Yes, you can use My Holiday on all ships. Its features vary according to the ship you’re sailing on.

No. My Holiday is your personal on-board planner. It’s a handy way to help you tailor your experiences and manage all your bookings in one place. Using My Holiday is entirely your choice and there are alternative options available if you prefer not to use it. For example, you can the booking line to reserve a table, or you can visit one of our My Holiday experience desks.

The benefit of using My Holiday is that you can book the dates and times that suit you best. With so much on offer you can sit back and relax, knowing everything is taken care of.

If you find yourself without your smartphone or tablet at any time, you can make reservations by visiting our My Holiday experience desks on board or by calling the booking line number listed in Horizon.

Important note about The Reef and Scene children’s clubs:

If you’re travelling with children and they want to use The Reef or Scene~, we strongly advise booking sessions via My Holiday. Without a booking, we won't be able to guarantee your child a place. Currently you can make bookings via My Holiday on board Arvia and Britannia, with Iona to follow on 28 January. And from March, you'll be able to do the same on Azura and Ventura.

~Available only to guests who have pre-registered their children with The Reef.

The features of My Holiday vary by ship. Here's a breakdown of what it can offer:

• View your on-board account to keep track of your holiday spending

• Browse and book shore experiences

• View menus for on-board bars and room service, as well as sample menus for restaurants and salon and spa treatment lists

• Access My Diary and My Bookings to see an up-to-date summary of all the experiences you’ve planned for your holiday, listed in a handy day-by-day view

• Book tables at speciality restaurants

• Join virtual queues for speciality dining venues so you can relax in your cabin or at the bar while you wait and arrive when your table is ready.

Arvia, Britannia, and Iona – additional My Holiday services:

• Book sessions in The Reef children’s club (bookings on board Iona will be available from 28 January)

• Book entertainment including theatre shows plus The Limelight Club and The 710 Club on Arvia and Iona.

• Book tables in advance for speciality restaurants. For Arvia only this includes Freedom Dining restaurants

• Join virtual queues for Freedom Dining venues and speciality restaurants so you can relax in your cabin or at the bar and arrive when your table is ready.

Azura and Ventura – additional My Holiday services:

• Book sessions in The Reef children’s club (bookings on board Azura and Ventura will be available from March).

However you make your dining reservations, you can still choose to share a table in our Freedom Dining restaurants on Arvia, and in our Freedom and Club Dining restaurants on our other ships. This gives you the chance to socialise with other guests and may give you more options for table availability.

If you prefer to be spontaneous and dine when the mood takes you, that’s no problem. Selected venues give you the option to join a virtual queue, so you can enjoy an aperitif at one of the ship’s bars and we’ll let you know when your table is ready. Or you can simply head to a restaurant to find out if there’s availability.

If you’re sailing on Arvia, you can also pre-book Freedom Dining venues ahead of your holiday via My P&O Cruises.

We do not offer shared tables for our speciality dining restaurants.

Largely, no. As the use of My Holiday is optional, once on board everyone has the same opportunity to book the experiences they’re most looking forward to. Not all capacity for dining and entertainment is released for pre-booking, so be sure to check availability with the venue on the day or, for dining, head to the restaurant or join a virtual queue if you don’t have a booking.

For The Reef or Scene children’s clubs, priority will be given to those who’ve booked places via My Holiday. Any remaining capacity will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for guests who visit The Reef or Scene.

Using My Holiday guarantees your reservations for the dates and times that suit you and gives you peace of mind. As many of our experiences are available to book before your holiday via My P&O Cruises, we encourage you to book as much as possible in advance, so you’ll know everything is taken care of.

My Holiday will be available from the moment you step on board. There’s a handy guide in your cabin that explains how to connect. Before your holiday starts you can use My P&O Cruises to make some advance bookings. Don’t forget to bring your smartphone or tablet with you to use My Holiday on board. You won’t need to download an app, connect to the internet, or use mobile data.

No. My Holiday is a web page that’s free and convenient to use. No internet access, mobile data or downloads are needed. It works by using the ship’s network when on board.

