WE ARE FROM STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
"Since the previous record WIRED, we have been fortunate enough to be able to play to a lot of different audiences all over the world.
No matter where we are, we always find a way to connect with people through those initial roots of rock ‘n roll music.
The new record MEGALOMANIUM is precisely that: it’s Eclipse paying homage to the full scope that is our ever-growing fan base through the elements that have become staples in the band’s catalog, but also daring to venture into new uncharted territories and sounds.
If WIRED was a collection of our favorite 11 beers at the time, MEGALOMANIUM is an album riddled with the full DNA of the band, a fearless dive into the deep end of the pool - or in this case - the lake Siljan surrounding the island in the middle of Sweden where we record all our music.”
Over the last 10 years, the band has been reaching an ever-growing audience with each album release thanks to their stellar songwriting and high energy performances.
Their last tours have brought them to stages in Japan, Australia, The U.S. and all over Europe including some of the world’s largest heavy rock festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Graspop and Sweden Rock.
At its core, Eclipse is a heavy rock band with massive hooks, and with an appeal that transcends genres.
In addition to their numerous headline tours, Eclipse has also opened for a wide range of bands over the years including Aerosmith, My Chemical Romance and Scorpions.
MEGALOMANIUM is released September 1, 2023.

ECLIPSE Announce New Album ‘Megalomanium’ Set for Release on September 1st
New Single “The Hardest Part is Losing You” + Music Video Out Today!
European Headlining Tour Set to Launch September 1st in Bochum, Germany
Swedish rockers ECLIPSE have announced the upcoming release of their tenth studio album, ‘ Megalomanium ‘, on September 1, 2023. The first single from the album, “ The Hardest Part Is Losing You ,” is out today accompanied by a music video.
ECLIPSE will be performing headlining shows and various festivals throughout the summer and into the fall as well as a European tour starting September 1st in Bochum, Germany.
Singer Erik Mårtensson explains the meaning behind the album title:
“ Since the previous record ‘ Wired ‘, we have been fortunate enough to be able to play to a lot of different audiences all over the world. No matter where we are, we always find a way to connect with people through those initial roots of rock ‘n roll music. ‘Megalomanium’ is precisely that: it’s ECLIPSE paying homage to the full scope that is our ever-growing fan base, through the elements that have become staples in the band’s catalog, and also daring to venture into new uncharted territories and sounds. If ‘Wired’ was a collection of our favorite 11 beers at the time, ‘ Megalomanium ‘ is an album riddled with the full DNA of the band, a fearless dive into the deep end of the pool – or in this case – the lake Siljan surrounding the island in the middle of Sweden where we record all our music .”
“ The last three or four years have definitely broadened the scope of what we feel we are capable of. Fueled by recent years’ success we started writing and recording our most ambitious album to date, ‘Megalomanium’. The title is, of course, intended to be a little tongue-in-cheek, but in all fairness, we entered the studio this time with a LOT of confidence in terms of what ECLIPSE is and could be. ”

Even better, they have continuously invited a bunch of their friends along the way. We see proof of that every night .”
The proof is also in the numbers. ECLIPSE has generated well over 100 million streams online and approximately half a million monthly listeners across the major music services, making them one of biggest rock bands to come out of Sweden in recent years.

Gentlemen how about a visit to Seattle where rock still lives. Better yet how about a W.E.T. Tour. That way we could get some WOA, Eclipse, Talisman, and W.E.T. music. You all obviously get along. Talk about a killer tour.

A Cappella vocal group Eclipse 6 highlights the world’s longing for miracles with the plea, “O come, Immanuel.” To those who wait, hunger, pray, and wander, they sing, “Behold your King.” The video portrays how the miracles of healing performed by Jesus Christ during His ministry can be experienced today by those waiting for the coming of Immanuel. To the hearts that long for a little bit of hope, the group declares, “The Light of the World is here.”

