Enterprise NX-01

By rebekah 6 February 2024

“On this site, a powerful engine will be built. An engine that will someday help us to travel a hundred times faster than we can today. Imagine it – thousands of inhabited planets at our fingertips… and we’ll be able to explore those strange new worlds, and seek out new life and new civilizations. This engine will let us go boldly… where no man has gone before.”

– Zefram Cochrane

Now, for the first time, Commanders can experience the ship that took humanity on its first steps out on its trek through the stars! The Enterprise NX-01 saved the galaxy from the threat of the mysterious Sphere Builders and their pawns the Xindi once before, and now it’s here to do it again. Far from an obsolete museum piece, the NX-01 is equipped with special systems designed to counter the Xindi, and give you the edge over these formidable adversaries.

star trek fleet command enterprise blueprints cost

Let’s take a closer look at this arc’s new ship and what it has to offer.

The Enterprise NX-01 is available to players Ops 40 and above , and brings with it an improved efficiency for the Ex-Borg Faction Extension. Upgrading the NX-01 will unlock unique rewards, such as new Favors and faster paths to the top tiers of existing Favors. The NX-01 will also be added to Field Training , with its own rewards there.

The NX-01 offers a daily source of Ex-Borg credits of all rarities, it’s also the only way to source the brand new officer Epic PIC Hugh, and as you tier up the ship, your daily income of PIC Hugh shards grows. Let’s take a look at PIC Hugh:

Epic PIC Hugh

PIC Hugh’s BDA ability allows him to be highly versatile across all warships, repairing a percentage of hull health damage taken each round. Mining ability is completely new and unique – loot boost your mining! Just make sure you still have some room in your cargo for his extra materials…

star trek fleet command enterprise blueprints cost

PIC Hugh is exclusively sourced via the Enterprise NX-01 Refinery. The greater the tier of your NX-01 the more shards you’ll get.

  • Increase the amount of raw Ore, Crystal and Gas collected while mining with any ship by an extra X%, without draining the mining node faster.
  • 5% / 7% / 10% / 15% / 25%
  • At the end of each round of combat, repair X% of hull damage taken during that round of combat.
  • 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% / 35%

The NX-01 also brings with it a large cargo bay for OPC hunting, and focuses on HHP instead of SHP. As a result, officers that rely on diverting incoming damage to the shields will be less effective on this ship, but research and other effects that amplify HHP will be a lot more effective. This opens up the door for players to really dive into strategy on how they will be using it.

NX-01 Refit

star trek fleet command enterprise blueprints cost

For the first time at launch, there is also a refit launching with this update that will be available in the NX-01 Refinery, which will cost credits to unlock. Once you unlock the refit, it not only gives you a stat boost, but also a free claim bundle of Parsteel, Tritanium and Dilithium. At Operations 61+ and ship tier 7, this claim will unlock Sigma resources as well, which progressing players will find helpful.

The NX-01’s Ship Loop expands upon Update 62’s Ex-Borg Faction Extension which was released in January. This loop includes 15 new themed systems containing Xindi-Aquatic hostiles which can only be defeated using the NX-01.

In order to travel to these systems, you will need to have a Delphic Expanse Travel Token, which is sourced exclusively from the NX-01 refinery. This will cost Xindi-scraps, which are obtained by defeating Xindi-Reptilian hostiles. Players who’ve unlocked the refit for the NX-01 can also claim a 2nd travel token each day via the refit’s free claim bundle!

star trek fleet command enterprise blueprints cost

Xindi-Aquatic Hostiles exist in 2 variations: Interceptors and Battleships. Xindi Interceptors are low risk and a steady target for your Delphic expanse activity.  Battleships are MUCH more high risk (and high reward) with a set chance of destroying your ship in the beginning of combat.  If you survive though, and defeat the ship, you will be richly rewarded. These are a good target at the end of your Delphic Expanse run; a big payout or a shortcut back to your station. Loot from these hostiles can be exchanged in the NX-01 Refinery to obtain Ex-Borg Credits, and Epic Credits can be exchanged to obtain PIC Hugh shards and other valuable rewards.

