Call them pop-punk, post-hardcore, or alternative rock, but lead singer and founder Gerard Way would rather you never call them “emo.”

My Chemical Romance is arguably one of the most influential bands of the early 2000s, garnering a gigantic loyal fanbase over the years who do everything from following their tours to supporting their causes in public demonstrations.

When the native New Jersey band disbanded back in 2013, followers believed it was the end of an era, but that proved untrue with a powerhouse reunion in 2019. And now, the long wait for more dates is over as Way, along with his brother Mikey and bandmates Ray Toro and Frank Iero are back with a vengeance.

My Chemical Romance started as the brainchild of lead singer Gerard Way. In the aftermath of the 9/11 attack, the vocalist was inspired to write about the event and start a band with guitarist Toro, his brother Mikey on bass, Iero on rhythm guitar, and original drummer Matt Pelissier.

My Chemical Romance released its first album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, in 2002. While it wasn’t a major hit, it used the music to cultivate a fan base following via MySpace. These efforts plus solid touring performances led the band to sign with Reprise Records in 2003.

In 2004, MCR’s second studio album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, climbed to a respectable position on the Billboard charts, peaking at #28, and went platinum within the year. Pelissier departed soon after the record’s release, so Bob Bryar took over behind the drum kit.

Over the next two years, My Chemical Romance opened for bands like Green Day on the American Idiot Tour and Fall Out Boy on the Warped Tour. With a robust following, the band was ready to amp things up.

In 2007, the band released its magnum opus concept album, The Black Parade. This rock opera centers around a central character dying of cancer. The band staged powerful events like a hosting live gig using a pseudonym that almost resulted in the audience revolting and a releasing faux parade of black-robed marchers.

Not only did The Black Parade solidify My Chemical Romance’s burgeoning cult following, it was a huge commercial success. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard charts and went on to go triple platinum in both the US and UK.

Mistreated and misunderstood by some media outlets, Gerard Way and his band had to overcome controversies generated by misinterpretation of MCR’s lyrics. After releasing their fourth album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, in 2010, the band would release a series of singles over the next two years compiled as the Conventional Weapons album.

Then, almost without warning, My Chemical Romance amicably broke up. But by 2019, a surprise show in LA signaled a reunion tour. COVID-19 postponed it in 2020, but now the boys are back and ready to take the world by storm.

Live reviews

My Chemical Romance, may their music never stop you! After their glorious years of being a band, they never have put on a bad show. With others envious of their success, their rocky vibe still manages to say everything in their lyrics.

As only a start-out band in the early 00's, they have blasted their way through all the others, just by their unique and heartfelt music. They are not just a talented, creative and inspiring foursome, but they all put their all into their spectacular performances on stage, whether it be small cramped venues, or huge overpacked arenas. My Chemical Romance are definitely the band everyone's heard of and alot of upcoming bands look up to. They jam pack their performances with energy, emotion and true passion. As popular songs such as the heart aching 'Helena' to the powerful 'Famous Last Words', there is always an element of surprise that this band will put into their set. Frontman 'Gerard Way' sure can get the crowd on their feet and having the best night of their life. However, as they are no longer a group they will certainly be an inspiration to many. My Chemical Romance is done, but it can never die.

Concerts are usually full of talent and fun. From my experience they have been amazing and a night you'll always remember. But after seeing My Chemical Romance, I finally realised how mind-blowing and inspiring festivals can really be. From the music to the laser show, the big screens to the loud speakers, everything was perfect.

MCR have always been true performers they either perform epically or not at all. And trust me they really knew how to entertain. I have always turned to music as a way out of reality, a tool used to set me free and it felt like they knew how to make me forget about the struggles and just have an amazing time. I was in complete awe, just watching my idols perform and seeing how powerful their words and music could be. They owned the stage. They owned the crowd.

I won't ever forget Gerad Way's hilarious dance moves to 'I Don't Love You' or when 'Frank Iero' guitar string came off mid song. I have some great memories due to that concert and I'm sure no matter how many other performers I see or concerts I attend, nothing will compare to the perfection of MCR.

My Chemical Romance is a classic punk band. My obsession started when I was 11. I loved the Black Parade and everything the band stood for. Their music never fails to amaze me. The lyrics helped me through some tough years and it breaks my heart that they broke up. I'm pretty sure that no matter your walk of life, MCR knew how to touch you.

Wow.. yeah. MCR was my favorite in early high school, seeing them after the craze was a great experience. Gerard still holds up with his great stage proformances and boy oh boy is Frank hot. Got to hear some of my favorite ever songs live and will forever remember this concert.

My Chemical Romance announce 2021 tour dates

After My Chemical Romance were forced to shelve their 2020 touring plans, Gerard Way and co. announce run of 2021 shows

My Chemical Romance press shot

My Chemical Romance have revealed dates of their 2021 North American tour.

Like the majority of artists, the band were forced to shelve their 2020 plans due to the coronavirus pandemic – but now they’ve revealed a list of 21 dates, which will kick off at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center on September 8, 2021, and wrap up with four nights at The Forum in Los Angeles between October 11-17 next year.

MCR say in a statement to fans: “As a band, we are deeply aware of the profound problems and crucial issues the world is facing right now.

“These issues are all life-changing, and we have them in the forefront of our minds on a regular basis. All of our focus should be on making the world better in every way we can.

“We would never want to distract from the challenges we are facing right now, but we feel it is the right thing to let people know that we have rescheduled our shows, so that we can offer people a refund on tickets in these difficult financial times.

“All tickets will be honoured for the new dates. If you are unable to attend, refunds are available at your point of purchase.”

My Chemical Romance add: “It’s a long time away, and there is so much for all of us to do to make the world a better place in the interim. We cannot wait to play for you. Take care of each other and yourselves. We will see you soon.”

My Chemical Romance reschedule UK headline dates

The band will now take to Milton Keynes in June 2021.

Find tickets here

My Chemical Romance have rescheduled their trio of dates at Milton Keynes’ Stadium MK. Originally scheduled to take place this summer, the band will now make their return to the UK in June 2021.

The dates will see Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Mikey Way and Frank Iero return to the UK stage, having played their first comeback show in Los Angeles last year.

Original tickets remain valid by day of the week. Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will be contacted by our Customer Services team with more information.

