The AMA Arenacross National Championship Series recognizes the best Arenacross racers in a number of skill-, age- and displacement-based classes.  AX Promotions  organizes the AMA Arenacross National Championship Series, managing the promotional aspects of the series. They work with the AMA to develop the supplemental rules and program structure.

Event Details

The Arenacross British Championship is back for 2024!

Arenacross is a show like no other. It’s a high-octane mix of indoor Motocross racing from 6yo kids to the top Pros, Freestyle Motocross (FMX) madness and it’s packed to the rafters with all-round family fun and frenzied entertainment. It’s guaranteed to keep you on your feet yelling and hollering for more!

Round 1 kicked off at Bolesworth, Chester in September and set the scene for a 7 round tour of the UK in January and February 2023, where the reigning Champion Tommy Searle, and last year’s runner up Conrad Mewse will be returning to battle for the 2024 title.

Freestyle Motocross features throughout the show, and takes the action, quite literally, to another level! It’s mind-blowing, spectacular and dangerous in equal measure. It takes place some 60ft in the air when a group of insanely talented ‘rebels’ fly off a huge ramp over a platform in the centre of the arena, throwing loads of cool and seemingly impossible tricks, one-handed, no-handed, sideways, upside-down, you name it, they do it.

These awesome sporting stars compete in year-round world tour events such as the X-Games and Red Bull X-Fighters, but … you’ve got to get involved as the louder you scream, the bigger the tricks.

There is so much more to Arenacross all aimed at keeping the audience engaged and shrieking for more. Make sure you arrive early for the pre show autograph sessions as doors to the venue open, but don’t just take our word for it …. BUY TICKETS!

Arenacross Is Set To Bring Action Sports To Aberdeen

  • Press Releases
  • Coming Soon

The 2023 Arenacross Tour presented by Fix Auto UK launched in Aberdeen yesterday, Thursday 24th November 2022.

In attendance were the Scottish three-times British Motocross Champion and Motocross Grand Prix winner Shaun Simpson, local youth rider Alfie Stott, and Arenacross series promoter Matt Bates.

Arenacross is a hugely popular sports and entertainment show which is set to raise the rafters of the P&J Live, for the only Scottish stop of the Tour, when it visits the city for the first time ever next year on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of January.

The show is a high-octane mix of indoor Motocross racing and Freestyle MX carefully choreographed into a three-hour live performance that includes lasers, pyrotechnics and unscripted racing all performed to an adrenaline-inducing soundtrack. It’s a brilliant family night out that’s suitable for all ages.

Expect to see the very best British motocross racers, including the reigning British MX1 champion Tommy Searle and British MX2 champion Conrad Mewse, line up for a series of short and sharp eliminator races, leading to the event’s main finale where there can only be one winner. It’s brutal, yet fun, and you don’t even need to know anything about motocross racing to enjoy it!

When local hero Simpson takes to the line, he’ll be battling for the right to be crowned ACU (Auto Cycle Union) British Arenacross Champion as, in another first for 2023, the championship is endorsed by the UK’s motorcycling governing body and Arenacross will have full British Championship status.

Elsewhere within the racing arena will be youngsters from within the vicinity of Aberdeen on electric bikes contesting the all-new KTM AXE5 championship. There’ll also be racing for all age groups for racers from just six-years of age right the way through to the Professionals.

Freestyle Motocross forms a significant part of the Arenacross extravaganza and, quite literally, takes the action to another level.

Embracing the positive impact the visit to Aberdeen will have on Arenacross, series promoter Matt Bates said; “The opportunity to bring such an action-packed show to Aberdeen’s incredible P&J Live is something that, once we visited the venue, was an absolute no-brainer. It’s one of the most incredible venues to stage indoor Motocross and on behalf of our entire team, we can’t wait to roll up in January and shock the Scottish fans with the fastest and most exciting indoor family show.”

The 2023 Arenacross Tour:

  • Round 1: Friday 20th January – SSE Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland
  • Round 2: Saturday 21st January – SSE Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland
  • Round 3: Saturday 28th January – P&J Live, Aberdeen, Scotland
  • Round 4: Sunday 29th January – P&J Live, Aberdeen, Scotland

AO Arena is being filled with thousands of tonnes of dirt for a night of motocross racing and unreal stunts

The dancefloor has become a dirt track to make way for hours of non-stop gravity-defying and nail-biting carnage. Sold.

Danny Jones

Manchester’s AO Arena is being filled with thousands of tonnes of dirt ahead of a truly epic, high-octane night of dirtbike racing, freestyle motocross and stunts you’ll only be able to watch through your fingers.

Over 3000 tonnes, to be precise — all courtesy of the much-anticipated Arenacross Tour 2024 .