Players will want to take a look at one of the officers coming out this month, as they will play an integral role in the efficiency of the NX-01 : Jonathan Archer.

star trek fleet command enterprise blueprints cost

Archer’s CM maximizes your time on the NX-01, especially when he’s joined on board by Trip Tucker and Janeway. He gives a massive boost to Xindi loot drops, as well as a powerful increase in crit damage. As the son of the engineer Henry Archer who developed the Warp 5 Engine used by the ship, Archer is meant for the captain’s chair.

  • Increases the amount of resources you get from destroying Xindi hostiles by X%.
  • 300% (base) / 50% (synergy) / 100% (synergy)
  • When you take damage from a hostile or another player, Archer increases your Critical Hit damage by X% for 2 rounds.
  • 5% / 10% / 20% / 30% / 50%
  • Note: This ability can stack, and it does not trigger at Armadas or Assaults. Weapons with multiple shots will only trigger this ability once per attack.

Strategic Crewing

Players can be strategic in how they choose to crew the NX-01; with Archer taking the captain’s chair, we can see the following crews being particular favorable:

  • Archer/Tucker/Janeway, Ent-E Picard, or Data – Isolytic boosts
  • Archer/Tucker/PIC Beverly – Lean in on the crit damage boosts from Archer
  • Archer/Tucker/5of11 – Lean in on loot boosting
  • Archer/Tucker/Khan – In place of Hugh, Khan will quickly improve crit rate
  • Archer/Tucker/Gorkon or Lorca – Hull breach means more damage from the crits.

For more about Jonathan Archer and what all he brings to the game, make sure to check out this month’s official Patch Notes on our website.

Reveal Deep Space

The NX-01 has an Active Ship Ability to Reveal Deep Space Systems for a period of time, as long as the player has visited the system at least once before. Players may find this particularly useful in Territory Capture to peek into other systems and see which have been left undefended, start Deep Space armadas without having to first be in the system, or even scout token mining spaces to make sure there’s a free spot for your miner.

star trek fleet command enterprise blueprints cost

Here’s how it works: Open the Galaxy Map and select your NX-01 ship. While the ship is selected, you can select a deep space system, which reveals a new button for Deep Space Reveal. After tapping on the button, a player will have to confirm the use of NX-Isolinear Arrays, and then the system will display an icon and timer while the system is revealed.

We are excited to be bringing more content to the world of Star Trek Fleet Command, and for this release, our team is trying something particularly new; players can head to our website tomorrow during launch and find a special promo code to claim free Enterprise NX-01 Blueprints on Day 1. Catch you on launch day, commanders! LLAP 🖖

How to Get Ship Blueprints in Star Trek Fleet Command

When you’re playing a game titled Star Trek Fleet Command , it becomes quickly apparent that upgrading to bigger and better ships would very obviously be a wise investment. More ships in your fleet means more units to send out to mine for resources and engage with hostile targets. Though some ships can be unlocked through research in the R & D Department, for others, you will have to acquire ship blueprints through force. Blueprints will typically be in the possession of high-level enemies, and it will most definitely be a challenge to take them down. Here’s how to get ship blueprints in Star Trek Fleet Command .

If you are not confident about your current fleet’s combat capabilities, it may be worth focusing on improving your R & D Department first in order to bolster your fleet’s numbers.

- STAR TREK BLUEPRINTS DATABASE - - Updates Page - [ARCHIVE 2007-2022] - RETURN TO BLUEPRINTS INDEX PAGE -

I'm closing out the year with a bit of house cleaning, so to speak. Three existing pages have been updated with numerous new schematics and blueprints. Starting off with the Schematics from Around the Web page, I've added a high-resolution scan of the single-page blueprint of the Alaska Class Battlecruiser which was also dubbed the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-C. Created by Temporal Graphics of Sutton, Massachusetts back in 1988, this great scan comes courtesy of David Underwood. Next up is a long-awaited update to the U.S.S. Akira Page . Daniel Kuykendall supplied us with the carefully stitched together images from the original set of 18 panels. You can see the nine new sheets at the bottom of the page. Another FASA update for today; this time I've uploaded the 40-page Star Fleet Officer's Manual which provides complete details on how to play FASA's Star Trek Role-Playing Game. More to come!

