5 Kpop tour packages in Korea for all Kpop fans!

There are certain things that Kpop fans should do during their trip to Korea. Some of these are attending a kpop event to see one of your favorite idols, going to a filming location where your favorite kpop/kdrama was filmed, and going to your bias’ favorite restaurant. Going to these locations are much easier when you are part of a curated and planned tour package. Here are a list of Kpop tour packages in Korea for all Kpop fans that I have picked from Klook and Trazy , my personal favorite website to book anything when traveling in Asia.

Most of these exclusive tours are only for foreigners as they want to promote tourism. Be sure to read fine print before booking and see the different options of packages from where they pick up, to different locations the package will guide you through. Some Kpop tour packages in Korea will not conduct if there are less than a certain amount of people signed up to the tour.

MBC Daejanggeum Park MBC Daejanggeum Park in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do is the largest historical drama open set in Korea. It has been re-created based on historical records and very accurately reflects the structures and culture of ancient times. Also, the park is the filming location for hugely popular Korean historical dramas such as “Moon Embracing the Sun (2012)” featuring Kim Soo-hyun, and “Gu Family Book (2013)” starring Lee Seung-gi and Suzy. Of course, we must talk about its namesake drama, “Dae Jang Geum (2003).” The park is also for commercial and advertisement filming, as well as serving as a historical backdrop for international features on Korea’s history.

SM TOWN Theme Park SM TOWN, a must-see place in Kpop tour, is an entertainment space full of various experiences of SM entertainment stars. 1 st  floor is welcome stage and the stars broadcasts are broadcasted through starwall. And 2 nd  floor is the celebrity shop exhibiting and selling fashion, beauty and lifestyle items of celebrities and souvenirs. On the 3 rd  floor SMTOWN studio, you can tour the vocal and dance training room, recording room and music video studio, experiencing the life of an artist. I had never imagined I would ever get close to North Korea in my life but what had happened today will forever be a memory I won’t forget! Miss Kim Hyeonjeong was an incredibly smart, professional, kind, humorous and informative tour guide that really made the trip easy to follow and enjoy. The whole tour was full of information regarding the history of the Korean War, stories of civilians and soldiers, and relative history from 1950-2018 as well as the history and information for buildings and areas around the DMZ. What I really enjoyed (even though it was definitely a work out) was that we had an opportunity to enter the 3rd tunnel (which was built by North Korea after the truce to plan to invade Seoul back in the 70s) and walk the same path North Korean soldiers once walked and came about 170 meters (557 feet) away from crossing into North Korea itself. Currently, this is the closest a civilian is able to get to North Korea (even if it is underground). Sadly, this was one of the places pictures were not allowed to be taken in. Also, today ended up being a bit foggy, but we were still able to see various towns, roads, buildings and scenery of North Korea from The Dora Observatory. Another thing I really enjoyed was the little additional facts and stories about people and battles involved in pretty important moments between the North and the South told usually in between the locations during the bus ride. Overall, it was a very long and quite tiering tour, but there was enough variation and breaks to help keep you pushing through. When on this tour, It was incredibly important to keep track of the time so make sure when you go to the bathroom, eat, or buy something you have enough time to get back to the meeting place. I felt as though we had plenty of time at our rest stops. Breakfast and dinner is not included but you have the option during lunch time to check out the food court on the second floor. You can also get snacks and souvenirs throughout the trip. One thing I noticed is was a lot of souvenirs were the same so if you miss one giftshop at one stop, it’s ok because what you will most likely want will be at the next one. I got 2 magnets, one of which is was 10,000 won and the other 6,000 won. If you have the chance to check out the DMZ in Korea, you definitely should! It’s a great way to understand the history and current relations of these two nations. I’m really glad I decided to go on this tour! Read more Written April 29, 2024

From the friendly welcome in the morning (she was already 30 minutes early at the meeting point!!), to the competent and also very amusing and funny explanations during the excursion, to the safe transfer back to Seoul. Many thanks of course also to our bus driver who took us safely to all our destinations. The tour (DMZ, 3rd invasion tunnel, red suspension bridge with waterfall and temple) in general was very well organised. The transfer (there and back from/to Seoul Myeongdong) was also no problem, taking around an hour each way in a cosy air-conditioned bus. Due to the many sights, there was a very tight schedule and therefore only short stops at all the spots, which you just have to live with. Joey shared the history of “Joseon” clearly and it was heartbreaking on how Korea divided into two, South and North. Even more heartbreaking during the war Im enjoying the tunnel most! Day 1: Seoul

