The HAT is a two-day non-stop adventure trip (with night driving) for 3-rider teams, mainly on dirt mountain roads, following GPS tracks with adventure bikes weighing not less than 150 kg.

For the 2022 edition it will start in Sanremo (IT) and finish in Sestrière (F)

L’attesa era molta ed i ragazzi di Over2000riders ci tenevano a fare qualcosa di speciale. E qualcosa di speciale è stato. La 15a edizione della HAT Sanremo Sestriere, o anche Hardalpitour, così come fondata nel 2009 da Corrado Capra, è stata unanimemente definita come la più grande, la più organizzata, la più partecipata, alla fine, la più bella HAT di sempre. Non è solo un giudizio soggettivo di chi vi ha partecipato a vario titolo, come organizzatore, staff, partner oppure pilota, ma sono anche i numeri a dirlo: • 5000 mq ca. di HAT Village (+20% vs 2022) con al centro il nuovo HAT Boot Camp • 539 partecipanti (+13%, record assoluto) da 15 nazioni • 20 stand tra HAT partner e team in esposizione • 22 team ufficiali di aziende top alla partenza con personaggi, piloti e novità moto • 1500 km di strade uniche per 4 scelte diverse di percorso • 26 ristori sui percorsi • 980 km del percorso Extreme 1000, la nuova maratona-sfida dell’adventouring • 250 tracker distribuiti a team e piloti per il controllo GPS di sicurezza immediato sui percorsi • Il primo bivacco notturno in quota per i 40 piloti della Extreme 1000 • La grande festa a metà percorso al ristoro di Boves con tutti i partecipanti e gli accompagnatori • L’importante messaggio di sostenibilità ambientale per il futuro

La HAT Sanremo Sestriere rappresenta lo spirito più sfidante dell’adventouring ed ha confermato quanto questo sia oggi la disciplina del mondo motociclistico più in salute.

La manifestazione Sotto un caldo sole, venerdì 8 settembre si sono presentati all’HAT Village di Sanremo 539 piloti di cui il 50% provenienti dall’estero per un totale di 15 nazioni rappresentate. Una marea di moto adventure mai vista. Tra questi più di una ventina di team schierati da case moto ufficiali e da aziende del settore, confermando che la HAT è un evento che dialoga perfettamente con il mondo professionale dell’adventouring. Tra questi: • KTM, con lo stunt-rider Marco Iob, il giovane chef Roberto Valbuzzi e Roberto Ungaro • Gas Gas, con Roberto Tonelli e Husqvarna, con il dakariano Maurizio Gerini • Suzuki, con i dakariani Cesare Zacchetti e Ottavio Missoni • Kove, con il suo presidente Xue Zhang e Cesare Galli, titolare della Pelpi Int. • Triumph, con Andrea Perfetti e Salvo Pennisi di Pirelli • Moto Morini, con il campione spagnolo Oriol Mena e Luca Marcotulli • Honda con Francesca Gasperi, Renato Zocchi e le ragazze di Dal Tacco al Tassello • Royal Enfield, con Sasa Di Benedetto ed una squadra di Himalaian • BMW, con la squadra degli istruttori della GS Academy

Ed ancora altri piloti dei team Continental, Interphone, SW Motech, Enduristan, My Tech, Mosko Moto, Yamaha Twinsbike, Spanu Academy, Seipercento e il blogger Federico Marretta con un nutrito gruppo di amici. Sicuramente di rilievo la partecipazione di Xue Zhang, CEO della interessante cinese Kove, che ha destato simpatia e curiosità in questa HAT che vedeva l’esordio delle sue moto sul nostro territorio.

Sanremo e Sestriere, sorelle dell’adventouring, hanno fatto da sfondo impeccabile dell’accoglienza di una carovana di persone sempre più numerosa. La serata con il briefing nel prestigioso Teatro del Casinò ha dato il via ufficiale alla manifestazione mentre le Montagne Olimpiche a ridosso del noto piazzale Kandahar hanno fatto da degna cornice per l’arrivo dei partecipanti.

A metà strada il bellissimo ristoro di Boves (CN), altro caposaldo della struttura organizzativa HAT, che ha accolto tutti i partecipanti e le loro assistenze nella splendida piazza centrale con un’atmosfera di puro spirito adventouring.

L’Extreme 1000, il percorso-novità di quest’anno, nato per definire un nuovo limite al mondo adventouring, ha già creato il mito tra gli appassionati. Riservato a soli 40 piloti tra i più esperti ed “estremi”, è stata una prova molto intensa. Da segnalare il suggestivo bivacco notturno organizzato a Oncino (CN) in una località isolata per replicare l’atmosfera dei mitici eventi del deserto con tanto di mega-truck 4x4 per il trasporto bagagli. Di rilievo il numero record dei partecipanti (120), al percorso più semplice, il Discovery, dato supportato dall’alto numero degli iscritti per la prima volta alla HAT, intorno al 50%, a testimonianza di come questa stia attirando un pubblico nuovo al mondo del turismo-avventura.

Il plauso finale di tutti è andato all’imponente macchina organizzativa approntata da Over2000riders con una sessantina di addetti ai vari servizi della HAT, con schemi e piani di lavoro coordinati ben precisi, con l’assistenza continua delle tecnologie più avanzate tra cui il servizio di sicurezza tracking GPS di ogni equipaggio e quello di badging con sistemi RFID e QR code alla partenza. Da segnalare anche l’imponente servizio medico formato da oltre 20 persone con 5 unità mobili 4x4 e 5 postazioni fisse della Croce Verde.

Ultimo ma non ultimo, l’importante apertura fatta nel corso del briefing al tema della sostenibilità ambientale , un manifesto di responsabilità e comportamento che gli organizzatori, Corrado Capra in testa, intendono portare avanti per il futuro della manifestazione e quindi per lo sviluppo della disciplina. Tutto questo grazie a comportamenti organizzativi e dei partecipanti virtuosi che portino alla possibilità di una certificazione di impatto ambientale sostenibile dell’evento, con l’acquisto di quote di CO2, con il controllo della rumorosità delle moto partecipanti. L’obiettivo è quello di rendere la HAT e di conseguenza l’adventouring una disciplina in linea con i migliori comportamenti possibili nel suo ambiente elettivo, i territori più isolati, le strade minori, la natura. Da qui passerà il futuro dell’adventouring.

