We are very lucky that so many days here in Key West look exactly like the beautiful photos and video you see on our website & other marketing materials. However, you should be aware that all of our water adventures are outdoors and influenced by Mother Nature. Many days underwater visibility is 80+ feet and teeming with sea life; others are not. Though we hope that every day is perfect, we are not in control of the wind, waves, clouds, rain or underwater sea life. If we are aware of any concerning factors regarding conditions, we will make an announcement before your trip departs. At that time, you may elect to take the tour, reschedule or receive a refund.

Climb aboard Fury’s Key West Dolphin Watch & Snorkel Tour for an aquatic journey to observe the grace & beauty of our resident Key West dolphins. Take our fast powered catamaran on an adventure into the shimmering turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Together, we’ll responsibly watch bottlenose dolphins as they swim, play, feed and do what comes naturally. Then, we’ll head to the Key West wildlife refuge where we’ll snorkel along the shallow backcountry. Fury is the only company in the Florida Keys to have the prestigious “Dolphin SMART” certification – a National program that protects and promotes the responsible observance of dolphins.

After a day on and in the water, we’ll begin our ride back to the dock. Enjoy complimentary cold beer and chilled wine on our morning and afternoon trips.

The program was put together by many conservation agencies including NOAA’s National Marine Sanctuary, National Marine Fisheries Service, as well as the Dolphin Ecology Project and the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society.

We cannot guarantee that we will see dolphins each day, but we do have a 98% success rate of seeing dolphins on our dolphin watching tours. This is because the dolphins are non-migratory. They are in Key West year-round and our captains are very familiar with where to find them. No, you will not swim with the dolphins. The dolphins that we are viewing are wild. We will watch these protected dolphins in their natural habitat. Fury is a voluntary member of Dolphin SMART, so our trip promotes responsible viewing of the dolphin in their natural habitat.

Yes, we will take you to the backcountry in the Gulf of Mexico on this trip. You will snorkel patch coral and sponge gardens with the possibility of Spotting Stingrays, Juvenile Fish, Sea Fans, Sea Rods, Sponges, and Isolated Coral Formations

You will get to dolphin watch for approximately one hour and snorkel for approximately one hour.

Our experienced and CPR certified Fury crew will give you detailed instructions as you cruise to the backcountry.  They will go over the best practices and safe snorkel procedures for your day at the reef.

We will provide you with a mask, snorkel and buoyancy compensator and fins for snorkeling. You are more than welcome to bring your own gear if you wish.

Wetsuits are available seasonally with limited sizing (cash or credit).

Yes, there is a portion of shaded seating on the boat; however, it is a very good idea to wear reef safe sunscreen and sun protective clothing.

Yes, we have a ladder to the sea, which makes it very easy for you to get on and off the catamaran. The Captain may also open a gate on the side of the catamaran for experienced guests to jump in.

Yes. We do not require you to participate in snorkeling although the ticket price is the same for everyone.

Yes. All of our vessels are equipped with a fresh water rinse for guests to use.

We do not provide food on this tour but you are more than welcome to bring food with you, just as long nothing is in a glass container and it fits in a small soft cooler. Water and soda are available before you snorkel and beer and wine are available after you finish snorkeling.

Yes. Fury will provide you with snorkel instruction and equipment, but you must know how to swim to participate in any snorkel adventure. There will not be a place for you to touch or stand, while snorkeling.  All guests will receive flotation devices for their safety. Fury crew is present to assist in an emergency, but will not be able to solely attend to one party for the duration of the trip. For those unable to swim, we suggest booking a trip aboard our Glass Bottom Boat, where you can see the reef and marine life from the comfort of the boat. Guests are also always welcome to relax and enjoy the amenities aboard our spacious catamarans, during the snorkel portion of any tour.

All participants must sign a liability waiver to participate in snorkeling and other adventures.

No, we do not offer any wifi on our vessels.

Please bring a towel & Valid Government Issued Photo ID. Gratuities are customary.

No, we do not provide parking at any of our check in locations, but you can use street parking, pay to park lots or parking garages.

Yes. It is necessary for Fury to collect your paid in full voucher and give you a boarding pass. This helps us maintain an accurate count for the Coast Guard.

Yes! To receive a military discount on any Fury trip, please book through the MWR office on Key West’s Sigsbee base by calling 305-293-4174.