My Chemical Romance’s 2020 UK tour dates

17 June 2021 – Stadium MK, Milton Keynes (rescheduled from 18 June 2020) 19 June 2021 – Stadium MK, Milton Keynes (rescheduled from 20 June 2020) 20 June 2021 – Stadium MK, Milton Keynes (rescheduled from 21 June 2020)

New Jersey formed rockers My Chemical Romance first burst onto the scene with their debut album  I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love  in 2002, growing a strong grassroots fanbase by simultaneously playing local shows and promoting their music on Myspace.

However, it would be the band’s sophomore album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge that took their career to stratospheric new heights. Featuring the crossover singles I’m Not Okay (I Promise) and Helena , the LP, alongside tours with bands such as Fall Out Boy and Green Day, helped transform the group from emo underdogs to fully-fledged arena rockers.

MCR followed the record with their highly ambitious 2006 rock opera, The Black Parade.  Their most commercially successful album to date, the album debuted at No.2 on both sides of the Atlantic and spawned the hit singles Teenagers , Famous Last Words and Welcome To The Black Parade , with the latter topping the Official UK Singles Chart.

The subsequent Welcome To The Black Parade tour saw the band headline stadiums across the globe, including London’s Wembley Stadium.

My Chemical Romance followed up The Black Parade  in 2010 with the album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, and after a few more years of touring announced their split in 2013.

Unknown to the public at the time, the band quietly reunited in 2017 and last Halloween sent fans into a frenzy by updating their social media channels, fuelling speculation that a reunion announcement was imminent.

The band confirmed their return the following day by announcing a show at The Shrine, Los Angeles, taking place on Friday 20 December of last year. Tickets went on sale later that day and sold out instantly.

Original tickets to see My Chemical Romance live in Milton Keynes remain valid, with any additional tickets available through Ticketmaster.co.uk. Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will be contacted by our Customer Services team with more information.

My Chemical Romance’s world tour brought joy and catharsis to fans in 2022

This year the rock world has belonged to emo legends my chemical romance. their postponed world tour has delighted three generations of fans across the globe. jamie macmillan went to the milton keynes shows for this photo series to capture why their return meant more than just nostalgia.

By Emma Garland

my chemical romance tour london

When My Chemical Romance announced their reformation on Halloween 2019, they didn’t know that they would be re-entering the world to find it transformed. In the time that has passed, Covid-19 has completely upended life, and set even the most mundane day-to-day routine against a backdrop of pervading loss. For the band’s part, their plans were put on indefinite hold. The hearts and hopes of teens and elder emos alike remained locked in March 2013, seemingly doomed to obsess over the same old interviews and four studio albums for eternity. Now: release.

My Chemical Romance performing in Milton Keynes

After a two-year delay, the My Chemical Romance reunion tour is blazing across the world fuelled by a combination of pent-up nostalgia and the fresh traumas of the pandemic. Everywhere you look at the Milton Keynes shows, there is familiarity rebooted. People in ties and too much eyeshadow are descending on unassuming English grounds. TikTok is flooded with viral clips of Gerard Way’s stage banter, among them: repeated growling of the word “RRRRATS”, pointing and shouting “Look at that  young boy  going to the  parade !” at a cardboard cut-out of himself held aloft in the crowd, and tales of how he shit his pants after having dairy for breakfast. Fans are obsessing over Setlist.fm like it’s a religious text. The merch run features a T-shirt emblazoned with the image of a gay porn star with a My Chemical Romance tramp stamp, which has prompted fervent discussion around the possibility that one of the band members might be LGBTQ+. The prodigal sons of mainstream emo have returned, and everything is in its rightful place.

My Chemical Romance fans watch the band performing in Milton Keynes

For a band so preoccupied with death, the circumstances around this tour have ultimately come to define it. Founded in the aftermath of 9/11 before going on to release a best-selling rock opera that carries the listener from a hospital deathbed to an imaginary afterlife, My Chemical Romance’s legacy is steeped in shared grief and survival. As a result, each of the shows is loaded with added poignancy. This clearly isn’t lost on the band, who seem in their own way changed by the past few years and are now on a trajectory that feels different from the one they were on three years ago.

First and foremost, there’s the joy. What’s most obvious about this tour is how much fun everyone is having. Gerard Way is all power stances and put-your-lighters-up, Frank Iero and Ray Toro are running around duelling guitars like classic rock legends, and multi-instrumentalist Mikey Way walks on stage after one show holding one of his kids in each arm while wearing a shirt that says ‘Mikey Fucking Way’. They’re leaning into their legacy while stripping back some of the more visual theatrics, leaving a performance so exposed that the commanding power of the band can be felt in full force.

My Chemical Romance’s Frank Iero, Mikey Way, Gerard Way and Ray Toro on their first UK tour in 11 years

Then, there’s the death of it all. ‘Foundations of Decay’ — their first song in eight years, released on the eve of the tour — contains a direct reference to 9/11 and the subsequent state of the world. The minimal set design also seems to allude to the twin towers, with destroyed buildings flanking the band on either side of the stage. To some it might seem morbid, but not to the MCRmy — and with them firmly in mind at all times, Way paid tribute to those that had passed away over the pandemic.

“It occurred to me, after the second show, that there was a bunch of people who were probably gonna be at these shows that aren’t with us any more”  — My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way, speaking to the crowd during their Milton Keynes show

“The first night [we were] fucking around having a good time and I was talking about how it’s been two and a half years and how does it feel and things like that,” Way told the crowd at Milton Keynes. “It occurred to me later, after the second show, that there was a bunch of people that were probably gonna be at these shows that aren’t here with us any more.” An audience member then passed him a homemade flag featuring names of some of the fans who would have been at the show, which he held up in their memory.

My Chemical Romance performing in Milton Keynes

The next night they paid tribute to Power Trip frontman Riley Gale, who passed away in August 2020. “I was so inspired by that fucking dude,” Way said, before revealing that My Chemical Romance were planning to ask Power Trip to open for them on the tour. “They were a great fucking band. Rest in peace, Riley, motherfucker!” he screamed, before the band launched into ‘Famous Last Words’ and its resolute chorus of “ I am not afraid to keep on living / I am not afraid to walk this world alone .” There have been many moments like this over the entire tour.

