The trip was a ’10’ in every way. Your guides were the best in every way. Had a lot of attention, everyone was very helpful along the way. Your arrangements were excellent and I will do othe trips with Strabo again.
— D. Martell
Trip was a 10! I think the Sahara was the best. Loved sleeping in berber tents. The photography was gorgeous and many wonderful photo opportunities. Ron always knew where to be when for best photographs. I’ve known him since 1982 when I went to Ireland, and I always wanted to do his Morocco trip after seeing photos and notices on Facebook from him. His energy, enthusiasm and humor was contagious. I liked his photo talks every so often as he wanted us all to see different things and find our own vision. He showed us examples of his work and other photographers that influenced him. Always informative of our daily activities and culture of Morocco. I loved the variety of hotels and lodges.
— A Converse
What a wonderful Ireland trip we had. Thanks for everything you did to make it possible and so enjoyable. Given how much fun we had and how delighted we were with the trip, we have just one suggestion to add more leisure time in villages. It and all the guides were 10 out of 10. Everyone was a wonderful help. The relationships we forged, particularly with Karen & Joel was the highlight.
— C Potyen
It is tough to pick just one highlight of the tour. Each segment of the trip was fantastic. Florence – early morning photography, walking tours of the city, and the excellent food Tuscany – amazing landscapes, towns and wine tasting Venice – it exceeded everything I had heard
Ron is a 10 plus!!! Your local guide and hotels all 10’s. Loved the trip and now have some great photo memories to view and share with family. We are thinking about Scotland for next year.

“Elina was awesome! She did a great job of helping us relax and enjoy a fun walk through Amsterdam with a new friend who happened to bring a camera along to capture great moments!”
The Jordaan
“This was my third Flytographer experience, and I couldn’t be happier. The last two were on vacation in Rome and Nashville, and this one was in Los Angeles, where we live. The photographers have been top notch every time — they were fun to work with, made us all feel comfortable, and the resulting photos are phenomenal.”
Custom Route
“This was our second Flytographer shoot and this experience reaffirms why we love working with them; the process is easy, enjoyable and a brilliant way to commemorate a trip and city. I recommend them to all my friends who are traveling!”
Trocadéro & Eiffel Tower
“Flytographer was a great way to capture memories that actually include everyone! Even moms, who are so often the family documentarian. It was a wonderful experience.”
“Gabriela was wonderful. Not only was she a skilled photographer, but she was one of the highlights of our entire vacation. We felt immediately comfortable after meeting her and her pictures turned out incredibly. We have not stopped talking about our experience with her since we met. Thank you so much!”
Dubai Dessert
“Erin was incredible to work with from start to finish. She gave great direction to our not always so photogenic group and we were left with photos that I will treasure forever! We felt relaxed the entire time, going into it my dad didn't know what to expect but he even commented how much fun he had. That's coming from a guy who is typically reluctant to family photo sessions.”
Pike Place and Post Alley
“Peter was absolutely fantastic! He brought us to amazing parts of Grand Teton National Park which we otherwise would not have seen on our own. We had a lot of fun on our shoot! He is very creative and the photos are the most incredible photos we have ever had taken! Highly recommend Peter! Quality from start to finish and we received the photos super fast too!”

Women's Series: Caddo Lake and Big Cypress Bayou
The breathtaking Caddo Lake in East Texas serves as an ideal setting for the next addition to our well-received Women in Nature Photography tour series—trips open exclusively to women of all photographic skills. This trip is designed with the same attention to detail found in all other Van Os Photo Safaris but with an added element—it offers a unique opportunity to explore this extraordinary region in the company of other women photographers. Straddling the borders of Texas and Louisiana, Caddo Lake and the Big Cypress Bayou comprise an extensive 26,800-acre maze of channels, meandering bayous, sloughs, and cypress thickets. This misty primordial swampland adds a new wild and haunting dimension to “fall color” photography. Here, in the Deep South, majestic bald cypress trees reflected in tranquil dark tannin-rich waters are transformed with color in autumn, with an exuberant explosion of fiery burnt orange, red, gold and russet. Thick ghostly drapes of Spanish moss hang from every branch as fog drifts amidst gnarled and buttressed cypress trunks. Abstract shapes of cypress knees protrude above mirrored water as herons and egrets use them from which to hunt amidst the giant trees. We are out in the predawn hours making our way to locales of graphic intensity. We visit the most stunning groups of trees and cypress corridors prior to the golden hour, hoping to photograph tree reflections and ethereal mist before sunrise. Then we continue as dappled golden light filters through the canopy above. In the afternoon we return to these backwaters in our flat-bottomed jon boat, hopeful for beautiful colors of the sky and tree silhouettes at sunset. In October 1993, Caddo Lake was designated a Wetland of International Importance by the Ramsar Convention—an international treaty which seeks to conserve wetlands throughout the world. The area protects a wealth of wildlife and…

What happens if there is a delay on my flight and I arrive late?