Most Fury tours will require the minor guest’s  natural parent be present at check in to sign them in. Please call 888-976-0899 for specific policy details for your preferred tour.

All guests are provided with Buoyancy Compensators for snorkeling. Life jackets are onboard for everyone in case of emergency.

Yes! Fury operates 365 days a year. Be sure to check out our  Special Trips & Events  to see if we are running any special Holiday trips.

Fury Water Adventures does not operate in unsafe weather conditions, but a light rain shower is not a deterrent. The Captain will assess the weather and should the Captain determine that the conditions are unsafe to run the tour, the tour may be postponed or it will be canceled. If a trip is canceled by Fury Water Adventures for any reason, every effort will be made to reschedule the trip during your stay in Key West. If you are unable to reschedule, you will have the option of receiving a voucher for a future trip or receiving a full refund.  Every effort will be made to run tours, as advertised. Should Fury have to amend or alter your tour due to extraneous circumstances, tickets remain non-refundable on tours taken.

All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your trip’s scheduled departure time. To place a cancellation, please call 1-888-976-0899 or email [email protected] and refer to the confirmation number at the top of your confirmation document. Failure to place a cancellation at least 24 hours in advance will result in your credit card being charged the full amount of the reserved. No refunds will be issued for reservations cancelled within 24 hours of departure, unless reservation refund protection was purchased. Please note that failure to show for the reserved trip  without cancellation will result in no refund. If a trip is cancelled by Fury Water Adventures® for any reason, every effort will be made to reschedule the trip during your stay in Key West. If you are unable to reschedule, you will have the option of receiving a voucher for a future trip or receiving a refund.

Fury has a 24 hour notice cancellation policy to receive a refund. Guests can purchase Reservation Refund Protection for a 10% fee to be eligible to cancel or transfer tickets up to 1  hour prior to their scheduled departure. All you have to do is email a request to [email protected] no later than 1 hour in advance of your reservation time.

Reservation refund protection fees are 100% non-refundable in the event of any cancellation or reservation change.

Fury allows service animals only. A service animal is any dog that has been trained to perform tasks to benefit an individual.  The work performed must be directly related to the individuals disability.  According the ADA service animals for emotional support, therapy, comfort or companionship are not considered service animals.

The guest requiring the service animal must be in possession of the animal at all times. Due to the nature of Fury tours,  guest and service animal  may  be required to remain on the boat for the entirety of the tour . This is to ensure the guest’s safety as well as that of the service animal, Key West wildlife, other guests, captain and crew.

No, never! Fury WaterAdventures  proudly practices the Dolphin SMART program developed by NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries . The Dolphin SMART program promotes responsible stewardship of wild dolphins in coastal waterways, as well as educating and encouraging responsible observation of wild dolphins. 

SMART in this context means 

S – Stay back 60 yards

M – Move away cautiously if dolphins seem agitated

A – Always put your engines in neutral

R – Refrain from feeding, touching, or swimming with a wild dolphin

T – Teach others to be Dolphin SMART. 

Due to their playful nature, dolphins can often be found swimming alongside boats. Pods are attracted to the current created by our ships and enjoy interacting with it. Dolphins also enjoy using the waves created by boats to increase their swimming distance and speed. Oftentimes, a dolphin may even be spotted feeding on fish that are swept up by the waves of the boat.

When you imagine a vacation to Key West, Florida , you'll likely think of days spent on white beaches surrounded by turquoise waters and swaying palm trees. While lounging on the sand is an excellent option, there are also plenty of outdoor activities, attractions and culinary delights to keep you entertained while visiting the southernmost point in the country. U.S. News consulted both traveler reviews and expert opinion to compile this list of the best Key West tours.

Fury Water Adventures Key West – Key West Dolphin Watch and Snorkel Tour

Fury Water Adventures' three-hour tour combines two popular Florida activities. First, watch Atlantic bottlenose dolphins as they playfully swim near the catamaran. Then, snorkel in the clear, turquoise waters of Key West, keeping your eyes peeled for stingrays, tropical fish and a variety of coral. Reviews are mostly positive for the dolphin watching portion of the trip, but travelers are less impressed with the snorkeling. Some tourgoers say the reefs aren't colorful and report seeing few fish.

