Me: Yes I noticed it and noted also their all the techniques are modern and nothing were causing damage to environment.

My friend: Yes, their all the fertilizers also were eco-friendly.

Me: Some of our teachers also bought some plants and some fertilizers.

My friend: Yes their pet were also very healthy. They are providing all the good healthy and organic food to all the pets. I just like their service a lot.

Me: Yes they were talking to us also politely and answering all the questions very politely.

My friend: Yes it was such informative tour even we can apply their ideas in our daily life.

Me: Our agricultural tour was just awesome and everyone enjoyed a lot. Their ideas of planting trees and growing them by various tricks was so good.

My friend: I just loved it even I am thinking to grow some plants in my balcony.

Me: Yes do you remember their tricks of growing kitchen plants in a unique ways and providing them fertilizers in every 2 weeks.

My friend: Yes even we can also do that by taking some household vegetables. What you want to say?

Me: Yes why not surely we can do this.

My friend: Yes ok now it is time to say good bye.

Me: Yes it is too late now, ok see you tomorrow.

My friend: See you tomorrow in school till then we have to complete tour report.

From September 16-23, 2023, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation’s Washington, DC office hosted ten anti-corruption experts for a week of meetings in Washington and Cleveland, OH. The delegation featured politicians, journalists, civil society leaders, and academics. During the eight-day trip, the delegation met with a wide range of experts, including federal and local government agencies, think tanks, and anti-money laundering experts.

Transatlantic Dialogue Political Professionals Study Tour

The FNF Transatlantic Dialogue (TAD) conducted its annual study tour program from June 18th-25th. This year’s program saw participants exploring the political, cultural, and economic landscapes of Upper Bavaria, Munich, and Berlin, and focused itself around the motto “Germany’s Political and Economic Landscape in Times of Zeitenwende”. The professional expertise of the participants ranged from industry to government affairs.

Reshape Europe Hackathon

The Friedrich Naumann Foundation North America hosted its Reshape Europe Hackathon in Washington, DC, from May 13 to 17, 2023, with the theme "How can we make the EU more visible in the United States?". Four two-person teams conceptualized and proposed methods to achieve this goal. They were given three days to work on their proposals, after which they presented their finished product to the judging panel, and a winning team was selected.

This years Transatlantic Dialogue Conference took place April 13th through April 16th in Coral Gables, Florida. The conference was held for former participants of the Transatlantic Dialogue Program’s yearly study tours to Germany. China Study Tour Program

The China Study Tour Program is a 10-day guided program that takes students to Beijing and two other cities in China. 

The program is open to graduate students from all disciplines interested in deepening their understanding of China. During this immersion experience, participants conduct site visits and meet with national and local government officials and leaders from business, society, and the academy. Students also have opportunities to exchange views with peers from leading Chinese universities.

Three groups of Georgetown graduates students have visited cities across China in 2017 , 2018 , and 2019 . They held meetings with officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, scholars, and students from a variety of organizations including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, China's Central Commission of Military, Baidu Corporation, Alibaba Group, Shanghai Institute for International Studies, as well as Peking University and Xiamen University, among others.

The study tour is organized by the China-United States Exchange Foundation in Hong Kong with themes developed by Georgetown faculty. The program accepts applications December through February of each year, with trips taking place in June. Further information will be announced on the Georgetown U.S.-China Initiative website.

International Study Tour

22 September 2022 The Open Dialogue Centre (ODC) will embark on an international study tour on 26 September 2022 to learn more about Open Dialogue approaches across Europe and North America.

The month-long tour will see the ODC team visiting key services implementing Open Dialogue across Denmark, Norway, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Boston, Belmont, Vermont, and Atlanta. 

The main objectives of the tour are to learn from international experiences of implementing Open Dialogue approaches and how we can apply these learnings in Australia. 

The team seeks to better understand how training in Open Dialogue provides professional teams with the support required to implement changes to their practice and, more broadly, across the mental health sector. 

