What will you see?

An architectural sculpture.

The frontage of Casa Mila is built of large blocks of limestone. These blocks up to the first floor above the Milas’ residence come from the Garraf and from the quarry in Vilafranca for the upper floors. The façades of La Pedrera call to mind the movement of the sea, while the twisted iron of the railings is reminiscent of kelp. Gaudi believed that the balconies on the Carrer de Provença façade needed to jut out further to create areas of shade, thereby screening the apartments, as this side of the building is more exposed to the sun during the daytime.

The Flower Courtyard

In full colour.

The walls of the Flower Courtyard, in Passeig de Gràcia, are a real spectacle of shapes, light and colours contrasting with the sober facade. The colour is provided by the wall paintings decorating it, mostly with floral motifs. Hundreds of flowers come to life on the ceiling of the spectacular staircase that climbs up to the main floor like a winding root.

The Whale Attic

Discover gaudí in a magical space.

In the attic of the Milà House, it hosts the Gaudí Exhibition where there used to be washrooms and junk rooms. That is why you can see so many small windows. This space, divided into seven areas, one of which is devoted entirely to La Pedrera, contains the only exhibition devoted to Gaudí and all his work. A visit to the Gaudí exhibition allows you to understand the natural inspirations and keys to the architect’s genius and discover them in depth. Formed by 270 catenary arches of flat brick, inside it resembles the interior of a great living being, like a whale. There, you will find models and drawings, objects and designs, photographs and videos.

The Warrior Rooftop

A unique achievement that defies classification.

With the same undulating shape as the facade, the roof terrace of the Milà House is a unique space with different functional elements and great artistic strength. They are stairwell covers, ventilation towers and chimneys standing out as warrior guardians of La Pedrera.

On the Roof-terrace of La Pedrera, Gaudi combined art and architecture to create an unparalleled, fascinating and evocative space.

You will see spectacular views of Barcelona at night. 360º views of the whole city.

The Butterfly Courtyard

Living nature .

At the Milà House, the Butterfly Courtyard, which leads off Carrer Provença is a place where everything comes to life. It lives; it breathes, and fantastic creatives live there. The outstanding feature is a huge butterfly that has settled on the lintel between inside and the street: a huge swallowtail. Higher up, enveloping the staircase that leads to the main floor, another butterfly, or some kind of fantastic insect, is resting. A huge insect wing takes flight, perpetually turning a thousand different colours.

At the end of the tour, in the butterfly patio, a glass of cava and sweets will be waiting for you to end this magical evening.

We have done many different city walking tours and this one was more like ‘walking around with a local friend’ than a specific scheduled tour. Johnathan shared a lot of information of different architecture, restaurants, and back alley ways that we would have likely not ventured down on our own (not due to safety, but because we would have likely never found them!). Thanks a lot for the great tour and for making our time in Barcelona a memorable one.

Guide had excellent knowledge and was very passionate about the city and the history. Alan was able to adapt the tour to our interests and made fir a great day.

Our guide Federico was Fantastic!!! He showed us all the highlights of the city and provided their backgrounds. Would highly recommend!!

Things To Do At Night

Those who go to bed early in Spain miss half the fun! We share our 21 favourite things to do in Barcelona at night, from classy cultural experiences to alcohol-fuelled nocturnal naughtiness… as well as some fun activities and tours.

Editor’s Pick – Casa Mila by Night | Flamenco Show | Paella Class | Sunset Cruise

What is there to do in Barcelona after the sun goes down? Well bon vivants keen to sample the local nightlife will certainly find plenty to occupy them (and will be well catered for on this list!), but what about those refined folk who want to make the most of their evenings in the Catalan capital?

Well, don’t worry, Barcelona by night has plenty to offer culturally curious travellers, from an evening at the opera, to light shows on the rooftops of Gaudi’s most famous buildings, and even a few more intriguing surprises – like a ghost tour around the Gothic Quarter.

The Catalan capital is not quite what you’d call a 24 hour city (bars close around 2-3am), but it’s no early-to-bed prude either, and even the kids stay up until midnight in these parts, so you’ve got no excuse for staying up a little later and taking advantage of everything The Great Enchantress has to offer after dusk.

