Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno's marriage has ended, and according to the 90 Day Fiancé star, it came with some big lessons. 

"I've learned that I have to put myself first and I've learned to be by myself, and I've learned to be strong," Chantel told ET's Melicia Johnson on Tuesday at the 10-year anniversary ceremony for the franchise in NYC. "And I'm so grateful that I had my family to lean on. I already knew they were important, but during the time that I'm really really down, I realized how important they actually were because they were there for me."

Pedro  filed for divorce from Chantel  on May 27, 2022. Court records obtained by ET show that on the same day, a mutual restraining order was filed. In her own filing later obtained by ET, Chantel  cited the reason for the divorce as adultery  on Pedro's behalf. She also accused him of "cruel treatment" by including "physical domestic violence, as well as mental pain." She said "the marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation."

The final days of Chantel and Pedro's marriage will play out for fans during one last season of The Family Chantel . 

"I'm getting a divorce and my marriage is ending," Chantel said about ending the series with this upcoming season. "I think that now it's time to end the show because the whole show was centered around my family and Pedro's family quarreling. I think that it's time, since the divorce and everything."

ET had the exclusive first look of the upcoming season , and it's nothing short of explosive. Chantel agrees.

"This is going to be the most dramatic season ever," she teased. "I mean, I guess it makes sense because it's sort of the finale of the whole series. Listen, I feel like The Family Chantel has been following the decline of my marriage. So this is the end of it. So naturally, it will be explosive."

Despite the cameras rolling from the very start, and the very end, of her and Pedro's marriage, Chantel does not place blame on what some would call the "reality TV curse," for the end of her love story.

"The only thing that it really did was put a magnifying glass and make it more public," she said of the franchise. "You know, we're under a microscope, but at the end of the day, we're human, and we're still going through the same experiences as everyone else, except everybody can see it. Just like other people go through divorce, I'm going through a divorce. The only difference is that it is public. I don't feel like having the cameras and letting the public into my life has caused my divorce in any way."

Chantel is certain that she isn't giving up on love. But she isn't sure that viewers will have the chance to see her romance play out onscreen again.

"I do believe in love," she told ET. "I feel like love is the most powerful emotion, the most powerful energy. I'm not sure," she added about having another series chronicle her love. "If I find love and the opportunity presents, maybe I will."

One thing Chantel isn't dishing about is the rumors that she has connected with Drake. In order for fans to see how that turns out, she encourages them to wait and see.

"Listen, I can tell you absolutely nothing about my love life," she said. "You guys are just gonna have to watch the show. And stay tuned to find out."

Season 10 of  90 Day Fiancé premieres Oct. 8. on TLC.

Which Seasons of ‘90 Day Fiance’ Was Chantel On?

Chantel was introduced to viewers on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé in 2016. The former couple was set up by a friend as Chantel was looking for a Spanish tutor, and Pedro was looking for someone to help him with his English. 

After getting engaged and filing for their K-1 visa, Pedro moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to be with Chantel. However, instead of telling Chantel’s parents the truth about their engagement, they lied and said that Pedro was in the country on a student visa. 

After finding out the truth, they were not pleased and regularly alluded that Pedro was using her for a green card. While Chantel struggled with her family’s support, the nurse also didn’t get along with Pedro’s mom, Lidia Morel , and sister, Nicole Jimeno . 

The couple went on to showcase their family drama on seasons 2, 3, and 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? .

Why Did ‘90 Day Fiance’ Stars Pedro and Chantel Divorce?

After their time on the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, Chantel and Pedro continued to document their relationship on their spinoff, The Family Chantel . 

While seasons 1 through 3 were largely based around their family drama, the cracks in their relationship started to show during season 4, which debuted in June 2022. 

Through the spinoff, it was revealed that Chantel felt Pedro was getting too close to some of his coworkers after forging a new career path. Meanwhile, Pedro complained that Chantel didn’t want him to progress in his new life as a real estate agent and felt she wasn’t supportive of his goals. 

After six years of marriage , Pedro filed for divorce from Chantel in May 2022. The Dominican Republic native claimed that their marriage was “irretrievably broken,” according to court documents obtained by In Touch .

The former couple officially separated on April 27, 2022. The split seemingly got messy as mutual restraining orders were also issued at the time. Pedro and Chantel were “restrained from doing or attempting to do, or threatening to do, any act that injures, maltreats, vilifies, intimidates, molests or harasses the adverse party.”

Six weeks later, Chantel filed her own counterclaims where she accused Pedro of “adultery” and “cruel treatment. The health professional claimed that their “marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” According to paperwork exclusively obtained by In Touch , the restraining orders went into effect on July 22, 2022.

Where Is Chantel Everett From ‘90 Day Fiance’ Now?

Following season 4 of the spinoff, Chantel revealed she made a career change in November 2022. While the TLC star was already a health professional, she revealed a new title as a travel nurse.

“I absolutely love it,” the TLC alum shared via her Instagram Stories. “I will never go back to regular bedside nursing.” According to Indeed, a travel nurse can make an average of $121,665 per year.

