I am the ultimate planner and took a chance with delegating this trip to MY VIP TOUR.. and I am so grateful I did. Our group of 8 included 4 children under 5 and 2 pregnant women. Danielle was great from the start navigating my particulars and getting all of our reservations booked.. including lunch at Cinderella's castle! Then, she passed us on to our guide Christina. From the moment we met Christina (30 minutes late), I am sure she knew she had her work cut out for her.. corralling all 8 of us and keeping us moving forward with all sorts of requests that can setback the day. Before if get into the particulars.. I never had to pull up my phone to check wait times or choose a restaurant.. I was truly able to enjoy my time with my family. And more importantly, it took the pressure of me having to manage everyone.. which can easily lead to tension. The Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom highlights - we rarely, if ever waited in a line. She knew all the secrets to navigate us around the long wait times (especially challenge since there are no fast passes at Disney. When the kids blew up because they wanted balloons, she put us on Jungle Cruise sprinted across the park and tracked down the exact balloons they wanted.. and met us at the exit with balloons for them. When the group needed coffee, she did the same thing with Starbucks.. when I saw the Starbucks lines.. that could easily derail the day. Universal Studios - I was hesitant to get a VIP guide for Universal, but I'm so thankful we did. Even the fast pass lines were long.. and we NEVER waited in a line. We rode Hagrids and the Forbidden Journey rides back to back in 20 minutes.. no wait on either. Hagrids was a 2 hour wait and Forbidden Journey was 70 minutes at the time! She got the whole group right on the Hogwarts train.. 2 of which did not have fast passes. She watched the kids while all the adults went on a ride and got us queued up for the next one.. By the end of the trip we all trusted her like family and are trying to figure out how we can take her on every trip with us! Do yourself a favor and book Christina and MY VIP TOUR. It will enhance the experience, allow you to have more fun AND save your marriage!!

My experience with My VIP Tour has been amazing from A to Z. Let me start by saying this is not our first time using their service and most certainly will not be our last. We booked a last minute getaway for our son's Birthday weekend and had our friends and their two children join us. I immediately contacted My VIP Tour who set us up with guides and a schedule to suit our requests. As soon as we checked in to our hotel, My VIP Tour had tricks up their sleeves for him. He was in awe the entire weekend! Our first day was spent in Magic Kingdom with Monica and she certainly did not disappoint. She attended to everyones request. Believe me, there were plenty. From early morning Starbucks pick ups to kids whining and myself wanting to go on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 3 times (lol) - she accommodated every SINGLE request and pulled tricks out of a hat to make EVERYBODY happy!!! Her personality was amazing. She is super fun, always smiling and so good with kids. It was so sad when we had to say goodbye knowing the next day she was going to be with another family and not us! The next day, we were assigned Jake at Hollywood Studios! Well, what can I say?? Jake did NOT disappoint!! He certainly lived up to the challenge. He knew this park inside and out. Our kids were so tired that they wanted to be in strollers (and they are not little) - Jake took them around for rides that were EPIC! The kids had a blast There came a time when I think the kids wanted to go on rides just with Jake and not with us anymore. lol Jake, too, had some tricks up his sleeves and introduced the kid to some new hobbies (which I do not want to give away......for everyone reading this review).... needless to say, the kids have continued on with this hobby now that we are home and talk about Jake all the time and tell everyone how Jake introduced them to this hobby... I cannot thank My VIP Tour, Monica, Jake, Jordan, Kerry, Katie and the entire staff for making my son's Birthday weekend ever so special! xoxo

This is the only way to do Disney's parks! My son and I travelled to Orlando for his 10th birthday. Our tour guide, Cori, knew every detail on avoiding lines-we never waited more than 10 minutes. She was high energy and did a great job of getting us to 3 Disney Parks in 1 day. We were able to enjoy the parks without trying to navigate and make plans to get the most out of our park experience. All we had to do was show up and have fun. We rode Avatar twice and the lines were insane but not for us. I highly recommend My VIP Tour for your Orlando theme park trips.