Welcome to Korea! You will be transferred to your hotel via group transport and meet with your guide. In the afternoon, you will explore the city with your guide by taking the modern and efficient underground transportation to City Hall, where you will see the impressive building shaped like a tsunami. You will also visit Deoksugung Palace, which is lit up at night and showcases the country's blend of tradition and modernity. From there, you will walk to Myeongdong, the largest and busiest shopping area in Korea, which is also known as the "brilliant tunnel." Dinner will be included at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Seoul

Today, you will embark on a five-hour tour of Seoul. You will visit Changdeokgung Palace, a World Heritage Site with a group of palaces set inside a large park. Next, you will go to Bukchon Hanok Village, a traditional historical neighborhood with tiny houses. You will also visit the War Memorial, an impressive museum that tells the story of Korea's conflicts throughout history, including the Korean War. Then, you will head to the bustling Gangnam District, where you will find numerous shopping and leisure centers. Lastly, you will stop at LOTTE WORLD TOWER, a 550m building where you can climb to the top or explore the luxury shopping centers and park. Lunch will be included at a local restaurant, and the rest of the day will be free time.

Day 3: Seoul, Suwon, Jeonju

Today, you will visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, a 600-year-old palace where you will see the Changing of the Guard ceremony (if scheduled). Next, you will visit Suwon, a World Heritage Site and former capital of Korea famous for its walls Heritage of Mankind. Unfortunately, the Samsung Innovation Museum is currently closed due to the pandemic, but you will still see the impressive wall and visit Hwaseong Haenggung, the summer palace. Lunch will be included at a local restaurant. Lastly, you will visit Jeonju and its fascinating old town (Hanok Village), with tiny houses, traditional shops, and art galleries.

Day 4: Jeonju, Haeinsa, Daegu, Busan

Today, you will travel amidst impressive mountain forest scenery to Haeinsa, a Buddhist temple built in the year 802 where you will discover the Tripitaka, the most complete collection of Buddhist texts engraved on 80,000 blocks of wood. You will visit the temple and the museum on the Tripitaka. Next, you will go to Daegu and visit the market of traditional medicines with its different herbs, especially ginseng, and the Museum of Oriental Medicine. Lunch will be included. Finally, you will arrive in Busan, the second-largest city in Korea, where you will have time to explore the Doosan Haeundae complex with its more than 300m skyscraper and sports marina. Accommodation is provided.

Day 5: Busan, Seoul

Today, you will visit Haedong Yonggung, a 14th-century Buddhist temple located by the sea in Busan. Afterward, you will visit the memorial to the United Nations with its cemetery where people from numerous countries are buried. You will also visit the largest fish market in the country, which is alongside Nampo port, and then walk to Yongdusan park with its immense 120m pagoda. In the evening, you will take a modern high-speed train and return to Seoul in three hours. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 6: Seoul

After breakfast, your tour ends.

We won’t be talking about concerts here, but if you are planning to go to Seoul soon , or already are in the city, and are fans of BTS, this list will definitely peak your interest.

BTS left an impressive mark in the world’s music industry, and their discography is LONG.

It is impossible in this day and age not to have heard about them!

We tried to compile a list of the best places to visit in Seoul for any BTS fan, to have you walk in their footsteps, feel the hustle of Seoul, create memories for yourself and take memorable pictures to bring back home.

This list is not exhaustive and the group have certainly visited a lot more places, so be sure to let us know in the comments if we should add more, and tag us on Instagram with your own pictures!

Walk in BTS’s Footsteps

Let’s start with 3 iconic places to start your BTS Seoul Tour.

HYBE Entertainment Building

Big Hit Entertainment moved to its new headquarters in the district of Yongsan as it became HYBE Entertainment in March 2021.

HYBE is now the headquarters of multiple labels and spans across all 19 floors of the building.

It is not possible to enter the building and the chances are rare for you to meet your idols here, but it is a place to visit absolutely in your BTS Seoul Tour!

Old Big Hit Entertainment Studio

The Old Big Hit Entertainment Studio has now become a must-visit place for fans of BTS, as this is where it all began.

This building has seen a lot of blood, sweat and tears from the boys, but it produced the massively popular group we know today!

Although the place is not easy to find and will require you to put on your best pair of glasses, once you find it you’ll see how iconic this place still is for the fandom.

The walls are filled with written messages from ARMYs, and in a whole lot of languages. People travel far to see the place!

 BTS’ Trainee Days Restaurant – Yoojung Sikdang

Yoojung Sikdang is the best place to get the ‘pre-fame’ BTS feel.

The group would eat at this restaurant very regularly in their pre-debut days, and even mentioned it later in variety shows.

The restaurant is still open today, and is now filled with BTS merchandise. The group’s favourite dishes are still on the menu: Dolsot Bibimbap and Jeju Black Pork.

