First time in Finale Ligure? The best way to start your holiday is with a tour of some of the most iconic trails in the area, something you absolutely cannot miss.

Shuttles run from 9.00am to 5.00pm. That can be anything from 5-10 rides in a day depending on the choice of trails and the group’s ability. Groups are 5-9 riders with one guide. You need to bring lunch or €10-15/day for the lunch stops where a biker’s menu is often offered.

Pedaled day tours are circa 6 hours with lunch stop  to rest and refuel. Either we stop for lunch in one of the picturesque restaurants in the valleys or we can stop for a quick panini in a bar. Generally we do 3-4 ups/day depending on the group, which makes 1000-1600m up in a day, being 3-400m up in one strap. Uphills are on Tarmac, dirt road and trail.

It is useful that you bring specific parts  for your bike as Finale is a pretty small place. There are a bunch of bike shops however it can be hard to find brand specific parts fast like a rear hanger.

It is your responsibility to make sure you have the appropriate insurance for your activities during your stay with us. Mountain biking is a high-risk activity practiced at your own risk!

Tour 1 - Badlands

A thorough exploration of the territory has led us to build a tour for those who want to defy gravity on their bike, on technical trails and breathtaking views.

Tour Details: We depart from Finale Ligure with a shuttle ride to the Nato Base, from where we head northeast to start our journey on our exclusive trails!

The shuttle will assist us with transfers to fully enjoy the epic descents that await us. We'll ride a succession of natural and man-made trails with super fun technical sections, jumps, and rock features.

Our highlight for this tour is the area of Calanchi, unique formations similar to the Red Bull Rampage area, where we have built a breathtaking ridge trail, as well as the opportunity for freeride on the sand and rock dunes all around the trail. A unique area that deserves some souvenir shots or a manual video on the exposed ridge!

After experiencing these wonders and having lunch at a typical restaurant with local delights, we'll head back, still assisted by the shuttle, to return to Finale with one of the trails like Crestino, Ingegnere, or Rollercoaster and Cacciatore, for example.

Wonderful sea views will frame our last descent, before ending the day with a well-deserved beer in Finale Ligure.

Tour 2 - Flow

Join us on a one-of-a-kind tour that takes you through exclusive trails, which only we can offer! We will lead you to lesser-known areas that are steeped in myths and legends, and through spectacular tracks! The trails are maintained by skilled hands who work out of passion and to have fun on their creations, of course!

We will start from Finale Ligure with a shuttle lift to Nato Base. We’ll then follow one of the trails that have made this place famous all over the world, but we will soon leave the glamour of Finale to venture into the wild east.

The shuttle will help us with a transfer to the Adelasia Nature Preserve and the surrounding areas, a mystical place full of legends, such as that of Princess Adelasia.

Here we will ride the trails maintained in perfect conditions by local volunteers with our help. Super flowy lines built to perfection, immersed in beech and oak woods.

The technical level of the trails is on average lower than that of Finale, thanks to the fact that they are less ridden and built on softer terrain. However, they are ready to satisfy each type of biker, from the easy rider to the most expert.

After enjoying these wonders and having lunch in a typical restaurant with local delights, we will take the return route, always with shuttle assistance, to ride back to Finale with a trail such as Crestino or Ingegnere.

Wonderful glimpses of the sea will frame our last descent, before finishing the day with a well-deserved beer in Finale Ligure.

The "Finale Classic" shuttle tour is perfect for riders looking to explore the iconic trails that have made Finale Ligure a world-renowned mountain biking destination. With experienced local guides leading the way, you'll ride on some of the best trails in the area, including Nato Base, Roller Coaster, H, Toboga di Canova, and Little Champery. Lunch time is an important moment. Our goal is to provide an unforgettable experience on your bike as much as we wish you to taste the best local cuisine and traditions. That's why lunch at a typical tavern with delicious homemade food is included in the tour.

"BEYOND FINALE" 4X4 SHUTTLE TOUR

Not a first timer in the area, and actually want to ride something different or less crowded or more wild?Look no further!