Un ringraziamento particolare è dedicato gli Enti Locali, in primis le Regioni Liguria e Piemonte che hanno concesso il loro patrocinio, ma anche la Province di Imperia, Savona e Cuneo, i Comuni di Sanremo, Boves e Sestriere, oltre ai numerosi comuni attraversati in questa edizione. There was a lot of expectation and the Over2000riders guys were keen to do something special. And something special it was. The 15th edition of the HAT Sanremo Sestriere, aka the Hardalpitour as founded in 2009 by Corrado Capra, was unanimously defined as the largest, the most organised, the most attended, and in the end, the most beautiful HAT ever.

It is not just a subjective judgment of those who participated in various roles, as organizer, staff, partner or rider, but numbers also say it: • approx. 5000 m2. of HAT Village (+20% vs 2022) with the new HAT Boot Camp at the center • 539 participants (+13%, all-time record) from 15 nations • 20 booths between HAT partners and teams on display • 22 official teams from top companies at the start with vip, riders and product news • 1500 km of unique roads for 4 different route choices • 26 refreshment points on the routes • 980 km of the Extreme 1000 route, the new adventouring marathon challenge • 250 trackers distributed to teams and riders for immediate GPS safety control on the routes • The first night bivouac at high altitude for the 40 Extreme 1000 riders • The big party at the halfway point at the Boves refreshment area with all the participants and their assistance • The important message of environmental sustainability for the future

The HAT Sanremo Sestriere represents the most challenging spirit of adventouring and has confirmed how this is the healthiest discipline in the motorcycling world today.

The venue In a very sunny day, 539 pilots showed up at the HAT Village in Sanremo on Friday 8 September, whose 50% from abroad for a total of 15 nations represented. A lot of adventure bikes like never seen before. Among these, more than twenty teams lined up from official motorcycle manufacturers and brands in the sector, confirming that the HAT is an event that communicates perfectly with the professional world of adventouring. Other teams entered by the HAT Partners, Continental, Interphone, SW Motech, Enduristan, My Tech; then Mosko Moto, Yamaha Twinsbike, Spanu Academy, Seipercento teams and the blogger Federico Marretta with a large group of friends. The participation of Xue Zhang, CEO of the interesting Chinese company Kove, was certainly significant, as he aroused sympathy and curiosity within the HAT community which saw the debut of his motorbikes on our territory.

Sanremo and Sestriere, sisters of adventouring, served as an impeccable backdrop for the welcoming of an ever-increasing caravan of people. The evening with the briefing in the prestigious Casino Theater gave the official start to the event while the Olympic Mountains close to the well-known Kandahar square provided a worthy backdrop for the arrival of the participants. Halfway there was the beautiful refreshment point in Boves (CN), another cornerstone of the HAT organizational structure, which welcomed all the participants and their assistance in the splendid central square with an atmosphere of pure adventouring spirit.

The new route Extreme 1000, created to define a new limit in the adventouring world, has already created a legend among the enthusiasts. Limited to just 40 of the most experienced and "extreme" riders, it was a very intense test. To remember is the evocative night bivouac organized in Oncino (CN) in an isolated location to replicate the atmosphere of the legendary desert events completed with a 4x4 mega-truck for luggage transportation. To highlight is the record of participants (120) on the simplest route, the Discovery, a figure supported by the high number of those registered for the first time at the HAT, around 50%, demonstrating how it is attracting a new audience to the world of adventure touring.

Everyone's final applause went to the impressive organizational machine prepared by Over2000riders with around sixty staff for the various HAT services, with precise coordinated schemes and work plans, with the assistance of the most advanced technologies including the GPS tracking for the safety of each rider and badging with RFID and QR code systems at the departure. Also worth mentioning is the impressive medical service made up of over 20 people with 5 4x4 mobile units and 5 fixed Green Cross stations.

Last but not least, the important announcement made in the briefing to the theme of environmental sustainability , a manifesto of responsibility and behavior that the organizers, led by Corrado Capra, intend to carry forward for the future of the event and therefore for the development of the discipline. All this thanks to virtuous organizational and participant behaviors that lead to the possibility of a sustainable environmental impact certification of the event, with the purchase of CO2 shares, with the control of the noise of the participating motorbikes. The objective is to make HAT and consequently the adventouring a discipline in line with the best possible behaviors in its elective environment, the most isolated territories, the minor roads, the nature. The future of adventouring will pass from here.

La démonstration Sous un soleil brûlant, 539 pilotes se sont présentés vendredi 8 septembre au Village HAT de Sanremo, dont 50% venaient de l'étranger pour un total de 15 nations représentées. Et même d'autres pilotes des équipes Continental, Interphone, SW Motech, Enduristan, My Tech, Mosko Moto, Yamaha Twinsbike, Spanu Academy, Seipercento et le blogueur Federico Marretta avec un grand groupe d'amis. La participation de Xue Zhang, PDG de l'intéressante entreprise chinoise Kove, a été certainement significative, car il a suscité sympathie et curiosité dans cette HAT qui a vu les débuts de ses motos sur notre territoire.

Sanremo et Sestrières, sœurs de l'aventure, ont servi de cadre impeccable pour l'accueil d'une caravane toujours plus nombreuse. La soirée avec briefing au prestigieux Théâtre du Casino a donné le coup d'envoi officiel de l'événement tandis que les montagnes olympiques, à proximité de la célèbre place Kandahar, ont fourni un décor digne de l'arrivée des participants.

A mi-chemin se trouvait le magnifique point de ravitaillement de Boves (CN), autre pierre angulaire de la structure organisationnelle de la HAT, qui a accueilli tous les participants et leur assistance sur la splendide place centrale dans une atmosphère de pur esprit aventurier.