My Chemical Romance has always been more than a band. To fans they’re a community, a refuge, a first mate helping them navigate life’s more menacing waves. Every aspect of their music exists to confront things like depression, anxiety and alienation and transform them into euphoria, joy and collectivism. They make the simple act of living feel like heroism, and though the past few years have been filled with sadness above all else, the shows are almost certainly hitting harder now than they might have. In 2022, My Chemical Romance return to find themselves not just remembered, but genuinely needed.

My Chemical Romance Kick Off Reunion Tour with New Music, Rare Performances: Video + Setlist

Including the live debut of their new single, "The Foundations of Decay”

My Chemical Romance Kick Off Reunion Tour with New Music, Rare Performances: Video + Setlist

My Chemical Romance were finally free to proceed on their much-delayed reunion tour , making their first stop at the Eden Project in Cornwall, UK on Monday night (May 16th).

The band unloaded 21 tracks for a breakneck performance that covered every era of the esteemed emo group’s career with some unexpected deep cuts and long-awaited stage debuts. They wasted no time showing off their new tricks, kicking off the show with their comeback single and first released music in eight years, “The Foundations of Decay.”

As if the sound of new MCR wasn’t enough to pump up the audience, the band dove straight into the core of their catalog with “Helena.” The extensive setlist was full of hits (“Teenagers,” “Welcome to the Black Parade”) but also included plenty of surprises from the band’s under-sung later entries like 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys and their last studio release, 2013’s Conventional Weapons compilation. The latter project got particular shine after two songs from the album, “Surrender the Night” and “Boy Division,” graced the stage for the first time.

Elsewhere, MCR showed they are truly marching toward world domination on this upcoming tour as they dusted off The Black Parade staple “This Is How I Disappear” for the first time since 2010.  But the biggest crowd-pleasers came during the band’s three-song encore, where they closed out with the anthemic “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” and the rousing send-off “The Kids from Yesterday.”

Watch fan-captured footage of the concert and see the full setlist below.

In total, My Chemical Romance will embark on 64 dates across Europe and North America in 2022 and Australia and New Zealand in March 2023. MCR also tops the roster for several festivals this summer including Las Vegas’ When We Were Young , Saramento’s Aftershock , Dover’s Firefly , Chicago’s Riot Fest , and Atlanta’s Music Midtown . They’ll be supported throughout the tour by the likes of Badflower, Devil Master, Dilly Dally, GHÖSH, Kimya Dawson, Meg Myers, Midtown, Nothing, Shannon and the Clams, Soul Glo, Surfbort, Taking Back Sunday, The Bouncing Souls, The Homeless Gospel Choir, The Lemon Twigs, Thursday, Turnstile, Waterparks, and Youth Code. Fall in line with The Black Parade via Ticketmaster .

If you’re anything like us at THP, you’ll agree that the wait for My Chemical Romance to come back was pretty grueling, but worth it in the end. They just wrapped up the United States leg of their reunion tour and we’ve enjoyed every minute of it! Each setlist combined their biggest hits and lesser-known tracks so well, making sure both longtime MCRmy and newer fans could enjoy themselves and jam out.

To celebrate their return and successful shows so far, we wanted to round up some of our favorite moments of MCR’s reunion tour! So grab your eyeliner and military jackets, or your bright clothes and masks if you’re more of a Danger Days stan…

Reacting To A Rainbow

There was a special guest at My Chem’s Stockholm show, specifically a bright rainbow that popped up over the stage. The crowd yelled to the band to look up and once he caught on, Gerard exclaimed, “That sure as sh*t is a rainbow! That’s what happens when it rains.” Gerard Way: rockstar, artist, and science professor.

The Drum Quotes

Every night of the tour so far, there’s been a mysterious, cryptic, or downright random quote on the face of the bass drum. These quotes have varied from things like “big death energy” and “I wanna see you turn into a werewolf” to “you got the job” and “happy birthday you beautiful man” for Mikey’s birthday show in New York. And for some, they leaned into dad jokes that simultaneously made us cringe and made us remember why we love this band so much in the first place.

there’s absolutely no way mcr taped a dad joke to the drum kit tonight….i don’t even know why i’m surprised anymore pic.twitter.com/xqmjA6j8Yg — fran. (@kissofviolence) June 12, 2022

Giving Skincare Advice

Above pretty much everything else, My Chemical Romance is a band that always looks out for their fans. And apparently, that includes self-care regiments, because Gerard has us covered! During one live intro for ‘Vampire Money,’ he let us know that “you should moisturize, it really helps your skin.” So on those nights when you don’t feel like doing your skincare routine before bed, remember what Gerard wants you to do and use that as motivation.

“Bon The F*ck Jour”

With so many fans worldwide, MCR are always finding new ways to show their appreciation for listeners in different places. This is what led Frank and Gerard to theorize on how to ask fans “what the f*ck is up” in French, and they settled on “bon the f*ck jour,” which Frank continued to say at several shows. A bilingual king!

“This Is The Skin Of A Killer, Bella.”

A little bit of MCR lore here: rumor has it that Edward Cullen from Twilight was vaguely inspired by Gerard, and the team behind the movies approached My Chem to make a song for one of the films. They said no and instead released ‘Vampire Money’ in 2010, a Twilight parody of sorts that has quickly become a fan-favorite track. Flash forward to 2022 and Gerard is walking out on stage in Twilight merch.

‘Gimme More’ Merch!

Okay, we have one more merch look to point out! This one is from our favorite bassist, Mikey, who rocked a Britney Spears shirt at one of their New Jersey shows. Two of our favorite artists’ worlds colliding? We can’t complain.

‘Famous Last Words’ Video, Is That You?

My Chem set the stage on fire whenever they play a show, but in Los Angeles, they took that a bit literally. Gerard walked out in his fan-favorite cheerleader costume holding a flamethrower, waved it around a bit, and returned it to a member of their crew without a word. Confusing, but relatable in a way.