How Cher and Foreigner Finally Became Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees After Blasting Organization
The 2024 class, which includes both artists, was announced on Sunday, April 21 during 'American Idol' where the Top 14 performed their songs

Cher and Foreigner becoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees might come as a surprise given their comments in the past.
While the pop icon, 77, and British-American rockers will be a part of the 2024 class, they haven't minced their words about the organization in the past.
In December 2023, Cher addressed being snubbed from the prestigious museum in Cleveland during an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show .
"You know what, I wouldn't be in it now if they gave me a million dollars," she told host Kelly Clarkson . "I'm never going to change my mind."
Cher added: "They can just go you-know-what themselves."
Theo Wargo/Getty
At the time, PEOPLE reached out to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for comment.
Clarkson was surprised by the "Believe" singer's exclusion from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
"Wait, are you serious?" the 41-year-old musician asked Cher, as members of the studio audience gasped. "That is brand new information for me."
"I'm not... kidding you," said the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again star. "I was about to say something else. I was about to say s---ting you!"
In August 2023, former Foreigner singer Lou Gramm opened up to The Rock Shop with Ralph about a "personal vendetta" that has prevented the band from earning a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination, per Loudwire.
"It's not anything to do with our music or the amount of hits or notoriety or anything like that. It's a personal thing that we're not in there," he told the outlet.
Gramm, 71, added: "It's a personal vendetta between the gentleman who owns Rolling Stone and Mick [Jones]. It's very juvenile, the whole thing, and I don't think it's gonna get any better. I think it's gonna stay that way. I think we're being made an example of."
When asked if he believed the band should be inducted, he replied: "Of course I do. The original Foreigner [lineup]. I put an exclamation point at the end of that [and it's not something] we need to talk about."
On April Fool's Day last year, Foreigner made a plea for induction to the Rock Hall on social media as a joke.
"In an unprecedented move, the entire board of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame met especially to nominate Foreigner. The board recognized that Mick Jones’ and Foreigner’s major contribution to music over the years warranted a very special place in the history of the Hall of Fame. Said manager Phil Carson, 'Needless to say, we are all delighted to learn of this unique privilege. I believe that the entire board realized that Foreigner had as many hits as Fleetwood Mac, just one less than the Eagles, and more than Journey and many other Hall Of Fame alumni. We are greatly looking forward to the induction ceremony," read a message on their site.
The following day, their manager PA day later, Carson followed up on the post saying that will the post was meant to be funny, there was some truth to the fact that the band should be considered as inductees.
"Foreigner should be in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame," he wrote, per Loudwire. "Mick Jones' groundbreaking song writing and production skills coupled with music sales and performances that eclipse most of their contemporaries should be enough to warrant Foreigner’s nomination and Mick founded Foreigner in 1977 and went on to conquer the world with as many Billboard top ten hits as Fleetwood Mac, just one less than the Eagles, and more than Journey and most of the heritage band Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame alumni. He created the current version of Foreigner in 2005 and chose the amazing Kelly Hansen as the lead singer to breathe new life into the songs he wrote and co-wrote."
On Monday, April 22, Foreigner founder Mick Jones said he was "thrilled" to learn of the band's nomination in a statement.
"This confirmation of our coming membership in the home of my peers is a priceless highlight of my career," he said. "October 19th will be an emotional day for me, Lou, Al, Dennis, and Rick, and a very special moment for the families of Ian and Ed. The leadership of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Chairman, John Sykes, and Nominating Committee Chairman, Rick Krim, has brought a new era of inclusivity and relevance that reflects all that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame should be, and we are proud to become a part of it. Long may it continue.”

