Maxwell Is Ready to ‘Serenade’ Fans on 2024 North American Tour

Maxwell has announced a 2024 North American tour, which kicks off on Sept. 14 at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida. The 26-date trek will feature special guests Jazmine Sullivan and October London.

Tickets for the run dubbed the Serenade Tour, go on sale this Friday, March 29, at 10 a.m. local time via his official website .

Today, three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning multi-platinum artist  Maxwell  announced  The Serenade 2024 North American Tour .  Maxwell  will be joined by special guest two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning R&B powerhouse and Philadelphia native  Jazmine Sullivan  and rising singer-songwriter  October London .  The Serenade 2024 North American Tour will make a stop at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA, on September 24, 2024.

The Serenade Tour  follows Maxwell’s remarkable recent years of touring, which saw him embark on the 2022  NIGHT Tour  with Anthony Hamilton and Joe, a sold-out 25-date international arena run – included in Pollstar’s 2022 list of “Top 20 Global Concert Tours. Additionally, last year, the R&B legend performed sold-out symphony dates at San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall (accompanied by the San Francisco Symphony), Wynn’s Encore Theater in Las Vegas, and Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center (accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra). The Kennedy Center dates were a return to the esteemed venue since Maxwell’s record-breaking 2019 symphony run. His prolific performances included a three-night engagement at Hollywood Bowl, which  Billboard  described as “rapturous” and a showcase of “Maxwell’s still-supple tenor and hypnotizing falsetto.”

In February, Maxwell took to the seas for the romantic, star-studded Urban Hang Suite Cruise. The four-night sold-out ocean cruise, which featured exclusive performances by Maxwell and special guests, treated guests to a romantic weekend aboard the Norwegian Pearl, stopping at Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas. 

Maxwell’s return to the road,  The Serenade Tour  marks a reunion with Jazmine Sullivan, who joined him on his Maxwell 08 Tour.

Maxwell will embark on The Serenade Tour this year, the three-time Grammy winner announced Monday (March 25).

The 26-date jaunt, which will be supported by special guest Jazmine Sullivan and October London, will kicks off on Sept. 14 at Hollywood, Fla.’s Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, and wrap on Oct. 27 at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. Sullivan previously supported Maxwell during his Maxwell 08 Tour.

The neo-soul legend’s last tour was The Night Tour in 2022 with Anthony Hamilton and Joe , which was included in Pollstar ‘s Top 20 Global Concert Tours list that year. Last year, he performed multiple shows at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco (accompanied by the San Francisco Symphony), Wynn’s Encore Theater in Las Vegas, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. (accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra) and the Hollywood Bowl.

Neo soul icon Maxwell has announced a huge U.S. tour later in 2024 joined by special guests Jazmine Sullivan and October London . The Serenade Tour takes place in September/October visiting tons of major markets including Tampa, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Washington DC, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and his hometown of Brooklyn. The singer-songwriter recently wrapped up The Night Tour which originally launched in 2022 and was joined by Anthony Hamilton and Joe .

Back in 2016, Maxwell teamed up with Mary J. Blige and embarked on their King + Queen of Hearts Tour across North America along with support from Ro James . The following year, his own Summers' Tour was joined by Ledisi , Common and Leela James . The Grammy-winning singer is best known for shaping the neo soul genre in the '90s, which contributes to his recurring theme of romantic monogamy that differentiates him from other R&B artists.

Amy Cohen Book Launch at EMM Sunday April 14.  Cohen’s new book,  Black History in the Philadelphia Landscape  explores a critical part of our city’s history.  A member of the EMM board of directors, her mansion presentation will focus on African Americans in the later nineteenth century.

Victorian Book Club April 28, 3 p.m.  George Lippard’s novel  The Quaker City  was the naughty best seller of nineteenth century America.  Here is a chance to get to see another side of Victorian America (they weren’t all so prim and proper).

Victorian Germantown Walking Tour ending at Maxwell Mansion June 8 at 10 a.m.   In partnership with the Preservation Alliance, architectural historian Warren Williams will lead a tour of the Tulpehocken Historic District, including houses and churches, that ends with an architecture-themed tour of Maxwell Mansion. Tickets go on sale in late April.

My Maxwell Review : Not sure where to start I have known him from growing up in NYC back in the days. I have been a fan forever. Maxwell has the look Handsome and sexy yet humble "the style and his talent to sing and write timeless songs, and music and to perform is amazing!!