To make this list more user-friendly, I’m going to put my suggestions in order of sophistication, starting with the most civilised first and finishing with several debauched booze ups that would shock the good people of Sodom and Gomorrah. I leave it up to you when you stop reading…

Things To Do in Barcelona

25 of the best things to do in barcelona at night.

Wondering what to do in Barcelona at night?  After dark, a different side of the city comes to life.  Barcelona has a buzzing nightlife scene, and there are plenty of things to do in Barcelona at night, from evening strolls to cultural experiences and cocktails at some of the best bars in the world! Here are some of the best things to do in Barcelona in the evening and into the night:

A Note on Safety in Barcelona at Nighttime

While Barcelona is generally a very safe city, you should still take care when exploring Barcelona after dark and be aware of your surroundings.

If you are visiting Barcelona alone , stick to well-lit areas where there are plenty of people around.

Be aware of pickpockets at all times, especially in busy areas like La Rambla and anywhere with crowds.

Do not get so drunk you don’t know what you are doing – inebriated tourists are easy targets for thieves.  Under no circumstances urinate in the street, you can get arrested and fined.

The same goes for drinking in the street – while you will probably see a lot of people drinking cans of beer on the streets of Barcelona it is illegal and you can get a fine of up to €600.  That won’t stop people trying to sell you beer with the usual offer of “cerveza beer”, but don’t be tempted.

At the very least be subtle about it, in general, if you’re not flaunting it or making a nuisance of yourself police often turn a blind eye.

Know Before You Go to Barcelona

Before travelling to Barcelona, make sure you book accommodation and popular attractions ASAP as hotels and tickets can sell out.

1. Montserrat Tour with Optional Lunch & Wine Tasting

2. Girona, Figueres and Dalí Museum Day Tour

3. Girona and Costa Brava Full-Day Tour

🛌 MY FAVOURITE HOTELS IN BARCELONA:

$$:  H10 Madison 4* Sup - top location with rooftop pool & view of the Gothic Cathedral

$ : Chic & Basic Lemon Boutique Hotel - great value hotel near Plaça Catalunya

❗BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETS❗

Although Barcelona is a safe city, pickpockets are a problem here, particularly in popular tourist areas and on the metro.  Use a  theft-proof backpack and consider getting some hidden-pocket clothing to keep your belongings safe.

Sunset in Barcelona from the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Tibidabo

Watch the Sunset

With Barcelona being on the east coast of Spain, sadly you won’t get to watch the sun go down in Barcelona, but you can enjoy the beautiful colours changing in the sky. The times for sunset vary quite a lot during the year, so check the exact time of sunset during your visit to make your plans properly.

Some of the best spots to watch the sunset in Barcelona include:

  • Montjuic and the Olympic Park
  • The Bunkers at El Carmel – a classic spot for romantic dates
  • Tibidabo – get some of the best views of Barcelona from the mountain, and go up the towers of the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for €5 for a different perspective
  • Any number of rooftop bars and terraces
  • The beach or on a boat for a sunset cruise

Small-Group Catamaran Cruise with Sunset Option

  • Depart from Marina Vela, the port next to Barceloneta
  • Sail on a spacious catamaran
  • Enjoy the sunset from the water as you cruise
  • Admire incredible views of the Barcelona skyline from the sea
  • Enjoy a drink and appetizer included
  • No transport included
  • Other drinks are available for purchase

Have a Drink on a Rooftop Bar

One of the best things to do in Barcelona at night is to have a drink at a rooftop bar to watch the sunset and then see the city light up.  Barcelona has lots of rooftop bars with stunning views of iconic landmarks and the city. They can be a great place to relax and enjoy some drinks and tapas, especially in the summer when it is lovely and warm.

Some of the best rooftop bars in Barcelona include the Skybar at the Grand Hotel Central, the La Isabela terrace at the Hotel 1898, and the Eclipse at the W Hotel.

Enjoy a Flamenco show

While Flamenco originated in Andalusia, it is still a wonderful experience to see a live flamenco show in Barcelona .  Barcelona is home to several flamenco tablaos where you can enjoy an authentic flamenco performance while sipping on some drinks and even having dinner after the show.