Shooting Locations in Seoul

This list will mix photoshoots and filming places. You might recognise a few!

Laundry Pizza

FROM | BTS Love Yourself: Her E, Version Photoshoot

We’re not the only one writing lists like this one, but the Laundry Pizza is ALWAYS included.

It is an iconic and highly photogenic place to visit, a great place to take your own pictures.

By the way, this is a real restaurant, and you can eat delicious pizzas there!

Dongjak Bridge

FROM | Love Yourself trilogy photo teaser with V.

Dongjak Bridge, or Dongjakdaegyo Bridge, must be the most popular bridge in Seoul as a lot of K-dramas were filmed there.

It crosses the Han river and includes a railway in addition to the road.

It is one of the busiest bridges as well, with large numbers of pedestrians using it, so you should probably plan to come early to take nice pictures.

Make sure to always pay attention to the vehicles coming and going, and stay safe.

Seoul Forest Woodland Playground

Unlike the gloomy tunnel in which Suga looks particularly sad and lonely, the area of the park the photoshoot was done is very lively with children running everywhere!

Seoul Forest is a place where people can ride bikes, walk around and bring their children to playgrounds.

Iryeong station [ 일영역 ]

FROM | Spring Day (MV) – Scenes with V

This abandoned train station became hugely popular overnight, after V shot a few scenes of Spring Day there.

You are allowed to visit the scene and take pictures, but even though the station has been discontinued, you should remain careful when crossing the rails.

Dongho Bridge

FROM | I Need You (MV) – Scenes with J-Hope

Here’s another bridge for you to visit!

Just like Dongjak Bridge above, Dongho also combines road and rails to cross the Han river.

As always, be careful of vehicles when taking pictures of the place.

Alright, this is a BTS Seoul Tour but we couldn’t resist and added 4 more shooting locations for you to see!

Yongin Daejanggeum Park

FROM | Daechwita [대취타], Suga’s solo video as Agust D.

You probably remember this MV as vividly as me, as the location chosen to film was just magnificent.

It is in fact the largest outdoor film set for historical dramas in South Korea, and has replicas of ancient buildings from the Samguk, Goryeo and Joseon periods.

The most recent K-dramas filmed in this location are:

• Haechi (2019)
• Extraordinary You (2019)
• Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung (2019)
• My Country (2019)
• Mr. Queen (2020)

The site has been open to the public since 2011, so you will be able to enter freely and take pictures yourself.

PS – You might also recognise the place from Stray Kids’s MV “ Double Knot (English ver.) “.

Jumunjin Beach Bus Stop

FROM | You Never Walk Alone – Album Cover

The bus stop featuring on the album cover was so popular after the album’s release that the city Gangneung in Gangwon Province decided to build a replica with the sole purpose of being a photo spot for BTS’ fans.

Bomun Tourist Complex

FROM | The most beautiful moment in life pt.1 – Photoshoot

Remember this beautiful photoshoot where the group poses under cherry blossom trees near to a lake?

Yep, it’s this one and you can visit this location too!

Bomun Tourist Complex is an immense area filled with leisure and tourist facilities such as shopping malls, golf resorts, palace gardens etc.

Camellia Hill

FROM | Love yourself trilogy – Photoshoot with Jin

Located on Jeju Island, Camellia Hill is a camellia arboretum created in 1979.

According to this website “The arboretum is home to 6,000 camellia trees of 500 different species including species that are known to produce the world’s largest and earliest blossoms.”

A beautiful photoshoot was made with Jin in this location.

BTS Seoul Tour | Places to Eat

We’ve seen BTS pre-debut restaurant earlier, but we’ve got more addresses for you to go check out.

Ossu Seiromushi [오쓰 세이로무시]

In 2018 Jin and his eldest brother opened a Japanese restaurant called Ossu Seiromushi .

They serve traditional Japanese dishes and quickly became a very popular place to dine in.

The restaurant is always full so you’ll need to make a reservation beforehand!

This cafe is in Busan but if you happen to be in the area you should go and take a look!

Magnate opened in 2019 and is owned by Jimin’s father.

You can drink a cup of coffee and eat delicious pastries, all whilst enjoying the elegant and minimalist interior of the place.

The Min’s [더민스]

The Min’s is owned by 2AM’s Lee Changmin and you probably already expected to see this one one the list, as it used to be BTS’s favourite cafe.

Unfortunately, the cafe permanently closed recently.

BTS Seoul Tour | More Places to Visit

These places are not filming or shooting locations but still have a link to our favourite group, and are all worth checking out.