If you're looking for something off the beaten path, the "Beyond Finale" 4x4 shuttle tour takes you to the Monte Carmo mountain for a more wild and natural singletrack experience. Accessible only by a 4 wheel drive Land Rover Defender, these special trails offer stunning views and a unique riding experience. Riding up to almost 1400m above the sea, on clear days you will enjoy a 360 degree view from mountain peaks to the sea.  Lunch at a traditional tavern is also included in this tour.

"JUMP LINE" TOUR

Diano Marina, a charming seaside town located about 50km from Finale, offers a unique trail experience. For riders seeking adrenaline-pumping jumps and coastal scenery, the "Jump Line" tour in Diano Marina is the perfect choice. ALL MOUNTAIN TRIP

(2 to 5 days point to point itinerary).

A Mountain Bike journey through crests and valleys, from the sea to the mountains and back, to discover incredible locations and exciting single track. An original itinerary, a future classic.  

If you are a serial single track rider looking for a perfect trail and you believe that discovering and exploring is the only way to make a mountain bike ride truly unique….

If you are fascinated by the idea of riding your mountain bike over a few days but you are put off by the thought of a bag mounted to your frame or a heavy rucksack…

If, as well as enjoying the trails, you would like to taste local delicacies and you think that a good glass of red wine is the perfect ending of a tour with your friends…  

….then this is exactly what you have been waiting for!

This is a mountain bike tour in the spirit of All Mountain

Supported by a van with a bike trailer.  .

The presence of the support vehicle allows the riders to travel light and still be able to ride with all the proper mountain bike kit and equipment; it also allows quick transfers uphill on paved road, in order to maximise the time spent in the saddle off-road.

The tour is organised OVER TWO DAYS and covers a long loop that starts and finishes on the western side of the Ligurian coast, nearby Finale Ligure (in the province of Savona); the furthest point of the tour is Valcasotto (in the province of Cuneo) at the foothills of Bric Mindino mountain. The whole loop is about 80 km long with 2000 metres of climbing and 4000 metres of descending.

At the heart of the itinerary we will discover Alta Val Tanaro, in particular Valdinferno, a fascinating valley known for its wild and challenging sections; it was named by Napoleon Bonaparte on his difficult journey back to France. The main purpose of the tour is to explore, therefore the details of the itinerary are usually defined according to the guests’ preferences and needs. As there is no need to rush, we will have all the time to appreciate the charming natural and historical context, away from the usual tourist destinations. And then, of course, the trails: natural, long, unexpected and fun…. enough to keep you smiling right into the following week!

On the FIRST DAY we will leave Finale Ligure and we will travel up Colle Melogno in the van; afterwards, we will begin our journey riding both on exciting trails and through old historical hamlets, such as Calizzano, Garessio e Valdinferno. An adventure which will lead us to the discovery of the Ligurian outback, still unknown to many, and the southern parts of Piemonte with its wonderful trails. Once we reach Valcasotto, we will stop for the night; the accommodation is an old restored mill where we will find our luggage and have the opportunity to taste some delicious local specialities ( https://www.occelli.it/en ). The overnight stay is arranged in cosy and comfortable double rooms. On the second day, we will climb up to Colla di Casotto in the van and we will ride the long trail through Garessio 2000, Zuccarello village and Monte Croce Sanctuary (Madonna di Balestrino) before reaching the end of the itinerary in Toirano and transfer to Finale.

The level of riding difficulty varies between S1 and S2; it is therefore not a suitable tour for beginners. The itinerary is totally rideable with a mountain-bike, preferably full-suspension with 140 / 160 mm of travel.

The rider should have a good level of fitness (roughy 1000 mts to climb per day, in part on steep rough terrain). In order to limit the amount of physical effort required and maximize the pleasure on single tracks climbs, you may consider using an e-bike.

The duration of the tour is normally 2 days; however, it can be easily extended to 3 days by adding an extra activity half way through. The activity will be defined at the time of the booking. The groups will be able to decide between an all mountain loop - either a shuttle assisted or a pedal tour - or a ride in one of the two local bike parks (depending on the opening times of the facility).

If you need someone to organise your trip in Finale Ligure you are in the right spot. Not only we offer a shuttle service with the coolest Jeep in the valley, but we also can provide you with the best accommodations, restaurants and, obviously, guiding services. If you’re looking for a cozy stay in the nature you can stay in our B&B in the middle of the mountains.