Our latest update expands on the FASA technical manual section of the site with the addition of the FASA Ship Construction Manual . This 80-page manual has been one of the cornerstones of the FASA Role Playing Game for decades. On a side note, I would very much like to include as many FASA manuals to this site as possible. While I have several in PDF forms, if you have access to others not currently available here, please drop me a line . Thanks and, as always, enjoy-

Last June, I uploaded the First Edition of the Orion Ship Recognition Manual . Created in 2010, this fan-based manual went through a significant updated four years later, resulting in an expanded second edition, which is now online and features thirteen additional pages. Click HERE to see the new edition, with a download link available at the bottom of the page for a PDF version of the original edition. Thanks to Nathan Kaiser for sharing this updated manual. Enjoy-

The first of many updates to come this month is a recently uncovered FASA-inspired technical manual by the late Neale Davidson, the prolific illustrator behind the Jaynz series of technical manuals and schematics. In 2007, he produced the Star Fleet: Ships of the FASA Role-Playing Game (Datapack 01) manual which features details on fifteen of the TOS-era starships that were featured heavily in FASA's Star Trek Role Playing Game. More to come... Enjoy-

Happy Belated New Year, everyone. Apologies for the lack of updates over the past several weeks; the holidays and life often get in the way. For today, I bring you another set of deck plans that have been added to the JBots Deck Plans collection. This time around, the focus is on the Tokyo-Class Destroyer In other news, I have a significant stock-pile of updates that I'm putting the finishing touches on. As a continuation of the last update, I've now uploaded The Voyager Project which is an ongoing project that aims to blueprint each of the U.S.S. Voyager sets/rooms. In addition, Jim Botaitis has spent some time on his collection of Deck Plans of late where he corrected some issues, made some formatting adjustments, and added some additional nuances to each set. Finally with this latest update, we now have over 10,000 blueprints sheets online. Phew! Enjoy-

Apologies for the lack of updates of late. The second season of Lower Decks has been dominating much of my time. But that said, I have plenty in the hopper regarding blueprint updates, including something quite different for this go-around. Drawn by Redgeneral back in 2019 is a 103-page set of blueprints titled The Runabout Project . This blueprint set, which is also available as a PDF document at the bottom of the page, attempts to blueprint the actual Runabout Cockpit filming set created for DS9. As such, there are some great details included. I hope you enjoy it. More to come...

I'm really excited about this update. I've uploaded two massive technical manuals that were created by Richard E. Mandel as part of his Mandel's Fighting Starships Series . First up is the 377-page Federation Fleet Review manual which has details on dozens upon dozens of starships. Next is the Guide to the Klingon Fleet , a 260+ page manual that may be the most detailed Klingon manual out there. Both are certain to provide hours of enjoyment. Enjoy-

We have another new Ship Recognitional Manual from Michael A. Taylor that has just been added to the site. For this entry, Michael focused on the beloved Constituion Class starship. Click HERE to view the 25-page manual. Enjoy-

Way back in 1980, Do-Ming Lum created a large-scale four-sheet blueprint set that compared the changes of the Enterprise from the original TOS-era version to the new TMP-era edition. These blueprint sheets have popped up in the past, but only on rare occassion. That said, I'm happy to showcase them on the site on this page . Enjoy-

Federation Ship Recognition Manual - 2385 Edition Klingon Ship Recognition Manual - 2385 Edition Romulan Ship Recognition Manual - 2385 Edition

Michael A. Taylor is back again with another detailed Ship Recognition Manual. This time his efforts were spent on the Phobos Class Perimeter Action Ship; the same ship seen during the opening of Star Trek: Of Gods and Men , among other places. Click HERE to view the 24-page manual. Enjoy-

Michael A. Taylor, the creator of the Starfleet Recognition Manual: Rank Identification and Rate Requirements , is back with a new manual. His latest, the Star Fleet Command Department: Uniform and Field Equipment Identification Guide is an extensive 224-page manual that covers details of numerous Star Fleet uniforms, from general duty uniforms to formal duty uniforms to field uniforms and more. The manual also looks at various field equipment and small arms. Many thanks to Michael for continuing to share his great manuals with us here. Enjoy-

For this week's technical manual entry, we're going back to 1980 when fan-produced items were plentiful. Enter a 40-page manual titled simply From the Files of Star Fleet Command . To this day it's unclear who actually produced this manual, though through its similarities to the U.S.S. Enterprise Officer's Manual which also came out in 1980, it's possible that Doug Drexler and Geoffrey Mandel may have had a hand in creating this one. Enjoy-

