Crowded House have announced new Dreamers Are Waiting Australian tour dates for this October and November, the acclaimed band adding to their recently rescheduled shows as the tour continues to grow.

The band’s April Dreamers Are Waiting Australian tour dates played to full houses, rapturous audiences, and widespread critical acclaim, including a star turn at Bluesfest during Easter.

It is only the band’s third Australian tour during the last 15 years.

Their Dreamers Are Waiting national tour will begin in Darwin on October 29 and end in Perth on November 27 with concerts in Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney and Melbourne in between.

Notably, there will be multiple regional stops such as Tamworth in northern NSW; Waurn Ponds south of Geelong in Victoria; Pokolbin in NSW's Hunter region and Wodonga in the NSW-Victorian border region.

The band will perform legendary anthems from a 35-year career including Don't Dream It's Over, Something So Strong and Weather With You , along with music from their latest album, Dreamers Are Waiting .

Having undergone many reincarnations, the band now comprises founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour, the original producer Mitchell Froom and Finn's sons Liam and Elroy.

The band's April Dreamers Are Waiting Australian tour dates played to full houses, rapturous audiences and widespread critical acclaim.

Crowded House announce a whole stack of new Australian shows for November

The band will hit regional centres and cities on their return

Crowded House were always coming back to Australia later in 2022. They weren't able to play their scheduled Perth dates due to capacity restrictions, then Neil Finn contracted COVID, forcing the cancellation of the final dates on their run around the country.

They're going to make the most of it while they're here, today announcing seven new shows across the country to go along with the rescheduled dates.

Hopefully by now you don't need us to tell you why seeing Crowded House live is a good idea. Their practically peerless catalogue of classic hits is reason enough, the fact that they remain one of the most endearing live bands you'll see makes it even better.

These new dates mean that fans in Darwin, Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane, Tamworth and Wollongong will have the opportunity to see the band in their backyard, while those in Geelong, Hobart and Canberra will have their patience rewarded with these rescheduled shows.

The tour comes on the back of last year's Dreamers Are Waiting , the seventh Crowded House album and first since 2010.

Original members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour remain in the band, with Finn's sons Elroy and Liam now onboard, as well as producer and keyboardist Mitchell Froom. Anyone who saw them on their recent Australian dates will assure you they remain an incredible live band.

Given this is only the third Australian Crowded House tour in 15 years, we recommend not missing this opportunity.

Go easy on your voice in the weeks leading up to these shows. You will need it if you're going to sing along to every word.

Crowded House Add Several Extra Dates To 2022 Australian Tour

Crowded House  cut short their Dreamers Are Waiting  Australian tour in April after the band’s leader, Neil Finn , tested positive for COVID-19. Seven shows, including dates in Canberra, the Hunter Valley, Hobart, Geelong, and Perth, were rescheduled for November. The band has now added a string of additional tour dates.

The rebooted run of shows begins on Saturday, 29th October at Darwin Convention Centre. Finn, his two sons, Elroy (drums) and Liam (guitar), Nick Seymour (bass), and Mitchell Froom (keyboards), have announced new dates in Cairns, Townsville, Mt. Cotton, Wollongong, Sydney, and Tamworth.

Tickets for rescheduled shows remain valid. Refunds are also available for those who can’t make it.

The shows in Mount Cotton (Saturday, 5th November), Hunter Valley (Saturday, 12th November), and Geelong (Saturday, 19th November) are A Day On the Green events. The Teskey Brothers, The Waifs, Boy & Bear, and Angus & Julia Stone will support. Full details below.

Crowded House Announce 2024 North American Tour

The band has also premiered "Teenage Summer" from their upcoming album, Gravity Stairs

Crowded House have confirmed a 2024 North American tour in support of their upcoming album, Gravity Stars .

The late summer jaunt kicks off in St. Augustine, FL on August 29th, with additional shows scheduled Atlanta, New York, Niagara Falls, Chicago, Omaha, Vail, and beyond.

Crowded House have confirmed a 2024 North American tour in support of their upcoming album, Gravity Stars .

The late summer jaunt kicks off in St. Augustine, FL on August 29th, with additional shows scheduled Atlanta, New York, Niagara Falls, Chicago, Omaha, Vail, and beyond.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale is set for Tuesday, April 16th (use code RIFF ), ahead of a public ticket on-sale on Friday, April 19th via Ticketmaster .

Once tickets are on sale, fans can look for deals or get tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Gravity Stairs is set for release on May 31st via BMG. After initially previewing the album with lead single “Oh Hi,”  the band has now unveiled “Teenage Summer,” which you can stream below.

April 26, 2022  – Today, iconic multi-platinum selling band  CROWDED HOUSE  officially announced their highly anticipated North American tour that follows on the heels of both sold-out Australian and European legs of the tour along with their seventh studio album  Dreamers Are Waiting  – Listen to the album  HERE . The new music as well as the tour features founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour along with producer and keyboardist Mitchell Froom, guitarist and singer Liam Finn and drummer Elroy Finn. 
 ‍ “Crowded House are delighted at long last to be able to play shows in North America. We have been picking up the pace recently as the world opens up and can’t wait present the show with this band lineup in absolute top form to the good folk of North America, from sea to shining sea,” said Neil Finn. 

Tickets for the tour will go on-sale to the general public starting Friday, April 29th at 10am local time, but check local listings.  American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets in select markets before the general public beginning Wednesday, April 27 at 10am local time through Thursday, April 28 at 10pm local time.

Crowded House  is a long standing and much-loved vehicle for the song writing talents of Neil Finn. Formed in Melbourne Australia in 1985 out the ashes of New Zealand’s Split Enz by Neil, Paul Hester and Nick Seymour, their eponymous self-titled debut album on Capitol Records went on to global success with the hits “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Something So Strong”. Those songs and many that followed are still resonating with audiences today, the former in particular being one of the most covered songs of the last 20 years. The band’s first incarnation lasted from 1985 through 1996 with 4 studio albums and enjoyed much success worldwide, becoming particularly beloved for their freewheeling and interactive live shows. This lineup said Farewell to the World on the steps of the Sydney Opera House in 1996 with a now legendary performance in front of 150,000 people. 
 
In 2007 following the tragic death of Paul Hester, Neil and Nick felt emotionally compelled to bring Crowded House back, to put some more good history, as they described it, into the story of the band.  Drafting in new drummer Matt Sherrod and with long time touring member Mark Hart they released the album “Time On Earth” to critical acclaim and toured the world. Another album, ‘Intriguer”, was recorded in 2009 and Crowded House was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2016, at the same time reprising its Farewell shows at the Sydney Opera House with 4 nights of stunning performances.