In order to have the best riding days in Finale Ligure you definitely need to be able to have the best MTB accommodation. We have a lot of friends and we have different perfect accommodations for MTB riders... as you can imagine we do only consider spots with a proper bike storage and washing facilities. ‍ Do not hesitate to send us an email with your needs! We'll be able to help you out! ‍ If you really want to book directly here you will find our favourites accommodations: ‍ B&B del Cantoniere basically we're inviting to stay in our home! We live in the middle of the forest next to the beginning of the Roller Coaster trail. If you want to be in the middle of the nature and relax this is by far the best place you can choose. We have 2 small apartments with wi-fi and you'll have the beautiful breakfast served in our Osteria (next door). Our b&b is sponsored by Cannondale and you will have available all the tools and products you want/need to take care of your bike. If you prefer to stay closer to the sea we can suggest to stay at Erasmo B&B. This place is owned by Oddone Bike Shop and you'll be able to have your bike serviced and drink the good beers that their bar has to offer. ‍ We also have agreements with many other hotels and accommodations so just let us know and we'll be happy to organise it for your group!

After a long day of Jeep Shuttling in Finale Ligure you need to start looking for the best restaurants in town! Our MTB Guides will be able to provide you with the latest infos about newest restaurants and new openings, but here you will find our selection of the best restaurants in Finale Ligure and its surroundings: ‍ Osteria del Cantoniere: Amazing food in the middle of the forest. Cozy place where everything is handmade by Maurizio, our chef. This Osteria is small and it is situated at the top of the mountain (close to the beginning of Roller Coaster trail). Don't miss the Panna Cotta! ‍ Grotesque: If you come to Finale Ligure you need to have dinner (or lunch if you're lazy and you're not biking!) in this amazing restaurant in Finale Ligure. The cozy restaurant is a couple of hundreds meter far from the main square and it is often pretty packed... you want to reserve well in time! Talk to Simo (the owner) and ask for some special drinks at the end of the dinner... you won't be disappointed! ‍ Sotto il Santo: this restaurant is probably the best pasta place in the whole region and it is situated in the main square of Finalborgo. It is a tiny place but it has a lot of space outside, in the middle of the square! In here pasta is a sort of religion, you can't miss it!

After a day spent freeriding in Finale Ligure with our MTB Jeep Shuttle there is only one thing you'll be looking for: your well deserved aperitivo! Maybe you’re not the best biker in Finale in the world but DEFINITELY you deserve a beer after riding your bike for the whole day! People are coming for Finale also for the amazing aperitivo. You could have some good wine, some crafted beer or some Spritz, here you will find a list of our favorite spots for the aperitivo: ‍ Caviglia Bar , is one of our favorite bars to have Aperitivo in Finale Ligure. Bar Caviglia is situated in the main square of Finale Ligure and you can sit outside in the sun while drinking your beer or spritz. ‍ Oddone Bike Caffé , is one of our favorite aperitivo's spot as well. It is situated in Finale Ligure and it is also a Bike Shop. Once you're in there you'll be able to have your biked fixed, to buy your favorite t-shirt or new helmet... while drinking a good beer from the cool selection of Andrea, owner of the Bar. You definitely won't be disappointed! ‍ Antico Pozzo: Depending on the when you come to visit us in Finale Ligure you might prefer to stay in the medieval village of Finalborgo instead of staying closer to the beach in Finale Ligure. In this case do not worry, we got your back covered... we can suggest the Antico Pozzo bar in front of the church of the medieval village! You'll be drinking your aperitivo in one of the coolest historical places in Italy.

We know that shredding flowy trails in the Finale Outdoor Resort and our secret backcountry spots can be exhausting... This is why - on top of beers and spritz - we need to have back some sugars and we eat A LOT OF GELATO! ‍ As you can understand we are ice cream addicted so we will know exactly when and where to stop during our long days of freeriding and shuttling. Our favorite Gelato Places are: Bar Centrale in Finalborgo: is the main bar in the medieval village and you will often have to queue in order to have your gelato... but we think that it is always worth waiting for their gelato! ‍ Pastorino Gelateria: This gelateria is in Calice Ligure and it is just a-m-a-z-i-n-g! ‍ La Gelateria Yogurt: this gelateria is actually in Varigotti (5km from Finale Ligure) so you might think that it is a little bit far... well, did you ever consider that DH Man, probably the most iconic trail of Finale Ligure (last stage of every Enduro World Series appointment in Finale) ends right there?