Departures are at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from September through March. From March through August, trips leave at 9 a.m. as well as 12:30 and 5 p.m. Tickets cost approximately $70 for participants ages 11 and older and $55 for children ages 4 to 10. Children 3 and younger can participate for free, but do need a ticket. Tickets include beverages; beer and wine will be served after snorkeling. Fury Water Adventures also operates sunset cruises and parasailing adventures, among other options.

Key West Eco Tours – Backcountry Kayak & Paddleboard Tour

Paddle through mangroves as you learn about the marine life and tropical ecosystem of the Florida Keys on this guided kayak or paddleboard tour, which begins just a short drive from downtown Key West in Geiger Key. Opportunities for wildlife viewing include turtles, dolphins, iguanas and rays, as well as birds and fish. Tourgoers remark that the experience provides a nice break from the city and offers a different perspective of Key West. They also say the guides are very knowledgeable about local marine life.

Two-hour tours operate at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. every day. Paddleboards are an option for participants ages 13 and older. Prices start at $65 for adults and $50 for children 12 and younger. Lazy Dog Adventures' guided mangrove tour begins 4 miles from downtown Key West on Stock Island. The slow-paced excursion is ideal for beginners and paddlers of all ages, and you can even bring your pup. During the two-hour tour, guides share information about the geology and animal inhabitants of the Florida Keys. Marine life sightings may include jellyfish, crabs, sea stars and tropical fish, as well as aquatic birds. Tours generally depart Thursday through Tuesday at 10 a.m., though they may be available daily, depending on the month. Tickets cost approximately $90 for adults and around $50 for kids ages 6 to 16. Children 5 and younger can ride for free.

Catamaran Echo – Adults only Champagne Celebration Sunset Cruise from Key West

Reviewers regularly call this two-hour sunset cruise relaxing and lovely. This adults-only tour includes unlimited Champagne, as well as red and white wine, beer, soft drinks, water and a cheese buffet. My family totally enjoyed our day on the All Day Water Adventure trip. It was well worth the money. The captain and crew were helpful and attentive all day. What is the weather cancellation policy? If the activity must be cancelled due to bad weather, and you cannot go on another day, you will be issued a full refund.

Where do I check-in? Detailed instructions will be included in your voucher confirmation email including check-in time, location and what to bring.

How long is each activity? Guests will enjoy 6 to 8 minutes of Parasailing, 15 to 20 minutes of Jet Skiing, 15 minute Banana Boat Ride and unlimited time on Key West’s largest ocean waterpark jumping, climbing and sliding.

Do you provide wetsuits? Wetsuits are available for a fee on board the boat.

Does each person get their own jet ski? For safety reasons we prefer to use the buddy system.

Can children ride the jet ski? Guests 21 and younger must be accompanied by adult 22 or older. Guests 18-21 years old that have passed boaters safety test may operate the Jet Ski if they have their certification and have a photo id present. You may request to take the boaters safety test through Fury Water Adventures for a nominal fee of $3.00 per test.

Do you need a driver’s license for the jet ski? We prefer that guests present their Driver’s License but we also accept other forms of photo identification that show your age.

Jet Ski Rules & Regulations

• Name on   credit card   used to pay for booking must match your   valid government-issued photo ID   and both must be presented at check-in
• All adults must present   valid government-issued photo ID   at check-in.   No photocopies will be accepted
• Minimum early check-in of 30 minutes required for all guests. Minimum 60 minutes required for in-person Boaters Safety Test.

GUESTS CANNOT PARTICIPATE IF

• Operator of Jet Ski is unable to quickly follow any spoken instructions in the English language
• Are   over 18   years old and do not have a valid government-issued photo ID with date of birth and valid credit card
• Are under the influence of drugs or alcohol   (passenger or driver)
• If you are seen with alcohol in your possession, you will be denied the right to participate
• Are pregnant or have any existing medical conditions that put them or others at risk

BOATERS SAFETY TEST

Cancellation Policy

Tours do not operate in unsafe weather conditions, but a light rain shower is not a deterrent. The Captain will assess the weather and should the Captain determine that the conditions are unsafe to run the tour, the tour may be postponed or it will be canceled. If a trip is canceled by your tour operator for any reason, every effort will be made to reschedule the trip during your stay in Key West. If you are unable to reschedule, you will have the option of receiving a voucher for a future trip or receiving a full refund. Every effort will be made to run tours, as advertised. Should Fury have to amend or alter your tour due to extraneous circumstances, tickets remain non-refundable on tours taken.