Flamenco Show at Tablao Flamenco Cordobes

  • Attend an authentic flamenco show in a unique environment
  • Watch internationally-renowned dancers take to the stage
  • 1-hour flamenco show
  • 1 drink during the show (wine, beer, sangria, cava, or soft drink)
  • Taste regional dishes of Spain (if dinner option selected)
  • Tapas Tasting (if option selected)

A Flamenco Performance at Tarantos - What to do in Barcelona at Night

Explore the Gothic Quarter

The Gothic Quarter is my favourite neighbourhood in Barcelona, full of narrow streets and historic buildings and pretty plaças to have a seat and watch the world go by. In the evening, El Gótic takes on a magical atmosphere, so stroll through the streets and enjoy the ambience of Old Town Barcelona by night.

Go on a Night Tour

Barcelona’s landmarks look even more stunning when lit up after dark. Join a night tour and explore the most iconic monuments in Barcelona at night, like the Sagrada Familia, the Gothic Cathedral and Casa Batlló as well as explore Barcelona’s neighbourhoods with a guide.

Explore hidden corners of Barcelona, listen to ghost stories , learn about Barcelona’s dark side , or hop on your bike to see the best of Barcelona by night on two wheels.

Barcelona Night Bike Tour

  • Discover the mysterious streets of Barcelona by moonlight
  • Explore different neighbourhoods
  • Sample cava and see beautiful views of the city at night
  • Stop for tapas
  • Includes bicycle and helmet hire
  • Cost of Tapas isn’t included but you can purchase what you like

Have a Nighttime Experience

Many of the popular tourist attractions in Barcelona, such as Casa Batlló and La Pedrera , offer nighttime experiences to enjoy. It’s a great way to see the city’s famous landmarks in a different light.

Me Enjoying a Glass of Bubbly on the Rooftop of Casa Batllo at Night

Listen to Live Music

Barcelona has a great live music scene with several bars and clubs hosting live performances. From jazz and blues to classical and contemporary, there is something for everyone.

Check out places like Jamboree, Apolo, and Razzmatazz for a great night out. The Palau Sant Jordi Stadium also hosts the world’s biggest music stars, from Beyonce to AC DC.

See the Magic Fountain Show

The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc is a stunning light and water show that takes place in front of the National Palace. It’s a free event and is a must-see if you’re in Barcelona at night.  Unfortunately, the fountains are currently dry and not performing due to drought restrictions in the city.  You can check up to date information on the official website here.

Take a Night time Beach Walk

Barcelona has several beaches that are beautiful to visit in the evening. Take a walk along the beach and enjoy the cool breeze – you could even take a dip if you’re feeling brave but don’t leave your belongings unattended.

In the summer the Chiringuito Barcelona beach bars pop up so you can have a drink and enjoy the view, or head to Vila Olimpica for more beach bars and clubs.

Watch a Movie Under the Stars

During the summer months, outdoor cinemas open up in Barcelona, offering a unique movie-going experience.  Films are usually shown in the original language with subtitles in Spanish or Catalan, or English if it is a Spanish film.

Outdoor films are a great way to enjoy the warm weather and soak up some culture at the same time.  Sala Montjuïc has an outdoor cinema screen at Montjuïc Castle from the end of June to the beginning of August, with live music performances before the movie, or check out listings for Cinema Lliure a la Platja to watch a movie on the beach in Barceloneta.

READ MORE: Should You Visit Barcelona in August?

If you prefer to stay indoors, there are English cinemas in Barcelona too.  Look for English-speaking movies advertised in VOSE (original version with Spanish subtitles) otherwise, they will be dubbed in Spanish or Catalan.

The Yelmo Cineplex in Poble Nou was almost exclusively English language films but is now closed , Cinemas where you can find original version films in Barcelona include Renoir Floridablanca in Sant Antoni, Cines Verdi in Gracia, Mooby Cinema at Glòries and Phenomena close to Sagrada Familia, which shows classic films as well as modern releases.

