CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS
"Eric, I wanted to write a sincere thank you for our amazing experience with your two day training option right there in Bend Oregon on September 3rd and 4th. My brother Nick organized this trip. He owns his own KTM and rides often here in Western Colorado. His goal was to ride with us, his two brothers.
- Richard, we're glad if our Training Expedition in Oregon was a positive step forward in building your skillset for adventure riding, and look forward to seeing which bike you end up with : )
- David and Marina Belton enjoyed the variety of riding in Patagonia, from the tight, valley-lined roads to the wide open spaces on our "Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego & Ushuaia!" Self-Guided Motorcycle Trip Package. Come again, and thanks for sharing!
"W hat a fantastic trip. Lovely countries, great people, superb riding all facilitated by a very professional and friendly set up that you provided. Many thanks to all your support staff ahead of the adventure when all questions were responded to promptly and efficiently. I would not hesitate to recommend you to friends and will certainly use ride LLC again in the future.
-Eric Nijman from The Netherlands wrote these kind words on the heels of his Self-Guided, Truck Supported "Full Patagonia Adventure" motorcycle tour in early 2019. So glad you enjoyed, Eric, seems everyone who rides in Patagonia does : )
-Michael Potter and his wife, Helen must have enjoyed themselves, as so many of us do when riding and exploring the incredible land of Peru. They were part of our Guided Group "Machu Picchu Express" tour , and we look forward to riding with them again in the Andes, soon.
-Mark Stewart from Australia on the heels of a successful ride to Alaska with his friend Phil, and our Oregon-based motorcycle rentals . A pair of Africa Twin's, 2 experienced riders, the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, Alberta, the Yukon, and all the moose, elk, bears, and other wildlife along the way, quite a journey a long time in the making. Just loved this picture as two voyagers were headed out of the shop that day. Come again, guys!
-Phill Whitford, thank you very much for your kind words about how your Self-Guided, Fly & DRIVE The Patagonia Experience trip package worked out! Come on back sometime and bring friends...we have motorcycles, too : )
" FYI, I got back to Uvalde Texas yesterday afternoon. It was a great trip, I would sum it up as successful. The hotels, restaurants, and bike you choose were the best. The route and scenery was unbelievable. The weather was a bigger obstacle than I expected as were some of the roads. Nothing really difficult but 2700 miles was a challenge. Did I tell you that I celebrated my 70th birthday during the ride? Also I met lots of interesting people. I’m headed to Colorado to ski in ten days. And then???
- Congratulations to Ed Carnes from Texas for celebrating his 70th year with a successful solo Self-Guided "Fly & RIDE Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego & Ushuaia" trip ! We sometimes wonder if some riders have read too much about the drama of Patagonia's conditions and are turned away as a result. Yes, winds and conditions can be tough sometimes, but Ed just showed us all how to do it: Be patient, keep at it, ride smart without showing off for your friends, and most careful, experienced dual sport riders can enjoy some of the world's best riding safely. This photo taken and recognized as the spot where RIDE Adventures was born by the simple thought " more people need to experience this ." Ed had a few clouds that day, but when that sun cracks and the waters turn bright blue ... oh what a site.
"Eric! We had a f___ing blast. We had a few WiFi-less days at the end or I would have written sooner. Yes- we hit a rabbit (or rather it hit us, pretty sure it was suicidal) in the road btw Perito Moreno and El Calafate. Shook us up for sure. As for mister rabbit- he exploded. The bike took it super well- he hit the crashbars which was lucky.sorry about any damage, looked purely cosmetic, but let me know! The bike itself was awesome- rey thinks the rear breaks might need to be replaced- it had enough brake pad to get us safely through the trip but the pads are pretty much toast by the end of our trip.
- Congratulations Kendra and Rey for your marriage and honeymoon, and for choosing to spend that time riding the Self-Guided Fly & RIDE The Patagonia Experience! You were the first Riders of the season to complete this route, so congrats on the safe finish. As for the rabbit, sounds like he was too "rascally" : )
"My partner and I didn’t speak a bit of Spanish but we chose to do the 7 day self guided tour. I loved Colombia and its fantastic views. The people were friendly and the cities were full of history. Our point of contact, Ricardo, was awesome. He was incredibly helpful and friendly. He went above and beyond what we expected. He will be very successful in this business and you can’t go wrong with him on your side. The bikes were new and in great shape, absolutely perfect for the terrain. We had some problems but nothing we couldn’t deal with and it didn’t slow us down. It was planned for more off-road for us. We had mud, rocks, rain and landslides to deal with. It made it a true adventure! I think you could ride the country for months and never ride the same road twice. WE WILL BE BACK!!!"
- Chris Coonshead and his buddy, David, seem to have discovered what Riders from around the world are talking about: Not only is Colombia perfectly safe to experience in person, but our Self-Guided "Fly & RIDE The Essential Colombia Adventure Ride" package makes it easy to have an experience like the one they had! Come on back, guys, the bikes and fun people of Colombia will be waiting : )

