I was in Bathgate on Saturday 3 June 2023. It was Procession Day. Very busy. All roads in centre of town were closed. Asking a policeman when roads would open,he said, all open by 2 30. Got to bus stop at the partnerhip centre at 1 45. The roads were beginning to open. 3 o clock I checked the SD app. No different information. 3 45 phoned SD travel. The man who answered told me there would be no 31 buses until 6 o clock when the road opens. i did say all roads were open. NO BUSES UNTIL 6 OCLOCK he repeated. I surrended and phoned for a lift. It was 3 45. 2 hours waiting for a bus theat was not appearing until 6. There were 4 other people who had no access to other means of getting to there destination. when we got to the end of Torphichen Street a 31 bus was waiting there. the driver could see the road was open,was he going to wait there until 6. SD Travel seem not to care that people rely on their buses. They seem to forget that they are a public service.