L'extreme 1000, le nouveau parcours de cette année, créé pour définir une nouvelle limite au monde de l'aventurier, a déjà créé une légende parmi les passionnés. Réservé à seulement 40 pilotes parmi les plus expérimentés et les plus « extrêmes », ce fut un test très intense. A noter l'évocateur bivouac nocturne organisé à Oncino (CN) dans un lieu isolé pour reproduire l'atmosphère des légendaires événements du désert avec un méga-camion 4x4 pour le transport des bagages. A noter le nombre record de participants (120), sur le parcours le plus simple, la Découverte, un chiffre soutenu par le nombre élevé de primo-inscrits à la HAT, autour de 50%, démontrant à quel point elle attire un nouveau public. au monde du tourisme d'aventure.

Les derniers applaudissements de tous sont allés à l'impressionnante machine organisationnelle préparée par Over2000riders avec une soixantaine d'employés des différents services de la HAT, avec des schémas et des plans de travail coordonnés très précis, avec l'assistance continue des technologies les plus avancées dont le suivi GPS de sécurité de chaque équipage et le badgeage. avec systèmes RFID et QR code au départ. A noter également l'impressionnant service médical composé de plus de 20 personnes avec 5 unités mobiles 4x4 et 5 stations fixes de la Croix Verte.

Enfin, l'importante ouverture faite lors du briefing sur le thème de la durabilité environnementale , un manifeste de responsabilité et de comportement que les organisateurs, menés par Corrado Capra, entendent poursuivre pour l'avenir de l'événement et donc pour le développement de la discipline. Tout cela grâce à des comportements vertueux d'organisation et de participants qui conduisent à la possibilité d'une certification d'impact environnemental durable de l'événement, avec l'achat de quotas de CO2, avec le contrôle du bruit des motos participantes. L'objectif est de faire de la HAT et par conséquent de l'aventurier une discipline en adéquation avec les meilleurs comportements possibles dans son environnement électif, les territoires les plus isolés, les petites routes, la nature. L’avenir de l’aventure passera d’ici.

Hard alpi tour: was ist das.

Unter dem Begriff „Adventouring“, einer Kombination aus Adventure und Touring, hat sich in den letzten Jahren eine Reihe von Events für die Fahrer großer Reiseenduros in Italien etabliert, die interessante Möglichkeiten bietet, um die stollenbereiften Maschinen artgerecht On/Offroad zu bewegen. 

Als bedeutendste Veranstaltung dieser Art findet die Hard Alpi Tour Sanremo – Sestriere jedes Jahr am ersten Septemberwochenende statt. Start ist im mondänen Badeort Sanremo an der italienischen Blumenriviera, die Strecke führt über bis zu 900 km On/Off in maximal 42 Stunden über die italienischen Seealpen in das Skiressort Sestriere westlich von Turin. 

Besonderes Kennzeichen der Veranstaltung: die 350 Teilnehmer fahren auch nachts! Dabei gibt es verschiedene Kategorien: die Discovery für Einsteiger mit einer Strecke von rund 450 km startet Samstagmorgen, die Klassik mit 550 km am Samstagnachmittag und die Extreme schließlich mit Start Freitagnacht und rund 900 km Strecke.

• HAT Vintage, speziell für Motorräder, die vor 1984 zugelassen wurden
• HAT Discovery, das Einstiegsmodell, dessen Route in zwei Tage ohne Nachtfahrt unterteilt ist
• HAT Classic, die traditionelle 24-Stunden-Non-Stop-Fahrt
• HAT Extreme, speziell für die „waghalsigsten“ Biker, die 36 Stunden lang fahren können und zwei Nächte fahren müssen. Begrenzte Plätze.

Die HAT SANREMO – SESTRIERE findet im September vom 2. bis 4. September 2022 statt. Treffpunkt und Startpunkt ist SANREMO, Ankunftsort ist SESTRIERE.

Gefunden haben wir uns in der Facebook Gruppe  „Offroad Touren „. Wir werden uns also ins besondere zwischen 2.bis 4. September in den Westalpen herum treiben und mit der HAT Classic 550km Offroad in 24h zurück legen. Basis ist der Gran Bosco. Wenn also jemand in der Gegend ist und gerne eine gemeinsame Runde drehen möchte…..

Hallo, leider habe ich für dieses Jahr keine Kollegen gefunden die diese Jahr im September Zeit haben. Somit auch keine Gruppe. Im nächsten Jahr hätten mehrer Personen Zeit. Habt Ihr schon einen Termin für die HAT SANREMO – SESTRIERE

Über eine kurze Info zum Termin würde ich mich freuen, damit wir das jetzt schon einmal blocken können. Danke

Hi all, Has anyone done the HAT from Sanremo > Sestriere before? Im planning on riding out from England this year to take part (the solo rider one) and wondered if anyone has done it before? Any tips, ideas trip reports?! Secondly, is anyone planning on going out this year for the event? Many thanks, Mike

I don't feel the attraction to this kind of things : one will ride in some of the best places of alps , with endless panoramas and lot of things to do , see and taste .. and be pressed riding all night. The same ride I would do in 3-4 days, stopping in mountain huts for food and lodging, maybe with hikes to see fortresses and looking points ...

My appeal to this event is getting access to tracks i would no be able to find myself, in relative safety of being around others and hopefully meeting some interesting people along the way. I'm trying to tie it in to a trip to Italy to meet my better half around Lake Como area also - Few days riding, few days relaxing :)

Haven't done it myself, but interested also. Subscribed, and still considering to join if places available.

Yes the Classic I believe it's called. If you have a look at Bodgetape Adventures on Youtube they did it last year. We're looking to camp nearby for the week.

HAT is done all on open to public dirt roads , one could do the same just following a map . Differently to other parts of Italy - like Apennines and central italy where on an hill you may have dozens trails to choose - on Alps the traces are mostly very clear As I said, for a local , or someone that rides these parts from several years, the "raid" concept of pushing yourself to limit (riding 18+ hours is not easy) could be attractive , for me is like having the woman of your dreams and doing just a quickie ...