And so #MCRLA Night 1 begins! 🔥 📣 pic.twitter.com/jjkKk1WbUr See Also Music Arlo Parks’ Lyrics Are A Poetic Tapestry Of Emotion — MCR Tour Updates (@The_MCR_Archive) October 12, 2022

Singing ‘You Are My Sunshine’

A few years back, Frank released a cover of ‘You Are My Sunshine’ with his kids, and we’re getting a revamped version for 2022… kind of. MCR played a mini cover of the song before jumping into ‘Famous Last Words’ in San Antonio, and we’re kinda confused as to why, but we’re vibing. Consider it a bonus song on the setlist.

That’s An Interesting Guitar Pick

It’s no secret that Ray is one of the most impressive guitarists out there, and he’s so talented that he can shred without a pick… without a traditional pick, anyway. At their Oklahoma City show, he used a broken wine glass for the breakdown of ‘Sleep,’ and we were on edge the whole time.

The Ghost Of Gerard

Gerard gave us some pretty legendary costumes this tour, offering everything from a clown to Princess Diana, but one of our favorites would have to be what the MCRmy now knows as Ghost Gerard. He only wore the costume for a few songs in Florida, but that included ‘This Is How I Disappear,’ so we were fine with that. And when he took it off, he was just wearing normal clothes underneath.

‘The Kids From Yesterday?’

The U.S. leg of the reunion tour closed out with MCR headlining the When We Were Young festival in Vegas, and they took that name to heart. Not only did they break out their black and red costumes from the Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge era, but they also wore zombie makeup to bring some “old” vibes to When We Were Young .

Why My Chemical Romance’s Reunion Tour Has Proven ‘Bigger Than Anyone Thought It Could Be’

As the band prepares for its first North American run in over a decade, its reunion tour's early returns suggest a one-of-a-kind, $60 million success story.

By Jason Lipshutz

Jason Lipshutz

Gerard Way, My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance ’s first reunion show was a personally moving experience for Matt Galle, the band’s longtime agent. “It was very emotional to see them back,” CAA’s Galle, who had known the group since his days as a small-time Boston promoter in the early 2000s, tells Billboard of the band’s comeback show, an underplay at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles in December 2019. “You never knew if it was going to happen again or not.”

My Chemical Romance Hits New Heights With $20 Million European Tour

The sold-out show at the nearly 5,000-capacity venue went off without a hitch: the band’s performance was rapturous , and the box office gross was record-breaking . Yet prior to the show, Galle looked around the audience and got the biggest hint at just how significant a full My Chemical Romance reunion tour could be. “I noticed that the crowd was people my age that grew up with the band, and maybe a little older,” says Galle, 44. “And then there were people that were my kids’ ages — in junior high, in high school, in college. It was multiple generations of people, that had all waited to see them.”

Two-and-a-half years and one pandemic later, My Chemical Romance have returned to the road, and hundreds of thousands of fans across demographics and continents have gotten what they’ve been waiting for. During a summer in which a crowded marketplace has led to some deflated ticket sales, the My Chemical Romance Reunion Tour has thus far been an unequivocal smash: through 21 dates across the U.K. and Europe in May and June, the trek earned $21.1 million with 277,000 tickets sold, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore .

Trending on Billboard

Those numbers make the reunion run the biggest tour of My Chemical Romance’s career – and it’s not even one-third of the way complete. Later this month, the band kicks off a 42-date North American tour that wraps in November, then heads to Australia and New Zealand for eight shows in March 2023, with headlining festival gigs interspersed with arena dates. With tickets in sky-high demand, Billboard Boxscore estimates that the My Chemical Romance Reunion Tour’s final gross will cross $60 million.

“It’s gotten so, so much bigger than anyone thought it could be,” says Rick Franks, co-president of North American touring at Live Nation, one of multiple promoters working on the Reunion Tour. “We knew it was big. We knew it was arena big. We just didn’t know the demand would blow these places out immediately.”

“Compared to the market as a whole,” says Adam Weiser, svp of global touring at AEG, “this is one of the biggest tours of the last three years.”

Even in their commercial heyday in the mid-‘00s, My Chemical Romance were never sure-thing arena headliners – led by Gerard Way, the quartet represented an influential alt-rock group with a cult following and some true crossover moments. Their 2004 sophomore album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, but spun off emo-pop singles like “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” and “Helena,” the band’s first Hot 100 entries. The Black Parade , the band’s rock opera follow-up, became their mainstream breakthrough, bowing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and giving the band their lone top 10 hit on the Hot 100 with the epic-by-design sing-along “Welcome to the Black Parade,” which peaked at No. 9.

The Black Parade World Tour in 2007-08 brought My Chemical Romance to a mix of arenas, theaters and festivals around the globe, earning an average of $183,600 on 5,415 tickets sold per date, according to Billboard Boxscore. Yet the band’s 2010 album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys halted their commercial momentum, peaking at No. 8 on the Billboard 200; its accompanying live run, The World Contamination Tour, saw nightly grosses and attendance fall by 27% (to $136,000) and 37% (to 3,392 tickets), respectively. That tour wrapped in May 2012, and less than a year later, My Chemical Romance announced their breakup.

As the band members explored solo and side projects in the mid-2010s, however, My Chemical Romance’s catalog gained a steady listenership across different platforms. The Black Parade has become a regular entry on Top Rock & Alternative Albums, a consumption-based weekly chart, for years: since 2017, the album has logged 83 weeks on the tally, placing next to new releases as well as enduring classics by bands like Nirvana and Sublime. As “I’m Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “Welcome to the Black Parade” have carried on, as it were, as streaming successes – combined, they’ve earned over 1 billion U.S. on-demands streams to date, according to Luminate – and as staples in alternative and rock radio rotations.

“There is a level of rediscovery that’s happening,” says Michelle Rutkowski, program director at alt-rock station WLUM-FM in Milwaukee. “‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ was always the biggest hit and shows up the most frequently in our library, but it’s been interesting to see ‘Helena’ and ‘I’m Not Okay’ [performing well] in research, where previously they had not.”

Rutkowski also points out that My Chemical Romance’s appeal was never just about the songs and albums – the band’s aesthetic, a goth-glam riff on mid-’00s emo that updated through different album eras, cut through a crowded scene. It also fueled major merchandise sales, even (and especially) when the band was defunct. “MCR has one of the most passionate fan bases I’ve ever seen during my 10-plus years as a buyer at Hot Topic,” Mikey Seitis, senior buyer of music and music apparel at the popular mall chain, told Billboard in 2020.