Banpo Hangang Park 

Banpo Hangang Park  always has been a go-to place for Seoul locals, and for that reason was featured in “BTS’ Life in Seoul”.

“BTS’ Life in Seoul” is a short promotional video of Seoul featuring our boys, aimed at displaying everything you could do in Seoul.

You read correctly, RM has in fact two forests!

• Forest 1 was created by fans in celebration of RM’s 25th birthday.
• Forest 2 was created in celebration of his 26th birthday.

RM has always been an advocate for the preservation of our environment, so these gifts couldn’t have been more spot on.

This location is probably the least popular of the list, just because people don’t know it exists!

If you happen to be in Gwangju, you must visit the “hopeworld” sculpture the city revealed near the end of 2020.

The sculpture, a collaboration between the city of Gwangju and a K-pop Art School, was created in honour of J-Hope.

21,800 messages from fans all around the world were engraved on the sculpture, which is set in a very colourful area, making it a beautiful piece to visit.

More BTS & Even More K-pop

Hallyu k-star road.

Originally known as the “luxury road of Cheongdam”, the K-Star Road is visited by many Kpop fans all year long and we can easily understand why!

From  Apgujeong Rodeo Station towards Cheongdam intersection there is 1km to walk with GangnamDols everywhere and entertainment companies based in the neighbouring streets.

GangnamDols are sculptures of big bear dolls designed with Kpop groups branding.

There are 17 of them, gotta catch them all!

Star Avenue | LOTTE Duty Free

Star Avenue is a must visit for any fan of the Korean entertainment industry.

You may well have seen the group’s handprints everywhere on social media? Well it’s here in LOTTE Star Avenue!

Here’s a quote from their own website :

“LOTTE DUTY FREE will continue to serve as an ambassador of K-CULTURE which takes the lead in promoting Korean culture and revitalising the tourism industry.”

You got it, you’ll get to see LOTS of K-pop and K-drama related content whilst visiting this place!

It is a very touristy place so expect crowds all day.

HYBE Insight Museum in Seoul

Opened in May 2021, the HYBE Museum is full of exclusive content from HYBE’s artists and will allow you to experience music in a very unique and immersive way through technology.

Boasting various exhibitions you will get to see exclusive footage of rehearsals, dance practices but also reward walls and displays dedicated to HYBE’s history.

Make sure to book your ticket in advance online or you won’t be able to enter the facility.

BT21 LINE Friends Store

You wouldn’t leave Korea without a souvenir, would you?

There used to be a LINE Friends Store in Itaewon, but it closed early April 2019.

But don’t worry! There are two other addresses in Gangnam and Hongdae .

BT21 is a collaboration between BTS and LINE Friends, each member got to design their own character!

The 3rd floor is a cafe, so make sure you drink a BT21 coffee before you go!

Michael, our tour guide, was patient, friendly, and flexible with different age travelers and physical abilities by adjusting the activities for them. The Best of Korea tour's itinerary was very full. I think many of us enjoyed the itinerary and the experiences we had. I, particularly, enjoyed the various transportation methods which added to the experience. The War Memorial Hall of Korea museum is a big museum and had very important history. Most of us needed more time. I think this activity could of come at the beginning of the tour for us to have better knowledge of Korean history. On the tour's last day, after the museum, most of us thought there was going to be a group dinner. The tours I have been in the past had end of the tour dinner to say good bye and show our appreciation to the tour guide. It's nice to have a closure after spending a week together. We were disappointed that the day just ended after returning to the hotel. After the DMZ visit, we had a very nice lunch at a well known restaurant. This time could of have been a good opportunity to say good bye but I think due to limited time, food came out late, we didn't linger.

Soulful South Korea

The Soulful South Korea Tour was excellent. The tour guide Sam was excellent. He always provided background and information at all the sites we visited. This tour hits 4 out of the five provinces in S. Korea. I feel like we got see the majority of the country. There was a fair amount of walking but that helped balance all the wonderful food we ate. There were only 15 guests on our tour and that was a nice amount. Most of the travelers were from various states in America and one couple from Germany. Getting to know all the other travels was also a fun part of the trip. It was hard to say goodbye at the end as we felt like a family. Highly recommend this tour if you have never been to S. Korea.

ATEEZ’s 2024 World Tour Ticket Prices Shock Fans

After successfully making history as the first K-Pop boy group to perform at the Coachella music festival, ATEEZ announced their highly anticipated 2024 ATEEZ WORLD TOUR [TOWARDS THE LIGHT : WILL TO POWER] IN NORTH AMERICA, which will kick off on July 14 in Tacoma, WA.