This week brings two new updates. Up first is another Star Fleet Starship Recognition Manual from Delta Dynamics. Taking inspiration from the Spaceflight Chronology, their latest SRM is based on the Galileo Experimental Propulsion Ship . Up next is another tech manual from Chris Wallce; the Starship Datafile - Volume Two: 2325-2425 . Enjoy-

Happy Trek Technical Manual Monday, everyone. As promised this week's entry delves into the Klingon Empire with a close look at many of their ships. The Klingon Military Power: Volume One: Ships technical manual is another entry from Chris Wallace. It was created back in 2003 and, though it's listed as Volume One, there were no further volumes produced; atleast none that I am aware of. Mulitple updates coming next week (or sooner...) Enjoy-

For this week's Star Trek Technical Manual Monday, I've uploaded a double-set from prolific author and artist Chris Wallace. Back at the turn of the century, Chris produced a two volume set of Starship Recognition Guides focusing on the early days of Trek (TOS) as well as TNG. You can check out volume one HERE and volume two HERE . Next week's entry focuses on the Klingon Empire. Until then- Enjoy-

Scanned and uploaded one of the last remaining sets from Federation Frontiers. The Federation Shuttlecraft Identification Chart contains one large sheet that details eleven differnt shuttlecrafts including the rarely seen Aquashuttle from The Animated Series . In addition to the primary sheet, which is available in 15,000 and 7,500 pixel wide editions, there are four pages of additional information detailing the Development, Operation, Design, and Technology behind these crafts. Enjoy-

Another Monday, another new Star Trek technical manual. This time we're going back to 1980 when Stan Goldstein and Fred Goldstein, with the artistic help of Rick Sternbach, put together the amazing Star Trek: Spaceflight Chronology ; a massive technical manual that details "...the illustrated history of ... spaceflight, evolution and development..." This has long been one of my favorite Star Trek books of any type for years (decades!). For those who have not yet experienced it, you're in for a treat. Other updates this week include two new cutaways added to the Starship Cutaways by Rusted Gear Art page. Next week brings a double--manual update. Until then... Enjoy-

Happy Star Trek Manual Monday, everyone. For this week I've uploaded a fan-produced favorite from the early 1990's - the incredibly detailed Starfleet Dynamics from David John Schmidt, Roger Wright, Robert Day, Janet Reeves, Kevin Atkinson. This is the earlier version of the manual which was later updated with information from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. I do apologize in advance for the scan quality of some of the pages. This is a manual that I did not personally scan myself but rather received from a friend. We also have a few more updates this week. First, Michael Taylor's Ship Recognition Manual for the U.S.S. Coppertop NCC-23400 has been completely revised and updated. Additionally, two new bridge layouts have been added to the Star Fleet Bridge Variations page (Thanks J.L. Garner!) Next week brings another vintage and highly regarded manual that I'm sure you'll all appreciate. Until then- Enjoy-

Happy Monday, everyone. Over the next few months, Monday will unofficially become Star Trek Technical Manual Monday . Each Monday, I will be uploading a new Trek Technical Manual to the site. As I've done with many manuals in the past, I will share both the individual images of each page along with a downloadable PDF version of the entire book. To start things off this week, I'd like to share the first (of many) instruction manual from the new Eaglemoss Build the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D . The subscription-based 1701-D model will include new manuals with each shipment from Eaglemoss. As those are released, I will upload them here over time. Next week comes a fan favorite from years past. Enjoy-