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — It looks like the third time is the charm as the 2024 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage festival prepares, again, for The Rolling Stones to perform.
The festival, which spans two weekends, opened Thursday with dozens of acts playing daily on 14 stages spread throughout the historic Fair Grounds race course. The Stones play next Thursday, May 2, tickets for which have long been sold out.
In 2019, festival organizers thought they had landed the legendary rock band, but the appearance was canceled because lead singer Mick Jagger had heart surgery. They tried again in 2021, but a surge in COVID-19 cases ultimately forced the fest to cancel.
Now, says festival producer Quint Davis, “It’s gonna be special.”
This will be the first time the Stones play Jazz Fest.
Opening day acts include rock bands Widespread Panic and The Beach Boys, reggae artist Stephen Marley and jazz vocalist John Boutte.
“The talent is great, the weather is projected to be good and people’s expectations are going to be met,” Davis said.
Blue skies, sunshine and temperatures in the 80s were forecast for opening day Thursday. Long lines of people were seen patiently waiting to buy big cups of iced tea, lemonade and coffee. Umbrellas, big hats and sunglasses were the accessories of the day.
Similar weather was expected for the rest of the first weekend, which runs through Sunday and showcases performances by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jon Batiste, country megastar Chris Stapleton, R&B singer Fantasia, rock band Heart, Cajun fiddler Amanda Shaw and The Cute Guys, jazz pianist Patrice Rushen, and blues and folk artist Ruthie Foster.
Walter Agnew of Round Lake, New York, said attending the festival had been on his bucket list since he retired from working at a chemical plant in 2020.
“COVID canceled my trip then but I finally made it here for the 2022 festival — and I came last year. This will be my third in a row,” he said.
Agnew said he’s looking forward to Stapleton’s performance on Saturday and Heart’s on Sunday — and of course The Rolling Stones next week but “you really can’t go wrong by any of the acts.”
“I’m just amazed at how they’re able to put all this entertainment together in one spot,” he said. “Of course it’s going to be good.”
Leona Reed, a Los Angeles resident, was with friends attending her first jazz festival.
“Everybody’s friendly,” she said. “I like the fact that there’s art and the artists are there.” She continued, “I love the fact that they honor each type of music and you know, that’s what’s going to bring us all together as a people.”
Ginger Schell, a New Orleans local, is a regular Jazz Fest attendee. Asked why she continues to return, Schell said laughing, “It’s everything. It’s the music. It’s the food. It’s the music!”
She said she and her family won’t be able to see next week’s performance by The Stones, noting the tickets were out of her budget.
“But we generally don’t come for any one act in particular,” she said. “We just park our gear in a spot in front of the festival stage and wander throughout the grounds and look forward to being surprised.”
Anticipation for the Stones’ performance is palpable, Davis said.
“All I’m hearing is ‘How can I get a ticket?’” he said of fans trying to see the marquee performance. “Unfortunately for some, that day sold out in like a day-and-a-half after tickets went on sale. I think people have just waited so long for this.”
The Rolling Stones in October released “ Hackney Diamonds ,” their first album of original material since 2005 and their first without drummer Charlie Watts, who died in 2021. Though he hasn’t seen a set list, Davis said fans can expect to hear a mix of greatest hits and new releases. No special guests are expected to perform with the Rolling Stones, but Davis said “never say never.”
“Just expect euphoria,” he said laughing. “I think maybe we’re going to need some ambulances on site because people are going to spontaneously combust from the excitement. And, they’re playing in a daylight event. They’re gonna be able to make eye contact with the audience. That’s going to create a really special bond.”
Acts on the festival’s 14 stages usually play simultaneously beginning when gates open at 11 a.m. and continuing until the music ends at 7 p.m. But the other stages will shut down next week when the Stones take the stage.
“We didn’t want to have 13 empty stages and no people in front of them when the Stones start singing favorites like '(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ and ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash,’” Davis said. “Everyone who bought a ticket for that day primarily bought one to see The Stones.”
Davis said tickets for the festival’s other days remain available and can be purchased online through their website.
Much of Jazz Fest celebrates the Indigenous music and culture of New Orleans and Louisiana but the music encompasses nearly every style imaginable: blues, R&B, gospel, Cajun, Zydeco, Afro-Caribbean, folk, Latin, rock, rap, contemporary and traditional jazz, country, bluegrass and everything in between.
Colombia’s rhythms, from music to dance and food, also will be highlighted this year as part of the festival’s cultural exchange. Close to 200 Colombian artists are scheduled to participate, including headliners Bomba Estéreo on Saturday, ChocQuibTown’s lead singer Goyo in a guest appearance with local band ÌFÉ on Sunday, and salsa legends Grupo Niche closing the celebration on May 5.
And don’t forget the food. During the festival, food available on site includes crawfish bread, pecan catfish meuniere and catfish almondine, cochon de lait and turducken po-boys, boudin, crawfish étouffée, jambalaya, crawfish Monica and shrimp and grits.