2024 Nissan Frontier
2024 Nissan Frontier Review
- Smooth ride quality
- Stable and secure handling
- Helpful storage spaces for small items
- Hard to find a comfortable driving position
- Odd layout of some controls and on-screen menus
- Steering is overly heavy
- Less rear seat space than other midsize crew-cab trucks
What's new
- Hardbody Edition appearance package evokes Nissan's 1980s-era pickup
- New SL top trim added to crew-cab trim levels
- Minor feature changes to trims and options
- Part of the third Frontier generation for 2022
It's a great time to be a midsize truck shopper. The 2024 Nissan Frontier is one of about a half-dozen pickups offering robust strength and utility without the full-size truck footprint or the full-size fuel cost. The versatile Frontier offers two cab styles (extended or crew) and two bed lengths (short or extended), plus a gutsy V6 engine, a 6,600-plus-pound max towing capacity, and a host of optional active safety aids. The Frontier remains a worthy choice with strong value. But several redesigned rivals have since raised the bar, leaving the Frontier already feeling a bit behind.
Cost to Drive Cost to drive estimates for the 2024 Nissan Frontier S 4dr King Cab 6.1 ft. SB (3.8L 6cyl 9A) and comparison vehicles are based on 15,000 miles per year (with a mix of 55% city and 45% highway driving) and energy estimates of $3.46 per gallon for regular unleaded in Virginia.
Edmunds spotlight: retro, rugged and rad.
For 2024, Nissan gets nostalgic and introduces a new Hardbody Edition, an appearance package that evokes the brand's Hardbody lineup from the mid-1980s to mid-1990s. From the 17-inch triangular spoke wheels to the black bumpers, fender flares and roll bar of some that era's special editions, the Hardbody Edition is a fun throwback. If you were there, you know. Even if you weren't, the new package adds some literal flare to the rugged Frontier. We'd prefer it in King Cab configuration, similar to the original, but that's quibbling. A new SL premium trim is also offered this year and introduces luxuries such as leather upholstery, a sunroof and an upgraded audio system.
Competitors to consider
Once a desert, the midsize truck landscape is thriving. Both the Ford Ranger and Toyota Tacoma have been redesigned for 2024, emphasizing more power, comfort and improved tech. The recently redesigned (for 2023) Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon offer class-leading towing capacity, while the Jeep Gladiator is formidable off-road and practical on. The Honda Ridgeline, meanwhile, goes its own way with less hauling and towing capacity but a comfortable ride, impressive fuel economy and innovative storage features.