Watch a Concert at the Palau de la Música Catalana

The Palau de la Música Catalana is a beautiful concert hall that is one of the most Instagrammable places in Barcelona and is worth visiting for its stunning architecture alone. Watching a live performance there is even better – they offer concerts and shows in the evenings, and you can book tickets online.

Performances vary from opera and classical music to modern artists, flamenco shows and the music of John Williams to name just a few.  Check out the upcoming performances on their website here .

Go to the Theatre

The Liceu Theatre (also known as the Gran Teatre de Liceu) on La Rambla is an iconic venue that has a variety of shows throughout the year, including ballet, theatre, opera and live music performances.

The theatre has an interesting history since it first began operating on this site in the 1840s, suffering from an anarchist bombing attack in 1893 and having been destroyed by fire not once but twice.  The current Liceu was rebuilt after the last fire in 1994 and opened in 1999 as a public theatre.  It aims to reach a wide range of audiences with its varied program.

The Liceu Theatre on La Rambla Lit Up at Night

Visit a Museum

On certain evenings, many of Barcelona’s museums offer late evening entry, for example

  • Barcelona Aquarium is open from 10am until 9pm every day in the summer and until 7pm in winter
  • The Picasso Museum is open every evening until 8pm, with free entry on Thursday afternoons from 5.00pm to 8.00pm and all day on the first Sunday of the month
  • The MUHBA History Museum of Barcelona is open from 10am to 7pm Tuesday to Saturday and until 8pm on Sundays (closed on Mondays).

In addition to regular opening times, on “the Night of the Museums” in May , you can also visit some of the best museums in Barcelona at night as they open their doors for free entry to the public from 7pm till 1am.

Go Shopping

Most of Barcelona’s shops and stores stay open until 10pm, or at least 8pm in the evening – except on Sundays.  You can stroll down Passeig de Gracia for high-end stores, head to Plaça Catalunya and Avda. del Portal de l’Àngel for high street shops like H&M and Primark, or nose around the Gothic Quarter to find unique gifts and souvenirs .

Las Arenas Shopping centre at Plaça  d’Espanya is housed in a converted bull ring, and there are bars and restaurants on the rooftop where you can go for a drink or dinner with a lovely view of Montjuïc.

Las Arenas Shopping Mall in Barcelona

Have a Wine Tasting

While many wine-tasting tours in Barcelona take place earlier in the day, there are a few you can do in the late afternoon which is a great way to start your evening in Barcelona.  Sample wines from the Catalan wine regions close to Barcelona such as El Penedes and Priorat.

Barcelona: Wine & Cheese Pairing Experience with a Sommelier

  • Small-group wine tasting in Barcelona
  • Meet in the heart of El Born at Vivinos Wine Bar
  • Evening tastings starting at 6pm
  • Taste 3 or 5 regional wines
  • Taste of 3 or 5 regional cheeses
  • Experienced sommelier
  • Excellent pre-dinner activity

Enjoy an Excellent Dinner

Of course, eating is one of the things that you must do in Barcelona at night!  There is a huge variety of restaurants in Barcelona, including several Michelin Starred restaurants, excellent Catalan and Spanish restaurants and of course lots of international eateries serving food from all over the world.

As in the rest of Spain, Catalans usually eat dinner quite late – around 9 or even 10pm, but most restaurants will have opened by 7pm to serve visitors’ earlier dining habits.

Reservations are recommended for dining at the top restaurants in Barcelona, so it is worth checking if you can reserve a table.

Learn How to Make Paella

Many of the cooking classes in Barcelona take place during the day, and often include a visit to the Boqueria Market to buy the ingredients for the class.  However, there are some evening classes available so you can learn how to make your own paella for dinner as well as other Catalan dishes in a four-course menu, but without the market visit.

This class begins at 6pm so is a perfect evening activity in Barcelona!

  • Learn to make a 4-course Spanish meal or “tapas” style Catalan cuisine
  • Enjoy eating the fruits of your labour for dinner
  • Taste wine pairings with your meal
  • Get hands-on tips from professional chefs
  • Take the recipes to make again at home
  • No market visit in the evening class

Go out for Tapas

Barcelona is famous for its tapas, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy these small dishes in the evening.  Tapas are designed to be shared, so if you are travelling with a partner or friends order several tapas dishes to share between you.

