Shania Twain coming to Knoxville’s Thompson-Boling Arena, tickets to support good cause

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Five-time Grammy winner and best-selling female country artist Shania Twain announced the second leg of her 2023 “Queen of Me” tour Tuesday, featuring a stop in Knoxville.

The tour will kick off on Oct. 12, 2023 in Antonio, Texas and include a stop at Thompson-Boling Arena on Oct. 16. The tour will also stop near Knoxville in Nashville and Raleigh, North Carolina. The tour will mark Twain’s first time on the road in nearly five years after performing in Las Vegas.

Those interested in getting tickets can do so at LiveNation.com starting Dec. 16, 2022. Additionally, those with Citi cards will get early access to the sale, jumping in line on Dec. 13 at 10 a.m.

Twain and Live Nation also announced that $1 of every ticket purchased will support Shania Kids Can , an organization aimed at promoting positive change in children’s lives. The group provides academic support, snacks and meal programs.

Today, five-time GRAMMY® Award-winning legend and the best-selling female artist in country music history  Shania Twain  announced the second leg of her 2023  Queen of Me Tour . Due to phenomenal demand following the wildly successful announcement of the first leg, Shania is adding  19 new fall dates  to her highly anticipated tour. The tour is in support of Shania’s forthcoming album  Queen of Me , out February 3, 2023 – pre-order/pre-save  HERE .

Produced by Live Nation, leg two kicks off on Thursday, October 12th in San Antonio, TX at AT&T Center with stops across North America in Nashville, TN, Toronto, ON, Buffalo, NY, Edmonton, AB and more before wrapping up on Tuesday, November 14th at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC. The Queen of Me Tour marks one of Shania Twain’s biggest tours to date with over 70 dates taking place across North America and Europe next year. This is also her first tour in nearly five years, following a highly successful residency run in Las Vegas.

This evening, Shania Twain will also receive the  Music Icon  award at the  2022 People’s Choice Awards . Thompson-Bowling Area, Knoxville, TX

This multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville originally opened in 1987 and is home to the Tennessee Volunteers basketball teams.  The mammoth octagonal building lies just northwest of the Tennessee River and just southwest of Neyland Stadium. The arena has a seating capacity of 21,678. At one time it was the largest facility ever built specifically for basketball in the United States with seating for 24,535 until its 2007 renovation.