Towing and Storage
Fuel economy, which frontier does edmunds recommend.
The midrange SV doesn't add many standard features compared to the base trim, but it gets our nod because it offers options unavailable on the base trim. We'd add the Convenience package for its heated seats, spray-in bedliner, sliding rear window and other useful upgrades. The SV is also the only way to get a crew cab and long-bed configuration.
Nissan Frontier models
Nissan offers the Frontier in four trim levels: S , SV , Pro-X ( Pro-4X with four-wheel drive) and SL . The Pro-X and SL are only available as crew cabs, while the SV trim is the only way to get a crew cab with the 6-foot bed. Standard and optional feature highlights for these trim levels include:
S Gets you the basics, including:
- 16-inch steel wheels
- Cloth upholstery
- 8-inch touchscreen
- Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration
- Two USB ports
- Four-speaker sound system
- Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
The optional S Utility package adds:
- Spray-in bedliner
- Two household-style power outlets (one in cabin, one in bed)
SV Similar to the S but with:
- 16-inch alloy wheels
- Power-adjustable driver's seat
- Six-speaker audio system
The optional SV Convenience package (standard on the crew cab with the 6-foot bed) adds:
- 17-inch alloy wheels
- Adjustable bed tie-down cleats
- Bed under-rail lighting
- Trailer hitch with wiring harness
- Sliding rear window
- Two household-style power outlets
- Heated mirrors
- Heated leather-wrapped steering wheel
- Heated front seats
- Proximity keyless entry
- Remote start
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
SL The SL builds on the SV's standard and Convenience package features with:
- LED headlights
- Leather upholstery
- 10-speaker Fender sound system
Pro-X/Pro-4X The Pro-X starts with most of the SL's features, though some are optional. Standard features include:
- Dark-painted wheels with all-terrain tires
- Bilstein shock absorbers
- Locking rear differential (for enhanced traction when off-roading)
- Extra skid plates (Pro-4X only)
- 9-inch touchscreen
- Wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Surround-view camera (adds off-road mode on Pro-4X)
There's a Pro Convenience package for the Pro-X/Pro-4X that's similar to the SV's Convenience package. It has those features plus:
- 360-degree camera system (gives you a top-down view of the Frontier and its surroundings for tight parking situations)
- Wireless smartphone charging pad
Similarly, the Pro Premium package adds:
- 17-inch alloy beadlock wheels
- Upgraded interior trim
The optional Hardbody Edition is available only as a 4x4 crew-cab SV with a short bed and includes:
- Unique 17-inch alloy wheels
- All-terrain tires
- Black roll bar
- Fender flares
- Black bumpers
- Black mirrors
All Frontiers can add the safety-oriented Technology package. It includes:
- Lane departure warning (alerts you if the vehicle begins to drift out of its lane)
- Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse)
- Rear automatic braking (brakes if sensors detect an imminent collision with an object behind the vehicle)
- Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Frontier and the car in front)

2021 midsize truck comparison: tacoma vs. ranger vs. frontier vs. colorado & canyon.
NOTE: This video is about the 2022 Nissan Frontier, but since the 2024 Nissan Frontier is part of the same generation, our earlier analysis still applies.
2024 Nissan Frontier Features Specs
Compare the nissan frontier.

Nissan Frontier vs. Chevrolet Colorado
The Chevrolet Colorado and its GMC Canyon twin received thorough overhauls for the 2023 model year. These included fresh looks, new turbo four-cylinder powertrains and more advanced infotainment tech. A 7,700-pound tow rating — about 1,000 pounds more than the Frontier's max capacity — remains consistent, though, and helps keep the Colorado/Canyon near the top of the midsize truck rankings. The GM twins and Frontier are pretty evenly matched on power, although the Colorado delivers more low-end punch thanks to its turbo engine.
Nissan Frontier vs. Ford Ranger
The Ford Ranger is fully redesigned for 2024, with much-needed updates that should make it a strong midsize pickup contender. A new V6 engine delivers a hearty 315 hp, there's more advanced infotainment, and new chassis and suspension settings promise a more comfortable and controlled ride. We haven't driven one yet, but the slate of upgrades alone sounds like enough to vault the Ranger in front of the Frontier.
Nissan Frontier vs. Toyota Tacoma
Like the Ranger, the Tacoma undergoes a thorough transformation for 2024. While the Frontier recently had the edge on the last-generation Tacoma — smoother ride, more responsive transmission, better brakes — the forthcoming Tacoma is likely to resume its standing as one of today's top midsize pickups. Suspension updates, a switch to more powerful, efficient turbo engines, and even a hybrid option promise to make the Tacoma less of a daily-driven compromise. And the Toyota's towing capacity will be similar to the Frontier's.