THEY ARE BACK!!!! First, I must apologize for the extended absence of the availability of these in hard-copy form. My original 'tame' printer had gone out of business thus removing any possibility of reproducing mass quantities of prints at a reasonable cost. Second, the trials and tribulations of raising a very young child got in the way of finding a viable replacement printer. Eventually I had to take matters into my own hands and am now doing my own on-demand printing! Because of this I have also done a few minor edits to the blueprints by resetting all of the type so that it is more legible, cleaning up the backgrounds on each of the 13 pages (since there had been some fading on each of the drawings from light exposure), replacement of the pattern overlays because of the print bleeding that was occurring, and the fixing of a few typos. Due to these changes I am referring to the new blueprints as version 1.1. The cost of these new blueprints has NOT changed and is still $35.00. This is a flat fee for all domestic sales (U.S.). (Version 1.0 is no longer available as it is in embarrassingly poor condition.) If you you live outside the continental U.S. and would like the blueprints please contact be via email and let me know where you live and I will send you a quote based on your destination; the charge will not be much more since I already account for part of the shipping in the base price. Also, I now take payment by Paypal using the following email address ( [email protected] ). If you wish to pay by credit card or bank card you can use Paypal directly. If you would like to pay by check or money order, I will have a P.O. box available on request. Additionally, by the beginning of 2011 (January) I will have a color version of the drawings available, due to the fact that the drawings are now scanned and digitized. The color version will be slightly more expensive (though I don't expect them to exceed $60, possibly less, mostly the cost of ink). One last thing... because I am doing this "on-demand", this means I'm pretty much on my own, so once I get an order it may take a few days to get a set of prints finished. Right now I am averaging about one set a day, so keep in mind there may be a queue involved; first come first served. (And I do have a day job, too!)
"...I have recently updated my site with version 2.0 of my Enterprise NX-01 Deck Plans and Schematics. I have kicked everything up a notch, loaded them with more detail, and overhauled the plan sheets. And I have added six more detail plans for a total of forty-two. I also have six more on the way. I plan to add sheets for a Side Cutaway, the Inspection Pod, Space Suits, Uniforms/Rank, Away Team Equipment, Medical Equipment, Starfleet Weapons and MACO Weapons. I hope to have them finished off by the end of the summer..."

Carnac's Guide to Star Trek Fleet Command

USS Intrepid

Carnac | July 15, 2020 June 15, 2020 | Federation Ships , Ships

The USS Intrepid is the 3rd Federation warship available (after the Mayflower and Saladin ) in Star Trek Fleet Command. It’s a battleship that despite its shortcomings, can be an extremely valuable ship to have in your arsenal.

What the USS Intrepid Is Good At

Destroying hostile ships. And with the Pike Moreau Chen crew on board, you’ll be able to knock off high-level hostiles all day. This is the best faction rep grinders I’ve used so far (just a hair ahead of the B’Rel , which has other advantages). The Intrepid’s Ship Ability is “Frontline Defender,” which increases the ship’s armor, shield deflection, and dodge by 40% right out of the box, and gets up to 130% when you’ve maxed it out at level 45.

intrepid vs hostile

Here you can see my Intrepid with the PMC taking out a 4.8 million strength Federation hostile.

no damage

Looking at the battle log, you can see that this ship and crew took only about 15% hull health damage each round.

blueprint calculator

What It’s Not Great At

It’s not a great PvP ship. The firing pattern is the Achilles heel in this regard. The time it takes to get its weapons charged means you’re going to take a lot of damage before inflicting any, especially in shorter battles.

This same disadvantage is going to hurt you when attacking a station. It doesn’t mean that you can’t use it as a base-cracker, but don’t be surprised when it’s not the monster you might hope it would be.

How You Get the USS Intrepid

You’ll need 120 Intrepid Blueprints, and a level-32 Shipyard to construct the ship. They cost 500 Federation Credits in the Faction store. You’ll need an Associate reputation with the Federation to unlock them. You can also get them in Rare and Epic Armada chests. And you can grind them out in level 32+ Federation space. I managed to grind mine out while I was working on building my Romulan reputation in the Wolf and Sirius systems.

The USS Intrepid as seen in Star Trek Fleet Command doesn’t actually appear onscreen anywhere in any Star Trek. Rather, it’s a stripped-down version of the Newton-class, which appears in the 2009 film. (The Newton also appears in STFC, as a much more advanced ship.)

It duplicates the half-saucer section, and nacelle configuration, but loses the dual lower hulls.

Previous Ships Named Intrepid

The USS Intrepid

The first USS Intrepid was mentioned in the TOS episode Court Martial . It appeared on-screen as a Constitution-class ship with an all-Vulcan crew in The Immunity Syndrome , when it was destroyed.

The next time we heard called Intrepid, it was as the ship that responded to the Khitomer massacre that killed Mogh (Worf’s father) in The Next Generation episodes Sins of the Father and Redemption . It was never seen on screen, but we know from Sergey Rozhenko that it was an Excelsior-class ship.

The next Intrepid we heard about was the one that Geordi LaForge reported having power conversion efficiency tests within the episode, Force of Nature.

Next, the USS  Voyager was an Intrepid-class starship, and finally, there was the Intrepid from the Enterprise episode, The Expanse (pictured below.)