If you’re on your own it is hard to choose which dishes to pick as they are all delicious!  2-3 dishes per person depending on the portion size is a good estimate.  Some restaurants may offer half portions of larger tapas plates so you can still sample several different things!

More informal tapas restaurants won’t take reservations so you may have to wait in line to be seated at popular places.  You could also join an evening tapas tour and let someone else show you the best tapas places in Barcelona at night.

Barcelona: Old Town Evening Tour with Tapas and Drinks

  • Indulge in 8 plates of traditional Catalan tapas accompanied by 4 drinks
  • Mingle with locals in their neighbourhood and immerse yourself in local life
  • Treat yourself to some of the oldest, historical establishments of the city
  • Choose between a shared group or private tour
  • transport and tips not included

Go on a Pintxo Bar Crawl in Poble Sec

Pintxos are the Basque version of tapas which are very popular in Barcelona – slices of baguette-style bread with delicious toppings.  Toppings are held in place with a cocktail stick, which is the pintxo that lends its name to the dish.

Choose what you like from the display on the bar and save the cocktails sticks to be counted and added to your bill.  Each pintxo is around 1-2€, and order a glass of beer or wine to wash them down.  Carrer del Blai in Poble Sec is a particularly great place for pintxo bars, with several lining the pedestrian street.  La Taverna del Blai and Blai Tonight are two of my favourites.

Experience the Nightlife

Barcelona is famous for its nightlife, with plenty of bars and clubs open until the early hours of the morning. Whether you want to dance the night away or enjoy a quiet drink with friends, there is something for everyone.

Bars tend to stay open until around 2am, and nightclubs don’t open their doors until midnight, staying open until around 4am.

Enjoy a Cocktail or Two

Barcelona is home to some of the world’s best bars, with some exceptional cocktail bars to choose from.  The most popular bar is Paradiso, which always has a huge line of people waiting to get inside from when it opens at 5pm all through the evening.

If you don’t fancy waiting for that, check out Collage just around the corner, Two Schmucks in El Raval, or Hemingway and Sips in Exiample which are all excellent – among many others around the city.

Go on a Bar Crawl

There are a lot of bars to choose from in Barcelona, so if you’re not sure where to go or your are travelling alone and want some drinking buddies, joining an organised bar crawl is a great way to make friends and enjoy some drinks during your visit.

Tipsy Bar Crawl

  • Visit Secret Local Hotspots
  • Discover Barcelonas Coolest Bars
  • Meet Other Fun Travellers
  • Taste Traditional Catalan Drinks

No matter what kind of music you’re into in Barcelona there is a bar or club for it in Barcelona.  Jamboree, Sala Apolo, and Razzmatazz are some of the more famous nightclubs in Barcelona, which often host live music.

Beach clubs like Shoko, Opium, Pacha and CDMC in Vila Olimpic are more traditional night clubs, with dance and R&B music.

Everywhere in Barcelona is gay-friendly, but if you’re looking for specifically LGBTQI venues then the “GayXample” Eixample neighbourhood has the best gay clubs in town.

Dance Salsa

If you have a hankering for some salsa music, head to Mojito Club in Eixample where you can dance the night away.  Don’t be afraid to accept offers of dances from the other patrons – or if you lead then ask away – part of the fun is dancing with strangers and being whirled around the dancefloor!

Enjoy a Local Festival

Barcelona’s residents love to party and there are various festivals and celebrations throughout the year, depending on when you visit Barcelona.  Festivals often include street parties, live music stages in the larger squares, and are lots of fun, usually running late into the night.

Santa Eulalia

Santa Eulalia is celebrated in February and has many activities for children.  It is usually accompanied by the Festival of Light Llum BCN, which has light installations around the city which are best appreciated at night.  “Mappings” colourful projections on key landmarks such as the Town Hall are also common once it gets dark.

San Juan takes place in June and is one of the most raucous Barcelona festivals, with fireworks and bonfires burning through the night.  The beach is the best place to celebrate San Juan, so bring some drinks and food and sit back and enjoy the madness.

