small. The season premiered on January 5, 2012 on Teletoon and is the first season to consist of only 13 episodes instead of the norm of 26 that the first three seasons enjoyed.

The fifth season takes an interesting turn by being split into two wildly different mini-seasons of 13 episodes each. This confusing setup is the reason the second mini-season occasionally gets advertised as the sixth season.

Part one of the fifth season, Total Drama All-Stars , not only contains 14 of the most iconic contestants returning from the previous four seasons, but also has a Heroes vs. Villains setup. Also, like the previous season it takes place at Camp Wawanakwa, the only difference being that the island's been cleaned up since the end of Revenge of the Island and is (mostly) toxic waste free once more. Unlike the previous seasons, this one debuted in the United States on Cartoon Network first, on September 10, 2013.

Part two of the fifth season, Total Drama: Pahkitew Island , features another round of all-new contestants, introducing 14 new characters to the franchise. It takes place on a new island, Pahkitew, located somewhere in Western Canada (British Columbia). Like All-Stars , it also debuted in America first, on July 7, 2014.

A spin-off series set in the same universe called Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race , premiered on Sept 7, 2015 on Cartoon Network. The series is modelled after The Amazing Race and features a new host and new contestants competing in teams of two, although a few of the past characters also compete alongside the new cast.

Total DramaRama is a Spin-Off Babies series set in an Alternate Continuity that premiered on Sept 1, 2018 on Cartoon Network. It features fan-favorite characters from the first three seasons (as well as, surprisingly, Jude from 6teen ) as toddlers in a daycare run by Chef Hatchet.

In addition, several of the characters appeared in the Canadian version of Skatoony , replacing the characters in the UK versions of those episodes, such as Bridgette, who appears in "Quizoo", and Courtney, who appears in "Hoo Loves You Baby".

New on HBO and Max in May 2024 — all the new shows and movies to watch

A s the weather warms up, Max is gearing up for some exciting new releases to make itself known as among the best streaming services .

Zac Efron's wrestling epic, "The Iron Claw," makes itself known as a must-watch new movie despite not being a 2024 Oscars contender. The April showers might have wrought the anxiety just a bit, which is where "Turtles All The Way Down" might be able to get you out of that funk thanks to its feel-good story on friendship, love, and finding oneself in the swirl of life. 

Max will also be plenty packed with all of your favorite sports content this May, with major highlights being the NBA Playoffs and NHL's Stanley Cup Playoffs. Baseball, soccer, and cycling will also return throughout the month on Max.

'hacks' season 3 (may 2).

Laughing its way to its third season, Max's comedy gold "Hacks" returns with another hilarious outing that sees Jean Smart's Deborah Vance at the top of her game. Her standup special that debuted at the end of the last season has driven her back into stardom and she's living life quite lavishly in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, her ex-comedy writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) returns to Los Angeles in the hopes of finding a better role for her writing career. 

This season will kick off a whole year following the duo's separation. Deborah and Ava will once more cross paths, finding new ways for both to grow together all with the good-natured hysterics baked in. "Hacks" season 3 corrals a total of nine episodes, with two of them landing on premiere night.

'Turtles all the Way Down' (May 2)

Based upon John Green’s novel of the same name, “Turtles All the Way Down” follows the story of 16-year-old Aza Holmes (Isabela Merced), who struggles with anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Following a chance reconnection with her childhood crush, Aza’s life spirals into questions of love and happiness. 

With a new lease on working through her mental illnesses, Aza decides to go on a quest in search of a fugitive billionaire with the help of her friend Daisy (Cree Cicchino). It’s unclear how much of the novel will find its way into the upcoming Max teen drama, but it’s sure to be packed with surprises and more than a few twists to keep fans guessing. 

'The Iron Claw' (May 10)

The 2023 biopic out of A24 follows a family of wrestlers in the throes of a supposed curse. Named after the iconic "iron claw" move in-ring, "The Iron Claw" spans from 1979 to the 1990s as it depicts the attempted successes of Fritz Von Erich's sons. 