What a fantastic way to experience DISNEY. I was pretty shocked how easy the process was to begin and confirm the dates that I wanted. Everything was so easy . The tours were well organized and there was no need to make different arrangements as all 3 night were just organized perfectly. Disneyland was fabulous and the crew at MY VIP TOUR hit it out of the park. Highly recommend checking them out and ask your questions.

You are probably reading this because you hate stress and wasting time. If so, no need to read the rest of the review and just hire My VIP Tour already! Here is why they are awesome: 1) They have a team that helps with your trip planning. So shortly after I engaged them, Danielle sent me a list of questions and park/ride descriptions to better understand what our family was interested in and more importantly, NOT interested in. They also helped with dinner reservations, transport, and other concierge-type details. Once we bought tickets, they also went ahead to grab Fast Passes based on what we wanted to ride. It may seem straightforward, but it wasn't until we were at the park where I understood the genius of their Fast Pass selections - it wouldn't have necessarily been the Fast Passes I would have chosen on my own. Instead, it's based on their deep knowledge of what rides you really need FPs for and which you can get on without. 2) A week or so before we arrived, we were assigned a guide, Kelly (who is beyond amazing btw). Kelly further refined our itinerary and confirmed a few things (like Starbucks orders, see #3 below). 3) At the park - note that you will have to get up super early. Coming from the west coast it's a brutal wake up call but trust me, it is worth it. Thankfully, Kelly had coffee/pastries waiting for us in the lobby and off we went! By noon, we had gone on all the rides we wanted and didn't wait more than 10 minutes. This was true for all 3 parks OVER CHRISTMAS BREAK. Let me repeat that - we went during the busiest time of year and DIDN'T WAIT MORE THAN 10 MINUTES FOR ANY OF OUR RIDES. Kelly also had colleagues in the park who help us get snacks and drinks while we were on rides. Also, they staked out perfect spots for your group to view the parade and other shows. How is this possible?!?! MyVIPTour runs a tight ship and have the parks dialed in - they are in tune with the ebbs and flows and know the "hacks" to optimize your time. Our group was 8 people, including my 70+yr old parents. Everyone had an awesome time because we got all our rides in by lunch, then can either go back to hotel to chill out and return at night, or can stay and meander ourselves. It is no stress and I cannot imagine doing a theme park any other way. Is it worth the money? Well, if you place high value on your own time and stress, there are few things that return as much value as hiring MyVIPTour.

I was referred to My VIP Tour a friend who has used the company on multiple trips. He claimed it would change the way you experience Disney, and he couldn't have been more right! I had been to Disney a few times previous, but never really knew how to navigate properly and always seemed to go home with an incomplete experience. The team at My VIP Tour made the day unforgettable and took all stress out of our visit. Everyone in the company was easy to work with and very responsive as we planned the trip and our itinerary. They took to the time to understand our family and what we were trying to get out of our park visits. It was great not needing to worry about park tickets, fast passes, dining reservations, etc. We spent the day with Cori in the Magic Kingdom. She was absolutely fantastic with our kids (ages 5 and 8), took lots of pictures, provided descriptions of the rides to an apprehensive 5 year old, and always had us at the right place at the right time. We covered the entire park in 8 hours and got to experience everything on our "wish list". Next time we are back, we will be requesting her again. I would recommend this service to all; it's worth every penny and allows you to truly enjoy your day and your time with your family.

We just returned from our trip from Disney after using My VIP Tour and our guide Cori. To say it bluntly, we wanted to take Cori home with us. She was simply amazing! From meeting us in the mornings at our hotel to guiding us through the entire day. We initially booked Cori for 2 days. Before our arrival we added a third day and during our first day added a fourth day. We could not have accomplished as much as we did without the help and expertise of Cori. She knew the parks, the shortcuts, the meet and greets literally like the back of her hand! Hands down, I highly recommend the services of Katie, My VIP Tour and strongly urge you to request Cori!