ATINYs have discovered one trusted source through Gas South District ‘s website, as ATEEZ’s Atlanta date is on July 31 at Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA. If you click on the seating chart, you’ll see the arrangement as well as ticket prices for each section.

The prices range from $105.07 to $738.70 USD, without fees. The highest-priced ticket is for VIP 1. ATINYs were left shocked by the ticket prices and concerned about how much their total would be.

According to Gas South, VIP1 includes VIP Check-in and entry, first early access to the GA floor, sound check, send-off, limited edition gift, VIP laminate and lanyard, and early access to merchandise, while VIP2 includes nearly everything but send-off and early access to merchandise. The tickets include no Meet & Greet.

Naturally, ATINYs are disappointed by the news. The tickets have only increased in price since previous tours. Yet, now the VIP tickets have even fewer benefits.

ATINYs are reminiscing over ATEEZ North American tours of the past. VIP tickets were over half the cost of this year’s. Some paid just over $100 USD for VIP, including interactions with members, which is now the price of the cheapest, most basic concert ticket.

ATINYs also can’t help but compare the North American ticket prices to ATEEZ’s for other locations, such as South Korea. Yet, knowing how much it costs to travel besides the increase in Visa fees , it shouldn’t be a surprise that the North American tour costs as much as it does.

OnlyOneOf add new dates to 2024 ‘Things I Can’t Say LOve’ world tour

Featuring new shows in Asia and Australia

K-pop boyband OnlyOneOf have announced more dates and concerts for their ongoing ‘Things I Can’t Say LOve’ world tour in 2024.

Today, (April 26), OnlyOneOf revealed the cities and date for their long-awaited Asia and Australia legs of their 2024 world tour. It comes after the K-pop boyband announced the Japan, America and Europe legs of the tour over the past few months.

In July 2024, OnlyOneOf will hold concerts in eight Asian cities, which include Taipei, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore and more. Following these shows, the K-pop boyband will head to Australia for two shows, one each in the cities of Sydney and Melbourne.

Meanwhile, the US leg of the tour is currently ongoing and will run into early-May. On the other hand, the Europe leg of OnlyOneOf’s tour will take place during June 2024, with tickets on sale now via the official Jin Entertainment website .

Venue and ticketing information for the Asia and Australia legs of OnlyOneOf’s 2024 ‘Things I Can’t Say LOve’ world tour have yet to be announced. Keep tabs on this page for the latest updates.

2024 Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 40: BTS Jimin, Blackpink & More K-Pop Stars in Top 10

Forbes Korea has published its 2024 Power Celebrity 40 list, which features multiple K-pop celebrities, including BTS Jimin and Jungkook. In 2023, South Korean juggernaut BTS topped the list, and Blackpink stood in third place. K-drama heartthrobs Song Joong Ki and Son Suk Ku ranked fourth and seventh, respectively.

Forbes Korea ‘s Power Celebrity 40 list started in 2009. Every year, the magazine picks the 40 most influential celebrities in the sports and entertainment sector based on their accolades, achievements in respective fields, media exposure, social media popularity, and TV appearances.

BTS Jungkook, Newjeans and more stars listed in 2024 Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 40

Blackpink has taken over BTS ‘ top spot in the Forbes Korea Celebrity 40 list. The YG Entertainment’s Billboard 200-charting girl group ranked first in the Forbes Korea Celebrity list. The magazine mentioned Blackpink’s historic achievement with their first full-length 2020 album, ‘THE ALBUM.’ Their first album sold over 1,209,543 copies within days of release, making them the first Korean girl group to achieve million-seller status.

Following Blackpink, NewJeans ranked third in the list. ADOR’s rookie girl group debuted in 2022 but instantly became a K-pop sensation, achieving multiple records and awards. Forbes Korea noted Min Hee Jin’s girl group’s Billboard recognition. Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein of NewJeans received the Group Of The Year trophy at the 2024 Billboard Women In Music Awards.

Among K-pop solo stars, BTS Jimin and Jungkook ranked 7th and 9th in the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list. Forbes mentioned Jungkook ‘s top-selling album, Golden’s debut record on Spotify. His first solo album became the first album in K-pop solo history to receive over 39,653,740 filtered streams.

IVE came in at number 10th in the Forbes Korea list. Even without debuting from one of the big K-pop houses like HYBE or YG, IVE has achieved considerable popularity since its debut in 2021. Within a year of its debut, IVE snagged its first daesang  (grand prize) award at the 2022 Melon Music Awards.

Along with the top 10 celebrities, K-pop stars Cha Eunwoo , Yoona, IU , and K-drama stars Son Suk Ku, Lee Seung-gi, and Park Eunbin were also mentioned in the top 40 list.