Maxwell does this at such a level that everyone from low to high to in between, every class every genre, every race he captures.

Maxwell's talent is timeless and effortless his approach and his voice is rich and silky- smooth and sexy" and romantic with subtle power in a way that only he can deliver."He is a legend and he is keeping real music alive".

When I learned that Mawell was the headliner to play in Concord CA,this past Memorial Day, I knew at that moment I was going!I stood in the cold, windy, rain 2 purchase my ticket & did not mind going solo-had so much fun! His performance,band & female singer were dynamic, and I was in Heaven, throughout its entirety! I love Maxwell's spirit, candidness, humor, spirituality,& he remembering Marvin Gaye! It got cold during the night, yet I wrapped myself tightly in 2 blankets and stood, during the duration, mesmerized by every word Maxwell spoke & flawlessly sang. I was hoping to get 2 cds autographed.. maybe next time. Each time he is in my area, I will be at a Maxwell concert, more mesmerized by Maxwell's essence...

Truly one of the best, purest voices in R&B. His stage presence was awesome and he did almost like an acapella that really showed his range. I've seen him a couple times now and would highly recommend. Also, Marsha Ambrosius showed up which was a pleasant surprise because word was that she had to skip a couple tour dates due to being sick from a cold. Long story short, she killed it and the show was great!

Maxwell has officially announced The Serenade 2024 North American Tour . The iconic singer will be joined by two-time GRAMMY Award-winning R&B powerhouse Jazmine Sullivan and rising singer-songwriter October London. Kicking off September 14 at Hard Rock Hollywood, the expansive 25+ date tour sees the soul singer returning to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and more.

The Serenade Tour follows Maxwell’s remarkable recent years of touring. This past February, Maxwell took to the seas for the romantic, star-studded Urban Hang Suite Cruise. The four-night sold-out ocean cruise, which featured exclusive performances by Maxwell and special guests, treated guests to a romantic weekend aboard the Norwegian Pearl, stopping at Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas.

Maxwell’s return to the road, this tour also marks a reunion with Sullivan, who joined him on his Maxwell 08 Tour. Maxwell announces 2024 tour with Jazmine Sullivan

New York, NY: March 25, 2024  — Today, three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning multi platinum artist  Maxwell  announced  The Serenade 2024 North American Tour .  Maxwell  will be joined by special guest two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning R&B powerhouse  Jazmine Sullivan  and rising singer-songwriter  October London . Kicking off  September 14  at  Hard Rock Hollywood , the expansive 25+ date tour sees the soul singer returning to legendary arenas, such as Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and more.

The Serenade Tour  follows Maxwell’s remarkable recent years of touring, which saw him embark on the 2022  NIGHT Tour  with Anthony Hamilton and Joe, a sold-out 25-date international arena run – included in Pollstar’s 2022 list of “Top 20 Global Concert Tours. Additionally, last year, the R&B legend performed sold-out symphony dates at San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall (accompanied by the San Francisco Symphony), Wynn’s Encore Theater in Las Vegas, and Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center (accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra). The Kennedy Center dates were a return to the esteemed venue since Maxwell’s record-breaking 2019 symphony run. His prolific performances included a three-night engagement at Hollywood Bowl, which  Billboard  described as “rapturous” and a showcase of “Maxwell’s still-supple tenor and hypnotizing falsetto.”

In February, Maxwell took to the seas for the romantic, star-studded Urban Hang Suite Cruise. Maxwell Announces the Serenade Tour with Special Guest Jazmine Sullivan — See the Full List of Dates!

The two Grammy-winning R&B stars previously toured together in 2008

If you've ever wanted to see Maxwell or Jazmine Sullivan in concert, now's your chance to see both Grammy winners in one night.

On Monday, Maxwell announced more than two dozen concerts across North America as part of The Serenade Tour, which will feature Sullivan as a special guest as well as October London joining for the trek.

Kicking off Sept. 14 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, the tour will make stops in cities including Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, Las Vegas and more before wrapping Oct. 27 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

Tickets for the tour go on sale March 29 at 10 a.m. local time, and more information regarding each concert and available V.I.P. packages is available at Maxwell's website .

The "Fortunate" singer's upcoming Serenade Tour follows his string of sold-out 2023 performances alongside orchestras in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas. Earlier this year, he also performed on his Urban Hang Suite Cruise, which traveled to the Bahamas and featured live sets from multiple musicians.

Maxwell's most recent album, blacksummers'NIGHT , was released in 2016.