My family was just reminiscing about our amazing trip to Disney in 2018. My VIP Tours is worth every penny. I can not put into words what a truly amazing experience our four day tour with Christina and Megan was. This was our first visit to Disney, and every one of the 11 in our group (ranging in age from 5 - 70) left saying it was the best vacation we have ever had. Christina's flexible approach combined with her deep knowledge of the parks had us on every ride we wanted, and all the ones we didn't know we wanted with little to no wait! Christina and Megan moved us through the parks and adjusted our plan seamlessly based on the need for snacks, bathroom breaks, tired feet and broken rides. This is no small task with a group of 11, and I know we would not have had such an amazing experience if we were on our own. They truly treated us like VIPs...if someone needed coffee while waiting on line it was there, we had great seats to shows, we knew where to sit on rides for the best experience, there was always transportation to bring us to and from the parks, and we never had to think about what was next or how to get there. I never thought a trip to Disney would feel like a relaxing vacation, but it did! Not only were Christina and Megan excellent guides they were kind, thoughtful and full of energy. They treated us like family, and have been welcomed into ours. If you are considering a guide, My VIP Tours is the way to go. Trust their expertise and get ready for a trip of a lifetime.

I will hire this company every time I go to Disney for now on. Our guide, Roberta, was the difference between what could have been a stressful day to what was a wonderful experience. We did Disney on a warm crowded day with no lines. I repeat, NO LINES! Roberta's quick thinking and familiarity with the park made our day flawless. In fact, my 18 month old was still smiling at 8PM when we loaded her into the car and my 5 year old wanted to marry Miss Roberta. It was that good. I would highly recommend doing Disney this way!!

Our experience with My VIP Tour was beyond compare. Katie and her staff made our 4 day trip to Disney one that we will never forget, and we would never have begun to accomplish so much without Sam's onsite expertise and smiling face. My 10 year old son and 7 year old daughter had the time of their lives over the Christmas holidays when the parks are very crowded. Magic wands appeared and wait times disappeared! Advance planning and quick thinking on Katie and Sam's part made the Orlando trip an absolute joy. We will be back to do Universal soon. A million thanks to you!

What is the VIP Experience?

No matter which VIP Tour you choose, there are a few key benefits that you’re guaranteed to enjoy. The first, as you might have guessed, is a VIP tour guide to escort you on a group tour through Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, or both. These guides are experts on all things Universal Orlando, so even if you think you know everything there is to know about the parks, you’re sure to be blown away by the fun facts and insider knowledge they share with you.

All VIP Tours also offer priority front-of-the-line access to all rides and attractions, including the ever-elusive Pteranadon Flyers and all of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter . (Yes, that means you’ll get to ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure with no line, virtual or otherwise!) Other benefits of VIP Tours include:

• Exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences (photography not permitted)
• Complimentary Valet parking
• Reserved seating at shows (excluding the seasonal Mardi Gras and Mannheim Steamroller concerts)
• Complimentary continental breakfast and lunch
• Unlimited Express Pass access throughout the rest of the day following your tour
• Exclusive VIP lanyard and credentials
• Discounts at select Universal merchandise locations throughout the resort

How many VIP Tour options are there?

Before you get to reap all those VIP rewards, you’ll have to first choose which experience is right for you. We’ve broken down all the options below:

1-Day, 1-Park Experience

A 1-Day, 1-Park VIP Tour lasts for five hours and includes priority entrance into a minimum of eight major attractions at either Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure (you get to choose the park, though your tour guide sets the itinerary). And while you will receive all of the benefits listed above, keep in mind that you’ll only enjoy a free continental breakfast if your tour begins at or before 11:00 am. Generally, though, the 1-Day, 1-Park Experience kicks off at 9:30 am, so your chances of enjoying that meal are high!

1-Day, 2-Park Experience

A 1-Day, 2-Park VIP Tour lasts for seven hours and includes priority entrance into a minimum of 10 attractions at both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Besides the additional park and tour length, the main difference between a 1-Day, 2-Park Experience and its singular-park counterpart is that this version includes lunch at a full-service restaurant. You can expect this tour to (usually) begin at 9:30, 10:30, or 11:30 in the morning.

