The Vakantiebeurs, 2022 edition, has been canceled again. The Travel Congress, the event for the travel industry itself, which is traditionally organized on the eve of the Holiday Fair, will continue, albeit in an online version.

Travel Congress

Voor de eerste editie van het Travel Congress ontwikkelde Purpose lab een break-out sessie genaamd Conscious Travel. De participanten kregen inzicht in cases op het gebied van verantwoord toerisme van bedrijven en bestemmingen en concrete handvatten voor communicatie.

ACHTERGROND Het Travel Congress is een nieuw congres in Nederland gericht op reisprofessionals en wordt georganiseerd door ANVR, Red Online Marketing, Jaarbeurs, Vakantiebeurs en Travel Tomorrow. Aan de hand van diverse thema’s stonden er keynotes en break-out sessies op het programma.

AANPAK Purpose Lab ontwikkelde een workshop voor een break-out sessie vanuit de trends op het gebied van verantwoord reizen. Op basis van onderzoek, tips van pr-experts uit het lab-netwerk en whitepapers over communicatie van onder meer ANVR Better Holidays ontstond een flink gevuld programma. Het eerste deel van de workshop bestond uit een compilatie van trends en succesvolle casussen van reisbedrijven en bestemmingen. Daarna gingen de professionals zelf aan de slag aan de hand van een vijfstappenplan.

RESULTAAT Deze drukbezochte workshop zette het belang van duurzame innovatie en doeltreffende communicatie met media en consument in 30 minuten op de kaart. De interactie van het tweede deel van de workshop was dusdanig enthousiast dat we last van tijdgebrek kregen. Die ervaring nemen we mee naar een volgende workshop waar de presentatie van trends en een do it yourself element samen komen. De trends op het gebied van verantwoord reizen staan in deze blog op een rijtje en de drie belangrijkste communicatie tips vind je hier.