Sullivan, on the other hand, has actively toured festivals and performed one-off concerts over the past couple of years. Her latest project, Heaux Tales , came out in 2021.

The "Bust Your Windows" performer previously toured with Maxwell in 2008.

Maxwell Announces ‘The Serenade Tour’ With Jazmine Sullivan

Maxwell is heading back on the road. The Grammy-winning singer has announced the dates for The Serenade Tour  with special guest Jazmine Sullivan. Rising singer October London will also join them on the trek.

The Serenade Tour  kicks off Sept. 14 in Hollywood, Florida, at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.

From there, the trio of singers will make stops in Tampa, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago and New Orleans, among other cities. 

The tour will conclude Oct. 27 in Los Angeles, California, at Kia Forum. 

Tickets for The Serenade Tour go on sale Friday, March 29, at 10 a.m. local time. Exclusive meet & greet and VIP ticket packages are available for all tour dates.

The Serenade Tour  is Maxwell’s first major tour since the second leg of  The Night Tour   in fall 2022. Earlier that spring, he embarked on the first leg with special guests Anthony Hamilton and Joe. 

Since then, Maxwell has performed a Las Vegas residency , multiple symphony shows at Davies Symphony Hall in San Fransisco and The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. He also did a three-night run at Hollywood Bowl and hosted Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite Cruise , which featured additional performances by Musiq Soulchild , Ledisi , Gallant , Sabrina Claudio and more.

For fans wondering about Maxwell’s next album, the singer shared an update last July on X (formerly Twitter). “That_NIGHT music takes time; she dressing,” he wrote, confirming that  blacksummers’NIGHT  is still in the works. The long-awaited album will serve as the final installment of the trilogy, which began in 2009 with BLACKsummers’night. 

As for Sullivan, who first opened for  Maxwell 08 Tour , the Grammy winner headlined her  Heaux Tales Tour   in 2022. The tour was in support of her Grammy-winning album,  Heaux Tales ,  which was ranked No. 1 on Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of 2021 list. 

Her 2023 festival run included performances at Broccoli City Festival, AFROPUNK Brooklyn, Honeyland Festival, Something in the Water Festival and others.

October London wrapped up his headlining  Rebirth of Marvin Tour   earlier this month. The tour, which featured special guests The Shindellas and J. Brown, was in support of his debut album,  The Rebirth of Marvin.  The retro-soul album included London’s No. 1 hit “ Back to Your Place .” 

The Rebirth of Marvin  was among Rated R&B’s 25 Best R&B Albums of 2023 list. “Perhaps the most compelling thing about The Rebirth of Marvin is the recurring theme of putting love and compassion back at the core of R&B and soul,” wrote Anders Hare.

The Black Keys Announce Fall 2024 Tour Dates

On Friday, April 5, the Black Keys will release their new album, Ohio Players . That same day, tickets go on sale for their newly announced International Players Tour. The tour will find Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney performing across North America in the autumn. See the band’s tour schedule, including spring shows in the United Kingdom and Europe, below.

The Black Keys have previewed their follow-up to 2022’s Dropout Boogie with “ Beautiful People (Stay High) ,” “ I Forgot to Be Your Lover ,” and “ This Is Nowhere .” The band recently premiered This Is a Film About the Black Keys at the 2024 SXSW Film & TV Festival .

Dine Latino Restaurant Week returns this spring with free appetizers, desserts

Looking for an excuse to eat out and try good food? The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce announced that Dine Latino Restaurant Week will return this April.

From Sunday, April 7, to Saturday, April 13, you can try a wide array of culinary styles, including traditional Latino cuisine and more.

Event organizers said dozens of restaurants, including El Merkury, Boca Del Mar, and Izlas Latin Cuisine, will participate.

The seven-day event offers customers one complimentary appetizer or dessert with the purchase of two dinner entrees.

"Dine Latino Restaurant Week not only provides a platform for showcasing the culinary talents and cultural richness of Latino-owned establishments but also fosters vital support and recognition for these businesses within our communities,” President & CEO of GPHCC Jennifer Rodriguez said in a news release. “Throughout the week, we affirm our commitment to celebrating diversity, supporting local entrepreneurs, and embracing the flavors that are influencing restaurant kitchens across the region."

Additionally, the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Dine Latino Chef’s Tasting event with Juan Andres Placencia, chef-owner of Brazas BBQ Chicken, on Thursday, April 11, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can purchase tickets for his event here.