In addition to the renewed interest in their catalog and t-shirt sale opportunities, Weiser believes that a My Chemical Romance reunion run was always going to do strong business because of the band’s touring history… or lack thereof. “There was almost this mythology of My Chemical Romance live, because they never over-toured,” he says. The band’s final headline trek mostly played to theaters, and was broken up by a co-headlining run with Blink-182 as part of the Honda Civic Tour that year.

As such, the band hadn’t embarked on a proper headlining tour with arena dates since The Black Parade World Tour wrapped in 2008 – creating a “perfect storm” of demand, says Rich Schaefer, svp of global touring at AEG. “Longtime fans had been waiting, and new fans had come up without ever having had the chance to see the band,” he says. “So we just sort of realized, ‘Wow, this thing [could] be huge.’”

According to Galle, the first real discussion of a reunion tour happened in early summer 2019 at a meeting at Way’s Los Angeles home; the band had a specific vision for the return, one that didn’t include a comeback album or media blitz. “It was always a less-is-more thing – they just wanted to play the music for the fans,” says Galle. The Shrine Auditorium show in December 2019 sold out immediately and grossed nearly $1.5 million, a record for the venue. A 2020 reunion tour, including 18 North American arena dates for the fall of the year, was announced in January, and ticket demand surpassed the wildest expectations of all parties involved.

“I remember the morning of the first presale – we just had these massive queue counts on these arena shows,” Schaefer recalls. “They had some of the biggest numbers I had ever heard of for a non-Elton, non-Springsteen kind of thing. It was in its own universe.”

Of course, that 2020 tour never happened – the run was postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic, then postponed again to 2022. Ticket buyers were given the opportunity to receive refunds due to the postponement – and reps for both Live Nation and AEG confirm that the overwhelming majority did not, instead opting to hold onto their spots at the My Chemical Romance Reunion Tour for over 900 days.

The postponement allowed more dates to be added to the Reunion Tour, with those 18 dates expanded to over 40 in North America, including extra shows in the New York and Los Angeles areas and smaller markets like Raleigh, San Antonio and Cincinnati added as well. My Chemical Romance’s U.K. and Europe tour maintained an average of $1 million per night, and Galle says that the North American dates “should all be around the $2 million-plus gross range.”

With the U.S. run kicking off on Aug. 20 in Oklahoma City, My Chemical Romance diehards in North America will finally get a chance to see the band after years of inactivity and postponements. After that, the band’s future remains to be seen. Although they released a surprise single, the six-minute prog-rock scorcher “The Foundations of Decay,” in May to help commemorate their live return, no new album or further studio output has been confirmed. And while the reunion tour has demonstrated a huge demand for their live show, My Chemical Romance may choose not to exploit that market once this run wraps up in early 2023.

“I don’t think they’re gonna be an act that’s out touring every year, at all,” says Galle. “If they do end up playing again after these dates are over, it’ll be selective, and the way they want to do it.” With the band headlining festivals like Firefly, Riot Fest and When We Were Young (the lattermost is expected to sell 185,000-190,000 tickets across three days, per Live Nation) as part of their upcoming North America itinerary, Galle says that it’s been gratifying to have other festival bookers ringing him up about My Chemical Romance for future lineups.

“A lot of the cool festivals want them to headline and be a part of them,” Galle says. “I don’t know what they’ll end up doing, but it’s nice to see people thinking about them in that respect.”

Regardless of how My Chemical Romance’s touring future plays out, the Reunion Tour has been so successful that any follow-up should generate major interest from fans who missed this comeback run, or want a second helping. The performance of this tour has proven that My Chemical Romance should be viewed as a major player on the road moving forward, and not just for a long-awaited reunion trek.

“If they [tour] strategically and don’t over-saturate the market,” says Schaefer, “I think that they can absolutely sustain this crazy-high level.”

15 of our favourite emo bands then and now:, then: the all-american rejects.

The All-American Rejects were formed in Oklahoma in 1999 by school friends Tyler Ritter and Nick Wheeler. They came up with their band name after listening to 'Reject', a song from Green Day's 'Nimrod' album from 1997. The band, who were briefly joined by guitarist Jesse Tabish, released their first EP, 'Same Girl, New Songs' in 2001 and shortly after signed their first record contract. Drummer, Chris Gaylor and guitarist Mike Kennerty both joined the band in 2002. The All-American Rejects released their debut, self-titled album in 2002, which peaked at Number 25 on the Billboard 200 Album chart.

Now: The All-American Rejects

The All-American Rejects have sold over 10 million albums worldwide and have released multiple hits including 'Dirty Little Secret' (a Top 20 smash in the UK) and 'Move Along'. Their biggest selling song to date, 'Gives You Hell' from their 'When the World Comes Down' album was certified 4× Multi-Platinum for sales of over 4 million in the US. In 2019, The All-American Rejects released a three-track EP called 'Send Her to Heaven' which was written by Tyler Ritter and Weezer's Rivers Cuomo. The following year, the band released 'Rejects Faves' onto streaming sites, which features 14 of the band's favourite songs from their four studio albums. In 2020, lead singer Tyson said it was unlikely that they'd "make another record anytime soon if ever" as he was working on side projects, but they did reunite for the When We Were Young festival in October 2022.

Then: Death Cab For Cutie

Death Cab For Cutie began in 1997 as a solo project for frontman Ben Gibbard while he was at Western Washington University. After the success of his first demo 'You Can Play These Songs with Chords', Ben decided to form a band and hired guitarist Chris Walla, bass player Nick Harmer and drummer Nathan Good. The group's name comes from the song 'Death Cab For Cutie' written by the The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. The four-piece released their debut album, 'Something About Airplanes' in 1998. Original drummer Nathan Good left the band in 1999 and was replaced by Michael Schorr in 2000. However, it wasn't until the release of their fourth album, 'Transatlanticism' in 2003 that they started to achieve more commercial success. Two singles from the album, 'The Sound of Settling' and 'Title and Registration', were featured on soundtracks for popular TV shows The O.C., Six Feet Under and CSI: Miami.