In the lead up to your cruise, you can start to customise your holiday using My P&O Cruises. You’ll be able to make dining reservations, book entertainment and shore experiences. Once on board, however, My Holiday enables you to personalise your holiday in real-time. You’ll see all the bookings you made via My P&O Cruises, and you can manage selected bookings, make new bookings, join virtual queues for selected restaurants, view your on-board account summary and more.

No. We’ve listened to feedback from our guests and understand that a holiday can be a chance to take a break from phones and tablets, so you might prefer not to use one during your time away.

If you prefer to keep things tech-free, you can simply head to your chosen venue to find out if there's availability. At peak times we may need to give you a pager, so you can sit back and relax at the bar, and we’ll let you know when a table is ready.

While it’s not essential, we recommend that you pre-book some venues before and during your holiday to avoid disappointment. Once on board, you can choose to join a virtual queue for selected restaurants using My Holiday if you prefer.

All our ships offer bookings and virtual queues for speciality restaurants. Arvia is currently the only ship that offers pre-holiday bookings via My P&O Cruises for Freedom Dining venues.

Yes. Once on board, the same venues will be available to pre-book via My Holiday. All bookings made before your holiday via My P&O Cruises will show under My Bookings*. Some venues are non-bookable and offer virtual queues or walk-ins only.

*Spa and internet packages purchased pre-cruise will not show in My Bookings.

Once on board, Freedom and/or Club Dining reservations can be cancelled via My Holiday, under My Bookings. Speciality restaurant bookings and shore experiences, however, must be cancelled by visiting the venue or team on board.

You can book the maximum table size available for your preferred date and time, however this will vary by venue. If a larger table is required than is showing as available, please speak to the restaurant manager.

When making your reservations at Freedom or Club Dining venues, you can also choose to share a table. This gives you the chance to socialise with other guests and may offer you more options for table availability.

Coming soon to Arvia is an option to link with other guests so you can book tables together. This is ideal if you’re travelling with family and friends, or if you’ve made new friends while on board.

There’s so much mouth-watering choice on Arvia (more than 30 restaurants and bars) and we understand it can be tough to decide where to dine. Pre-booking is not essential;

however, we offer guests on Arvia an option to book all their dining experiences, including Freedom Dining restaurants, ahead of their holiday. This gives our guests the best chance of dining in the restaurants that really whet their appetite.

As well as dining, you’ll be able to pre-book entertainment on offer in the Headliners Theatre so you can plan all your evening meal times around the shows you really want to see.

The P&O Cruise Personaliser: Your P&O Cruises My Holiday App

p o cruises personalise

The P&O cruise personaliser, or My Holiday app, debuted in summer 2021 -- created during the pandemic to allow making onboard reservations that little bit easier. The line's digital planner works in a similar way to other cruise line apps in that passengers are required to log in to gain access to their onboard account.

Here, we break down how the onboard P&O cruise personaliser works and who can use it. If you're planning or have already booked a P&O Cruises' getaway, read on to discover how to maximise your time at sea with the My Holiday app.

P&O Cruise Personaliser, the My Holiday App Is Available Fleetwide

p o cruises personalise

P&O Cruises ' nifty digital onboard planner, the My Holiday app, is available to all passengers free of charge once connected to the ship's (also free) WiFi. Passengers aren't required to download an app, either, as the My Holiday 'app' is accessed via a webpage or by scanning a QR code.

The P&O Cruises' login for the My Holiday app is available once onboard, not before travelling. Ahead of travel, My Cruise is the P&O Cruises personaliser tool for pre-holiday planning.

The My Holiday App Makes Booking Onboard Restaurants & Entertainment a Breeze

p o cruises personalise

The My Holiday app is a useful tool for passengers to book restaurant reservations, browse and book shore excursions and other onboard activities and entertainment from anywhere on the ship, at any time.

If a preferred dining reservation slot isn't available or a passenger hasn't made a booking, the My Holiday app also allows passengers to queue virtually for a table. The My Holiday app then alerts passengers when the table is ready.

Theatre and movie showings can be pre-booked and parents and carers can book children into P&O Cruises' Reef kids' clubs (Splasher, Surfers and Scubas), providing passengers have pre-registered their children with The Reef. Pre-registration can be done 14 days before departure or once onboard.

