Did this mountain trail hike with my three teenagers and my husband. Even though it says “Little hike” it was a challenging 2 1/2 mile trail though beautiful Hawaiian flora. Our guide Ryan was perfect. He made the hike fun and I felt very at ease with him leading the group. It was an awesome experience of nature run by a business whose whole point is to preserve and protect the integrity of the area. Would recommend for families with older children who are looking to connect with the natural beauty of Hawaii!

Great Hike for beginners. Ryan was our guide and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Plan on coming back for a more advance hike.

This was an awesome excursion for our family! We did the Wild Boar Tour which included rides through the forest and off-roading. Ryan was very informative, engaging, and made the trip super fun. Highly recommend for teens and young adults. One suggestion - don't wear good clothes. We had two shirts ruined from the dirt that stained. Otherwise, highly recommend!

Great hike through an area not open to the public. The mountains above Haleiwa were so beautiful and natural. Ryan , our guide, was great : very knowledgeable and engaging with all five of us. I think this hike would be very challenging for someone that isn't physically active and also for people that aren't confident with their ability to climb and hold onto ropes and tree limbs. But it was Fantastic

What an awesome experience we had four wheeling in the mountains around the North Shore. Our guide Keoki was exceptional, shared lots of information about the history and culture of the islands and ensured we had a safe experience. The scenery was spectacular and the mud and rain added a sense of adventure to our tour. Totally recommend!

Explore a beach

Oahu is the perfect beach destination. Here you will find all sorts of beaches that are perfect for a variety of activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and kite surfing. One of the most popular and visited beaches on the island is Hanauma Bay, which sees an average of 3,000 visitors daily. The bay has crystal clear waters where you can snorkel and find yourself surrounded by unique tropical fish you will see nowhere else in the world! Other popular beaches are Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay, both located on Oahu’s North Shore. Most of the Oahu eco tour companies visit these North Shore beaches and spend around 10 minutes at each. The Oahu eco tour offered by Hawaii Turtle Tours is different that most other Oahu eco tours. We take you to Turtle Beach where we spend around 60 minutes of exploring, swimming and snorkeling with Hawaiian sea turtles. So not only will you get to see this beautiful beach, but experience it.

Stop at a scenic lookout

You will discover the beauty of Oahu not just on beaches, but at many other spots, including on the road where you can stop and visit numerous scenic lookout points. Our Oahu eco tour takes you to the south shore of the island where you will visit a lookout point located at the foothills of Diamond Head. It overlooks Diamond Head Beach Park, and on a clear day, you can see all the way to the neighbor island of Molokai. In the winter months, it’s a great spot for whale watching.

Visit a waterfall

Two of the most popular waterfalls on Oahu are Manoa Falls and Waimea Falls. Manoa Falls, located in Honolulu, is easily accessible from Waikiki with a bus or a car, which makes it a popular Oahu eco tour. It is a 0.8 mile trail that takes you through a lush rainforest offering numerous photo opportunities along the way. The trail takes around 45 minutes one way and ends at the base of the falls. Waimea Falls is located in Waimea Valley on the North Shore of the island. The falls is located within a botanical garden, and it takes about 30 to 45 minutes to get to it. Waimea Falls cascades into a pool, which is frequently open for swimming. Along the way you will enjoy unique Hawaiian flora and fauna, and you can see numerous archaeological and cultural sites.

My family and I did the road to Hana full tour with Roger as our tour guide. We LOVED the tour and were beyond impressed with Roger’s knowledge, humor, and overall thoughtfulness. He truly cares about the island and shares the beauty of it with the tour guests.

Had a lovely day on the road to Hana with mine host Scottie Joe. He was great fun and you can tell he really enjoys his work. Explained the whole concept of Aloha and island culture for us visitors. Brekky and lunch included. Perfect scenery and multiple stops. Recommend for a good day out.

My boyfriend and I did the road to Hana tour and it was excellent. We really enjoyed the knowledgeable driver, Scotty Joe. He let us stop at the beach in Hana and it was the perfect place for lunch. We stopped at a lot of great places along the way. My only recommendation for improvement for this tour is make the breakfast a little more ample. But the breakfast spot was great.

My husband and I got married in Hawaii, we took this tour, we loved, it was amazing. Scottie Joe the tour guide was entertaining and very nice, we had a good time. Highly recommend this tour company, they picked us up in the hotel, took us for breakfast and they brought lunch and snacks for us.

But the people of Kohala spirited the newborn away and hid him at ʻĀwini, in the heart of the mighty canyons of Kohala. Safely hidden away in ʻĀwini, Paiʻea would survive to fulfill the prophecies and become the warrior king,  Kamehameha the Great .

Inspired by this tale of escape,  Kauholo  — composed and performed by Kohala’s Grammy Award Winning artist John Keawe — celebrates the ingenuity and perseverance of the future king’s rescuers as they raced across Kohala, at times just steps away from their pursuers. What’s your cancellation policy.

Our Hassle-Free Cancellation Policy guarantees that you receive a 100% refund for any tour canceled at least 24 hours in advance of your tour time. For cancellations made within 24 hours of your tour, we can only provide a refund if we are able to rebook the spots on your tour.

What happens if it rains?

Tours operate rain or shine. If we do cancel, we’ll make every effort to contact you in advance to reschedule or refund the tour.

Is ziplining safe?

At Skyline? Absolutely. We’ve overseen over 3 million crossings—more than any other zipline company in the U.S. All our equipment is tested regularly, and our guides receive twice the amount of training required by the industry.

Are your ziplines family-friendly?

Both of our zipline tours are high-flying adventures that kids and the kid-at-heart will love. For safety reasons we do have age and weight requirements. Our Haleakala Zipline Tour gets rave reviews from parents since it is one of the only family-friendly zipline courses on the island that accommodates smaller children. Haleakala Tours are safe for kids ages 8 and up who weigh at least 60 lbs. Ka‘anapali Tours are perfect for kids 10 and over who weigh at least 80 lbs.