Just checking in so to not leave an endless post! What a great event; well organised, great route, nicely challenging what with the long days of concentrating on navigating and not to plummet off of a mountain and most importantly, friendly people to talk to from all over Europe. Well worth the long trip from England :)

I also did it this year with Yamtastic, it was fabulous, easily the best thing I've done on a motorcycle. Barring the usual KTM 950 Adv fuel pump faff.

Hi guys, I'm hoping to do the HAT this year, if it goes ahead... solo in the Classic tour. This is all dependant on if I can get time off work and ironically if I still have a job! As these are open 'public roads', does anyone know where I could get a GPX file for some of the tracks?

Hi BigDiggety, good choice its a fantastic event. They are generally open roads and you'd need some local knowledge ideally. Im not sure how you can find these on the maps like we can in the UK for BOATS, which is why i stumped up the cash to go with the event. It was well worth the cost! You could start on the TET website, it looks like the south to north section on the alps border runs in a similar route/direction :) I doubt anyone would share an old GPX - I paid a reasonable event cost to take part and it seems a little "off" to share the hard work of the 2000Riders group publicly, sorry.

Just saw your location, beautiful part f the world and some great trails relatively close by. It was a fair old ride out from the UK for me! Bike setup, i wouldn't worry too much. There were ALL sorts of bikes taking part! Some i wouldn't have chosen to ride on that terrain that's for sure! A good 50/50 tyre for some grip in the mountains on the gravel and you'll be fine. Keep us posted :)

Being so close to the French border...regions Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur have been declared CV-19 High Risk areas overnight last Tuesday. Test- and quarantine are now compulsory for German travellers (and others) upon return. Other areas joining daily due to the rapidly rising case numbers. I.E. Hardalpitour Extreme

Mit dem Entscheid, erneut an der Hardalpitour Extreme teilzunehmen, haben wir uns bewusst auf ein echtes Abenteuer eingelassen…

Die Hardalpitour bedeutet Action, „Extreme“ bedeutet echtes Abenteuer! Wir, das KTM Nighthawk Team, sind bekennende Wiederholungstäter. Nach 2015 und 2017 zog es uns in diesem Jahr (2020) wieder an den Start der Hardalpitour. In einer von Covid-19 geprägten Motorrad-Saison sind für uns bereits Touren ins Friaul und in die Vogesen dem Virus zum Opfer gefallen. Umso glücklicher schätzen wir uns, bei herrlichem Herbstwetter eine Tour durch den westlichen Alpenbogen, mit der Teilnahme an der Hardalpitour als Höhepunkt, in Angriff nehmen zu können.

 Discovery, Classic und Extreme

Die Hardalpitour ist eine Orientierungsfahrt nach GPS-Tracks durch die alpine Bergwelt des südwestlichen Piemonts und Ligurien. Je nach Variante gilt es unterschiedliche Distanzen zurückzulegen. Zudem unterscheiden sich die Varianten im Offroadanteil. 430 km mit 40% Offroad-Anteil sind es bei der Discovery, 550 km mit 60% Offroad-Anteil bei der Classic und 900 km mit 80% Offroad-Anteil bei der Extreme.

Die Extreme startet am Freitagabend um 23.00 Uhr in Sanremo an der Mittelmeerküste und endet rund 42 Stunden später am Sonntagnachmittag im 2035 Meter hoch gelegenen Wintersportort Sestriere. Dazwischen liegen zwei lange Nächte und ein ganzer Tag Motorradfahren über alpine, teilweise sehr raue Schotterstrecken und eine nicht enden wollende Serie von Kurven, Kehren, Pässen und Kammstrassen. Gestartet wird grundsätzlich in Teams von mindestens drei Fahrern, GPS-Daten der Strecke gehen wenige Tage vor dem Event per Mail an die Teilnehmer.

Basislager am Fuss des Mont Chaberton

Das Reglement schreibt ein Mindestgewicht von 150 kg fürs Motorrad vor, was eine Reiseenduro zur naheliegenden Wahl macht. Wir gehen mit unseren 690er KTMs an den Start und reisen auf Achse nach Sanremo. Wer aus der Schweiz eine Route an die ligurische Mittelmeerküste plant, hat die Qual der Wahl. Es steht eine Vielzahl von genialen Alpenpässen zur Auswahl, da findet jeder eine Kombination nach seinem Geschmack. Wir haben Cesana Torinese, einen kleinen Touristenort am Fuss des Mont Chaberton, zu unserem Basislager erkoren.

Der 3131 Meter hohe Mont Chaberton, mit seinem bis in die späten 90er-Jahre anfahrbaren Gipfelfort, war in der Enduro-Szene von damals ein Kultberg. Für meinen Freund Markus und mich hat der Chaberton eine spezielle Bedeutung, haben wir uns doch vor rund 25 Jahren an eben diesem Berg kennengelernt und sind seither mit unseren Enduros viele, viele tausend Kilometer gemeinsam unterwegs gewesen. Cesana Torinese zum Basislager zu machen, hat nebst nostalgischen, auch praktische und kulinarische Hintergründe. Zum einen die Nähe zu Sestriere, dem Zielort der Hardalpitour, welche es uns ermöglicht das «grosse» Gepäck hierzulassen und nur mit Isomatte, Zahnbürste und Werkzeug loszuziehen. Und zum anderen die Osteria Italia, deren charismatischer Inhaber eine eindrückliche Auswahl an sehr leckeren Biersorten bereithält.

Sanremo und die ligurische Küste im Visier

Check-in in Sanremo ist zwischen 12.00 und 19.00 Uhr, gestartet wird in der Reihenfolge der Einschreibung. Um nicht eine allzu hohe Startnummer zu «kassieren», ziehen wir am Freitagmorgen zeitig los. Bis Sanremo liegen über fünf Stunden kurviger Bergstrassen vor uns. Mit einem Frühstück à la Corona im Bauch – der Teller wird gemäss Bestellung vom Personal am Buffet bestückt und an den Tisch gebracht – starten wir über den Col de Montgenèvre in den Tag. Wir ziehen die Berge der schnelleren Route über die Po-Ebene vor und kurven über den Col de Vars, den Colle della Maddalena und den Col de Tende in Richtung Mittelmeer.