My Holiday App Allows Passengers to View Their Onboard Account, Menus and Other Vital Information

p o cruises personalise

One of the great things about the My Holiday App is it forms a digital planner for those passengers who opt to use it. The app contains restaurant and bar menus, allows passengers to keep track of their onboard accounts and view their personalised programme via My Diary and my Bookings.

Essential Tips for a Smooth P&O Cruises Login to My Holiday

p o cruises personalise

To access the My Holiday app, switch your mobile phone to airplane mode in Settings once onboard to ensure you don't accumulate unwanted roaming charges. Passengers then need to connect to the ship's WiFi (P&OCruises_Guest_WIFI) and visit myholiday.pocruises.com or scan the QR provided online.

I Don't Want to Use an App. Can I Make Reservations in the Traditional Way?

p o cruises personalise

Yes. Passengers can visit speciality restaurants desk onboard for assistance with bookings or to receive guidance on how to access and use the app.

The replacement of cruise personaliser

Had anyone else received this email from P&O ?

I am glad I chose to print our tickets and luggage labels last week for our November cruise.

We have 4 more cruises booked, I know that I am being pessimistic but I really hope this new system works properly before I need to do anything for our February cruise.

We haven't received this email and have a few cruises booked?

The pessimist in me is dreading this change, P&O haven't exactly covered themselves in glory in the IT department recently.

Yes I've had it too!  My first thought was that I hope it's going to be more successful than the introduction of the new website.  We too have a cruise booked in February so hopefully it will be done and dusted long before then - hopefully!

We have not received this email either. I am just wondering if this has only been sent to those who have chosen to go "go green"?

Great Review

P&O SUE

Ooh I was only looking at my Personaliser yesterday! I have 2 cruises booked for next year and haven’t had that email yet.

jaydee6969

Not received that email yet and have a mini cruise booked for November, and as a F&F member I can only download and print out luggage labels etc as nothing is sent by post.  CP is still working for me as it was, so I will check every day in the hope that I can download before the switch.  Next cruises after that are in April 2020, so time to iron out the bugs.

I looked last night after reading this and my labels and tickets were there, very early, so I printed the, off there and then. I also took a copy of all our restaurant bookings, tours etc just in case.

We have not received and email about the changes as yet so thanks to Josh the OP for alerting me to it.

10,000+ Club

We haven't received an email either.  I guess there is some pattern to its roll-out but so far our CP is accessible for our cruise later this month (had panic and booked an excursion I'd been undecided about in case it's not working any time soon!) also those booked next year.  But thanks for the heads up.  Let's hope it's seamless.

We've certainly not 'gone green' so it's nothing to do with that.  We had our excursions brochure with the labels in the back for the cruise we did last month - oh it's not called "Excursions" any more - it's now "Shore Experiences" and the poor Port Presenter - the excellent Sam - had to remember every time he talked that he said 'Experiences' and not 'Excursions'.

I haven't received that e-mail either.  Although we haven't got a cruise booked until next year I did go and check out my CP and both my husband's and my passport numbers weren't correct!!

Saltybutnice13

Well this is the final straw for us.

We go on back to back cruise on Friday Trans Atlantic and Caribbean on Azura.

Our flight home was with Thomas Cook. No alternative given by P&O yet and we have been told that we will not

know until we are on the ship.

We had booked Premium Economy and paid for our chosen seats. The only email from P&O was on Sept 23.

In this it stated that when a new flight is allocated we would be able to go to our Cruise Personaliser and rebook seats.

Now they are saying nothing can be booked on CP and the new site "My P&O Cruises" will be up and running "SHORTLY".

Everyone will have to register on this new site. Considering we have eight sea days out of Southampton with

Madeira our only port of call before the Caribbean. It looks like we have been hung out to dry by P&O.

I have to say that the timing seems strange for this given the uncertainty several people have raised on here about flights and rebooking seats.

Their IT changes never seem to be done well or properly tested before launch, let’s hope this one is better.

Probably one of the best speakers/lecturers of any type that I have listened to on or off cruuse ships.