The team will also learn how our international colleagues have evaluated the impact of Open Dialogue on individuals, their families, and their organisations. These learnings will help implement mental health support and best practice in Australia.

Although Open Dialogue has been primarily used for crisis and acute mental health care internationally, we would like to learn if Open Dialogue has been trialed within non-mental health settings, and if so, how the approach has been received.

We recognise that Open Dialogue can be highly beneficial for non-mental health organisations (education sector, at-risk youth, or homelessness organisations) that support young people, often through early intervention approaches. With our extended focus in this space, we look forward to also sharing our insights and work of ODC and some of our partners in Australia.

This tour will enhance our alliance with the international Open Dialogue network, enabling us to accelerate the adoption of an Open Dialogue approach in a way that maintains integrity to its principles while sharing our learnings with our Australian partners.

Social Cohesion Call for Applications

The American Council on Germany is currently accepting applications for the third year of the Study Tour on Social Cohesion. This project brings together diverse groups of young professionals from both sides of the Atlantic for a two-part exchange on how communities strive to be more equitable.

Although socio-economic divisions are prevalent throughout the United States and Germany, social cohesion is essential for creating resilient, healthy, and thriving societies. It enhances the overall quality of life for individuals and contributes to the sustainable development of communities. Through this exchange, participants meet with community organizations, local government officials, and university professionals to discuss how they contribute to the diversity, equity, and inclusion within their community.

The ACG will convene a group of approximately 20 practitioners – ten from each country. The group will meet once in Germany and once in the United States for two one-week-long study tours designed to focus on how communities tackle social inequity and provide better lives for their citizens. This exchange program is designed to help create a new forum for transatlantic dialogue around these issues.

The first study tour will be from June 9 to 15, 2024, in Erfurt and Frankfurt. The second will be in Atlanta and Denver from September 15 to 21, 2024. Participants must be able to commit to both parts of the program.

Participants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents living in the United States or Europeans living in Germany. They must sincerely commit to furthering transatlantic relations while promoting DEIA issues in their community. Individuals with urban development experience and community engagement are encouraged to apply.

If selected to participate in this program, individuals must pay a participation fee of €500 (approximately $540). All other program-related expenses, such as travel, accommodation, and meals, are covered. The total estimated per-participant value of the program is over $12,000, which is funded by the American Council on Germany and the grant from the Transatlantic Program of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through funds of the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

The application due date is March 8, 2024

Candidates for the study tour must:

• Either be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident living in the United States or a European citizen living in Germany.
• Be in the relatively early stages of their career.
• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience).
• Have a sincere commitment to furthering the transatlantic relationship and DEIA.

To apply, please submit the following:

• A one- to two-page personal statement outlining why you are interested in participating in this program.
• A current resume or CV.
• Two letters of recommendation.

Sabila : I am going to ask him for some help. But I am too much worried about this. You know the exam is knocking at the door and I am not prepared at all for this subject.  

Sneha : You still have lots of time to clear your doubts. I think you can do that; you are a very good student.  

Sabila : Thanks, dear. I am hoping so.  

Sneha : What’s about English?

Sabila : I am pretty much preparing for English and I think I will do well in this subject.  

Sneha : That’s very good.

Sabila : What about you? How’s your study going?  

Sneha : Yeah it’s going good. I am giving some extra time for science . You know I am pretty weak in this subject.

Sabila : Oh, I hope you will do great in this subject too. How many hours do you study in a day?  

Sneha : After the classes and tuitions, I spend almost three hours a day in my reading room . You know, I have to spend most of my time intuition.

Sabila : Oh I see. I spend around four hours in study and I don’t go for any tuition. Do you think I need to read more?  

Sneha : I think that’s enough if you are paying proper attention to your lesson.

Sabila : Yeah, I think so. Do you have any suggestions or tips for getting a better focus on the study?  

Sneha : I love to study in the early morning. If you can rise early , then you can do that too. I think that’s the best time for focusing on something.

Sabila : That’s a very good suggestion. I will try that. Thank you so much for your tips.