Über die rund 50 Kehren der Tende Südrampe beginnt uns die vom stahlblauen Himmel scheinende Sonne einzuheizen. Mit jedem Kilometer, den wir uns der Küste nähern, wird die Vegetation mediterraner und die Temperaturen steigen auf über 30°C. Als wir in Sanremo unsere vollgetankten Enduros parken, ist es bereits nach 14.00 Uhr. Das für die Teilnehmer der Hardalpitour Extreme reservierte Zeitfenster haben wir verpasst und stellen uns mit dem nötigen Abstand in die Warteschlange. Die Organisation rund um Corrado Capra, Corrado ist der geistige Vater des Hardalpi-Konzeptes und treibende Kraft, hat auch dieses Mal ganze Arbeit geleistet. Trotz konsequentem Schutzkonzept, es sind maximal zwei Teams gleichzeitig im Anmeldeprozedere erlaubt, hält sich die Wartezeit in Grenzen. Die Stimmung ist kollegial, das Organisationsteam freundlich und die Anmeldung effizient.

Schlaf tanken vor dem Start

Wir haben die Startnummer 41 und werden sicher nicht vor Mitternacht loskommen. Aus Erfahrung wissen wir, dass ein Nickerchen im Schatten einer Palme keine nachhaltige Erholung bringt und gönnen uns deshalb den Luxus eines Hotelzimmers. Keine 300 Meter vom Start entfernt, beziehen wir im Hotel Marinella unser reserviertes Zimmer und hauen uns für einige Stunden aufs Ohr. Etwas schlaftrunken, aber gut erholt, checken wir am späteren Abend wieder aus und schlendern vor dem Briefing noch übers Startgelände. Nebst den Ständen von Enduristan, Garmin, Klim und Co. sind vor allem die Motorräder der anderen Teilnehmer interessant. Von professionellen Rallye-Umbauten, über seriennahe Grossenduros bis hin zu Einzylindern aus den 80er Jahren ist alles vertreten.

Null Uhr zehn – endlich gehts los!

Kurz nach Mitternacht rollen wir dann endlich von der Startrampe. Die Warterei vor dem Start ist immer etwas nervig und wir sind froh, Sanremo in Richtung Berge hinter uns zu lassen. Ausserhalb der Stadt führt das Roadbook über schmale Teersträsschen und durch kleine Dörfer. Wir gewinnen stetig an Höhe und haben nach einer guten halben Stunde endlich Schotter unter den Stollen. Es dauert seine Zeit, bis sich die Teams auf der Strecke verteilen. Mal überholen wir, mal werden wir überholt, jedes Team sucht seinen eigenen Rhythmus. Fokussiert auf das vom Scheinwerferlicht begrenzte Sichtfeld geht es erstaunlich flott durch die noch junge Nacht.

Kaum warmgefahren, führt uns das Roadbook über einen genialen Singletrail. Ein steiniger, rauer Pfad führt uns in engen Kurven über mehrere Kilometer einem steilen Berghang entlang durchs Unterholz. Anspruchsvoll, abwechslungsreich und etwas abenteuerlich, ein Auftakt ganz nach unserem Geschmack.

Navigation leichtgemacht

Die perfekt ausgekundschafteten Tracks werden vom Veranstalter als GPX-Daten für alle trackingfähigen GPS-Geräte und als TRB-Daten für Tripy-Geräte zur Verfügung gestellt. Wir setzen auch dieses Mal auf unsere Tripys, die nebst satellitengestützten Positionsdaten auch grafische Roadbook- Symbole zum Streckenverlauf anzeigen. Navigation wird so fast schon zur Nebensache und wir können uns voll auf die Herausforderungen und die landschaftlichen Reize der Strecke konzentrieren. Verschiedene Abschnitte des Roadbooks sind normalerweise nicht legal befahrbar und werden nur durch die Absprachen der Hardalpi-Organisation mit Gemeinden und Privatpersonen temporär und in festgelegten Zeitfenstern zur Befahrung freigegeben.

Die Uhr zeigt 4.30 als wir am Ristoro Melosa, dem ersten Verpflegungsposten eintreffen. Hier liegen für die Teilnehmer Sandwiches bereit und den Espresso dazu gibt’s mit den Gutscheinen des Veranstalters an der Bar. Nebst der Stärkung wollen wir hier auch eine erste grössere Pause einlegen. Hierzu suchen wir uns ein ruhiges Plätzchen mit wenig Streulicht, rollen die Isomatten aus, stellen einen Wecker und dann Ohrstöpsel rein, Augen zu und zwei Stunden Schlaf reinziehen – so zumindest der Plan. Als Markus mich wachrüttelt, glaube ich kaum, die Augen geschlossen zu haben. Erst beim zweiten Mal Auf-die-Uhr-Schauen, begreife ich, dass meine beiden Mitstreiter nicht so gut schlafen können und deshalb eine frühzeitige Weiterfahrt angesagt ist.

Ligurische Grenzkammstrasse vor 17 Uhr

Die Stimmung bei Sonnenaufgang hat es mir besonders angetan, wenn die ersten wärmenden Sonnenstrahlen die Feuchtigkeit der Nacht in kleinen Nebelschwaden aufsteigen lässt und die Müdigkeit der Nacht langsam von einem abfällt. Das Roadbook führt parallel zur Küste in einer weiten Schlaufe erst nach Westen, um dann in Richtung Col de Tende zum Alpen Hauptkamm zurückzukehren.

Als wir am frühen Nachmittag in Garessio, dem nächsten Verpflegungsposten, eintreffen, haben wir noch mehr als die Hälfte dieser Hardalpitour Extreme vor uns. Zur Stärkung ziehen wir uns eine grosse Portion Pasta rein und zum Dessert gibt es im Schatten der Bäume eine Mütze voll Schlaf. Im Roadbook steht beim Einstieg in die Ligurische Grenzkammstrasse «Attenzione: Strada chiuso dopo le 17:00», was uns eine knappe Stunde zum Schlafen lässt, sonst verpassen wir das Zeitfenster.

