We were at the show in the Glasgow hydro we had a great night and Donny was amazing can't wait until he cones back to Scotland again the songs he sang bringing back lots of memories

The Osmonds are one of those universally recognisable family names like the Osbournes or the Kardashians. However the musical ensemble were never known for their controversy but more so their good vibes, great music and highly recommended live show.

Donny has always been the stand out of sorts, a pin up in his youth as the token 'pretty boy' saw him win a global female following who simply screamed throughout the shows. Years later and some of them seem to be in attendance tonight as Donny is greeted with similar screams as he steps out preceded by a vast live band. Fast approaching 60 years old, the musician attains a smooth demeanour onstage as he runs through a setlist comprising of pop, swing and soul which keeps the crowd cheering along. He has great abilities when it comes to interaction thanks to his long career across multiple art disciplines and by the finale the whole audience is totally on side to bellow out 'May Tomorrow Be a Perfect Day'.

I suppose it’s almost poetic. A man with the most clean cut image since Superman, a man whose agent suggested spreading rumours of a drug addiction to toughen him up, a man who Michael Jackson told to change his name to boost his image… and he ends up in Las Vegas, Nevada. The gambling capital of the world and all around wretched hive of scum and villainy dressed up in glitz, glamour and rhinestone. Wow. It’s just as well that the shows that Donny Osmond is currently performing there with his sister Marie are among the high points of their entire career or the sweet irony would be far too much for anyone to take. Taking the audience on a trip through both of their greatest hits, Donny and Marie from their time in The Osmond’s to their seventies solo successes all the way up to their recent albums from the 2000’s. However this is a variety show through and through, so we get experiments with cover songs from every genre from opera to musical theatre, and as much crowd interaction as we could possibly want. The honesty is what sets this segment apart from other variety/revue shows playing just a couple of blocks down from them, both siblings tackle the numerous personal struggles they’ve had candidly, putting a highly respectable amount of trust in the audience and giving the show a highly personal feel night after night. It’s incredibly easy to be cynical about stuff like this, but this is one show that hits every mark it sets out to hit, and is an entertaining, moving and all around excellent show in its own right. Highly recommended.

Merrill, Alan, Jay, Wayne and Donny Osmond are cast in The Osmonds: A New Musical.

The main casting has been announced for the upcoming world premiere of The Osmonds: A New Musical .

Confirmed for the upcoming UK and Ireland tour of the production are Ryan Anderson as Merrill Osmond , Jamie Chatterton as Alan Osmond, Alex Lodge as Jay Osmond, Danny Nattrass as Wayne Osmond and Joseph Peacock as Donny Osmond.

The tour begins at Leicester’s Curve on 3 February, 3 2022 and is booked to run until December 3, 2022 at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Wales.

Jay Osmond, who wrote the story on which the musical is based, said: "I am thrilled that we have found such dynamic and talented performers to play my brothers and me.

"We saw some brilliant actors in the auditions and I was so impressed at the work people put in throughout the process.

"When these five guys walked in, they lit up the room with their smiles and raised the roof with their voices; I knew we'd found our boy band."

He continued: "It is an honour to welcome Ryan Anderson, Jamie Chatterton, Alex Lodge, Jamie Nattrass and Joseph Peacock to the family and I can't wait for audiences to see what they can do.

"Their style, charm and talent will bring our music and story to a whole new generation and you will 'love them (for a reason)' as much as we do."

The production will include a number of the band's biggest hits, including ' One Bad Apple', 'Down by the Lazy River', 'Crazy Horses', 'Let Me In', 'Love Me for a Reason', '(We're) Having a Party', 'Puppy Love', 'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' and Paper Roses'.

The production has a book by Julian Bigg and Shaun Kerrison, and will be directed by Shaun Kerrison.

Choreography and musical staging is by Bill Deamer, with set and costume design by Lucy Osborne, lighting design by Ben Cracknell and sound design by Dan Samson.

THE OSMONDS: A New Musical with story by Jay Osmond tells the true story of the five brothers from Utah who were pushed into the spotlight as children and went on to create smash hits, decade after decade. From their star residency on The Andy Williams Show from 1962 to 1969, to pop stars and 'Osmondmania' from 1971 to 1975, to the arrival of The Donny & Marie Show, a popular variety TV show, from 1976 to 1979, The Osmonds lived a remarkable life recording chart-topping albums, selling out vast arena concerts and making record-breaking TV shows - until one bad decision cost them everything.

THE OSMONDS: A New Musical stars Ryan Anderson as Merrill Osmond, Jamie Chatterton as Alan Osmond, Alex Lodge as Jay Osmond, Danny Nattrass as Wayne Osmond, and Joseph Peacock as Donny Osmond, with Georgia Lennon as Marie Osmond.

Donny Osmond brings his Direct from Vegas Tour to DeVos Performance Hall on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 8:00PM.

Donny Osmond has become a worldwide music legend. He has sold over 100 million records, received 33 gold records and has performed to millions of fans around the globe during his illustrious six-decade long music career and shows no signs of stopping.

December of 2024 will mark the return to the stage for Donny at the famed Edinburgh Playhouse in Scotland as he, once again, headlines in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". During his six-year run from 1992 - 1997 with this award winning musical, he broke records with more than 2,000 performances in the US and Canada. But this time, Donny will be playing the Elvis inspired role of “Pharoah”.

In December of 2021, Donny returned to live theatre in the iconic "Pantoland" at the Palladium in London, receiving accolades and stellar reviews and awards for his turn as "The Wizard of Pantomime".

His latest album “Start Again” which debuted in the fall of 2021, marks a milestone 65th album for the performer. The 12 track Pop/R&B Start Again is Donny’s first full-length solo album in 7 years and was entirely co-written and produced by Donny. It features collaborations with such notable performers as Charlie Wilson and Pierre Bensusan and songwriters 9am, Ant Clemons, Dalton Diehl, Jason Mater, Jonas Myrin, Larrance Dopson, Ne-Yo, Seth Reger, Space Primates and Amy Wadge.

Other stops include cities such as New York, Chicago, Nashville, Boston and Atlanta.   Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8 at CapitolTheatreWheeling.com . Osmond has partnered with City of Hope so that $1 from each ticket sale will go directly to City of Hope to support their fight against cancer, diabetes, and other serious illnesses.

He has made history by celebrating 6 decades in show business with the release of his latest album “Start Again” a milestone 65th album for the performer. ‘Mr. Entertainment,’ Donny Osmond, brings Vegas show to Denver

D ENVER ( KDVR ) — Donny Osmond has been in show business for more than 50 years. But Channel 2’s Chris Parente may have thrown the seasoned pro for a loop. 

Osmond joined Daybreak to discuss his Vegas show, his life in the spotlight and his upcoming Denver concert.

“I actually own a Donny Osmond beach towel. What’s the weirdest piece of fan merchandise you’ve seen?” asked Parente. 

“The Donny Osmond towel? That’s pushing the envelope,” Osmond quipped. “I hope it dries ya off. Whatever turns you on, go for it.” 

The rest is comedy gold as Osmond charms his way to Denver this summer.

He’ll be performing at the Denver Paramount Theater on Monday, Aug. 5.