Chantel recently reunited with Obed Corporan , a mutual friend she shared with her ex-husband, in April 2023.

“Thanks for having us,” Chantel wrote alongside a photo of the pair smiling via Instagram , adding the hashtags, “90 Day Fiance” and “The Family Chantel.”

" In the photo, Jamal and Chantel pose for the camera, grinning ear to ear . Chantel is holding a tiny dog and wearing lounge pants and a tank top. Jamal is wearing a polo shirt and has his arm around Chantel. The photo appears to have been taken at a restaurant or similar public place.

" I can see them together . They will make cute kids ."

90 Day Fiancé fans took to the post's comment section to debate the matter. " I can see them together ," wrote one Instagram user. " They will make cute kids ." While another user didn't see it, writing, " Their body language is NOT showing a couple ." Several people commented about noticing chemistry between the two during the Tell All. Chantel and Jamal hanging out together is odd since it was Chantel who, during the 90 Day: The Single Life season 4 Tell-All , revealed she saw Jamal hanging out with Luisa Beltran, Tim Malcom's ex.

They went on to film the unscripted spin-off series The Family Chantel, which aired for five seasons but announced their separation in 2022.

Despite the devastating divorce, Chantel never stopped believing in love.

She joined the cast of 90 Day: The Single Life season 4 to continue her search for Mr. Right. During the season, Chantel embarked on a European vacation, where she met a Greek soccer player named Gianni . Chantel rediscovered the excitement of falling for a man, but ultimately, the relationship fizzled when it became clear that Chantel hadn't completely moved on from the pain of her divorce.

Who Is Jamal?

Jamal has never had his own 90 Day Fiancé storyline. He appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 5 as a supporting cast member for his mother, Kimberly Menzies. Kimberly had fallen for Usman , who had appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 4, and Jamal disapproved of the relationship. His mother didn't take her protective son's advice, but he turned out to be right, and the relationship ended after the couple's appearance on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7.

Jamal then appeared on Pillow Talk with Kimberly and became a fan favorite. Still, fans were surprised when Jamal started dating Veronica Rodriguez during 90 Day: The Single Life seasons 3 and 4. Jamal ended his relationship with Veronica via text message, which included a peace sign emoji.

Chantel Everett has altered her looks so drastically that 90 Day Fiance viewers find her unrecognizable.

Chantel was introduced to 90 Day Fiance fans during Season 4 of the flagship series and has appeared in several spinoffs since then.

Chantel joined the Season 4 cast of 90 Day: The Single Life and developed some intense chemistry with a Greek man named Giannis Varouxakis.

But it wasn’t only Chantel and Giannis’ love story that caught 90 Day: The Single Life viewers’ attention — they’ve also noticed that Chantel’s face looks much different compared to her early days in the franchise.

Some of Chantel’s recent selfies were captured by the 90 Day Fiance fan account @90dayfianceupdate on Instagram and shared in a post, “Chantel showing off her smile.”

Chantel recorded herself from her car, and in the still shots, 90 Day Fiance viewers got an up-close look at her face.

In the comments section of the upload, most 90 Day: The Single Life fans expressed how shocked they were to see how much Chantel has changed her appearance since she debuted her storyline in 2019, deeming her “unrecognizable.”

One Instagram user questioned why Chantel’s looks have changed and asked, “What happened to her?”

“She’s caught the Stacy and Darcy disease!!! GO GET THERAPY!!!!” proclaimed another.

One of Chantel’s critics called the TLC star “so sad” and said that the 33-year-old RN “did not need that botox or filler.”

“She was so pretty, before all the face changing she is doing to herself,” wrote @mememac5268.

Others chimed in, claiming that Chantel is looking “less and less like the old” version of herself, that she looks like “3 different people” in the latest pics, that she was “so pretty before all of the surgery,” and that she doesn’t look like herself.

“I didn’t recognize her at all,” added @laurieg_6.

Has Chantel had plastic surgery?

Chantel works as a registered nurse in aesthetics, so she’s no stranger to cosmetic enhancements.

The Atlanta native has admitted to getting Botox injections, but she’s denied having a nose job or breast augmentation.

When Chantel made her franchise debut five years ago, she sported a more natural look during confessionals, wearing less makeup, donning thinner brows, and forgoing last extensions.

Judging by Chantel’s before-and-after photos seen above, it’s easy to see why 90 Day Fiance viewers are convinced that she’s gone under the knife to achieve her new look, but she’s sticking by her claims that she’s only tweaked her appearance with some neuromodulator injections.

Part 4 of the 90 Day: The Single Life Season 4 Tell All airs on Monday, April 8, at 8/7c on TLC.

She was so much prettier before. I hope she stops altering her appearance, enough is enough!

There are so many young and even older celebrity women having their faces distorted, and bodies too, it’s an epidemic. I wonder though, how does this work age? Will it stay “firm” for the next 40 years or will it pose a huge issue for them later. It seems they all want to look the same, and they certainly are putting the “plastic” into plastic surgery. It cannot be healthy, physically or mentally.