IS THERE ENOUGH TIME TO COMPLETE ALL OF THE ACTIVITIES ADVERTISED?

Yes. You will be split up into groups and each group will get the opportunity to do each of the activities.

CAN MY CHILD WHO IS UNDER 18 YEARS OLD GO ON TRIP BY THEMSELVES?

Children 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by a natural parent. Children 16-18 may go on a Fury’s Ultimate Adventure unaccompanied, if they have a valid photo ID and a natural parent present to sign their waiver or if they already have a signed, notarized waiver from their natural parent.

IS THERE WIFI ON THE BOAT?

No, we do not offer any wifi on our vessels.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED?

All necessary gear is included.

DO YOU PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO SNORKEL?

Our experienced and CPR certified Fury crew will give you detailed snorkel instructions as you sail out to the Living Coral Reef. They will go over the best practices and safe snorkel procedures.

DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM?

Yes. All guests will receive flotation devices for their safety. Fury crew is present to assist in an emergency, but will not be able to solely attend to one party for the duration of the trip. For those unable to swim, we suggest booking a trip aboard our Glass Bottom Boat, where you can see the reef and marine life from the comfort of the boat. Guests are also always welcome to relax and enjoy the amenities aboard our spacious catamarans.

All participants must sign a liability waiver to participate in activities. 

ARE THERE FRESH WATER SHOWERS TO USE?

Yes, All of our vessels are equipped with a fresh water rinse for guests to use.

CAN I GO ON THE TRIP AND CHOOSE NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES?

Yes. We do not require you to participate in any activity although the ticket price is the same for everyone.

HOW LONG IS EACH ACTIVITY?

Guests will enjoy about 6 to 8 minutes of Parasailing, 15 to 20 minutes of Jet Skiing per couple, 15 minute Banana Boat ride and free time at Key West’s largest Ocean Waterpark.

DOES THIS TRIP INCLUDE SNORKELING?

DO YOU PROVIDE PARKING?

No, we do not provide parking at any of our check in locations, but you can use street parking, pay to park lots or parking garages.

DO YOU HAVE LIFE JACKETS FOR ADULTS & CHILDREN?

Yes. All guests are provided with Buoyancy Compensators for snorkeling. Life jackets are onboard for everyone in case of emergency.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN FOOD?

Yes, you are welcome to bring food, just nothing in glass containers.

CAN I BRING MY PET ON THE TRIP WITH ME?

Fury allows service animals only. A service animal is any dog that has been trained to perform tasks to benefit an individual.  The work performed must be directly related to the individuals disability.  According the ADA service animal for emotional support, therapy, comfort or companionship are not considered service animal.

The guest requiring the service animal must be in possession of the animal at all times. ​Due to the nature of Fury tours,  guest and service animal  may  be required to remain on the boat for the entirety of the tour . This is to ensure the guest’s safety as well as that of the service animal, Key West wildlife, other guests, captain and crew.

How high and how long do you fly in the air?

You will be about 300 feet in the air for approximately 8-10 minutes from takeoff to landing. Take-off and landing are both on the boat, so you don’t even have to get wet!

Will I get wet?

Not necessarily, but you do have the option to be dipped in the water or to have a dry takeoff and landing.

You will be paired with another person who is in your group. Fury Water Adventures can fly up to three people at one time as long as the total weight does not exceed 450 lbs.

Where does the trip depart from?

The tour departs at 241 Front Street, located just behind Margaritaville Resort on the corner of Front St. and Greene St. in the Margaritaville Marina. Check-in booths are located on the pier.

What should I bring?

A valid government issued photo ID is required for all adults. You should also bring a towel and a bathing suit.

Is parking provided?

No, they do not provide parking at any of their check-in locations, but you can use street parking, pay to park lots, or parking garages.

Are animals allowed?

Fury allows service animals only. A service animal is any dog that has been trained to perform tasks to benefit an individual. The work performed must be directly related to the individual's disability. According to the ADA service animals for emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companionship are not considered service animals. The guest requiring the service animal must be in possession of the animal at all times. ​Due to the nature of Fury tours, guests and service animals may be required to remain on the boat for the entirety of the tour.

Can a child who is under 18 go by themselves?

Most Fury tours will require the minor guest’s natural parent to be present at check-in to sign them in.