2024 Nissan Frontier First Impressions
The Nissan Frontier is a midsize truck that is one of two pickups in Nissan's lineup, alongside the full-size Titan. But don't let the Frontier's smaller size fool you: It's still plenty capable with a pair of cab (extended or crew) and bed (short or extended) options.
We don't expect much in the way of changes for the 2024, as the Frontier was recently redesigned in 2022, kicking off its third generation. However, we should note that this wasn't a redesign in the traditional sense because many things stayed the same on the updated Frontier. It rides on the same platform and uses the same engine as the previous-generation truck, but the wrapping has changed and the truck now boasts a new, more rugged exterior and an updated interior.
The redesign gave the Frontier some added cachet and new technology that make it easier to live with day-to-day, including automatic emergency braking and an 8-inch standard touchscreen that comes with standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity since the multimedia system feels a generation behind already.
The Frontier offers just one powertrain option, a trusty 3.8-liter V6, an interesting choice as some competitors like the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon are downsizing into turbocharged four-cylinders across the board. The V6 makes 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the majority of the Frontier's trim levels, with only the Pro-4X coming with standard four-wheel drive (though it can be optioned across the board). We expect payload (1,610 pounds) and towing (6,720 pounds) maximums will stay right where they are.
These changes upped the Frontier's game against competitors like the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado and our top-rated midsize truck, the Honda Ridgeline. But with the Colorado redesigned for 2023 and the Tacoma and Ranger due for remakes of their own soon, the Frontier might once again need another dose of modernization to remain competitive.
Though recently redesigned, the Frontier is already starting to show its age in a segment that will change rapidly over the next couple years.

There really are no words to describe this tour! We felt safe and cared about the whole time and our guide offered lots of info on the areas where we stopped. He was just the best! Man are we glad we did this one. After a short trip through town, it’s game on immediately. Is it hair raising? YES! Is it worth it! YES! We have been sky diving and this trip rivals that! If you have a sense for adventure, you cannot miss this tour when In Moab!
This was easily the best experience we had in Moab. Not only was our side by side experience the real deal, breathtaking and exciting in every sense- our guide Jesse was the best. He not only ensured our safety every step of the way, his stories and personal experience amongst the beauty created an intimate feel and very real sense of history amongst such beautiful natural features. Whether climbing Devil’s Spine or speeding through the sand, Moab Tourism Center and Jesse made this a must-do adventure every time we come back to Moab.
We did the Hurrah Pass Scenic tour the day before Thanksgiving. The plan was to drive our own 4x4 and follow our tour guide, Sean-Paul. But that plan changed as soon as we met him. We knew we wanted to be in the same vehicle as this highly energetic, very personable, and super knowledgeable guide. I don't think you could find a person in Moab who is more educated on Petroglyphs and Pictographs and all things Hurrah Pass, than our guide Sean-Paul.
This was the funniest thing to do in Moab! Danny was an awesome guide he made the tour such a great experience! He is experienced and knowledgeable of the terrain, professional and fun! He also made this fun for my mother who was really nervous to do it but because he was safe and reassuring, we all had the time of our lives! Highly recommend this tour company!
Great experience driving the UTV thru Hell's Revenge. I never imagined the capabilities of those sophisticated machines. Jeff did a great job of explaining the operation of the UTV as well as leading us thru the course. Definitely the highlight of our trip! Thanks Jeff!
My wife, my 9 year old son, my 7 year old daughter and I had an amazing time! I’m not experienced with off-roading, but Ben made it so fun and enjoyable! Ben was really funny and great with my kids. He was a great guide for an awesome adventure. I would 100% come back to Moab and do this again with Moab Tourism Center!

Walking at the Garden of the Gods is a captivating journey into a rugged, Martian-like landscape. This surreal terrain, sculpted by nature's forces, showcases vivid red and orange hues contrasted against the blue sky. The walk unveils rock formations & geological wonders that spark the imagination.
This pristine stretch of coastline offers a dramatic seascape with the remains of a World War II-era shipwreck in the background. The golden sands are framed by turquoise waters, creating a stunning contrast. While swimming is discouraged, it is an ideal spot for taking in the breathtaking scenery.

A fantastic day trip providing lots of background on the island and an opportunity to view most of it. Russ is a great tour guide and made certain we had a great time. He also provided some recommendations for our aftern ... oon at the beach. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking to get the most out of a day trip to Lanai.
Wes was wonderful in anticipating our needs (we are old!) and made our experience unforgettable. It was everything we hoped for and beyond. We highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Lana'i
We had fun exploring an island not usually on a tourists itinerary.
Clive, our guide/driver was fantastic! So much information about Lanai and Hawaiian culture. Was great to see this island before it gets too developed. The beach was lovely and so not crowded with gorgeous views!