Darf es auch etwas „härter“ sein?

Die Ligurische Grenzkammstrasse im sanften Licht der frühen Abendsonne unter die Räder zu nehmen, ist landschaftlich und fahrtechnisch ein wahrer Genuss. Wir haben einen zügigen Rhythmus gefunden und nutzen das bereits schwindende Tageslicht, um noch ordentlich Kilometer zu machen. Stunden später arbeiten wir uns einen steinigen, mit losem Geröll übersäten Hang hinauf und ich denke noch, «hätte ich bloss die Vliesjacke nicht angezogen». Im Roadbook ist der Abschnitt als «hard» markiert, was ich nicht registriert habe. Auch das «very hard», einige Kilometer weiter, sehe ich erst als wir mitten drinstecken. Zu dritt und mit viel Muskelkraft wuchten wir eine vor uns querstehende Grossenduro aus dem Steilhang. Die groben Felsabsätze und das lose Geröll sind bei trockener Witterung anspruchsvoll, bei Nässe wird dieser Abschnitt wahrscheinlich sehr selektiv.

Galleria del Seguret – Tunnel zur Unterwelt

Schon beim Sichten der GPS-Daten auf dem Computer ist mir die Routenführung der diesjährigen Hardalpitour Extreme über den Monte Jafferau aufgefallen, insbesondere die Befahrung des rund 900 m langen, unbeleuchteten Tunnels in der Ost-Anfahrt, welcher viele Jahre selbst für Fussgänger komplett gesperrt war. Die Befahrung der Galleria del Seguret lässt Gedanken an die Unterwelt, wie man sie aus Fantasy Filmen wie «Der Herr der Ringe» kennt, aufkommen. Schmal, kalt und stockdunkel, scheint einem der Tunnel schon nach wenigen Metern verschluckt zu haben.

Keine Geräusche von aussen, nur das polternde Echo der Motoren in den Ohren, holpern wir durch die mit Pfützen übersäte Felsröhre. Das Gipfel-Fort des 2805 Meter hohen Monte Jafferau steht nicht im Roadbook, doch bei so strahlendem Wetter können wir nicht widerstehen. Die halbstündige Extra-Tour belohnt uns mit einer begeisternden Rundumsicht. Am gegenüberliegenden Bergzug sind bereits die Liftanlagen von Sestriere zu erkennen, das Ziel naht …

Event Hardalpitour Extreme – Originalton Veranstalter: «Sehr lange Strecke, Offroad-Fahren bei Nacht, geeignet für erfahrene Motorradfahrer, keine Übernachtung!» Die Hardalpitour ist kein Rennen. Gefahren wird in Dreierteams, die bereits bei der Anmeldung genannt werden müssen. Mindestgewicht für die Motorräder: 150 kg, min. ein für Track-Navigation geeignetes GPS-Gerät pro Team. Jedes Team muss einen vom Veranstalter gestellten GPS-Tracker (Kaution) mitführen.

Hard Alpi Tour : Les dates 2023 des HAT SERIES et toutes les nouveautés

Pour fêter les 15 ans du hard alpi tour, over2000riders nous offre une version extreme de 1’000 km et plusieurs nouveaux événements dont un voyage de 7 jours, le hat master balkans et un trip routier, le hat 500 bitumenduro., voici le calendrier des événements 2023.

Comme chaque année, nous vous présentons le calendrier des événements organisés par l’association Over2000Riders . Pour 2023,  la 15ème édition du Hard Alpi Tour offre son lot de nouveautés.

8-9-10 Septembre 2023 : HAT Sanremo-Sestriere

Tout d’abord, en plus de la variante HAT EXTREME de 900 km (comptez entre 40 à 42 heures), s’ajoute une version HAT EXTREME 1000 limitée à 40 participants. Pour se lancer dans ce marathon de 1’000 km, il faut au minimum avoir déjà participé une fois au HAT Extreme et être prêt à tenir plus de 44 heures sur la moto!

A côté des variantes HAT CLASSIC (24 heures) et HAT DISCOVERY (2 jours avec une nuit d’hôtel), on trouve désormais le HAT VINTAGE pour toutes les motos immatriculées avant 1984. Cette nouvelle catégorie aura son tracé dédié et se déroulera sur une journée sans conduite de nuit.

3-10 Juillet 2023 : HAT MASTER BALKANS

Le HAT Master Balkans est LA nouveauté 2023 . Initialement prévu puis annulé en 2020 à cause du Covid, il aura cette fois lieu en 2023.

Plus de 2’000 km de off-road à parcourir en 7 jours au travers de 8 pays ! Ce sera un vrai challenge de régularité qui vous permettra de découvrir les magnifiques paysages des Balkans. Attention, l’événement est limité à 50 participants!

7-8 Juillet 2023 : HAT BITUMENDO 500

Ce nouvel événement 100% routier de 500 km se déroulera sur une longue journée et vous fera découvrir les routes les plus sinueuses de la région Appennino Tosco-emiliano. Pour vous donner un idée, la vitesse moyenne de référence du tracé est de 39km/h !

14-16 Juillet 2023 : HAT PAVIA-SANREMO

La 5ème édition du HAT Pavia-Sanremo vous offre toujours 2 catégories, Classic (450 km) et Discovery (390 km) et est l’événement idéal pour ceux qui souhaitent participer pour la première fois à un tel événement. C’est également une bonne préparation pour le HAT Sanremo-Sestriere, plus difficile.

22-23 avril 2023: HAT BOBBIO ADVENTOURFEST

2ème édition de cet événement, le premier de la saison, qui se déroule à Bobbio. Chaque jour, un tracé off-road de 120 km accompagné d’un guide est proposé. De plus, il est possible d’essayer les nouveaux modèles de KTM, Suzuki, Honda, Triumph et Guzzi. L’événement est gratuit!