That’s right: whether you can picture it or not, one of Manchester’s most iconic and beloved venues, where many of you will have watched countless gigs and live performances over the years, is set to be turned into one big dirt track, complete with giant makeshift ramps, jumps and more.

With the AO set to host one of the Arena ‘s most action-packed and biggest nights of extreme sports in the UK for just the third time in the event’s history, fans can expect everything from seven-year-old racing starlets to top pros competing for coveted titles.

Taking two days to build from start to finish including moving the dirt, the multi-discipline motocross event’s visit to Manchester on Saturday, 6 January has seen a total of 5,000 tonnes shipped from Bolesworth Castle in Tattenhall, Cheshire — the home of the Arenacross Festival — to assemble the full track and all its various aspects.

Requiring huge 25 dump trucks working around the clock (we’re talking loading the dirt until gone midnight and hauling it to the city centre by 5am that same day), a core team of 60 people and plenty more Arena staff chip to bring this gloriously muddy and petrol-fumed wonder to life.

Now into just the second round of Arenacross British Championship , Mancs will get to see the likes of reigning Champion Tommy Searle and last year’s runner-up Conrad Mewse battling it out for the 2024 title, as well all lots of tricks and bikes flying over 60 feet high in the air.

More than 500,000 people have come along to watch these events over the past decade and, considering what’s on show, it’s no surprise.

  • 16-year-old Luke Littler looks wise beyond his years in humble but happy post-final interviews
  • The city centre’s legendary Chinese New Year Dragon Parade confirmed for return in 2024
  • Manchester Storm break annual attendance record as UK ice hockey crowds continue to grow

As you can see, it isn’t just about what people are doing on two wheels either: there’s plenty of pyrotechnics, light shows and general fanfare to be enjoyed.

It’s the only indoor event of its kind anywhere in the UK and with this being their 78th show and their 10-year anniversary year, the organisers are determined to make this Manchester date bigger and better than ever.

It’s been five long years since Arenacross last came to Manchester and they’ve shifted over a quarter of a million tonnes of dirt to bring this thing to life since it started. Even witnessing the mountains of dirt being dumped into the middle of a floor we’re used to dancing on was pretty surreal.

This is definitely one of those things where you need to see it to believe it, so if you’re interested in experiencing the only indoor motocross event in the country this Saturday, you can grab your tickets for the event HERE .

A local Manchester business has sarcastically pointed out the glaring similarities between a new t-shirt on ASOS and one of its own designs.

Club de Padel has a range of retro-inspired merch with UN:IK, a small independent streetwear brand also based here in Manchester.

Its collection of t-shirts, hoodies, tracksuits, hats and bags often feature a design of an illustrated padel ball (which to the untrained eye is basically a tennis ball) in motion.

But this week a t-shirt appeared on ASOS that also featured an illustrated padel ball in motion, just in a slightly different colour palette.

The ASOS version, which has now been removed from sale, also undercut Club de Padel’s price by £6.

Since Club de Padel took the ’embarrassing’ copycat product public on their Instagram page, ASOS has launched an investigation and taken it off their website.

The sports venture, based at Deansgate Square and the only padel club in Manchester, wrote: “Love the new designs ASOS, kinda reminds us of something though…

The ASOS t-shirt that Club de Padel has said copies their merch. Credit: ASOS

“Ah. Well that’s embarrassing… We’ve got a new line coming soon with UN:IK Clothing you’re just gonna love ASOS.

“In the meantime we made this for you @asos, save your design team a job.”

An ASOS spokesperson said: “We take intellectual property issues very seriously and have removed this product from sale while we investigate further.”

Of the Club de Padel and UN:IK collaboration , aka the real deal, UN:IK says it has ‘served up a staple for us, retro inspired leisure pieces with Manchester’s first ever padel club’.

They wrote: “Inspired by owners after a trip to Spain, Club de Padel has hit the city with a wave and the lifestyle brand we have created with them reinforces the fastest growing sport across Europe.

“Our classic vintage washes and oversized fits, working with independent designs as always on this local independent partnership. Don’t be afraid to the sport, we’ll guarantee you love it as much as these clothes.”

Manchester Remembers kits 2024

The Manchester Remembers Foundation have just released the official kit designs for this year’s upcoming charity football match and they’re utterly amazing.

The 2024 Manchester Remembers charity game is fast approaching, with this year’s edition set to take place in July and the excitement is really starting to build – especially with kits as eye-catching as these.

Roping in help from local media and production company Badger and Coombes , as well as getting Lionesses legend Sue Smith involved in the kit launch, the brand new Legends and Celebs kits have finally been revealed in extremely fine fashion.