Now: Death Cab For Cutie

Their best-selling single to date is 'I Will Follow You into the Dark' from their 2005 Platinum-selling album 'Plans'. The single gained the band a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 2007. After parting ways with Michael Schorr in 2003 and Chris Walla in 2015, the bound welcomed Jason McGerr in 2003, and Dave Depper and Zac Rae in 2015 into the band. Now a five-piece, Death Cab For Cutie released their latest album 'Asphalt Meadows' in 2022.

Then: Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy was formed by friends Pete Wentz and Joe Trohman as a pop punk side project from their respective bands in 2001. The Chicago duo were soon joined by vocalist Patrick Stump later that year. The line-up was completed in 2003 when Andy Hurley joined the band, after several previous attempts to secure a drummer. The band released their debut album, 'Take This To Your Grave' in 2003, which became an underground hit and gained them a loyal fanbase. However, Fall Out Boy achieved breakthrough success after the release of their second album 'From Under the Cork Tree' in 2005. It peaked at Number 12 in the UK and has since reached Platinum status on these shores. To date it has sold more than 4 million units worldwide. The album boasts hit singles 'Sugar, We're Goin' Down' and 'Dance, Dance' which continue to be firm fan favourites today.

Now: Fall Out Boy

2007's 'Infinity on High' became the band's first Number 1 album, after selling over 260,000 copies during its first week. After a hiatus in 2009, Fall Out Boy reunited in 2012 and have gone on to sell over 8.5 million albums worldwide. Their albums 'Save Rock and Roll' (2013), 'AmericanBeauty/America Psycho' (2015) and 'Mania' (2018) all reached Number 1 on the US Billboard 200. In 2022, Fall Out Boy performed alongside Green Day and Weezer on the Hella Mega Tour after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Guitarist Joe Trohman announced in January 2023 that he was taking a break from the band to focus on his mental health, and the group will release their eighth album 'So Much (for) Stardust' in March 2023. They also announced five UK arena dates in Autumn 2023.

California's AFI, which abbreviated stands for A Fire Inside, were formed in 1991 when members Davey Havok, Adam Carson, Mark Stopholese and Vic Chalker were still at high school. Even though the band didn't know how to play any instruments at the time, they knew they wanted to make music together. After finely honing their musical skills, AFI released their first EP, 'Dork' in 1993 and two years later they released their debut studio album 'Answer That and Stay Fashionable'. AFI didn't reach major commercial success until 2000 when they released their fifth album, 'The Art of Drowning', which sold over 100,000 copies. In 2006, AFI released their seventh album, 'Decemberunderground' which debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200. The album featured their hit single 'Miss Murder', which is one of the band's biggest and most recognisable songs.

Vocalist Davey Havok and drummer Adam Carson are the only original members from the band's inception in 1991, but bass player Hunter Burgan and guitarist Jade Puget have both been longstanding members since 1998. In June 2021, the band released their 11th studio album 'Bodies' in June 2021.

Then: Funeral For A Friend

Funeral For A Friend formed in 2001 when January Thirst's Matthew Evans and Johnny Phillips invited Matt Davies-Kreye to join their group after their lead singer quit. Along with Andi Morris and Kerry and Kris Coombs-Roberts, the band renamed themselves to Funeral for a Friend, which is a song by Illinois post-hardcore band Planes Mistaken for Stars. After parting ways with Kerry Roberts, the band were joined by guitarist Darran Smith and went on to record their debut EP 'Between Order and Model' in 2002. However, just before the EP's release, Andi Morris, Johnny Phillips and Matthew Evans left the band. Matt Davies-Kreye became the primary vocalist and the band later recruited bass player, Gareth Ellis-Davies and drummer Ryan Richards. In 2003, Funeral For A Friend released their debut album 'Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation' and saw three of the album's singles reach the UK Top 20, including 'Juneau', 'She Drove Me to Daytime Television' and 'Escape Artists Never Die'. A year after its release, the album was awarded a Gold certification for selling over 100,000 copies.

Now: Funeral For A Friend

Despite breaking up in 2016, the band returned in 2019 as a six-piece: Matt Davies-Kreye, Kris Coombs-Roberts, Darran Smith, Ryan Richards, Gavin Burrough and Richard Boucher. They played three benefit shows at Cardiff University and London's Shepherd's Bush Empire. The band then announced their UK headline tour for January 2022, playing songs from their first three albums.

Then: Good Charlotte

Twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden decided to start a band after seeing a Beastie Boys show in 1995. The brothers, who hail from Waldorf, Maryland, asked their school friends Paul Thomas and Aaron Escolopio to join them and started playing shows under the name Good Charlotte. The name for the band came from a children's book called 'Good Charlotte: Girls of the Good Day Orphanage', written by Carol Beach York. Guitarist Billy Martin joined the band in 1998 after making friends with the Madden brothers. After several local radio stations played the band's demo of 'Little Things', the band were signed to Epic Records in 2000. Later than year, Good Charlotte released their self-titled debut-album. It was their second album, 'The Young and the Hopeless', which was released in 2002 that helped the band reach mainstream popularity. The album boasted the singles 'Lifestyles Of The Rich and Famous' and 'The Anthem' and debuted at Number 7 on the Billboard 200 and has sold over 4.9 million copies to date. After parting ways with original drummer, Aaron Escolopio in 2001, the band went on to work with Chris Wilson (2001-2005) before finally landing on their current drummer, Dean Butterworth in 2005.

Now: Good Charlotte

Today, the band regularly help write and produce records for groups such as 5 Seconds of Summer, Tonight Alive, and Waterparks. The Madden brothers also own their own management company called MDDN which represents acts such as Architects and Sleeping With Sirens. Despite these various other projects, Good Charlotte are still very much together and released their seventh studio album, 'Generation Rx' in 2018. In 2020, Good Charlotte celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut album and released the single 'Last December'. They will also play the When We Were Young festival in October 2023.