September ’s La Merce Festival is a large festival celebrating the Lady of Mercy, which generally involves live music, Castellers competitions and late-night partying in the streets.

The Festes Majors

Each neighbourhood in Barcelona has its own festival, most of which take place over the summer.  The Festes Majors da Gracia are the biggest and most famous when residents decorate streets in Gracia with incredible creations around a specific theme.  Maps are available to show where the decorated streets are, with concerts and food stalls filling every available space.

Admire the Christmas Lights & Christmas Markets

If you are visiting Barcelona in December, don’t miss the Christmas Markets and colourful lights that fill the streets.  There are also nativity displays to enjoy, Plaça Sant Jaume in the Gothic Quarter always has a display, and the markets in Plaça de la Seu in front of the Gothic Cathedral and around La Sagrada Familia are two of the best.

See in the New Year

Experiencing New Year’s Eve in Barcelona is a great way to begin a new year, and there are celebrations and parties going on all over the city.  The major event is a fireworks and light display on Avinguda Maria Christina between Plaça Espanya and Montjuïc, which is free but obviously gets very busy.

I hope you enjoyed this guide to the best things to do in Barcelona at night.  If I have missed any of your favourite Barcelona nighttime activities then please do let me know and I’ll add them into the post!

Experience the Barcelona Night Bike Tour with a dinner stop for tapas

We’ll meet in the middle of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, the oldest part of the city, at Plaça St Jaume. This beautiful square is the location of both the town hall and Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of Catalonia).

We’ll bike through the Gothic Quarter to the end of the famous Las Ramblas, where we’ll find the Old Port of Barcelona. After telling you about its history from being built in the 1600’s to the present day, we’ll head over to another area of the old city of Barcelona, the Raval neighborhood. Once considered a rough part of town, it’s now a cultural heart of the city.

Continuing on through the lively Eixample neighborhood, we’ll find ourselves in Sant Antoni with its central daytime market and many bars and tapas restaurants. No evening in Barcelona is complete without tapas, so this is where we’ll stop at a local tapas bar to sample some classic Spanish cuisine. (Food at the stop is not included, but you are welcome to get as much or little as you’d like).

Now that we’ve had our fill of tapas, its time to ride up to the Plaza España and climb up the steps to get a night time view of the city.  The lookout from this location is absolutely stunning, and our guide will be there to point out all the sites, give you information about each one, and take photos for you.  We’ll enjoy some Cava (sparkling Spanish wine) as we revel in the lights and sounds of Barcelona at night.

As we make our way back, you’ll get to admire the illuminated old bullfighting ring and learn its new purpose since Catalonia banned bullfighting in 2010. • ehazelpond 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles 1 star is far too generous 1 star is far too generous. To skip to the end in case you don't want to read the whole review, the driver refused to take us so we had to take a normal taxi, without any car seat for our small child, after waiting 30 minutes for the driver to decide he wasn't taking us and were refused a refund. Booked Welcome as we were travelling with our small child and wanted to ensure she had a car seat to travel safely. We also travelled with our small (7kg), hypoallergenic dog who had just sat in the cabin in an aeroplane in her airline approved carrier. The driver refused to take us. Said he is allergic to dogs. I pointed out it's fine because she is hypoallergenic so this shouldn't be a problem for his allergies. Plus she will be in her carrier, not coming into contact with his car. He then changed his excuse to that he drives his small kid in his car so does not want a dog in there. The reality was clear that he just doesn't like dogs. Some cultures have different connotations of dogs, despite this not being the case in Barcelona where we were traveling. He spent 30 minutes, while we were left in the arrivals with a small frustrated child, to call his customer service. He then came to say he will not take us, the customer service said we should have mentioned it on the booking. It states no where on the booking page about having to declare a dog. We are not hiding that we have a dog, I would have been more than happy to state this and be picked up by someone who can show some compassion to animals. There is a comments section for adding bulky luggage, wheelchairs etc. But it mentions no where dogs. We have also traveled with Welcome many times before (varying results, but this is the worst) and never faced this problem. We travel often with Cabify, Uber, FreeNow and never had a problem, especially if the dog is in an approved carrier. We were then left to take a taxi without any car seat for our child as this man refused to have a dog in a carrier in his vehicle. If his excuses are to be believed, he is prioritising the personal use of his vehicle over how he interacts with customers. If he has a small child, how he can leave another one to travel without a car seat is just terribly unethical. I later received an email that I didn't show up so I have been charged for the ride. Obviously not true. I have contacted their customer service who are refusing to refund me the money. They left me to travel with my child not in a car seat on motorways, wasted so much of our time in the arrivals hall and have taken €52 from me for this experience which they don't now even have the decency to refund. Horrendous company. If this is how they treat people, I will never be booking with them again. Read more Written February 24, 2024