Private VIP Experience

If you’d rather travel with just your own party, rather than in a group with other individuals, you can opt for the exclusive VIP treatment with this experience (which lasts for the whole day!). Besides receiving the undivided attention of your tour guide, the main draw of this option is the chance to create your own itinerary (for the non-private VIP Tours, your guide lays out the agenda for you). You’ll also enjoy three full-service meals, including dinner, at one of Universal Orlando’s restaurants and receive a three-day My Universal Photos package.

There are a few options if you’re in the market for a Private VIP Experience, including the only two-day tour available:

How much does a VIP Experience cost?

As you might have guessed, the price of your VIP experience will vary drastically depending upon which tack you take. The one consistent here, though, is that all ticket prices are the same regardless of age – that means your two-year-old will have to pay just as much as you do to enjoy all that exclusive access!

Remember: in addition to the cost of a VIP Tour, separate theme-park admission is required. Furthermore, guests that are under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

VIP Experience at Universal Orlando – frequently asked questions

Do i need to buy a vip experience ticket in advance.

No, you don’t need to, but we strongly recommend it, as quantities are limited, and – you never know – Universal may sell out the morning of your arrival. Just as with Halloween Horror Nights , our motto is it’s better to play it safe and order in advance than be disappointed the day of!

Do I get to choose my itinerary for a VIP Experience?

That depends on which VIP Tour you go with. For the Non-Private 1-Day, 1-Park or 1-Day, 2-Park experiences, you’ll be touring with other traveling parties, so in the spirit of fairness, the day’s agenda will be determined by your tour guide. If you’d rather make the plans yourself, you’ll need to purchase a Private VIP Experience.

Is a VIP Experience worth it?

It depends on what you’re looking to get out of it. If you’ll only be in Orlando for a few days and want to make the most of your time at Universal Orlando Resort, a VIP Tour is a great way to do so. The priority front-of-the-line access can’t be beaten, along with the exclusive backstage experiences and insider tips from the VIP guides. Orlando boasts some of the best family resorts in the country. They offer wonderful amenities for families to enjoy — waterslides, lazy rivers, children's clubs, and family-friendly restaurants. Staying on Disney Property

Some families insist on staying at a Disney property for a full immersion on the Mickey experience. There are several deluxe resorts with easy access to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. Many resorts offer character meals or fireworks views like the Grand Floridian which even has Cinderella dance in the lobby. Or you could choose the Animal Kingdom Lodge and awaken to giraffes on the savanna seen from your balcony.

Orlando's Luxury Resorts

The Four Seasons is the only true 5-star resort in Central Florida, and guests receive the most important Disney resort benefits such as the 60-day Fast Pass booking window and Early Magic Hours. My family is spending $3,000 on Halloween Horror Nights this year. As Florida locals, we know it's the best theme-park event of the year.

• My family attends Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights several times a year.
• This year, we're going to spend over $3,000 on tickets, food, and merch.
• No matter how much it costs, I think HHN is the best Halloween event in Central Florida.

As a journalist who covers theme parks and lives in Central Florida , I often joke that the spooky season is my Super Bowl.

From family-friendly Halloween parties at Disney World to jump-scare-filled haunted houses at SeaWorld, my family starts making its seasonal rounds in late August. But there's one event that stands above the rest: Halloween Horror Nights , or HHN, at Universal Studios Florida.

This year alone, my family will spend over $3,000 attending the scary but fun event — and that's not even the most we've spent in a single season.

Here's why we invest so much in HHN and why I think it's the best theme-park Halloween event.

HHN runs for nine weeks throughout the Halloween season.

The 2024 Halloween Horror Nights season is Universal Orlando's longest yet, running on select nights from August 30 through November 3.

The nine-week run leaves plenty of time to experience the spooky event, so my family knew going into the season we wanted to be there as many nights as possible — regardless of the expense.

We've already visited HHN twice this year and plan to attend a few more times in October.

Tickets range depending on the night you visit but average around $100 each. Since HHN takes place from around 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., you need a separate admission ticket if you're also going to the theme park that day.

The event isn't suitable for all ages.