In some destinations, like the Lofoten islands in winter, we suggest arriving at least a day earlier before the Tour starts since flights are sometimes delayed or canceled because of bad weather.
If you arrive later at the Photo workshop for any reason, we will do our best to accommodate so you can catch up with the group. However, bear in mind that if there is no option to accommodate, you will miss the Photo Tour and there will be no refund from our side.
This way, we strongly advice to prevent any possible delay communicating with us as soon as you believe that you could arrive later so we can prepare a possible solution.
Shall I arrive earlier at the Photo tour or stay longer?
You can arrive earlier or stay longer after the Tour, but the cost of this is not included in the Photo workshop.
Money and currency during the photography workshop
What is the best way to take money with me.
We always recommend having a mix of debit & credit card and cash for any Photo tour.
Before the start of the tour, please communicate to your local bank the time and destination of the tour so there is no issue once you try to pay or draw money with your card.
How much cash money do I need?
The amount of cash will depend on the destination and your personal expenses. Some places like Iceland and Lofoten widely accept payments by card whereas other remote places like Kamchatka accept only cash.
Where is the best place to exchange currency before the trip?
We always recommend to exchange currency in your local bank before the trip.
If there is no choice, a local exchange office in the destination would be the best option.
In any case, try to avoid exchanging currency in the airports since they usually charge the highest commissions.
Do I need to tip during the Photo Tour?
Tips are not included in the price of the Photo Tours and it is your personal decision to tip any of the local support partners or Photo Tour leaders.
As for restaurants, hotels and other services this also depends on the destination. In some places like Iceland tipping is not expected, and most of our other destinations don’t have a tipping social custom like in the United States.
General communication & Internet during the photo tours
Will there be internet coverage during the photo tour.
In most of the places that we visit, there will be cell phone signal and free Wifi in the accommodation.
However, there are remote locations like Kamchatka where there is no signal/internet and we can spend up to 3 days with no connection.
Am I able to use my phone overseas?
Please check with your cell phone provider before the tour the possibility of connecting overseas and if you need to pay for any extra services like roaming.
This will depend entirely on your phone, company, and destination.
What happens if there is no signal/coverage and there is an emergency?
We always carry a Garmin In reach Explorer + device in case there is an emergency or you need to communicate something important to any of your relatives during our Photo Expeditions.
This works via satellite even in the remotest locations you can imagine.
You can find all the in-depth information related to our photo tours and photography workshops in our Photo Tour terms and conditions .

The police were afraid to enter because there was a hunting club and most of the residents were armed.
The town was abandoned over 30 years ago and is slowly sinking into the salt marshes.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Cozy Up During Blink-and-You'll-Miss-It Romantic Footage from Singapore Date
Swift performed six concerts in Singapore back in March
Gotham/GC Images
Taylor Swift's YouTube compilation for her new lead single "Fortnight" highlights many moments from the singer's personal life, including an adorable kitchen kiss from boyfriend Travis Kelce .
But there's another romantic moment between them later in the video, and if you blink you might miss it.
Back in March, Swift performed six concerts in Singapore as part of her globe-spanning Eras Tour .
Kelce joined Swift for two shows at National Stadium, and was even seen dancing to her hit "Look What You Made Me Do."
Between shows, the couple took in the local attractions, including the Supertree Grove, part of the world famous Gardens by the Bay.
In the YouTube compilation, there's a fleeting shot of one of the grove's giant illuminated trees. But sharp-eyed and quick-fingered viewers who pause the video will see Swift and Kelce standing hand-in-hand at the base of the tree, bathed in its glowing green light.