Then: My Chemical Romance

After witnessing the devastating 9/11 attacks in New York in 2001, friends Gerard Way and Matt Pelissier decided they wanted to start a band. Shortly after, they were joined by Gerard's brother Mikey Way, Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Mikey suggested the name My Chemical Romance after seeing an Irvine Welsh book called 'Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance' at the bookstore he worked at. In 2002, the band released their debut album, 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love' and started to gain a strong following on Myspace. A year later, My Chemical Romance signed a record deal with Reprise. Their second album 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge' which was released in 2004 and gave the band commercial and critical success. They released four singles, 'I'm Not Okay (I Promise)', 'Thank You for the Venom', 'Helena', and 'The Ghost of You' and in just over a year, the album went Platinum. Just a month after the album's release, drummer Matt Pelissier left the group and was replaced by Bob Bryar. Their third album, 2007's 'Welcome To The Black Parade', was a major turning point for the band. The album debuted at Number 2 on both the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart and the title track, 'Welcome to the Black Parade' went on to be the band's first Number 1 single. By now, My Chemical Romance were one of the biggest bands on the planet.

Now: My Chemical Romance

Despite disbanding in 2013 to focus on solo projects, the band reunited in 2019 and played a sold-out reunion show at the Los Angeles Shrine Exhibition Hall in December 2019. Following on from the success of the reunion show, the band announced a worldwide tour for 2020 which was postponed until 2022 due to the pandemic. They released song 'The Foundations of Decay' in May 2022 - their first output since 2014. Gerard Way is also the writer behind popular comic book series The Umbrella Academy, which was turned into a hit Netflix TV show.

Then: Jimmy Eat World

Jimmy Eat World were formed in Arizona in 1991 when childhood friends frontman Jim Adkins and drummer Zach Lind were joined by guitarist Tom Linton and bass player Mitch Porter to see if they could make some songs together. The band's name came from a drawing made by guitarist Linton's younger brothers, Jim and Ed Linton. After losing a fight with Jim, Ed drew a picture of his brother with the Earth in his mouth and wrote the caption "Jimmy eat world". They released their self-titled debut album in 1994, just as the band were leaving high-school and went on to release albums, 'Static Prevails' (1996) and 'Clarity' (1999). During this time, Mitch Porter left Jimmy Eat World and was replaced with Rick Burch. The band's big break came with the release of their fourth album, 'Bleed American', which was certified Platinum in both Canada and the US. The album's biggest singles 'The Middle' and 'Sweetness' both peaked at Number 1 and Number 2 respectively. 'The Middle', which is arguably the band's most well-known song, also peaked at Number 5 Stateside.

Now: Jimmy Eat World

The band released their 10th studio album 'Surviving' in 2019, which features songs 'Congratulations', 'Surviving' and 'Criminal Energy.' On 15th December 2020, the band held an online concert series called 'Phoenix Sessions' where they sang hits from albums 'Surviving', 'Futures' and 'Clarity'. They played festivals Lollapalooza in 2021 and When We Were Young in 2022, later releasing independent singles 'Something Loud' in June 2022 and 'Place Your Debts' in October 2022.

Then: Panic! At The Disco

Panic! At The Disco was formed by childhood friends, guitarist Ryan Ross and drummer Spencer Smith in 2004. The duo, who were still at school, asked friends Brent Wilson and Brendon Urie to join their band, which started out as a blink-182 cover group before they started writing their own songs. In 2004, the Las Vegas foursome signed to Decaydance Records, home of Fall Out Boy. They released their debut album 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out' in 2005 and within a year it reached Platinum status. The music video for the album's single 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies' also won Video of the Year at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. Original bass player Brent Wilson was fired from the band in 2006, and Ryan Ross and Jon Walker (Brent's replacement) both left the band in 2009 after the release of second album 'Pretty.Odd' (2008). Touring bassist Dallon Weekes joined the band's official line-up along with Urie and Smith, making the band a three-piece in 2010. A year later they released the album 'Vices & Virtues'.

Now: Panic! At The Disco

Panic! At The Disco became the solo project of frontman Brendon Urie after drummer Spencer Smith and bassist Dallon Weekes left the band in 2015 and 2017 respectively. 'Death of a Bachelor' (2017) was Panic!'s fifth studio album and their first as a solo project. It debuted at Number 1 on the US Billboard 200 - a first for Panic! - and was certified double Platinum for selling 2 million copies. It was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. The follow-up album 'Pray for the Wicked' (2018) also debuted at Number 1 in the US and achieved Platinum status. Brendon contributed 'Into the Unknown' to the soundtrack of the 2019 Disney hit film Frozen II, and released seventh album 'Viva Las Vengeance' in 2022. In January 2023, Brendon announced that Panic! would be disbanding after the 'Viva Las Vengeance Tour' finished in March 2023 so that he could focus on his family.

Then: Paramore

In 2004, brothers Josh and Zac Farro joined forces with friends Jeremy Davis, Hayley Williams and Jason Bynum to create the band Paramore . Hayley Williams once said that the name was inspired by a former member's mother's maiden name. Signed in 2005, Paramore released their debut studio album 'All We Know Is Falling' later that year. A few months later, Jason Bynum left the band and was replaced by Hunter Lamb. Paramore's big breakthrough moment came upon the release of their second album 'Riot!' in 2007, which peaked on the Billboard 200 albums chart at Number 15 and 24 in the UK. The album includes hits such as 'That's What You Get' and 'Misery Business' which has since been certified triple-Platinum. This was also the first album with guitarist and long-time friend of the band Taylor York. In 2010, Josh and Zac Farro left the band following the release of Paramore's third album, 'Brand New Eyes', which reached Number 1 in the UK. The group received their first Grammy Award in 2013, and Jeremy Davis left the band in 2015.

Now: Paramore

After announcing Zac Farro's return to the band, Paramore released their fifth album 'After Laughter' in 2017. Marking a seismic shift in musical direction for the band, the album, which featured hits such as 'Hard Times' and 'Rose-Colored Boy', debuted at Number 4 in the UK. After a hiatus to pursue individual projects, Paramore returned to the studio in January 2022, performing at the When We Were Young Festival in October that year and sixth album 'This Is Why' was released in February 2023.

Then: Senses Fail

Senses Fail began in October 2001 when frontman Buddy Nielsen posted an ad online to recruit band members and found drummer Dan Trapp, guitarists Garrett Zablocki and Dave Miller as well as bassist James Gill (who was later replaced by Mike Glita). After being signed to Drive-Thru Records, Senses Fail released their debut album 'Let It Enfold You' in 2004. The album went on to sell over 600,000 copies worldwide and saw the release of two singles 'Buried a Lie' and 'Rum Is for Drinking, Not for Burning.' Their second offering, 'Still Searching', came in at Number 15 on the Billboard 200, which remains Senses Fail's highest-charting album to date.