- Lows No luxurious model, no killer off-road model, no big-tow-rating model.
- Verdict The Titan’s host of standard features is strong, but it’s the oldest truck in the segment with the fewest available configurations.
What's New for 2023?
Nissan makes only a few minor equipment changes to the Titan for 2023. Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve models now come standard with wireless Apple CarPlay. Nissan has also re-introduced the Midnight Edition package for crew-cab SV models. That package goes dark with black exterior and interior styling, as well as black 20-inch wheels.
Pricing and Which One to Buy
The price of the 2023 Nissan Titan starts at $42,360 and goes up to $61,330 depending on the trim and options.
Since the Titan is far from class-leading we think it serves best as a work truck. That means the base S model with the standard extended cab and rear-wheel drive. Of course, those who want the added capability of all-wheel drive can add it for extra coin. This choice limits the number of optional upgrades, but it still features standard equipment such as an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. It also has automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and more.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
Unlike the variety of powertrains available on light-duty rivals, the Titan makes do with a single engine and transmission combo. Its venerable 5.6-liter V-8 produces 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque and pairs with a nine-speed automatic. The Titan trades handling and ride quality for off-road ruggedness and potent hauling capacities. While it can giddyap to 60 mph as quickly as competitors’ V-8 models and has sufficient stopping power, its steering and handling aren't as refined as its rivals’. Although the Titan and the separately reviewed Titan XD share cabs and other components, they have their own specific chassis and suspensions. The Titan Pro-4X version swaps the stock shocks for an off-road set better suited for rough roads, but we noted that they feel stiffer than rivals with similar setups. When we last drove the updated-for-2020 Titan , we found that it couldn’t match the impressive ride quality of the Ram 1500. Since the Titan is essentially unchanged mechanically since that time, we think that impression will hold true for the 2023 edition as well.
Towing and Payload Capacity
When it comes to the all-important tow and payload ratings, the Titan's maximums are at the back of the pack. Still, its ability to tow up to 9660 pounds is more than enough for most owners, and every model can pull at least 9240 pounds.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The Titan is estimated to earn up to 21 mpg on the highway, but while the rear-drive version is rated at 16 mpg in the city, the four-wheel-drive version gets 1 mpg less. The Titan Pro-4X has estimates of 15 mpg city and 20 highway. We haven't tested a Titan on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen , but we'll evaluate its real-world mpg when we have the chance. For more information about the Titan's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website .
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Titan impresses with a serene cabin and its standard set of outrageously comfy Zero Gravity front seats, as Nissan calls them. Good-looking premium materials are reserved for the Platinum Reserve trim. Unfortunately, the Titan's interior design is dull, the abundance of plastic disappoints, and the crew cab's rear-seat legroom is the least of all of its competitors. When it comes to cargo control, the Titan is one of the best in the biz. Every model has a spring-assisted tailgate for easy use, and innovative add-ons such as a unique bed-channel system and discreet in-bed cargo boxes are available. However, its ample interior storage space disappoints when it comes to finding a spot for smaller items, and its cargo boxes have the least amount of storage space among rivals. The Titan's two bed lengths tied to cab size: 6.6 feet for the extended cab and 5.6-feet for the crew cab.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Every model has an 8.0-inch touchscreen that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability; a larger 9.0-inch unit is also available. Both interfaces incorporate the latest NissanConnect infotainment software, which makes for a modernized user experience. The Titan also can be had with wireless charging for smartphones, a mobile hotspot, a powerful Fender audio system, and several power-charging ports.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Overall safety rating (nhtsa).
The Titan does offer a slew of standard driver-assistance technology . There also are several desirable options that include a 360-degree camera, a unique motion-detector system, and more. For more information about the Titan's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( NHTSA ) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety ( IIHS ) websites. Key safety features include:
- Standard automated emergency braking
- Available blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert
- Available adaptive cruise control
Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
The Titan has the best limited and powertrain warranties in its class. The second-shortest roadside-assistance coverage and no complimentary scheduled maintenance detract from its otherwise comprehensive protection plan.
- Limited warranty covers five years or 100,000 miles
- Powertrain warranty covers five years or 100,000 miles
- No complimentary scheduled maintenance