  • pamelacD699KW 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles I have found my dependable travel transportation provider! I’ve used Welcome Pickups multiple times in multiple countries during this trip and I’ve been extremely impressed. Drivers are impeccably dressed and their vehicles are impeccably clean. They have all been on time. In airports and cruise ports they have met me at arrivals with my name on a sign. (I like that over standing on a curb trying to pick my rideshare driver out from a dozen others.) I’ve come to depend on Welcome Pickups for time sensitive travel such as to/from airports. Pricing is comparable to Taxis, payment is done in the App and only need cash for tipping the driver. This is a plus for me. I highly recommend Welcome Pickups especially if you are a nervous traveler like me and want to pre-arrange dependable transportation. Read more Written November 28, 2023
  • robk922 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great transportation company at low prices We used Welcome Pickups for the first time in Barcelona to get to from the airport to our hotel and a couple days later from hotel to cruise port. Both drivers were wonderful. The vehicles were spotless. They were friendly, answered questions, and drove safely. I received an email and text with drivers pictures confirming pickup location and time. For both of our trips the drivers arrived 10 minutes early. At the airport the driver had a sign with my name on it which made it easy to find him. I will definitely reach out and use Welcome Pickups in the future when traveling as they are located in 160+ cities world wide. Read more Written November 18, 2023
  • 535valr 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles My plane landed 30 minutes early and my driver was there waiting for me! Very pleased with this service. We booked a pick up at Barcelona airport and we were a little worried that we would have to wait for our taxi as the plane landed 30 minutes early. However, our driver kept an eye on our flight information and he was there waiting for us with a sign when we entered the arrival hall - I believe they even wait for an hour if your flight is late. The driver was very pleasant and we reached our destination quickly. Because you pay up front you don’t have to worry about having the exact fare. I have kept the welcome app on my phone as I plan to use it for all my airport trips. Read more Written November 14, 2023

Our driver was Marina and she was awesome. We experienced a flight disruption which changed our arrival. She was very easy to communicate with and she stayed in touch until we finally met at the airport. She is very energetic and upbeat and she gave us lots of information as she drove us to our hotel. • nancybI4878YB 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Welcome Pickups Airport Taxi and Transfers if the Worst Ever!! I would not use this company. They have bait and switch tactics. I booked a pickup at the airport in Barcelona. We arrived early and it had stated that the driver would be watching our flight. When we arrived, I texted him and he sent someone else to pick us up. I was given no heads up on who this guy was. Further, he was driving a taxi so we were confused. Our plans changed and I cancelled the return trip to the airport. It states that we would receive 80% back if it was less than 24 hours until the scheduled trip. I cancelled 10 days in advance and they STILL only refunded 80%. When I inquired about this they stated that was their policy. I attached the picture with their policy on the cancellation circled and they still said they would not refund the full amount. What a terrible company and awful customer service. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Read more Written November 9, 2023
  • 619tracieh 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! It has a nice website and very easy to make a booking but then you are on your own! There is no way to contact welcome pickups after you make a booking! No way to modify a pickup you have planned. if you try, it gives you a 2nd booking at the new time and you have no way to cancel. There is no way to do anything but try to call the drivers they have assigned and work it out directly with them. And you are charged 20% for canceling the duplicate or wrong booking even a week beforehand. The "contact customer support" option goes to a FAQ page that sends you round & round to nowhere. Nice drivers, not their fault. But you feel trapped by this company. BE CAREFUL making a booking- there's no way out! Read more Written November 4, 2023