17-18 juin 2023: HAT PONTE DI LEGNO ADVENTOURFEST

Première édition pour cet événement qui offre un programme similaire à celui de Bobbio. Chaque jour, des tracé de 120 km accompagné d’un guide sont proposés. Il sera également possible d’essayer les derniers modèles de trails de KTM, Suzuki, Honda, Triumph et Guzzi. L’événement est également gratuit.

1-2 juillet 2023: HAT SESTRIERE ADVENTOURFEST et IN MOTO OLTRE LE NUVOLE

5ème édition pour cet événement qui est le premier des Adventourfests et 11ème édition de In Moto oltre le Nuvole. A Sestriere les tours guidés coûtent 120 euros pour 1 jour et 180 euros pour les 2 jours. En petits groupes vous découvrirez les magnifiques anciennes pistes militaires de la région.

Il sera également possible d’essayer les derniers modèles de trails de KTM, Suzuki, Honda, Triumph et Guzzi.

• I have changed the original Yuasa battery with a lithium one: 6,010 Kg vs 1,219 Kg = - 4.791 Kg (!!!!)
• I have bought a second-hand muffler for the Stelvio from a friend of mine (Exan). I didn't care about the sound, just about the weight! Original muffler vs Exan muffler = 7.937866 Kg vs 2.91 Kg = - 5.02 Kg (!!!)
• Move all tools and spare parts in a lower position. I used a little nylon bag for bicycle to store them. I have mounted near to pegs by using a couple of zip-ties.
• unmount the passenger-pegs (they are useless in offroad)
• unmount one mirror (or both)
• unmount the top-case as well the underlying plate (also, the original plate from Moto Guzzi if you can)

15ª Edizione Hard Alpi Tour “Sanremo-Sestriere”

Hard alpi tour: quindici anni di avventure ed emozioni per la regina degli adventouring internazionali. un’edizione memorabile, una festa con tanti partecipanti di più nazionalità e tanti campioni del mondo dei rally, dell’enduro e della dakar. .

Ma la novità più importante sarà l’introduzione di una nuova sfida con un nuovo percorso.  Si chiamerà  EXTREME 1000  ed il nome dice tutto. Vuole essere la HAT delle HAT, un vero cimento di 1000 km tutti d’un fiato, di notte e di giorno, per 40 piloti selezionati per i quali verrà riservato un trattamento particolare tra cui un ristoro-bivacco speciale in mezzo alla natura. Alla  HAT EXTREME 1000   si parteciperà da soli  nel più puro spirito d’avventura per consacrarsi top adventouriders.

La   HAT SANREMO – SESTRIERE, già nota come HARDALPITOUR,  è  un viaggio/cavalcata attraverso le Alpi di Liguria e Piemonte da affrontare  senza ambizione agonistica, ma condividendo la passione per la moto e volto alla riscoperta dei percorsi sterrati e strade a fondo naturale delle Alpi. La sua caratteristica principale, che la differenzia da tutti gli altri eventi motociclistici di adventouring, è la guida in notturna: un’esperienza indimenticabile! Per questo sono richieste autonomia e responsabilità: ogni partecipante valuterà liberamente i tracciati previsti forniti, potrà fermarsi per riposarsi nei punti di ristoro dislocati lungo tutto il percorso, per arrivare alla meta di Sestriere.

Quest’anno ci saranno cinque categorie:

• la HAT Vintage, riservata alle moto immatricolate prima del 1993
• la HAT Discovery, un “entry level” con percorso diviso in due giornate, senza la guida in notturna
• la HAT Classic, la tradizionale cavalcata di 24 h con guida notturna
• la HAT Extreme, dedicata ai più ardimentosi, con 36 h di guida e due notturne, con numero di partecipanti limitato.
• la HAT Extreme 1000, riservata a coloro che abbiano partecipato almeno una volta alla HAT SANREMO SESTRIERE EXTREME.

La 15a edizione della   HAT SANREMO – SESTRIERE  avrà luogo dall’ 8 al 10 settembre 2023. Il luogo di ritrovo e partenza sarà SANREMO, l’arrivo a SESTRIERE.

IMPORTANTE:  Per partecipare alla HAT SANREMO SESTRIERE  è obbligatorio tesserarsi a Over2000riders+ AICS, secondo la formula indicata nella pagina “Adesione all’Associazione”. Sarà possibile iscriversi alla associazione OVER2000RIDERS e all’evento contestualmente, con un unico ordine online e un unico pagamento. La tessera AICS necessaria sarà rilasciata a partire dal decimo giorno successivo alla data di pagamento dell’iscrizione e da quella data sarà utilizzabile.

ATTENZIONE: L’iscrizione online alla HAT SANREMO SESTRIERE costituisce una semplice prenotazione con validità di 2 settimane, trascorse le quali, in mancanza di pagamento, la vostra prenotazione verrà cancellata. La partecipazione viene confermata solo nel momento in cui il vostro bonifico sarà pervenuto sul conto Over2000riders e avrete ricevuto la mail di conferma, completa di ricevuta di pagamento.

La HAT Sanremo Sestriere è giunta alla sua 15a edizione, e stiamo studiando nuove iniziative per renderla   ancora più coinvolgente.