Now: Senses Fail

The band has gone through multiple line-up changes since starting in 2001, with Buddy Nielsen being the only consistent member throughout. Senses Fail now consists of Buddy Nielsen, guitarists Jason Milbank and Gavin Caswell, drummer Steve Carey and bass player Greg Styliades. In January 2020, Senses Fail announced that they had begun recording their eighth record, with a working title 'What the Thunder Said, Hell Is in Your Head'. The album is expected to be released at some point in 2021, but no dates have yet been confirmed. In November 2020, the band released 'Christmas Has Been Canceled Due to Lack of Hustle' - an EP featuring two songs: a cover of Saturday Night Live's 'I Wish It Was Christmas Today' and 'Donde Esta Santa Clause'. Most recently, the band released 'Lush Rimbaugh' at the time of American radio personality Rush Limbaugh's death. In September 2022, Greg Styliades announced he would go forward as a part-time touring member of the band.

Then: Taking Back Sunday

Long Island's Taking Back Sunday were formed in 1999 by guitarists Eddie Reyes and Steven DeJoseph. The band was named after a song from the band's friends, The Waiting Process. After several line-up changes, Taking Back Sunday eventually settled on vocalist Adam Lazarra, guitarist Eddie Reyes, bassist Shaun Cooper, lead guitarist John Nolan and drummer Mark O'Connell. The group released their debut album 'Tell All Your Friends' in 2002, which included emo anthems such as 'Cute Without The E (Cut From The Team)' and 'Timberwolves at New Jersey'. This still remains the band's best-selling album, after selling 790,000 copies worldwide. Taking Back Sunday's biggest break came off the back of their 2006 album 'Louder Now'. Not only was it voted Kerrang!'s album of the year in 2006, it also debuted at Number 2 on the Billboard 200.

Now: Taking Back Sunday

There have been 11 members of Taking Back Sunday over the years. Despite both leaving the band in 2003, members John Nolan and Shaun Cooper rejoined, but founding member Eddie Reyes left the band in 2018 to focus on overcoming his alcoholism. Adam Lazzara continues to be Taking Back Sunday's frontman. In 2016, Taking Back Sunday released their seventh studio album, 'Tidal Wave', which peaked at number 2 on Billboard's US Top Alternative Albums chart. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Taking Back Sunday, the band released 'Twenty' (2019) which was a compilation album filled with some of their biggest hits including 'MakeDamnSure', 'A Decade Under the Influence' and 'Sink into Me'. In October 2020, John Nolan revealed that the band were currently not signed to a label.

Then: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

Originating in Florida, childhood friends Ronnie Winter and Duke Kitchens came up with the idea of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus in 2001 whilst in a music theory class. The band became official two years later when the duo recruited Thomas Amason, Thomas Wurth and Dan Wagler to join them. They came up with their moniker after writing a series of random words on a board and voting for which ones they liked best. After gaining popularity on Myspace, the band were signed to Virgin Records in 2005. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus released their first album, 'Don't You Fake It', in 2006 along with singles 'Face Down', 'False Pretense,' 'Your Guardian Angel,' and 'Damn Regret.' The album debuted at Number 25 on the Billboard 200 and the single 'Face Down' is still the band's most successful song.

Now: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

After several line-up changes, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are now made up of founding member Ronnie Winter, Joey Westwood, Josh Burke, Randy Winter, John Espy and Daniel Resnick. They released their latest album 'The Awakening' in 2018, which was co-produced by frontman Ronnie and his wife Angela Defoe. This is the first album created by the band since 2014. In August 2020, the band released a new EP called 'The Emergency' which contained two previously released singles 'Brace Yourself' and 'A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Called LA', as well as four additional new tracks.

Then: The Used

The Used were formed in January 2001 by members Branden Steineckert, Quinn Allman, Jeph Howard and Bert McCracken. After just a year of being together, the Utah natives were signed by Reprise Records under the name 'Used'. However, after discovering that another band had trademarked that name, they became 'The Used'. In 2002, they released their self-titled debut album, which featured the singles 'The Taste of Ink', 'Buried Myself Alive' and 'Blue and Yellow.' The album has since gone Platinum, with all three singles performing well on the Billboard charts. 'In Love and Death', their second album was released two years later and is still their most commercially successful album after selling a million copies worldwide. It featured singles 'Take It Away', 'All That I've Got' and 'I Caught Fire'. This was the last album to feature original drummer, Branden Steineckert who was later replaced by Dan Whitesides.

Now: The Used

After parting ways with Quinn Allman and Justin Shekoski, The Used is now made up of original members Bert McCracken and Jeph Howard along with Dan Whitesides and Joey Bradford. They released their eighth album 'Heartwork' in 2020, reaching Number 4 on Billboard's US Top Alternative Albums chart and US Top Hard Rock Albums chart. They also announced that they were planning to release another album of the remaining 11 songs they recorded but didn't use for 'Heartwork', and a ninth album has been announced for Spring 2023.

Then: You Me At Six

School friends Josh Franceschi, Max Helyer, Chris Miller, Matt Barnes and Joe Phillips created You Me At Six in 2004. After releasing their first EP 'We Know What It Means to Be Alone' in 2006, Joe left the band and was replaced by drummer Dan Flint. Originating from Surrey, the band came up with their name after the members started using the phrase to make plans on a Friday night. 'Take Off Your Colours', You Me At Six's debut album, was released in 2008 and peaked on the UK Albums Chart at Number 25. The band released six singles from the album, including 'Save It for the Bedroom', 'If I Were in Your Shoes', 'Gossip', 'Jealous Minds Think Alike', 'Finders Keepers' and 'Kiss and Tell'.

Now: You Me At Six

Sticking with the same line-up, You Me At Six's seventh album 'Suckapunch' was released in January 2021 and reached Number 1 on the UK album chart. This is the second top spot for the band after their 2014 hit 'Cavalier Youth' which features singles 'What It's Like', 'Adrenaline' and 'Make Me Feel Alive'. They announced their eighth album 'Truth Decay' for early 2023.