Lovingly made once again by Oldham-based kit manufacturers, Hope and Glory , and with Salfordian fashion brand Marc Darcy Menswear serving as the main sponsor, the new shirt designs feature incredibly detailed drawings of recognisable locations around Manchester. Just look at them:

Introducing the New @mcrremembers kits 🤩 These beautiful kits feature intricate drawings of some of Manchester’s Most famous and iconic sites. ‘A must own for every Mancunian’ 🐝 Hang it on your wall, Hang them in the Louvre! 🖼️ LINK 🔗 IN BIO @suesmith8 🤝🏼 @badgermcr pic.twitter.com/ePbNY9Iocb — The McrRemembers Foundation™️⚽️🐝 (@McrRemembers) April 19, 2024

As you can see, iconic Manc landmarks like Old Trafford and the Etihad Stadium take pride of place in the semi-opaque sublimated pattern on both the white and black versions of the kit.

Other noticeable buildings include Manchester Cathedral, the Central Library, Manchester Central (formerly the GMEX) and even a nice little nod to the Metrolink and Bee Network, just to name a few.

The incredibly detailed design pays homage to the city we all know and love and is a big step up from the already very well-received kits from last year’s charity match.

Once again, all the proceeds from the shirt sales go straight back into the Manchester Remembers Foundation and its partnered charities, which raise money for the families of those sadly lost in the 2017 Manchester Arena attack .

  • Greater Manchester clubs and Kellogg’s team up for free kids’ football camps this summer
  • Mother of Manchester Arena victim to walk to Downing Street to demand new security law
  • ‘Iconic’: Manchester United officially launch Stone Roses collection with Adidas

With a whole host of exciting names taking part in the 2024 edition of the charitable community-driven event, including ex- Manchester United stars Antonia Valencia and Danny Simpson, local celebs like soap star Adam Thomas, YouTuber ‘Angry Ginge’ and many more, it’s going to be a momentous day.

This year marks just the third time the game has been held but the amazing people attached to this non-profit, not to mention the thousands that have turned up to see the wholesome fixture, have already helped raise over £117k for the associated charities. Unbelievable stuff.

Returning to Oldham Athletic ‘s Boundary Park for the second year running, tickets for the game on Sunday, 28 July are already available and priced at only a fiver for under 16s and just £10 for adults, it’s one of the most uplifting and affordable afternoons of live sport you’ll find the region.

If you’ve not heard about this truly inspiring annual match until now, you can find out more HERE .

Opening at Bolesworth Castle, Cheshire (September 15-17) with the brand-new showpiece Arenacross Festival for round 1, the series will officially hit the road in January heading to five venues in three countries.

It’ll be a real happy new year for Arenacross fans in Manchester as the championship heads to the AO Arena on 6 January, before crossing the Irish Sea to the SSE Arena, Belfast (19 & 20 January), then jets north to P&J Live Arena, Aberdeen (26 & 27 January), on to the Resorts World Arena, Birmingham (3 February) before the spectacular finale at the OVO Arena Wembley, London (24 February).

The 2023 edition of Arenacross marked the first time the series was classed as an official British Championship by the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), with Tommy Searle triumphing following a season-long battle with Conrad Mewse.

Arenacross is a show without compare, featuring a high-octane mix of unparalleled indoor motocross racing and freestyle motocross (FMX) derring-do, whilst being simultaneously packed with all-round family fun and frenzied entertainment.

The series has been thrilling crowds across the length and breadth of the UK for over a decade and has staged around 70 adrenaline-fuelled shows, entertaining over 300,000 action-hungry fans in the process.

Aerosmith, The Black Crowes announce new tour dates. Get tickets to Indianapolis concert

The long-anticipated Aerosmith "Peace Out: Farewell Tour" is back after a postponement due to a vocal injury to Steven Tyler, the lead singer.

Aerosmith announced new tour dates on April 10, and the "Peace Out" tour, featuring The Black Crowes, will rock the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Jan. 16, 2025, towards the end of tour dates. The tour begins on Sept. 20 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and concludes on Feb. 26, 2025, in Buffalo, New York.

The tour, which kicked off in September 2023, was postponed due to a vocal injury experienced by lead singer. The band posted on Instagram on Sept. 29, 2023, telling fans shows wouldn't continue until 2024.

"To our fans: Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care. He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential," according to the caption.

Indianapolis concerts: Maroon 5 and Maren Morris will return to the Indy area this summer. How to get tickets

The band posted again on April 10 revealing new tour dates.  "All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows – you’ll receive more info via email. Tickets for the rescheduled dates & newly added shows go on sale Fri 4/12 @ 10AM local at aerosmith.com," according to the caption.

Aerosmith and The Black Crowes is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, located at 125 S Pennsylvania St. in Indianapolis. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. Click here to learn more.