Taylor Swift/ Youtube
If the Supertree Grove looks familiar, it's because it was the backdrop for the lavish wedding reception in the 2018 blockbuster Crazy Rich Asians .
Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.
The Singapore stops were the last ones before Swift took a break from touring to promote her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department , which was released Friday, April 19, at midnight.
The Eras Tour will resume in May with its European leg. Concerts are slated through the late spring/ summer in Portugal, England, Poland and Austria before returning to the United States in October.

20th annual Spring Garden and Outdoor Living Tour set for May 19
Tickets are on sale now for the Rossmoor Woman’s Club’s 20th annual Spring Garden and Outdoor Living Tour, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 19.
The fundraiser will feature six Rossmoor homes, two elementary schools, floral demonstrations, a plant sale, raffle and more.
One of the featured gardens, a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat, is inspired by the owner’s antiques collections as well as her pilgrimage to the famous Camino de Santiago in Europe. Another home employs murals, plants and statuary in homage to its owner’s late spouse and in appreciation of friends and family who have helped her through her grief.
Other gardens on the tour feature amenities such as pools, bars and barbecue areas for family-oriented entertainers, a putting green and a hot tub for retirees seeking low-maintenance. The tour this year also includes vegetable and herb gardens tended by pupils at Richard Henry Lee and Rossmoor elementary schools under the auspices of the Orange County Master Gardeners Program.
The self-guided tour includes an outdoor marketplace at Arbor Village. Tickets, which contain addresses and a map to all the homes, are $20 per person. They may be purchased in advance from any club member, from a selection of local merchants or on the club website, rossmoorwomansclub.org .

Germany’s Leader Walks a Fine Line in China
Chancellor Olaf Scholz tried to promote German business interests while delivering warnings from Europe about trade and geopolitical tensions.
By Alexandra Stevenson and Melissa Eddy
Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany tried to strike a delicate balance on a trip to China this week, promoting business ties with his country’s biggest trading partner while raising concerns over its surge of exports to Europe and its support for Russia.
Mr. Scholz met with China’s top leader, Xi Jinping, at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on Tuesday, the culmination of a three-day visit with a delegation of German officials and business leaders. He also met with Premier Li Qiang as the two countries navigate relations strained by Russia’s war in Ukraine and China’s rivalry with the United States, Germany’s most important ally.
Throughout his trip, Mr. Scholz promoted the interests of German companies that are finding it increasingly hard to compete in China. And he conveyed growing concern in the European Union that the region’s market is becoming a dumping ground for Chinese goods produced at a loss .
But Mr. Scholz chose a conciliatory tone over a combative one in his opening remarks before sitting down with Mr. Xi on Tuesday morning, in a meeting that stretched over three hours and turned into a walk and lunch.
It was the German leader’s first visit to China since his government adopted a strategy last year that defined the Asian power as a “partner, competitor and systemic rival ,” calling on Germany to reduce its dependency on Chinese goods.
Germany’s economy shrank last year, and its weaknesses have exposed a reliance on China for growth. Energy prices have risen because of the war in Ukraine, which has been facilitated by Beijing’s support for the Kremlin. German companies have pushed for more access to China and complained that they face unfair competition .
The chancellor visited German companies with extensive investments in China and met with trade representatives and officials in the sprawling industrial metropolis of Chongqing in China’s southwest and in Shanghai and Beijing.
At a talk with a group of students in Shanghai on Monday, Mr. Scholz fielded a question from a student who planned to study in Germany this year, who said he was “really worried” because the country had partially legalized cannabis. “When you study in Berlin, you can run around the whole time and never meet anyone who does that,” the chancellor assured him.
But he also used the platform to push more serious messages about trade. “Competition must be fair,” Mr. Scholz told the students. “We want a level playing field,” he said.
Mr. Scholz’s trip was an example of the difficult dance that Germany is trying to do: maintaining economic ties with China while managing U.S. pressure to align itself more closely with Washington against Beijing.
