America’s new 4-cylinder motorcycle makes harley-davidsons seem tasteless, the all-electric 2024 dodge charger daytona starts at just under $60,000.

It seems as though the entire Fiat->ke30 ownership umbrella is undergoing significant lineup changes in the upcoming years and this includes the entire Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep->ke40 lineups. One rather odd model that we just received confirmation on is the Dodge Journey SRT6. The only car that could have been more awkward of an addition to the SRT lineup would have been if Dodge slapped an SRT badge on the now discontinued Caliber->ke244 … Oh wait, they tried that .

Regardless of its awkwardness, seeing that “6” on the end of “SRT” is rather intriguing, as that definitely indicates some serious muscle is on the way. The Journey->ke2848 R/T, the likely donor car for the SRT6 model, has a powerful-as-is 3.6-liter V-6 engine that cranks out 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and pumping more power from that Pentastar is pretty eyebrow raising.

Given the fact that most STR4 and SRT6 models include either a supercharger or a turbocharger, we would expect this Pentastar V-6 engine to crank out upwards of 370 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque with a turbo or 330 horsepower and 325 pound-feet with a supercharger. Regardless of the configuration, this will make this crossover SUV, which looks more like a minivan than an SUV, a real screamer.

We also anticipate the SRT6 model to come standard with all-wheel drive, as anything less than that would be a true disservice to Dodge’s customer base. On top of all of the performance enhancements, expect SRT to inject some appearance items. The likely additions will include 20-inch rims, ground effects, a custom interior, and a lower stance.

While there is no anticipated release date yet, we expect to see the SRT6 as a mid-2013 model or an early 2014 model. We will continue to keep you updated as more details come out, but on the surface, this looks like one crossover not to be messed with. Our hats go off to the Fiat leadership for thinking outside the box, now we just have to see if people actually buy it.

2.4L to 5.7L Hemi Journey

Currently driving a 2017 Journey SE w/ 2.4L & 4Spd Auto transmission.

This thing is slower than the Great Molasses Flood of 1919

I still have about 3 years of payments before I own her outright and can make MAJOR modifications, so my thought process is this!

Over the course of the next few years.

Buy a 5.7L Block and build it out with aftermarket internals have my friends shop do the final inspections, tuning etc

Once engine is complete find & buy a former police/FHP Charger or Durango w/ AWD setup, I know of an agency in Georgia that I've worked with in the past that usually retires their older patrol vehicles every 3-4 years

• Last year alone they had 5 retired Chargers and a Durango on their back lot for sale and auction.
• 3 v6 RWD & 2 v8 AWD (last vehicle was totaled but also v6 RWD)

With the Engine built, transmission, drivetrain, wiring harness, and ECM/ECU from the Police Vehicle.

I'll need custom fabricated mounts, a buddy of mine does LS swaps regularly for customers through his shop in Tampa so this should be relatively simple for him

I'll need suspension upgrade due to the new heavier load.

I already have larger wheels & tires on the vehicle

• 18x8 wrangler wheels
• Lionhart 255/55R18XL

I know I'm likely forgetting things, share your thoughts feedback etc.

SURE I'll offer something you've  "forgotten"(or failed to mention). 

When going from what you have to a motor that will have to be inline and not transverse mounted, the steering gear and mountings will undoubtedly need a lot of attention/changes.