Sorry for the thread drift!

I get the feeling that P&O,  like many other companies,  are literally flying by the seat of their pants (sorry!), trying to find hundreds of spare aircraft seats of any type following the demise of TC.

I agree that given this scenario,  it is sheer madness to try and implement a new cruise personaliser system at present.

Whatever people may think about P&O ships and cruises, the one thing I think we can all agree on, is that their IT department and systems are just dreadful.

I have received this e-mail and not not chosen to ‘go green’.  If their pathetic attempt at a new online booking website Is anything to go by, we may expect a complete disaster, at which point I will be enquiring whether their IT personnel are in the business of sabotage.

Presumably if you are on a P&O cruise the future cruise desk or customer service will be able to liaise with home office to establish what is happening and to help you re-book your seats once its known.

Checked my details today from Greece. Most of my future cruises are there but one on Aurora next October is missing. Typically.

About time they changed this system. The personaliser has felt very old fashioned for sometime now. Surely it time for a decent app that can also be used on board to make theatre bookings and restaurant bookings along with the spa. The daily program should also be available on various devices rather than the waste caused by printing. In this day and age you don't often see many people without a smartphone, iPad or kindle!

jeanlyon

I haven't had that email either, but agree that CP is ridiculous, in that you have to log in for each cruise with a different cruise ref.  Surely you should be able to see them all together under the log in.

All very simple to achieve, all very logical.  Costs money though, and Carnival don't like spending it, whatever the impact on customers,  and, apparently,  whatever the impact on long term profitability.

Probably has a lot to do with keeping short term profits up to boost directors' bonuses.

Having been on several MSC cruises recently their version of the whole 'smart ship' concept is superb. Long term it must be cheaper as saves huge amount on paper

Believe me - there are still plenty of us Luddites around  😃 .  The last thing I want to do is access the daily programme on a screen thank you - I do enough of that at home.

Accessing it from your smartphone is just so much more convenient though. Always have phone on me but always forget to pick up the daily paper

" We are very sorry but our Contact Centre will be closed today due to an IT issue over the weekend which has affected our telephone systems meaning we are unable to open our telephone lines today.  Please either call back later this week or  fill in our online form . We will get back to you as soon as possible.  "

Might be connected.

Thanks for the info - I would guess there is a connection [or a disconnection!]  😉

I can still get into Cruise Personaliser.  Used the Already Booked? link.

I can log in using the above link, but it's still showing my now cancelled November cruise as still being on!

Yes I have seen the message about the call centre being down due to IT issues.  Not a good situation.  I already had concerns about P&O's IT, mainly due to still not having received my FCCs.  Now I have even more concerns.

Mine is just showing the 'spinning wheel'

majortom10

P&O/Cunard have announced on Facebook that they are again having major problems which has affected their contact centre and their phone lines so dont know if this is also causing problems with IT system as well.

Seems this is not the only time with P&O - not sure about Cunard......

What a surprise, P&O having an IT problem, I thought that was a normal state of affairs for P&O. 😔 😔

I can still get in to CP for my October cruise that was (a) cancelled back in July when I supposedly took an FCC for the deposit and (b) supposed to be now cancelled by P&O for which I have asked for a refund of the deposit!!

Elaine has a few health issues, and the hospital Doncaster and Sheffield hospital seem to be opening up to appointment's again.

But part from that we are doing ok thank you, hope you and Frank are ok.                   Looking forward to when we can all go cruising again, it's always been Elaine's thing and I tagged  along, but I have to say I am really missing it.

I'll  interesting to see if they give you a full refund, as their FAQ says that once you take a FCC, all refunds are in FCC rather than real money.  When they (FCC) eventually show on my account I have to decide if to go down the FCC route or refund route.

Technical issue not of P&O or Cunard's making.

Thanks

Thing is, they first of all had the option of 110% FCC for the deposit or a Transfer.  So we took the FCC.  However, it has never appeared on our P&O account and the TA can't see it either.  After 2 days, they removed the option of an FCC and you could only transfer.  Now they have actually cancelled the cruise, so I filled in the form for a refund of deposit.  Hilarious.  Luckily it's a small amount.