In his meetings, Mr. Scholz highlighted Germany’s commitment to doing business with China, but he also warned that Beijing had to curb the flood of Chinese goods into Europe. At the same time, he expressed reservations about the European Union’s investigations into China’s use of subsidies for green technology industries, saying that any discussion about trade must be based on fairness.
“This must be done from a position of self-confident competitiveness and not from protectionist motives,” Mr. Scholz told reporters on Monday.
China’s manufacturing push in green sectors like electric cars and solar panels has touched off trade disputes with Europe and the United States, where such industries have also received government support. But with 5,000 German companies active in the Chinese market, Germany stands to lose more than many of its European partners would if Beijing were to retaliate against the European Union.
“If the E.U. goes too hard against China, we could expect countermeasures and this would be a catastrophe for us,” said Maximilian Butek, the executive director of the German Chamber of Commerce in China.
“For us it’s extremely important that the Chinese market remains open,” he said.
In his meeting with Mr. Xi, Mr. Scholz indicated that Russia’s war on Ukraine and its arms buildup were high on his agenda. “They directly affect our core interests. Indirectly, they damage the entire international order,” he said in opening remarks at the meeting, a transcript of which was provided by Mr. Scholz’s office.
Despite pressing the issue with Mr. Xi, he did not appear to win the commitment that he had sought from the Chinese leader to take part in an international conference for Ukraine planned in June. Germany had hoped that China could use its influence over Russia to help work toward a peace agreement.
Germany would also like China stop selling goods to Russia that have potential uses on the battlefield, and Mr. Scholz told reporters that he had brought up the issue in his meeting. “The point has been made,” he said. “There can be no misunderstanding about how we see things.”
China is hoping to drive a wedge between Europe and the United States by courting leaders such as Mr. Scholz. State media reports depicted his visit as demonstrating the strength of China’s relations with Europe, playing up its economic ties with Germany.
In his opening remarks to Mr. Scholz, Mr. Xi said cooperation between China and Germany, which have the second- and third-largest economies, was beneficial to the world, a remark that could be read as directed at those who have urged Berlin to distance itself from Beijing.
“The two countries should view and develop bilateral relations from a long-term and strategic perspective and work together to inject more stability and certainty into the world,” Mr. Xi told Mr. Scholz, emphasizing the importance of seeking “common ground.”
Beijing is sure to welcome the message that German businesses are committed to China. The Asian giant is trying to court foreign investment to reinvigorate its economy, which has faltered because of a housing slowdown. Some Western businesses and investors have also been rattled by Mr. Xi’s emphasis on national security, which they regard as making it riskier to operate in the country.
From China’s perspective, Germany may be its best hope of delaying or watering down any trade restrictions from Europe, said Noah Barkin, a senior adviser in the China practice at the Rhodium Group, a research firm.
German carmakers have invested billions of dollars in China, and much of their revenue comes from there. Many worry that if the European Commission imposes higher tariffs on Chinese exports, and Beijing retaliates, German businesses will suffer most.
Chinese officials “know that German companies are heavily invested and they use that politically to influence political decision making in Berlin,” Mr. Barkin said.
Germany’s biggest companies, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz and BASF, have large operations in China and strong, effective lobbies in Berlin, Mr. Barkin added. Executives from those companies, along with several others, traveled with Mr. Scholz to China.
“The supply chain in China is stuffed with German goods,” said Joerg Wuttke, a former president of the E.U. Chamber of Commerce in China. “If China has a price war with Germany, then no one will make money anymore.”
Mr. Scholz also brought along the German ministers for agriculture, the environment and transportation, officials who experts said would be particularly interested in working with China.
“You set an agenda with these three ministers, the tonality is overall a cooperative one, these are areas that we want to work on,” said Janka Oertel, director of the Asia Program at the European Council on Foreign Relations.
Chinese officials, for their part, have brushed off the European accusations of unfair trading practices, calling them groundless and an act of “ typical protectionism .” They have hinted that they could retaliate for any actions taken by the European Union, saying that China was “strongly dissatisfied with and firmly opposes” its investigations.
In an interview with the German newspaper Handelsblatt, Wu Ken, China’s ambassador to Germany, said the competitive edge of Chinese electric vehicles “relies on innovation, not subsidies.”
“The challenge faced by developed countries lies more in the fact that Chinese companies are more efficient,” the ambassador said.