Universal recommends that kids wait to attend HHN until they're 13. There's blood, gore, jump scares, and more, so it may not be the best spot for little kids, especially ones who are sensitive to scary or chaotic scenes.

My kids both waited until they were 13 to experience HHN. My 16-year-old son loves going each year, but my 14-year-old daughter decided it was a bit too scary for her.

If you're looking for something significantly less frightening, there's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney World.

One of the reasons we have annual passes is to get a free event ticket each season.

I've often touted the benefits of being an annual-pass holder at Universal , from the affordable price (compared to Disney) to the significant discounts on food and merchandise. But my favorite benefit is probably that pass holders receive a free ticket to HHN on select nights each season.

We still have to purchase additional tickets once our pass-holder night has been used up, but the savings are helpful when you're planning to visit several times during the season.

There are 10 haunted houses to explore this year.

HHN has 10 haunted houses. This year, the houses range from one based on the "Quiet Place" film franchise to Slaughter Sinema 2, a campy original haunted house that lets guests walk through funny-but-imaginary B-list horror films.

Lines for the haunted houses can get long, so we've learned it's worthwhile to purchase an express pass for the night. The add-on costs about $150 a person and offers one chance at a shorter line at each house.

There's also a higher-tiered express pass that offers unlimited line-skipping, but we've found that getting through each house in one night takes up plenty of time.

The scare zones provide even more thrills.

There are also five scare zones in the park. This year, they're themed around concepts like a zombie-filled swap and the Blumhouse library of horror films .

A Halloween-themed show runs a few times throughout the night if you're looking for even more entertainment.

My family’s biggest HHN expense is always a VIP tour.

There are private and public RIP tours (a spooky play on VIP) at HHN, and my family always likes to do at least one.

This year, my son and I did a public RIP tour for about $400 a person. We were paired with other guests and led through the park by a guide who shared HHN knowledge. Plus, it included a buffet-style dinner.

More importantly, the guide also took us straight to the front of the lines at the haunted houses .

Last year, we spent about $4,000 on a private RIP tour with my friend group, which was lots of fun. But if you don't mind hanging out with strangers, the public version is more affordable and comes with the same perks.

We always splurge on the exclusive themed food and beverages.

From $9 corn-and-shrimp chowder to a $14 walking taco, we love trying all the seasonal food items available exclusively at the after-hours event.

Kiosks throughout the park sell treats themed around each of the haunted houses. This year, there's a "Ghostbusters"-themed Stay Puft Marshmallow Man s'more and a red pastry samosa that looks like the infamous red door in the "Insidious" film franchise .

We could spend an entire night walking through the scare zones and trying the food.

We’re also suckers for each year’s HHN merchandise.

Each year, fans of HHN await the release of the seasonal merchandise.

So far, we've already bought T-shirts with all the haunted houses on the back ($33 each) and cozy hoodies with some of the scary characters from this year's event ($60 each).

It's a good thing annual passholders get a 10% to 15% merchandise discount because we have a long list of things we plan to purchase this season.

Staying at a Universal hotel is a must for us.

We live about 90 minutes from Universal and often stay in a hotel on the property , so we don't have to drive home late at night.

Staying on the property is the perfect way to extend the creepy vibes. All the Universal hotels decorate their lobbies for HHN, plus there are photo ops and themed bars with limited-edition drinks.

Perhaps more importantly, the hotels provide easy access to buses and water taxis to the theme parks. It's a big perk when you're exhausted at the end of a good night at the event.

Between pass-holder and Florida-resident deals, I've snagged rooms for between $100 and $200 a night.

If you can only go to one theme-park Halloween event, make it HHN.

Provided everyone in your travel party is old (and brave) enough, Halloween Horror Nights is, in my opinion, the premier Halloween event in Florida.

I recommend it to all of my friends and have gotten many of them hooked on visiting every single year.

Like anything at a theme park, a night at HHN can be expensive. One private RIP tour last year cost more than our entire HHN budget for this year.

We tend to go all out, but you could easily tailor the event to your budget. It's completely possible to go in with just a $100 ticket and have a wonderfully scary time.