Zac Efron leads the charge as Kevin Von Erich, the second oldest son and often narrator of the film. His enthusiasm and discipline are palpable as he describes a deep fondness for the sport of wrestling, but winning doesn't come easy. Over the course of the film, Kevin and his brothers have consistent fights with their father. This emotional turmoil is what drives the plot as the group tries to become household names in wrestling. 

Falling into similar territory as "The Fighter" before it, "Iron Claw" is a fascinating tale of family and destiny. Although it might have been snubbed at the 2024 Oscars, it still came out on top as among the top 10 films via the National Board of Review.

'Pretty Little Liars: Summer School' (May 9)

“Pretty Little Liars” returns once more, this time taking up a completely new name following the 2022 hit “Original Sin.” This second season, aptly titled “Summer School,” will follow in the footsteps of its previous season, taking inspiration from the likes of “Midsommar” and “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” 

Millwood is once more steeped in a horrifying villain in the “Bloody Rose,” a knife-wielding, red-mask-donning killer that will “test every one of the girls,” claims showrunner Lindsay Calhoon Bring. New cast members joining the show include Antonio Cipriano as Johnny, Ava Capri as Jen, Noah Alexander Gerry as Christian, and Loretta Ables Sayre as Lola, all of whom will bring their own mysteries and plenty of lies to the table.

"Turtles All the Way Down" tackles anxiety through its 17-year-old protagonist, Aza Holmes (Isabela Merced). It’s not easy being Aza, but she’s trying... trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, and a good student, all while navigating an endless barrage of invasive, obsessive thoughts that she cannot control. May 3 - 'Stop Making Sense'

Newly restored in 4K to coincide with its 40th anniversary, the 1984 film was directed by renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme and is considered by critics as the greatest concert film of all time. Stop Making Sense stars core band members David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison along with Bernie Worrell, Alex Weir, Steve Scales, Lynn Mabry and Edna Holt. The live performance was shot over the course of three nights at Hollywood's Pantages Theater in December of 1983 and features Talking Heads' most memorable songs.

May 9 - 'Pretty Little Liars: Summer School'

Following the harrowing events of "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” our Pretty Little Liars face a fate worse than death - summer school. May 20 - 'STAX: SOULSVILLE U.S.A'

STAX: SOULSVILLE U.S.A tells the story of an underdog record label comprised of Black and white collaborators who ushered in the groundbreaking, industry-altering soul music of Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Booker T. & the M.G.’s, The Staple Singers, Sam & Dave and many others that defined a generation. Driven by instinct and defying the notion that Black artists needed to be “made marketable,” the Memphis-based label went from ultimate outsider to one of the most influential producers of Black music – finding its place inside the broader mainstream record industry. Stax became more than a record label; it transformed into a beacon of Black freedom. It is a quintessentially American story of an audacious group of individuals who dared to make their own music on their own terms creating an institution that has continued to help define our culture long after the label itself has gone.

This is the story of Stax. As raw and honest as the sounds the label laid to vinyl.

There were also two downloadable features, a Chris bobblehead, and a Chef bobblehead. However, they were replaced by other downloadables after the first episode aired. Following each episode , the downloadables got updated every time. This website, alongside the websites for the first two seasons , were removed in favor of Cartoon Network's Total Drama: Revenge of the Island website in April 2013.

A map of all locations to be visited in Total Drama World Tour . The four locations shown on the map are Egypt, The Alps, Amazon, and Tokyo, Japan, a few of the locations before the season's merge. People who visited the page got a chance to vote on which location they thought the cast were going to first. There was also a "starting point" location shown. However. it doesn't necessarily reveal where it was. However, it appeared to be in Canada, since that is generally where two seasons of the Total Drama series takes place. To further prove this, various clips of the airport in the very first episode, including in the theme song, has been seen to have the CN Tower in the background, essentially confirming that it's located in Toronto. Each day after a new episode aired, the map was updated, as was the sidebar. The sidebar included the location visited, the challenge (or challenges), the reward (if any), the elimination, a downloadable GIF and song, and a picture from the episode at the top.