Israel Study Tour

Russell Berrie Fellows travel to Israel for a 10-day tour to study at the Shalom Hartman Institute , renowned for its combination of rigorous Jewish scholarship, commitment to pluralism and interfaith dialogue.

In addition to academic seminars, Russell Berrie Fellows also visit sacred sites in the Holy Land.

The study tour program includes experience at the sacred sites of all three Abrahamic religions who hold Jerusalem dear, as well as meetings with religious leaders.

The Jerusalem seminar taught me how to think critically through traditional Judaic methods. Our chavruta study involved more questions than answers and through it we learned how to approach pluralism and interreligious dialogue from another religious background, not just through Christianity.

Planning a study tour

After nearly a year of preparing and planning for the Peru Study Tour, things are finally starting to come together.  As I look back it seems that this trip has come together better than even I could have imagined.

When Alonso, my study tour leader partner, asked me to help him plan this trip I really had no idea what the process would entail. We began by submitting a 25 page tour proposal that was evaluated by the Global Business Center (GBC) last May.  We knew we were up against some other great teams and that the GBC would only select a handful of us to lead tours.  After the GBC review process, we were invited to interview with the GBC.  We diligently prepared for this step of the process by meeting with past tour leaders and reviewing anticipated interview questions. Within just a few short weeks we discovered our tour had been selected and we were on our way to Peru!

However, as with most things in life, there were a few hurdles we still had to cross. First, we had to do some marketing in order to ensure students knew about our tour.  We attended several events including TGs, formal GBC events, and informal MBAA events to get the word out.  But, when the deadline for student enrollment rolled around we were still short students and needed to sign up more students or risk cancelling the tour.  We decided to focus our efforts on 1 st Year Full-Time MBA students and reached them by visiting classes and meeting with them one-on-one.  Within a couple of weeks we had enough students to continue on with our trip.

Another obstacle we still had to overcome was delivering on the great tour we had sold to the GBC and the students.  It was much easier to write down great ideas than implement them.  Between different time zones, languages and cultures we had our hands full.  But, we were persistent and diligent with our efforts to reach companies we wanted to visit. We also worked with a travel agency to help us plan historical, educational, and recreational tours.  They also helped us plan the logistics including transportation and hotels.  Most importantly, Alonso and I worked together to balance the workload and stay positive when the outcome was uncertain.

As I look back over the last nine months I think of all we have accomplished…and, what is still to come.  We leave for Peru on March 12 th and I know that this leaves us little time to solidify plans. With mid-terms, spring registration, work, family, and finals all happening between now and then I must admit the task seems insurmountable.  Then I think about the Peruvian beaches we will visit near Ica, the tour of the historical district in Lima, going out to dinner on the colorful streets of Barranco, and visiting one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Machu Picchu with old friends and new friends….and I realize that it will all be worth it and I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world.

Overview : In this post, let us look at a dialogue between two friends about their habits of study . Each student has a different type of pattern to study, to allocate their time to study, and their choices; if they can focus more on studying alone or if they can focus more while studying in groups, whether with friends or study groups.

It does not matter how you study unless you are determined to study with full concentration, and focus and are understanding the concepts very well. The ultimate goal while studying is always to understand the material better and better while strengthening the core concepts. Ultimately, having a better study schedule and habit ensures that you understand well and write the best answers in your examinations.

Now, let us look at a dialogue between two friends about their studying habits .

Friend 1: Hey, how far have you reached with the syllabus?

Friend 2: Oh, don’t ask. All my friends in the study group don’t want to come together to study for the exams.

Friend 1: Are they aware that the exams are starting next month? And these are final exams?

Friend 2: Yes, they are aware of it.

Friend 1: So, what are you going to do now?

Friend 2 : I have no idea. By the way, how far have you reached with the syllabus?

Friend 1: Umm…nothing much. I have started solving some question papers and I am following my studying pattern. That’s it!

Friend 2: That’s not it. At least you have started studying. I haven’t even taken a look at the books.

Friend 1 : Oh, then why don’t you study alone? Did you know that you can actually study much better and with full concentration while you study alone?