• La sede di partenza sarà ancora la città di Sanremo. Confermiamo sia il primo tratto di percorso nell ’ entroterra  ligure, attraverso i comuni di Bajardo, Apricale e Pigna,  sia dei nuovi tratti  nelle Vie Marenche    che sono stati molto apprezzati da tutti i partecipanti.
• La versione     VINTAGE    è riservata alle moto immatricolate  prima del  1993 , ha durata di un giorno (sabato 9 settembre), ha un percorso dedicato, ed è destinata a coloro che desiderino guidare la loro moto “storica” lungo un percorso  ADVENTOURING.  La versione  VINTAGE partirà il sabato mattina e terminerà il sabato sera a BOVES.
• La versione  DISCOVERY  di questa  15a  edizione HAT  avrà durata di due giorni e  sarà possibile parteciparvi sia  singolarmente sia in gruppo (di due) . Il percorso del primo giorno coinciderà con quello della Classic, con pernottamento a carico del  partecipante il sabato notte nella zona  di  Boves. La ripartenza avrà luogo la domenica mattina su parte del percorso della Classic con alcuni nuovi tratti su strade sterrate. La Discovery è la categoria adatta a chi si vuole avvicinare per la prima volta alla HAT e vuole vivere l’atmosfera del viaggio senza l’impegno della guida per 24 ore consecutive con notturna.
• La versione  CLASSIC  è quella tradizionale, adatta a motociclisti già esperti che vogliono cimentarsi in una 24 ore non-stop con guida in notturna. Parte il sabato mattina e arriva la domenica pomeriggio a Sestriere.  Rispetto  all’edizione del 2022 sono previsti con alcuni nuovi tratti su strade sterrate.
• Per la versione  EXTREME il numero di posti è limitato a 140 . Parte il venerdì sera e termina a Sestriere la domenica pomeriggio. Si tratta di un vero viaggio  della durata di circa 40-42 ore, su di un percorso di circa 900 km. I piloti potranno usufruire del supporto logistico dei  punti di ristoro  indicati e da un punto di sosta/riposo dedicato ed attrezzato al coperto. Si conferma il transito a Punta Fraiteve a 2700 mt s.l.m. con l’impegnativa discesa  verso Sestriere.
• La versione  EXTREME MILLE  è la versione celebrativa della 15a edizione della HAT SANREMO SESTRIERE,  è destinata solo a coloro che veramente vogliano vivere un’esperienza di viaggio  avventuroso in solitaria, lungo percorsi impegnativi, una sfida per mettere alla prova le proprie capacità di guida e di navigazione ma in sicurezza potendo contare sull’assistenza sanitaria dell’organizzazione. Riservata a chi abbia partecipato almeno una volta alla HAT EXTREME, la EXTREME MILLE ha  solo 40 posti. La lunghezza percorso è di circa 1000 km con nuovi tratti inediti e sfidanti.   Parte il venerdì sera e termina a Sestriere la domenica pomeriggio. Si tratta di un vero viaggio  della durata di circa 44 ore, su di un percorso di circa 1000 km.  I piloti potranno usufruire del supporto logistico e di servizi riservati alla categoria EXTREME MILLE.

Sono ammesse  alla manifestazione le  moto pluricilindriche da entro-fuoristrada e quelle monocilindriche non specialistiche, con peso superiore ai 150 kg, dotate di impianto di illuminazione perfettamente funzionante e con requisiti tecnici conformi al Codice della Strada.

Requisiti mezzi e categorie particolari:

• Per ciascun gruppo  è ammessa la presenza di una motocicletta con peso inferiore ai 150   kg , quindi tale gruppo potrà essere composto da due moto con peso superiore ai 150 kg e una moto con peso inferiore ai 150 kg.
• I piloti di sesso femminile  possono partecipare con moto con peso inferiore ai 150 kg, purché a 4 tempi.
• I piloti minorenni  posso partecipare con moto con peso inferiore ai 150 kg (nella stessa squadra dovrà essere presente uno dei genitori del minorenne).
• Per gli scooter  non esiste limite di peso, ma devono essere maggiori di 125cc

Per i partecipanti  di  età  inferiore ai 21 anni  al momento dell’iscrizione è  previsto uno  sconto sulla quota di partecipazione.

Aderholt visits jobsite in Tuscaloosa along ABC Alabama’s hard hat tour

U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt visited Harrison Construction’s Tuscaloosa job site at DCH Regional Medical Center on Monday.

Aderholt (R-Haleyville) made the visit as part of the 2024 Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama Congressional Hard Hat Tour. The tour allows Alabama’s federal delegation to visit active job sites and gain firsthand knowledge of the state’s construction industry.

During his tour, Aderholt spoke with industry leaders and frontline construction workers about the construction industry’s issues.

“ I have always been a supporter of ABC and builders like Harrison Construction that follow the philosophy of the merit-based shop,” he said. “I was excited to see some of the work that Harrison is doing at DCH Medical Center that will directly benefit the health of my constituents in the Fourth Congressional District.”

“It’s always good for elected leaders to see first-hand these projects and the people who are making them happen.”

Harrison Construction’s President Tim Harrison said Aderholt has played a vital role in protecting commercial construction within the state.

Commercial construction is currently being crippled by regulatory overreach and burdensome legislation, and the Congressman has been front and center fighting for us.”

During the tour, delegation members will also meet with industry leaders and frontline construction workers to craft forward-thinking solutions that promote the industry’s advancement.

On Friday, August 16, Congressman Mike Rogers continued the 2024 Congressional Hard Hat Tour organized by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Alabama with a visit to a Goodgame Company job site at Associated Metal Cast in Oxford.

During the tour, Congressman Rogers engaged with industry leaders and frontline construction workers, discussing key challenges faced by the construction sector. The conversations centered around reducing regulatory burdens, implementing a market-driven visa program to address workforce needs while discouraging illegal immigration, and exploring other workforce development strategies.

“I was happy to tour the new Associated Metal Cast warehouse facility in Oxford,” said Rep. Rogers. “Sites like this showcase how business and growth-friendly Alabama is. Far too often, Washington gets in the way of industry growth and piles on overburdensome regulations. With the help of industry leaders like these, we can work together to keep Alabama prosperous.”

Jason A. Goodgame, Corporate Vice President of the Goodgame Company, highlighted the economic potential of East Alabama following the tour. “East Alabama has a great opportunity to be our state’s next big economic engine. It was great to showcase some of that progress with Congressman Rogers and discuss our concerns about the detrimental policies coming out of Washington that could cripple our industry.”

The ABC Alabama’s Hard Hat Tour offers Alabama’s federal delegation the chance to visit active job sites, gaining firsthand insight into the state’s construction industry. The tour facilitates discussions between delegation members, industry leaders, and workers to address industry challenges and craft forward-thinking solutions that support the sector’s continued growth.