You can arrive via plane (best airports are Nice in France and Genova in Italy), via car and via train. Having a car in Finale Ligure is a plus but not something needed... you're going to have your bike anyway! Let us know how you're planning to come here and we will help you out!

Yes, you can fly near Finale (either Nice or Genova are ok). Genova is closer (around 45 mins by car) and around 1h with the train. Nice is a little bit more far but it is a bigger airport with more flights. We offer a service of pick-up from the airports, just send us an email and we'll organise the pick up for you and your friends!

Finale Ligure is the Enduro Mecca, so an Enduro Bike is the best you can have. As you will have understood we are MTB free riders. We like riding trails where we are sure we won't meet other riders and we are not afraid of pedaling a little bit or even carry the bike on our shoulders - so don't come with the heaviest bike you have! ‍ Since most of our tours (except for the Classic Day) require some pedaling it is better not to have a DH bike. But if you want to ride your DH bike just let us know and we’ll try to adjust our plans accordingly. ‍ We normally ride our Cannondale Bikes (either Jekyll or Habit).

We are partners with the best shops and mechanics in town. Normally we work with Oddone Bici and Ultimate Bike Shop. We can also rent bikes from these shops in case you need one.

Our guides are really good mechanics, but in case your bike is not immediately fixable we kindly request our drivers to rent a bike for you so you won’t miss your riding day! We'll do our best to let you ride!

We normally start at around 9am (or slightly before or slightly after depending on the hangover) and then we go up in the mountains. Normally we can stop and have a good Italian coffee in the middle of the morning and then a good lunch (around 10€, max 15€). We will be back in Finale at around 5/6pm depending on the period of the year and then we will have a good aperitivo all together in Finale or on the beach.

We always recommend the use of the full face helmet: we know, sometimes it can be annoying pedaling with a full face, but it is so nice to wear a full face when you fall! We also suggest you to have a back protector. Gloves and kneepads are compulsory.

Normally the weather in Finale Ligure is good. We are in Italy! By the way you never know what kind of weather and temperatures you're going to find. The best months to ride your bike in Finale Ligure are normally from February to June and from September to December. During the summer it is pretty hot, if you want to ride during these months you want to take a look at the transligurian trip... we would be riding often over 1500mt and the temperatures would be just perfect. Obviously it depends a lot on the seasons, but we have been riding during Christmas holidays with just a t-shirt on and we had some mornings in June where we were lucky to have our down jackets with us! ‍ Always remember that we’re riding through forests and mountains (even more than 1000mt) so a backpack with a warm jacket and something dry to keep in the jeep is always a good idea!

After a day spent riding your bike on our secret trails with one of our MTB Guides you will have to go in Finalborgo or Finale Ligure to have one of the best Aperitivo you ever had. After a nice dinner and a gelato you need to start looking for some music and drinks. If Finalborgo and its bars are our choice for dinner and immediately after, the main square of Finale Ligure becomes the most important place where to go in order to find good music and good drinks or beers. You can choose between Caffé Caviglia (our choice), San Pedro and Van Gogh. These bars are all in the main square, are open all year long and they'll make you happy! If the days spent riding the wild side of Finale haven't been enough for you and you still have many energies left, you might want to explore the main clubs around Finale Ligure. In Finale Ligure you won't be able to find anything interesting dancing-wise, but here you will have a list of the main clubs in the cities nearby: ‍ Sirio Beach & Restaurant, located in Sportorno - you want to go there on thursdays starting from the beginning of June. You can stay on the beach or dance next to it. ‍ Essaouira, in Albenga, is a nice club, partially open air. ‍ The last one is in Alassio and is called Le Vele. It is pretty common to find good DJs and more techno/house music here. Have fun, enjoy the nightlife of Finale Ligure but remember that we're waiting for you on the trails the day after! 🙂