Friend 2: How is that? I have always studied with my study group.

Friend 1 : Yes, I know that. But, now that they are not bothered to study in a group, at least you can start studying something and see if you are improving your way to study. The least you can do is give it a try. There is no harm in it!

Friend 2: Yes, that is true. But, I don’t know how to begin.

Friend 1: Don’t worry. I’ll tell you. First, you have to do is choose a quiet place where there is no disturbance, and there is good sunlight.

Friend 2: What does sunlight have to do with it? Hahaha…

Friend 1: Oh it is important to set a mood for studying if you wish to study for long. Only then you will feel like studying and you will concentrate on it.

Friend 2: Oh, I never heard of that. Okay, go on.

Friend 1 : Okay, then you have to set up your study table, and keep it clean and decluttered all the time. This is because you will feel fresh all the time when you see your clean table.

Friend 2: That makes sense.

Friend 1: Next, you make notes of all the important topics and sentences you come around, Make bullet points of them and make a separate notebook to revise from it the moment before giving exams.

Friend 2: My God, you have it all sorted.

Friend 1: Thanks! Next, one of the important things to keep in mind is that take a 5-minute break every 2o minutes, and don’t study for hours and hours continuously. Otherwise, you will bore yourself and you will feel lazy to go back to your table.

Friend 2 : Alright. What’s next? Is there anything I can do to relax my mind throughout the studying process?

Friend 1 : Of course there is. You can take a walk outside, or you can read a book, or cook some snacks. But try not to browse through your phone. Use your phone only after you have finished studying for the day or when you are having your lunch or dinner.

Friend 2: That’s good. I like this idea. But, tell me one thing so that I can believe in your studying habit and start practicing them.

Friend 1 : Sure, ask anything.

Friend 2: What improvement have you seen in your studying style? Is it good grades, or understanding the concepts much better or what?

Friend 1 : Yes, I have seen a lot of improvement. Definitely, my grades have shot up, and having this studying habit is like setting up a daily routine and timetable for myself. I am concentrating more, and the best part is that I am only dependent on myself to study.

Friend 2 : How is that? What if you find a topic that is difficult?

Friend 1 : As I said, I make my own notes and I make them in simple language. So I don’t have to panic before giving exams. I can just brush up on my notes.

Friend 2 : Okay, and?

Friend 1 : And, my routine allows me perfect time slots to study, relax, browse through my phone or YouTube or take walks to relax my mind.

Friend 2: But, is it okay if I choose just the mornings for myself? I don’t like to study in the morning.

Friend 1 : Yes, it is okay. It is important to choose a particular time slot to study when you feel like studying. Otherwise, it won’t make any sense to study when you just don’t feel like it.

Friend 2: Yes, it will be a waste of time then!

Friend 1: Exactly. So, what do you say?

Friend 2: Your studying habit sounds good. I will give it a try from today itself!

Friend 1: That’s amazing!

Friend 2: Thanks buddy!

Friend 1: Anytime!

Short Composition on A Study Tour

The study tour is a part and parcel of knowledge and education. It spreads the horizon of our mind and experience. our school organization study tour for us. I greeted this arrangement.

On the first day of our tour, we went to Mainamati and visited Lalmai-Manamati range of hills, Shalban Bihar, Ananda Bihar and the Museum. We found the museum decorated with bronze statues. They were the achievements of pala reign in Bangla.

On the second day, we reached Cox’s Bazar sea-beach. I was surprised to see the beautiful scenery of the sea-beach. We walked along the beach and enjoyed the musical murmuring sound of the sea.

We passed the next three days in the hilly areas of Rangamati and Bandarban and Khagrachari. We climbed up several hills and from the top of the hills, observed the beauty and splendour of the hilly areas.

On the 6th and 7th day we visited Chittagong seaports and Karnafuli Electricity Project at Kaptai. These places also offered us much practical knowledge; experience and pleasure.

My study tour opened a new world before my eyes. It has deepened and broadened my knowledge.