All the contestants "unblinded" in the beginning of the season .

All the contestants "blinded" (excluding Heather) at the end of the season .

When a contestant was eliminated, they received a Drop of Shame video, which is a montage of their time on the show. Also, their character picture on the main page got an orange blind pulled down over it that partially blocks out their face, leaving only an orange overlay. Also, Heather had a winning image instead of being blinded, since she won.

• Chris and Chef's bobbleheads can be seen in the cockpit of the Total Drama Jumbo Jet throughout the season.
• The video background image for Jamaica Me Sweat is a reference to the first season .
• On the Greece's Pieces shot, the caption "Greece is the Word" is a reference to a song in the musical and movie Grease .
• Duncan is the only one to get blinded two times .
• Bridgette is the only contestant to say their quote tw ice .
• Courtney is the only contestant to say their quote in Super Happy Crazy Fun Time Japan .
• Alejandro is the only contestant to say their quote in Walk Like An Egyptian - Part 2 .
• Noah is the only contestant to say their quote in I See London...
• Walk Like An Egyptian - Part 1 was the episode to feature the most character quotes from the contestants' mini-profiles, as s i x of th em were said in that episode.
• Gwen and Owen's profiles were put at the top two. Coincidentally, they were the final two of Total Drama Island.
• In Ezekiel's elimination video, Duncan is still seen in the final frame as Ezekiel disappears, despite quitting the competition in the first episode .
• Lindsay can also be seen despite being eliminated the episode before DJ was.
• Also, Lindsay and Izzy are still shown in the shot, despite having already been eliminated by that point.
• The "coming soon" image for Walk Like An Egyptian - Part 2 remained on its spot on the map, even after the episode aired, when it should have changed to the episode's rollover image. Also, the rollover image was different from the "Coming soon" image.
• In the downloadable versions of the songs, there wasn't any autotune, making some of the voices sound off-key.
• The name of The Am-AH-Zon Race song, Gypsy Rap , is incorrectly titled as "Bridgette Raps" on the episode sidebar, despite Bridgette being already eliminated at that point in the competition. It was then changed to just "Rap."
• The episode sidebar for The Am-AH-Zon Race says the reward is "all the bananas you can eat"; however, this was the reward for the first part of the challenge only.
• Cody's profile picture is from the deleted scene in Broadway, Baby! , which is not shown in the Cartoon Network edit of the episode.
• Niagara Brawls didn't have a coming soon image. Instead, the episode rollover appeared.
• In the background for African Lying Safari , it says "See more from Tazania," instead of "Tanzania."
• Despite competing, Blaineley was never added to the list of contestants. She was also never "blinded," nor does she receive a "Drop of Shame" video.
• In the background for Rapa Phooey! , a rock carving of Gwen's head can be seen, even though it was never shown in the actual episode.
• In A Chinese Lesson 's download, the first part of the song is cut out.
• In Blainerific 's download, half of the song is cut out.
• In the "Best of Alejandro" video, Alejandro's name was misspelled as "Alajandro." This was later fixed.
• On the map, if one looks at the USA, they can see that the state of Florida is missing, and if one looks at Europe, the Black Sea is missing.
• In the background for Hawaiian Punch , Courtney is seen cheering for Heather. However, when Heather wins, Courtney is shown to be angry.
• Additionally, the reward for Greece's Pieces was a phone call to your loved ones and not "keep(ing) your gold medals".

After each episode airs (in the United States), the "downloadables" section on the "Map" page was updated. Before the first episode aired, the downloadables were bobbleheads of Chris and Chef . After the first episode aired, it was changed to another downloadable, and one could now download the episode's song to their computer.
